This place is a miss. It’s extremely crowded and overwhelmingly family-oriented, with kids everywhere. Everything is overpriced and aggressively upsold—beach chairs cost extra, cabanas run about $800/day, coffee is $8, a can of coke is $10, and breakfast buffets run you $60+. Unless you pay for upgrades, there’s barely any space at the pools or on the beach. The gym is nice but you can’t even use the locker rooms or sauna if you don’t pay for an overpriced spa treatment. The showers don’t stay hot, the beaches are packed, and the walls are paper-thin. Expect to be woken up by drunk guests late at night or screaming children early in the morning (unfortunately, experienced both). At the pools they will blast music and you will not get an ounce of zen. If you’re looking for a relaxing, peaceful beach stay, this is not the vibe.

Has everything, but very expensive. This resort is HUGE. It literally took 20 min. To walk from our room to the water park on the same property. It was an amazing place, but everything there was very high- end. Stores included Tiffany's and Balenciaga. There was no casual shopping. I felt underdressed even in the restaurants labeled as"casual." Everything has a 25$ service charge, even when no service was included and you were just purchasing a bag of chips. This trip cost me $1200 more than i expected by the time i checked out, just for my mother and I. I would not recommend it for family travel unless you are lucky enough to be very wealthy.

I'll start with what was great about the Baha Mar. Overall it's an absolutely gorgeous resort with every amenity you could wish for - multiple pools, tons of restaurants to choose from, amazing grounds - great for an evening stroll, spa service's, beautiful white sand beach with lots of lounge chairs, wonderful tennis courts and pickle ball courts and a large casino. The grounds, hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean. Our ocean facing room had 2 extremely comfortable queen size beds and a large deck for enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. The room and bathroom are super spacious and well appointed. The rooms have a mini fridge and coffee maker. Now for the drawbacks. We arrived on a Friday night later than expected, around 9pm due to a flight delay. Upon arrival we were told our room wasn't ready which was disheartening after a very long day of travel, when check in time is 3pm. The front desk offered to comp us a meal at the Regatta buffet restaurant while we waited for our room. The total cost for the buffet for myself and teenage son, with 2 beers was $187USD. While its nice the meal was comped, this was an outrageous price for what was a basic buffet. The pricing was exorbitant for food, and reservations were impossible to get unless booked weeks in advance. Even with a reservation we ended up waiting over an hour to be seated. For the price I would prefer my go to resorts like JW Marriott.

We have been going to this property for a few years now. This year they only have chairs around the pool that yoy have to pay for. Even in children's pool which absolutely made no sense since how where parents suppose to watch there kids. The feeling was mutual among guest. We are already paying a very high resort fee and now to be charged another $100 for chairs is absolutely unacceptable. All the guests where struggling to find somewhere to sit due to all chairs around all pools charged a fee. Absolutely all chairs our entire stay where unoccupied. So it was extremely hard to find somewhere to sit. When a property starts charging for every little thing the customer feels completely taken advantage of. You can't charge this big resort fee and then charge for chairs. Also with the big resort fee it doesn't include tennis court, mini golf,pickle ball. This should all be included in the resort fee. What are we paying for then?? This was on the minds off all guests that we spoke with. Some guests where saying this was there last time visiting this property. I think it will be ours as well.

My stay at Baha Mar Hyatt…..was looking forward to my stay at Baha Mar. A relatively new and exciting resort in The Bahamas . I was very disappointed! First thing my ocean view room , yes I could see the ocean if I looked to the left and right of the big building right in front of me . Why they thought to put it in front of both towers is ridiculous. Next to the grounds and pool areas . Both areas in constant need of cleaning , garbage and towels everywhere. You would think someone would come around to clean , not a chance. The pool water was cloudy with debris on the bottom of every one I went to. There were also numerous areas blocked off with plywood walls , looked like these areas were closed for good . They did paint the plywood green , very tropical ! Next the beach area , very small with lounge chairs crammed 2 inches from each other. This area also had garbage not being cleaned just being left out. Now for the employees of the hotel and grounds . I know a hospitality job can’t be easy but this is the first time traveling that I could say most of them seemed miserable. Even when offering a simple good morning no reply. After a few tries my wife and I gave up . Now for the good …. The water park was fun and a good change of pace to the day . The restaurants I tried were excellent , be ready for a high cost for that excellence. The restaurant staffs were top notch . The casino was clean with any games you like available. Bottom line not worth your money , pass this up.

