Gran Hotel Sardinero

Schnelles Check-in, wir hatten einen Parkplatz dazu bestellt, mittels Autoaufzug kamen wir in ein Untergeschoß des Hotels- völlig unkompliziert ( 17€/Tag). Unser Zimmer war schön und sauber. Wir hatten sogar eine große Terrasse. Das Hotel war sehr gepflegt. Man muß nur eine Straße überqueren, um einen Spaziergang am schönen Strand von Sardinero zu machen. Es gibt schöne Cafes und Restaurants nahe dem Hotel. Sogar ein Casino ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt. 25 Gehminuten vom Hotel befindet sich das Palacio de Magdalena. Freundliche Bedienung in der Hotelcafeteria mit günstigen Preise für Getränke. Das Abendessen haben wir im Hotelrestaurant eingenommen, sehr gutes Essen zu einem fairen Preis ( 3 Gänge Menü inklusive eine Flasche Wein). Falls man ohne eigenes Auto anreist- kein Problem : Taxistand ist direkt vor dem Hotel. Meine Frau und ich können das Hotel sehr empfehlen. Wir waren außerhalb der Saison, Tolle Lage - Strandnähe, ideal als Ausgangspunkt z.B Stadtausflug nach Bilbao( 1 Stunde entfernt), und andere Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe, Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

A wonderful hotel overlooking the beach. Lovely room with a side view of the sea. In a fabulous location. Staff were friendly and our room was spacious and immaculate. In walking distance of the beach, bars and restaurants. It is nice having a cafe attached to the hotel with outside seating where you can purchase drinks and snacks throughout the day. Taxi rank right outside to take you easily to the ferry side of Santander as it was a bit of a walk. Couldn’t fault the hotel and would stay again and recommend.

Great view of the ocean. Very walkable area. Elegant old hotel, modernized, yet charming. Cafe available, as well as restaurant, for those who like to eat before 8:30pm.

We have stayed here many times. It is so convenient for the beach and restaurants and only a 6 euro taxi drive into Santander. Everyone is really friendly and the hotel restaurant and cafe bar are great. The resort is really Spanish which we love.

Hotel was OK. It has a good location right by the beach. Restaurant closed very early around 20:30 which seemed a bit strange but so did some of the restaurants nearby. It may have been related to the bank holiday the following day. Car park is accessed by a car lift.

Séjour de deux nuits, chambre avec vue sur la mer confortable et propre. Juste un détails regrettable fissure aparente au faux plafond pas de bouteille d eau dans la chambre petit détails qui est un plus pour un bon hôtel. Restauration de qualité, service également.

We had a lovely 2 days in Hotel Sardinero, we were given a sea view room which was spacious and very clean and comfy. Reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and we had a very pleasant stay

Very nice hotel, modern, clean and great location. Probably one of the only hotels in Santander which is is modernised. The price and 4* rating are appropriately aligned. The only criticism I have about my stay is that the pillows in the room are absolutely awful, thin, poor quality and not comfortable. Breakfast buffet is nice with a large selection.

Muy buen hotel, aunque ya se notan ciertos detalles de desgaste en cortinas muros y muebles. Se veían ciertos chorreados en las puertas del guardarropa.

This was my second time staying at this place, the staff has always been super nice and attentive. Rooms are comfortable, although it would be great to have a full size mirror in there. And just a tad more space in the room so you can open the suitcase and still be able to walk around the bed. There were just a few things i wasnt so happy with at breakfast buffet, there were some chiped plates, as well as not so clean glasses, there were some day old pastries displayed and saw a couple of bugs walking around the cabinet (not the food) where the food is displayed.

Service on Reception and Bar was good. Friendly staff. Dirty room and breakfast was not like a four star hotel. Excellent location.

Hotel completamente riformato, camere moderne e ampie. Posizione strategica per godere delle spiagge e delle lunghe passeggiate.

There is something very meager about only allotting a grand total of two very thin pillows for an entire king bed. Not even a blanket in the closet. We had a suite and breakfast, and they were both average. I'm not sure if it's a regional stinginess or what. But the service was a bit lacking. If you don't get a suite, you are out of luck here. No cups, coffee maker, not much of anything. The standard rooms are not generous at all. On the bright side, wonderful location, free towells for the beach, a restaurant with decent hours. The restaurant seemed pretty good.

Amazing location,best shower , great bed.? Could be a 5 star! Highly recommend, especially the junior suite, beautiful view.

We stayed at Gran Hotel Sardinero on the last night of a 3.5 week driving tour of France and Spain, before catching the ferry back to Portsmouth, UK. The hotel was tired, the most poorly equipped of all the hotels over 25 nights and it cost the most. At over £300 for one night, I did expect tea and coffee facilities and parking, instead the parking was another 17€ for one night and there were no tea or coffee facilities, not even a kettle. We were expecting and paid for a family room, which turned out to be a basic room with two kingsize beds, it was the only hotel over 25 nights where we didn’t have separate bedrooms for the children. There was no breakfast included and when we went down to have dinner, the restaurant apparently only opens at 20:30, which is too late for children to eat. So we found a restaurant down the road to have dinner, where the food was exceptional! It was all round a disappointment, which all began when we wanted to take our bags up to the room, one of the lifts was broken for several hours, the toilet brush was broken and the mini bar was empty, with exception to a bottle of water. It almost felt like a posh Faulty Towers, my advice is to steer clear and stay at the Hotel Catalonia in Bilbao, where for the same price, it will absolutely exceeded all your expectations, as it did ours. It’s where we’ll be staying next time. The only positives were the balconies were lovely, the beds were very comfortable and reception staff polite.

El hotel es muy cómodo y está en la mejor zona de Santander, justo delante de la playa del Sardinero. El proceso de recepción es muy rápido y la habitación es cómoda para una pareja con 2 hijos.

An excellent stopover on our way to take the Santander - Plymouth ferry. A great location on an area with good restaurants. The hotel staff were welcoming and the room was comfortable.

No tuvieron disposición de ayudarme a mover mi reservación, no quería cancelarla solo cambiar de fecha y no hicieron nada para ayudarme. Estoy muy decepcionada de su servicio al cliente.

Decepcionante. No habia Bell Boy, no habia cafetera en habitación. Servicio muy muy muy por debajo de otros hoteles de menor peecio. No lo recomiendo.

Hotel was much more elegant than expected. Breakfast was adequate, but coffee service could have been better. One coffee maker was broken. Had to stand in line for coffee.
