Well located small hotel within a short distance,by taxi, from the airport. It's located in a quiet residential area with easy access to a massive beach. The sea is shallow with sandbars so it's excellent for small children & anyone wanting a quiet swim. There are loads of volleyball nets, wind surf schools & frequent chiringuitos (bars on the sand). There are bus connections to the train station to reach Barcelona & Sitges quickly. The hotel has a lovely little pool & some rooms with balconies with good views of green hills - delightful for peaceful sun-downers. Close by there is a street with lots of bars & restaurants & access to the main beach. There are good bakeries & an ice cream parlour. Hotel 153 is good value for a short break.

The property is in such poor shape. It’s as if they were given a shell of a building and paid someone no money to use the cheapest supplies and turn it into a hotel. The walls are scratched, marked, and have patched holes everywhere. EVERY tile in the bathroom is cracked, broken, and not installed correct. There were multiple screws sticking up out of the floor where I believe a door stop will one day go. My room was a two person room that they added a cot to to make it a “deluxe 3-person”. The pool area was nice and the lobby was nice looking, although the shoddy craftsmanship was seen everywhere including the uneven floors that I watched multiple people trip on. Beware, parking is actually $15 and is charged per DAY and not for each night of your stay vs $10 stated. And the parking is actually 3 blocks away at another hotel. Last, the people working there were amazing, kind, and helpful people and I can only say positive things about every person who works there.

Very accommodating…We arrived early due to flight, they locked our luggage away and allowed us to use the pool. The breakfast was very good. Very clean. Only annoying thing was the glass recycling on the street…very loud at the pool but not at night. Location a few blocks from amazing beach. Would definitely recommend.

Great spot by the beach and good restaurants near by. Stayed only for the night. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Even carrying my luggage up the stairs of the entrance. Love the terrace.

I chose the hotel because of the proximity to the airport. The service was very, very good, the room was dull, only spanish tv-channels and a road to look at, the breakfast was okay and not more and the pool is a nice feature. But 293 euros for two nights i May outside the main season was too high a price.

The property is really nice on the outside and common areas but the rooms are a different story. Unfinished drywall everywhere, the bathroom is extremely dated and bathtub was rusted. Parking was about two blocks away not onsite, they have another property where the parking is.

The Hotel is conveniently positioned in easy walking distance to the beach. It is surrounded by numerous restaurants and easy walk to mini supermarkets etc. The pool is small but well looked after with adequate sunbeds etc. My only minor criticism would be on the cooked element of breakfast but the other elements made up for that.

The hotel looked very nice from the outside, the satff spoke english and assisted me. The hotel was very close to the beach, around a 6 minute walk. However, they had dust all over the shelves where they wanted us to store our clothes. They also didn't have clean sheets. Its a good thing I bought my own pillowcase.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my 11 year old son , it was a good experience good and safe location, coffee shops and restaurants on walking distance, bed was really comfortable, place was clean , staff was nice and helpful.

We needed a one night stay over before catching a flight from BCN… we wish we would have stayed longer! Pool and restaurant in the hotel, as well as lots of choices of restaurants off site. A great beach, and live band night clubs a block away. Beds were comfy and whole hotel was very clean… and what a great price! Have already recommended this hotel to friends coming by in a couple of weeks.

The walls are super thin so we didn’t sleep well as you could hear everything. When I complained they said all rooms would be the same so couldn’t move us. The only luck we had was that after first night our neighbours checked out and no-one was put in the room while we were there but if hotel is full this would’ve been an even bigger issue

We arrived late after a delayed flight, which was nice for late check in and were put in the first room next to the service counter. We could hear everything but didn't mind since it was a short stay. Very small room, with a full shade and aluminum blinds. It was dark. The room was beat up from use and needed a fresh coat of paint. All of that would be find, if there was decent hospitality. I had ordered breakfast when I booked through Expedia. The breakfast staff and barista were awful, nothing like the last room we booked in Barcelona. He stood and watched anything I ate and glared at me the whole time. The food was grainy with each egg dish and my daughters yogurt had to be thrown out. He absolutely had a fit when I tried to pour my leftover water into my water bottle. Came across the room to yell at me in Spanish. To top it all off, I asked the front desk if I could have another coffee while I waited for my Uber. The nice guy behind the front desk said yes, so I proceeded. Then the barista yelled again and I told him I was allowed. Then they would not let us leave without paying 2.80 euros for the coffee. So NO FREE Coffee in the room or drip, even if you pay for breakfast. As soon as you get up, they charge you again. Horrible Staff and Service. Sad to leave our amazing 2 week trip with this experience. Run and do not book.

I liked the pool area. The front lobby provided many areas where you can sit. Our room was spacious and we had a very nice balcony. Overall we really liked the hotel. I wish we could have stayed there longer.

The staff was awesome. Very, helpful, friendly and courteous. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable. The rest seemed not right. It felt like a house bought by investors: upgrades made to make it look good, but in reality, stuff was just camoflaged by the good looks. For evample, the bidet was not properly sealed to floor. I tried ot use it, and nearly knocked it over. The water pressure to the bidet was nearly 0. The room was also very dusty. So dusty that I could wipe my fingers across the night stand, and end up with a lot of dirt on my finger. The area is OK. It looks close to the airport, but not a lot of public transportation available.