This was our second stay at Baha Mar. The resort itself is lovely with lots of amenities like the aviary, marine life sanctuary, kid friendly pools, water park, and beach. The Grand Hyatt hotel itself is nice but our 11th floor on the East Tower had a consistently foul odor near the ice machine room, and it was clearly a known issue by the staff but they offered no remedy. Our room was fine but the bathroom has a strong odor coming up through the shower drain, and it disappeared after you ran the water, so something deeper down in the drainage line. Not sure if these odor issues are connected but it definitely made the stay less than ideal.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in late July/early August. As someone who works in customer experience and sales, I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect accountability, consistency, and cleanliness. Unfortunately, the Hyatt side of Baha Mar fell short. Upon arrival, our room overlooked a common area filled with trash — cigarette butts, cans, clothing, and bathing suits that looked like they’d been there for weeks. We experienced long delays at restaurants, including a 45-minute wait past our reservation at Sugar Factory. The food didn’t make up for it. Pizza Lab ran out of cheese pizza. We were offered free dessert, but it turned into a negotiation the next day. We reserved a cabana with zero service. Trash lined the pool areas daily with no cleanup. Room service took 90 minutes. Bars were routinely out of basic ingredients like mint and limes. One bartender claimed there was no bottled water while we could see cases 50 feet away. Housekeeping was inconsistent. One day we stepped out and confirmed the room was ready, only to return 45 minutes later with nothing cleaned. The staff consistently deflected responsibility, blaming third-party vendors like the Sugar Factory and Pizza Lab. We visited the Rosewood several times, and the difference in service was night and day. Hyatt did offer an $800 credit, but next time, we’ll book elsewhere and save the trouble.

Terrible WiFi and you ran out of blankets. Unbelievable for the amount of money you charge. Your beachfront is dirty with plastics and broken beer bottles floating in the water. Most staff is not as nice as other comparable places I’ve stayed.

Everywhere in the Bahamas is expensive and this is NO exception. The Spa and gym is lovely and with their specials (check website) worth a visit. Rooms were disappointing - views of ocean do so over the roofs of building and balcony is thin and tiny. Rooms need upkeep, especially bathroom grout and corners need a good clean. The restaurants are sub-par, the only decent meal was at the Japanese restaurant and the almond croissants at Cafe Madeline. The Jazz bar had great entertainment. Overall just another overpriced Nassau hotel, nothing special.

The hotel itself was clean and the staff friendly. The layout of the hotel was not good, we were used to visiting years ago when the Crystal Palace was in this location. The rooms were too far from the ocean so ocean view was minimal. The waterpark which was a huge eyesore was smack dab in the middle of the buildings. None of the restaurant served Bahamian style meals and there was basically no entertainment. Highly disappointed and would not return.

The room was nice. Property would have been easier to get around if a map was offered at check in. I upgraded to ocean front, but had jack hammer construction literally under my window the entire time. I paid to sit on balcony and could not due to contrustion noise. If I had know there was construction I would not have upgraded and paid the extra money. This part was extremely disappointing.

Sinnessjukt otrevlig och nonchalant personal, framför allt i receptionen. Man får inte vistas på hotellområdet knappt utan att betala extra. Vill du ligger vid vuxna poolen? Minimumspend 180 dollar, vidrigt mycket barn och oljud överallt, kvalite på maten var fruktansvärd. Rummet extremt lyhört så barnen i rummet bredvid hördes in i vårt rum, grannen åt andra hållet som snarkade hördes in i vårt rum. Sämsta vistelsen jag någonsin haft tyvärr.

