The staff was great and friendly from the time I walked in the door. The food at the restaurant was great! My favorite part was the little bar and the great bartenders

This place has seen better days. Exterior has chipped paint, & broken boards. Bathroom was in need of an update, shower walls were dirty. Pool was closed for maintenance both days I stayed. The do have a cool bar/restaurant, food was great, & the bartender, Kimber was awesome. It appears that the locals enjoy food, & bar atmosphere.

Surprised there wasnt an elevator inside the building but otherwise the facilities were clean and well kept.

Average hotel that needs work on the freshness of its breakfast. Side entrance door, although labeled as locked 24 hrs. never locked.

The first we knew there was no elevator in this motel was after we had paid for the room and were all signed in. As she handed us the key she told us there wasn't an elevator and no first floor rooms left. We are both in our later 70's, and had to carry our belongings up a long flight of stairs. We managed to do so, but not without some difficulty.

I really enjoyed the restaurant in house. The food was good and the people working there are super friendly and fun

Looks like the hotel has been a bit unmaintained over the years and needs some upgrades inside and out. Mostly cosmetic and trim work. Key card system is in need of improvement also. I would stay there again though because of location and price.

We live close. We just wanted to have a night out and let our boy swim. Pool was closed. It smelled funny and the beds ARE TERRIBLE! And to top if off they still owe me $97 dont go here!!!!

Good property, could use an elevator for second floor access for the elderly

The side door into hotel did not work so you had to continually walk around to the front of the hotel to get in. I wasn't the cleanest. The nicest people that I dealt with were housekeeping. The front desk people didn't seem to want to be there and weren't very friendly. There are no coffee makers in the room. We were there for a week and the breakfast was always the same thing with very little variation.

Room hadn’t been vacuumed and there were dried, sticky soft drink stains on my nightstand. The sheets were clean but we had to check because the covers were dirty. (Stained and with particles all over.). Overall, the entire property looks 25 years out of date.

The room was very clean and the staff was pleasant and accomodating. We were in town for a funeral and it was nice to have a clean place to lay our head.

We walked into a dirty bathtub and dirty toilet - the room was 77 degrees and felt like a sauna and the thermostat was not working. Kids were playing hockey in the hallway until 11pm waking up the baby - the hall lights shone in through the door windows all night long making it look like broad daylight. No sleep was had by anyone. The staff was friendly tho and tried to help with a fan - but the fan didn’t work. :(

Would have been a 1 star but, I feel the continental breakfast was good. Our weekend was incredibly noisy due to hockey conferences in the area and kids running around until late in the evening. Our room looked like it was tidied and not really cleaned. There was quite a bit of dog hair present and in the shower, you could see footprints.

Dirty and damaged bathroom. Discolored and worn toilet seat. Discolored caulk around tub, crumbling trim around bathroom door, holes in walls from moving furniture and left unfilled. Super outdated. The sheets were clean however… Not my favorite stay.

Found previous ppl hair in the tub/ shower. Room stinks and gross. Ac filter needed to change. Make sure you buy rubber sandals when showering. Didn't get a to-go breakfast bc night shift staff said breakfast starts at 6a. I have to be at work by 6a. They do have a display of apple/ oranges. Don't eat the fruits that is displayed. The smell of grossness is embedded in the fruit. But if certain ppl can't smell.. maybe the fruit will taste fine. Overall.. never again..

Overpriced for condition of the room. Mold in bathroom shower, walls patched but not painted. Carpet stained, tile floor dirty. Outdated and run down property.

Our thermostat did not work, so our room was very cold. No offer for assistance to rectify the problem. Tub had black mold around the caulk and was dirty with hair and an old wash cloth in it. The sidewalk to the parking lot was not cleared or salted, was extremely slippery.

Our room was dirty smelled of marijuana and bed was full of hair bathroom was gross curtain were heavily stained room was so gross not sure how they can get $140 a night it’s worth $25 a night very disappointing we had no where else to stay air conditioning was running non stop and horrible dampness with awlful smell didn’t feel safe the room next to us had a industrial size fan blowing air at a loud speed . Will not stay here again or tell at one else . Very loud also like a Mexican fiesta going on in the hall . They definitely need to do some updating to this facility

The bathroom needed some work. The beds were comfy and we had shampoo, etc. No coffee machine. In all fairness it was recently had new owners who seemed to be learning the ropes Everyone was pleasant. Needs lots of repairs.

The room was dusty and outdated. Our TV didn't work and the front desk didn't offer any other option but to wait until the morning for the maintenance person to come on board. The sheets and towels had stains on them and the washcloths looked like they were someones rags. The front desk people were not very friendly but every else that worked there that we talked to was very polite and nice.

