Wonderful stay here! Stayed in August, air conditioning worked perfectly. Easy check in/out. We had luggage delivered to the hotel from Kyoto, easy to pick it up from the front desk. Staff were wonderful. Hotel room felt newly renovated. The kids loved the bunk beds. Adequate facilities to prepare food- the kitchen area is very nice! Bathroom facilities were lovely- my husband loved the shower pressure, the kids loved the deep bath. The area is right next to the train/bus station, but we were not bothered by road noise. The 2nd floor has laundry facilities, I was able to use them twice during my stay. We drove to Takayama, there is a car park across the road, and we were lucky to get a space all times bar one. We parked in the station (on the other side of the tracks)- it's cheap overnight. We then moved the car back to the normal car park in the morning before the price shot up.

Very near Takayama station. The hotel is very new and high tech. Room is clean, large TV, have sink, induction stove and pans for simple cooking. Room door is using QR code or PIN code to open. Without the usual door card, the power and lighting does not auto off when you leave the room. So need to remember to off the TV, lights and aircon. Good place for vegan and vegetarian to stay here. There is a restaurant at the ground floor which have vegetarian options. Sadly, the restaurant don’t serve dinner, it close at 5pm. Fortunately managed to find 3 other vegetarian restaurants nearby within 5min walk (EVILTEX Hamburgers and Mexican food, Royal Nan House Takayama, Hids Cafe & Bar). There is sauna room, coin laundry (3 washer/dryer), hot and cold water dispenser and vending machines. The wait for the washer/dryer can be quite long if you go after 7pm. Each washing and drying take at least 2hr and you most likely need to run the dryer for a further 30min. There is no coin laundry shop nearby. Nearest seems to be 15-20min away. There are no complimentary mineral water, coffee and tea in the room. Safe was too small to put laptop. No hand soap in toilet. Rubbish bin in toilet is smaller than a tissue box. Most disappointing is the shower. It is using a thermostat mixer, but the temperature still keep fluctuating from very hot to cold.

Fantastic view from the 6th floor balcony, a short walk from the train station and right in the heart of the city on the highstreet. Not many facilities in the hotel, a bar andbistro in the lobby and a sauna that requires a reservation, all bathing is done privately in your room. City views surrounded by mountains on all sides made the balcony our highlight, a great place to take in the fresh mountain air and relax. The Tatami room was a close second with 4 bean bags and a table to sit at. We had to make up our own futons to sleep on, which weren't the thickets but were certainly comfortable enough and the wash room was a standard suite with a large bath and window. The locale is likely the best reason to stay here. The city is not particularly large and you're right in the middle of it. We simply picked a direction and walked for 10 minutes until we arrived at the highstreet, old town or up into the mountains. The city is a great stop for any trip, the food, atmosphere a nature around are brilliant and this placemakes for a great hub. There may be better options available but if it suits your purpose it's a nice place to stay

The property is clean and modern. The rooms are spacious and a nice take on the western-Japanese rooms. The location is convenient being right next to the train station and bus terminal. The included breakfast is satisfactory without being great, but was enough to start the day. Staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

We loved our top floor apartment with a huge bath looking out over the city. The hotel is just around the corner from the train station so it's location is ideal, and just a short walk to Takayama old town. The apartment was very spacious, and we loved the huge bath and TV and the 4 huge beds, 2 of which are bunks. Some dust around the corner of one of the beds and the sofa had a stain, nothing major but could do better here. Staff were all pleasant, breakfast was limited to only 3 choices of a menu and I tried all 3 and it was ok. Found a hair in the ham sandwich one morning, so breakfast overall was disappointing and could do with improving. Overall, I would highly recommend but maybe have breakfast out or in your apartment.

Beautiful, modern family apartment. Plenty of room to stretch out. Kids loved the bunk beds. Immaculately clean. Lovely, helpful staff. Only minor shortcoming was the randomly changing temperature in the shower. Other than that, perfection!

It was almost perfect. The towels were very thin and old, and the light switches were very hard to understand. Other than those two tiny things everything else was perfect. Very clean nice and comfortable.

Ottima scelta per visitare la città se si arriva e riparte con treno o autobus in quanto è vicinissima alla stazione. La nostra camera era grande e spaziosa per gli standard giapponesi. Pulizia buona anche se si potrebbe fare meglio (la padella non era pulita, il sotto della tavoletta del wc era sporco e mancava una spigna per lavare le stoviglie). Colazione scarsa.

Although right next to the train line and busy roads, it was still very quiet. Stayed in a bunk suite and the room was huge with a big kitchen, living room and bunks over 2 double beds. The bath on the balcony was so unique. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

-This is new hotel so everything is new -Downside: 1)the tatami rooms are corner rooms, the bathrooms are not properly insulated against cold weather. In Winter condition, the bathroom is very cold.. The only way is the fill up the tub with very hot water and use the handspray spray hot water all over. Only by doing so, the heat can replace the icy cold temperature. 2)If u choose the tatami rooms, u have to insert your own bedsheet into the mattress If not for above 2 x downside, i would have given this hotel a 5 star review.

This hotel has rooms with kitchens, which is great for a long stay. Our room was spacious and clean. The entrance of the hotel is cafe. The young male receptionist in the morning looked unhappy to interact with the guests. The hotel does not take any cash for the payment. Also, the hotel does not keep the luggage for the guests before check in/after check out as there is no space for it.

The hotel is a good stopover for visiting here. What the hotel could improve is there breakfast, this wasn’t great, the coffee was good but you could only have one drink so either tea, coffee or a juice. The other slightly annoying thing is, we checked in at 2:45 and had to wait 15 mins before we were aloud up to our room. The room was ready as there was only 5 other rooms booked. If it’s ready let your customers go to their room early, pointless and very jobs worthy.