It’s a nice place but the rooms and balconies are small. There are a lot of small pools and the parents with small kids go out early to stake their claim and don’t come back until 10-11. They do have small pools that you can reserve a spot at, but from what I saw hardly anyone was. The beach is way too crowded. The pools are only open from 9am to 6pm. You don’t need a room to come in and use the property. I would recommend Atlantis over Baha Mar.

didn’t not service us almost the entire stay. room service took an hour plus for 3 cokes. Requesting for a blanket and took more an 3 hours to come. At check out there were multiple charges that were not ours that were on our bill which shows our unprofessional their company is as a whole. Charging us for things we never consumed or asked for. costumer service is an all time low. would not recommend staying here!

My stay at Baha Mar was overall wonderful. The property itself is absolutely beautiful — very clean, modern, and visually stunning. Our ocean-view room was spectacular and one of the highlights of our trip. The pools, beach, and overall atmosphere all felt high-end and relaxing. The only downside was the inconsistency in staff knowledge. Several times we asked for directions around the resort and many employees didn’t seem familiar with where things were located, which was surprising for a property of this size and caliber. Another issue happened at The Swimming Pig. The bill already included a gratuity (which is fine), but our server told us the gratuity “goes to Baha Mar, not to the staff” in an attempt to get us to tip again. Hotel has gone downhill fast. They do not communicate properly and ignore any and all requests like getting your room cleaned for days at a time even when requests are made. I have been here several times in the past but after this experience I will not be back. Super disappointed

Property was nice and water park was amazing! Things are expensive!!! Drift pool was great! Always clean. The front desk was not very helpful. The breakfast buffet accidentally charged me for my child who is 5 years old. When I went to front desk for assistance, they told me I had to go to restaurant to deal with the issue myself. When I got to restaurant the staff there was very surprised I was sent my front desk and the manager at restaurant had to email front desk to take care of it for me. Second example, I went to front desk around 715p to cancel a restaurant reservation, they told me to go to concierge desk. When I arrived no one was there. Two nice staff members at the photography desk informed me that the concierge closes at 7p everyday. The property is big! Upon check in I wasn’t given a map or any guidance on the property and how to get around.

The place is a rip off and just don’t worth it. It’s severely overpriced with horrible service and staff. The staff is not engaging and frankly don’t care about their customers. “Show me the incentives and I will show you the outcomes” means a lot here, as staff have their service fee added up automatically to the bill regardless of how they treat us. That’s why they could care less. Water, food, drinks, everything is overpriced. You couldn’t get a table at a restaurant even if they are half empty. We are not going back to Bahamas. It’s not worth our time and money.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful ocean view from room, large shower and comfortable bed and linens. Nice walkways around the resort grounds and along the ocean. THE Beach area had complementry loungers, umbrellas, and water sports. Enjoyed watching turtles and manta rays from the walkway off the pier. Having the water park next door was a fun bonus. Even as middle age married couple on a kid free trip. FyI The water park is cheaper on food and drinks. They do give you reusble water bottles however, its hard to fing good cold water. And the charge for bottle water is outrages. The sugar factory was the best testing food for the value of your dollar.

Beautiful property with a lot of activities to do for all ages. The waterpark was a lot of fun and a bonus for the kids, and even for the adults. There are a lot of options for water sports and tours on the beach. The beach was very clean. I highly recommend this property.

I'll start with what was great about the Baha Mar. Overall it's an absolutely gorgeous resort with every amenity you could wish for - multiple pools, tons of restaurants to choose from, amazing grounds - great for an evening stroll, spa service's, beautiful white sand beach with lots of lounge chairs, wonderful tennis courts and pickle ball courts and a large casino. The grounds, hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean. Our ocean facing room had 2 extremely comfortable queen size beds and a large deck for enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. The room and bathroom are super spacious and well appointed. The rooms have a mini fridge and coffee maker. Now for the drawbacks. We arrived on a Friday night later than expected, around 9pm due to a flight delay. Upon arrival we were told our room wasn't ready which was disheartening after a very long day of travel, when check in time is 3pm. The front desk offered to comp us a meal at the Regatta buffet restaurant while we waited for our room. The total cost for the buffet for myself and teenage son, with 2 beers was $187USD. While its nice the meal was comped, this was an outrageous price for what was a basic buffet. The pricing was exorbitant for food, and reservations were impossible to get unless booked weeks in advance. Even with a reservation we ended up waiting over an hour to be seated. For the price I would prefer my go to resorts like JW Marriott.