The walls are paper thin! The person in the room next to us snored the ENTIRE night so I never slept. I heard every person who walked on the floor above me and every person who coughed or talked outside my room. However, the lady at the front desk was the nicest person I have ever come in contact with!! Breakfast was pretty good and I love that they had a laundry room!

Bed springs were noisy/squeaky. Shower curtain rod about to fall. Heat/air conditioner unit extremely loud. Ear plugs required. Inside door handle fell off. Needs some type of alarm clock and another chair besides the desk chair. Staff very friendly. Room was clean and freshly painted.

There was strong body oder coming from the person at the front desk. Not acceptable. Can here other guests in there room two rooms away. Could use a coffee maker in the room. Thin walls or too much space under the door. Coffee for breakfast was not very hot. For the price, not a good experience.

TV didn’t work in the room, but it was late so I didn’t bother mentioning it to the desk. The place was clean, but showing it’s age a little bit. Certainly would stay again, though

Overall it's an okay hotel. The room was clean but noisy, both the HVAC unit and the outside traffic were an issue while trying to get a good night's sleep. There are no coffee pots in the room. The one morning I did have breakfast the food was cold.

Firstly they took forever to check us in and then put us in a room that was nothing like what I reserved online a week prior. I reserved a king bed and they put us in a room with two twin beds. Ridiculous. The air conditioning unit was so loud and barely kept things cool so we all struggled to sleep. Overall the hallways were dirty and the staff was rude.

The 4 stars for staff and service are because it took 3 rooms before we got a room to work. The 1st one had women in it and the system didn't show it. The door for the 3nd room didn't work. So my 87 year old aunt with asthma had to climb stairs to the 2nd floor. The 4 stars for property conditions is became the hotel is beautiful even though they are in the middle of a remodel.

The young lady at the desk appeared uninterested in the customers. Needs to find another job.

Absolutely love this hotel! They made sure to check if I needed anything everyday, rooms were very neat and clean, great food and bar, and the staff Is incredible!!! If I could stay longer I would, but I will definitely be booking with this hotel for my next trip up here!

Upon arrival to property, there was no lighting in the parking area. When I went inside, there is no one to be seen after about a 10 minute wait someone appeared from behind closed doors. Upon entering the front doors. I noticed a smell, the smell of mustiness and stale odor. I told the person behind the counter that I had made a reservation with Expedia. She says "I don\'t know why that went through because we are not taking reservations through Expedia." She then proceeded to tell me that she did not have the king room that I had reserved. She said the building and hotel was under renovation and that they had limited rooms available. She showed me a room with two queen beds, unlike the one room that I had reserved. The room had broken, trim, work, unmatched, bedding in a nonworking fridge and broken furniture. It was in complete shambles on top of that. It smelled horrible! No one in the right mind would stay there feeling safe and comfortable. I told the front desk lady that I absolutely could not stay here. She told me that I would have to cancel my reservation through Expedia and hopefully get refunded. Of course, I have not heard back from Expedia with my poor experience for a full refund. I am highly disappointed in not only the days in in Hutchinson, Minnesota, but also in Expedia, in their lack of response to this review, and my inquiry of such poor business relations. I am reluctant to go through Expedia ever again. They should be on top of properties like this.

I had no hot water in my room and my worker was giving a room that was already occupied. They ended up having to move me the next evening. So I pack all my stuff up after working a 12 hour. Wasn’t thrilled about it. We won’t stay there again!

Stay was very good - the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our issue was the technology used from hotels.com to pay and transfer our purchase to the hotel - apparently this is a common issue with the one-time credit card number you use and it does not always work. We had to stand at the desk for over 45 mjj in bites before the hotel and hotels.com could make it work

Poor service. I have stayed here multiple time, lacks service and accommodations.

Nice area. Walking path right behind the hotel. They are working on upgrading the hotel. Management was friendly. We would stay here again.

Cross country bike trip. Site is just off the Luce Line Trail. They are undergoing extensive renovations. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location is very convenient for getting in and out, right along Hwy 7.

The staff didn’t care that there was no decaf coffee available for people such as myself who cannot drink caffeinated coffee. For the room cost it’s the least they can offer.

We had a great stay staff was very helpful, and friendly… although something’s could still use an update which looks to be in progress… The one thing I was disappointed with is the Restaurant on site was not open for breakfast as there is nothing on that end of town other than Burger King… would be a nice option to even have a room service option.. on weekends??just a suggestion ..
