The hotel is located in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, so it is very convenient and within walking distance of many major attractions. However, the area also has a reputation for pickpocketing and theft. Multiple taxi drivers warned us to be careful, so we stayed highly alert and mostly used Bolt/Uber to get around. Fortunately, we did not experience any theft or safety issues during our stay. The rooms themselves were a big plus: spacious, clean, modern, and minimalist. That said, the minimalist concept felt a little excessive at times—for example, there was not even a mini fridge in the room. Our biggest disappointment was the charge for adding a third guest. We completely understood paying the additional city/tourist tax. However, we were charged an extra €88 per night for the third person, despite staying in exactly the same room with the same existing bed and receiving no meaningful additional amenities—not even an extra pair of slippers or towels. We could understand a modest surcharge for additional water, electricity, housekeeping, or breakfast if applicable, but this amount felt very difficult to justify. In total, we paid €250 extra for one additional guest over two nights, which we found excessive and disproportionate to what was actually provided.

Os funcionários são muito simpáticos. O chuveiro é o melhor que já vi. Quarto tem ótimo espaço e o meu tinha vista para as plantas que era bem legal. Localização 10/10. Eu definitivamente me hospedaria lá novamente. Um abraço especial ao funcionário Carlos que fica a noite, uma grande pessoa. Também a garota que trabalha durante o dia, muito atenciosa.
Os funcionários são muito simpáticos. O chuveiro é o melhor que já vi. Quarto tem ótimo espaço e o meu tinha vista para as plantas que era bem legal. Localização 10/10. Eu definitivamente me hospedaria lá novamente. Um abraço especial ao funcionário Carlos que fica a noite, uma grande pessoa. Também a garota que trabalha durante o dia, muito atenciosa.

Great hotel in the heart of Barcelona. Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were large clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

The staff were kind, the room lovely, but the decor is starting to appear a little tired and dark. I don’t like the payment system that has been introduced to the “minibar” lounge downstairs which in years past was included and a wonderful way to meet other guests. It is expensive for what you get nowadays, and isn’t the unique and different experience that it was. We won’t be returning, which is sad for me; I was a real regular at one point.

It is a nice property, and to be fair, I arrived early, and I was able to check in early, which was great after 3 flights. I originally booked my stay for 3 nights, but had to change my plans due to volunteer work I was doing in Africa starting earlier than I originally thought. They refused to work with me and change my arrangement, leaving me on the hook for 3 nights when I only stayed 1. We all know that there is always something that a hotel can do to help, but they wouldn't budge, and it was an expensive one-night stay. I pre-arranged a transfer to and from the airport through the link that they provided me, which I paid for upfront. They told me that there was no transfer arranged, even though I paid for it and had the email confirmation and receipt, so they called me a taxi. While I was on the way to the airport, the driver called me because he was waiting for me, so I paid twice for the transfer. They refused to refund me even though it was their mistake and I used their link for the booking. Hotels are set up to help, and this one did not. The man at the front desk was the one I dealt with for both issues, and he was short with me, telling me to ask the driver for a refund instead of the hotel. Due to their lack of hospitality and willingness to be flexible, I would not recommend them for international travel, because things happen and it is important to work with people - they will not do that. On the bright side, it had nice showers, and it is a good location.