Overall an amazing - if much more expensive than anticipated — experience! Rooms were exceptionally clean / bummer that we got assigned a junior balcony instead of a full one. But with so much space “on campus” - no need to be in the room other than to shower, change and sleep. All the staff were so kind and friendly. One note of caution - do not go to Carna Steakhouse. Made that mistake first night. Great service but subpar steak (I am used to NY steakhouses) and absolute thievery on their prices. It will take you a while to find but there is ONE red wine under $200 for the bottle which is passable to eat with your steak (ours was a “porterhouse” with an full inch plus of fat down one side - rest wasn’t that great either)?very, very disappointed. We LOVED Marcus Fish and Chophouse. It’s down by the beach - we were so excited to leave the casino building complex for dinner- make sure you sit up on second floor which is covered roof but open air sides to the water. Just stunning ! And you can go there for just drinks at their spacious bar (and pro tip- they serve their dinner menu at the bar so if you can’t get reservations). Beach, casino, the jazz club, too many pools to count. And the water park slides! Oh my gosh …. So fun. An amazing time. This place is big enough to not be on a loop. You can do something different every day. Took a roadtrip downtown Nassau for some local culture and that was fun to! Would love to come back again and hope to do so.

This hotel is fantastic! Super nice, so may things to do, beautiful landscaping, so may pools, great beachfront - truly amazing. The only thing is that it is incredibly expensive! We didn’t drink much and ate at the restaurants - our bill at check out for 4 days was $1,400 with $700 of it being taxes. That was NOT for the room - just resort fees and food/drink. The food and drinks are sooo overpriced it is ridiculous. $10 for a draft beer and $18 for a cocktail. $30 for a less than average hamburger and fries. We normally come each year but this may be our last - just too much.

Room was nice enough but nothing special. There definitely are not enough restaurants to accommodate the hotel at peak capacity. The food is as you would expect at a big hotel. To get any assistance during the day you have to return and wait in ridiculous lines at the front desk.

We recently stayed at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in the Bahamas. The resort is stunning—very clean, beautifully maintained, and with a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the property itself feels luxurious and well-kept. However, there are a few things future travelers should know. Restaurant reservations need to be made well in advance, and there’s a $100 cancellation fee, which can be inconvenient. Dining here is very expensive—one dinner for two with just two cocktails cost nearly $450. Excursions were also priced quite high, ranging from $400 per person up to $3,000, even for similar tours we did last year at Atlantis for much less. It’s hard to tell if this is due to the resort itself or just rising costs in general, but it’s definitely something to budget for. Overall, it’s a beautiful and relaxing resort with excellent service, but travelers should be prepared for premium pricing on almost everything.

Having traveled all over the world, I would say that the Hyatt Grand Baha Mar hits the mark in certain areas but falls dreadfully short in others. The facilities are wonderful but the dining is grossly overpriced and the fees charged are absurd. I am not a cheap person by any stretch of the imagination but the Hyatt should be ashamed of this type of gouging.

Nice facilities and staff but food way too expensive for what you get. Would work on improving the value customers get from food. Liked the number of dining options but again way more than expensive than it should be.

Watch and be aware of high fee service and taxes example: They charge $12 for slice of pizza and $8 with change for can of coke. Pizza Lab at East side tower the staff are Rude! Caesar salad in the menu is $18 but they charge $35 I asked to explain it why is like that then she shows me microscopic letters at the bottom of their menu the fees I think they should have that written bigger so people can be aware anyways the resort is nice but food. Is ridiculously high!