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, the room rates are comparatively low, the rooms are reasonably large, the beds are comfortable, the heating/air conditioning is efficient and quiet, they have roll-down metal security screens that provide total darkness,the hotel is located close to the sea, in an area comparable to a Catalan version of a California beach town,and the rooms have terraces to relax and smoke, if you want. On the other hand, sometimes flights into the Barcelona Airport are routed close to the hotel. On my first night, numerous planes flew by the hotel at low altitude causing extremely loud noise. This was extremely upsetting, as I had not slept in 24 hours. This re-occurred on the afternoon that I checked out. There was also a lower-decibel, but annoying motor on the property that went on and off 24/7. The hotel is not well sound-proofed, and I could hear noise from other rooms and the lobby. Other negatives: The bathtubs are very high and difficult and dangerous to get in and out of, there is nothing to hold on to in the shower/tub, the electrical sockets do not fit American plugs, all of the TV stations are in Catalan or Spanish, and they do not provide coffee or tea for the coffee pot. A taxi to the main part of Barcelona is about $50 each way.

The property is really nice on the outside and common areas but the rooms are a different story. Unfinished drywall everywhere, the bathroom is extremely dated and bathtub was rusted. Parking was about two blocks away not onsite, they have another property where the parking is.

We arrived late after a delayed flight, which was nice for late check in and were put in the first room next to the service counter. We could hear everything but didn't mind since it was a short stay. Very small room, with a full shade and aluminum blinds. It was dark. The room was beat up from use and needed a fresh coat of paint. All of that would be find, if there was decent hospitality. I had ordered breakfast when I booked through Expedia. The breakfast staff and barista were awful, nothing like the last room we booked in Barcelona. He stood and watched anything I ate and glared at me the whole time. The food was grainy with each egg dish and my daughters yogurt had to be thrown out. He absolutely had a fit when I tried to pour my leftover water into my water bottle. Came across the room to yell at me in Spanish. To top it all off, I asked the front desk if I could have another coffee while I waited for my Uber. The nice guy behind the front desk said yes, so I proceeded. Then the barista yelled again and I told him I was allowed. Then they would not let us leave without paying 2.80 euros for the coffee. So NO FREE Coffee in the room or drip, even if you pay for breakfast. As soon as you get up, they charge you again. Horrible Staff and Service. Sad to leave our amazing 2 week trip with this experience. Run and do not book.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel 153 and would definitely return. Positives: Hotel is kept clean, open 24/7. Swimming pool, black out blinds and balcony. Close to beach and nearby resturants and bars. 15 mins walk from train station.. easy to get into central barcelona (about 40mins by train). Ideal out of city quiet but with enough going on area for wanting beach days and barcelona city days. Can see how people may say staff are miserable.. i refused to acknowledge that and greated them all in spanish and made convo and they started speaking more and more each time lol. Negatives: Hotel was not responding to questions sent via expedia and email before stay. We stayed on floor 1 and the walls are very thin can hear a lot of noise at all times (this however doesnt phase me as will sleep through anything) but imagine if your a light sleeper it would be a lot and quite disturbing. Walls could do with being painted (however room was clean).

Well located small hotel within a short distance,by taxi, from the airport. It's located in a quiet residential area with easy access to a massive beach. The sea is shallow with sandbars so it's excellent for small children & anyone wanting a quiet swim. There are loads of volleyball nets, wind surf schools & frequent chiringuitos (bars on the sand). There are bus connections to the train station to reach Barcelona & Sitges quickly. The hotel has a lovely little pool & some rooms with balconies with good views of green hills - delightful for peaceful sun-downers. Close by there is a street with lots of bars & restaurants & access to the main beach. There are good bakeries & an ice cream parlour. Hotel 153 is good value for a short break.

On a été bien accueillis, nous sommes arrivés très tard et cela n'a pas posé de problème . La chambre était spacieuse et conforme aux photos. A noter qu'il n'y a pas de stores qui cachent la lumière dans la chambre et qu'elles ne sont pas très bien insonorisés. Cependant, le rapport qualité prix est plutôt bon et le petit déjeuner était très varié et copieux.

I like this place. Looks good enough. The balcony was great. Cozy. Breakfast was extremely bland though (imagine the Spanish Tortilla, which is already bland, mixed with cardboard, and you get the flavour). Not pretentious, yet charming looking place.

Very accommodating…We arrived early due to flight, they locked our luggage away and allowed us to use the pool. The breakfast was very good. Very clean. Only annoying thing was the glass recycling on the street…very loud at the pool but not at night. Location a few blocks from amazing beach. Would definitely recommend.

Came hear worries after reading lots of negative reviews. In our room (215) we had no problem with noise, but did notice it was a little dusty on the floor. The bed and pillows were super comfy and the bathroom was good. Breakfast wasn't amazing but did the job and had a good selection and nice fruits. Staff were good at there job although maybe not the happiest seemingly. In my opinion this was a high 3 star hotel. Loads of good restaurants and beach a short walk away. And the town is a short bus ride.

The Hotel is conveniently positioned in easy walking distance to the beach. It is surrounded by numerous restaurants and easy walk to mini supermarkets etc. The pool is small but well looked after with adequate sunbeds etc. My only minor criticism would be on the cooked element of breakfast but the other elements made up for that.

No instructions or information offered at check in regarding facilities, breakfast etc. Noise insulation was terrible as you could hear everything from close by rooms. TV went on on its own (most likely controlled from another room) in the middle of the night.