Check-in is strictly at 3pm so if you are early, be prepared to leave your luggage first and talk a walk around the area. There are only 4-5 parking slots available within property so be sure to check-in earliest possible. Plenty of amenities available in lobby for you to take, including bath robes and eye masks. Rooms were big and the tatami area was comfortable to relax in. Beds were a little hard but still acceptable. It is like a serviced apartment where there are stoves and cooking utensils available, including microwave, spatula and tableware. Housekeeping is only done every 3 days and this date is agreed during check-in. If you accidentally hung the DO NOT DISTURB sign on your door, you will have to wait another 3 days for housekeeping. This is non-negotiable and it happened during my stay. The night staff on the 3rd night agreed for housekeeping to be arranged on the 4th morning but it never happened. Reception staff even tried to downplay the miscommunication and bargained to not provivde more towels as it is 2 pax staying in a 4 pax room. Even if DND sign is out, staff is supposed to change towels and clear the rubbish but this did not happen. Reception staff again tried to dismiss this thus both my friend and I are thoroughly disappointed in this matter.

We booked for 4 nights. Cannot accept cleaning after staying for 3 days. 4 people stayed in a room with kitchen to cook. Toilet, kitchen and trash should clean every 1-2 days. We stayed on 3/F facing train station. The train woke us up very early at 6:15am. It’s not buffet breakfast. We had the same pancakes for 4 morning. We reserved 2 blankets but only got one for the last 2 nights. After check-out, hotel cannot keep our luggage. It’s out of our expectation.

The front desk are really helpful. I had problems with communications on my car bookings and Takayama tickets. They were so patient in helping me. If you are a foreign guest , this hotel is great. The rooms are spacious. The soft jazz music in the lounge is lovely. It’s location is great. Lots of good eateries nearby. Check out Cafe Basque for a lovely small restaurant with reasonable good Spanish food with good vibes. Prices are decent.

We loved our top floor apartment with a huge bath looking out over the city. The hotel is just around the corner from the train station so it's location is ideal, and just a short walk to Takayama old town. The apartment was very spacious, and we loved the huge bath and TV and the 4 huge beds, 2 of which are bunks. Some dust around the corner of one of the beds and the sofa had a stain, nothing major but could do better here. Staff were all pleasant, breakfast was limited to only 3 choices of a menu and I tried all 3 and it was ok. Found a hair in the ham sandwich one morning, so breakfast overall was disappointing and could do with improving. Overall, I would highly recommend but maybe have breakfast out or in your apartment.

The property is clean and modern. The rooms are spacious and a nice take on the western-Japanese rooms. The location is convenient being right next to the train station and bus terminal. Very near Takayama station. The hotel is very new and high tech. Room is clean, large TV, have sink, induction stove and pans for simple cooking. Room door is using QR code or PIN code to open. Without the usual door card, the power and lighting does not auto off when you leave the room. So need to remember to off the TV, lights and aircon. Good place for vegan and vegetarian to stay here. There is a restaurant at the ground floor which have vegetarian options. Sadly, the restaurant don’t serve dinner, it close at 5pm. Fortunately managed to find 3 other vegetarian restaurants nearby within 5min walk (EVILTEX Hamburgers and Mexican food, Royal Nan House Takayama, Hids Cafe & Bar). There is sauna room, coin laundry (3 washer/dryer), hot and cold water dispenser and vending machines. The wait for the washer/dryer can be quite long if you go after 7pm. Each washing and drying take at least 2hr and you most likely need to run the dryer for a further 30min. There is no coin laundry shop nearby. Nearest seems to be 15-20min away. Ottima scelta per visitare la città se si arriva e riparte con treno o autobus in quanto è vicinissima alla stazione. La nostra camera era grande e spaziosa per gli standard giapponesi. Pulizia buona anche se si potrebbe fare meglio (la padella non era pulita, il sotto della tavoletta del wc era sporco e mancava una spigna per lavare le stoviglie). Colazione scarsa.

This hotel has its pros and cons, but it’s a place I’d happily revisit. The location is fantastic—central and convenient for exploring the area. However, the breakfast left a lot to be desired. The only options were a sandwich or pancakes, and unfortunately, neither was enjoyable. If breakfast is important to you, I’d suggest planning to eat elsewhere. We ended up staying in two different rooms due to a change of plans. Based on this experience, I’d highly recommend booking the modern Japanese room or a higher-tier option. Unfortunately, my stay did not live up to expectations. While the staff were friendly, there were several aspects of the experience that left me disappointed. The room was generally clean, but I found a strand of hair on the bed and another by the sink on arrival. Check-in was fine, although the reception area is oddly placed as it shares the same space as the bar, which felt a little unusual. I didn’t try the breakfast because the menu offered a limited selection. The kitchenette was useful but only provided the basic essentials. The bed was also not particularly comfortable. One frustrating issue was that the shower initially appeared not to work. It required a separate switch to be turned on, but this was not explained and there was no signage in the room. Once working, however, the shower and round bath were good. The balcony was a nice feature, but overall the room felt more basic than the promotional photos suggested. Overall, the experience did not quite meet my expectations.

Utensils and cups had stains. Asked for extra tissue box and recep couldn't bring it up to our room for us instead asked us to take it along to dinner. Bed sheet spread was not fully covering mattress. Room faced railroad and was noisy. Breakfast was underwhelming. Layout was great for big families though and overall facilities for a good nights sleep good.

Modern and clean. More options for breakfast would be appreciated but not a big deal given the prime location. I like the convenience of having QR code for room key and the comfortable beds.

I loved this hotel — it was super clean, the staff was wonderful, and the location was excellent. I loved the coffee and the comfortable areas throughout the hotel. The beds were also very comfortable.
