The hotel was very close to Rush Hospital - within walking distance which was great for us since we had a family member at the hospital. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was good. Staff members were friendly. I would recommend this hotel. The only bleep on this review is the parking situation with the hotel, they have limited parking and if you check in later in the day - there isn't any available for the room that you have reserved.

Loved this property, the only thing is the parking lot, we had to walk to the parking garage, everything else was AWESOME! Definitely will stay again and recommend this hotel

If the parking lot at the hotel is full you may have to use the parking garage. It’s a seven minute walk. Not a huge deal, but be prepared if it’s cold outside.

Didn't like that the bar was only open until 10pm and then you can't even buy beer past 11pm from the market. This was on a Thursday night too. Lady at desk was a little rude when i went to grab a beer. Maybe a sign should be posted.

Super convenient if you are going to the United Center, within a few blocks of walking distance or a 5 minute Uber/Lyft ride. Parking was a bit of a challenge especially on the weekends as there is only one lot in the back of the hotel. Can be noisy at times as it is right off of the Interstate. Rooms are very secure as you have to have key card access to the elevators going up. Overall, 4/5 stars.

The only complaint that we had was that the parking lot was so tight. The people that parked on either side of our vehicle were so close that we had to climb through the back to get to the drivers seat. I don’t know how they got out of their vehicles.

The room in general was not very clean. The vanity top had spots on it and the inside of the refrigerator also had food particles, shredded cheese, in it.

Upon checking in for my two night stay I found long women's hair, or what I am assuming was from a woman, on my shower walls. I let the front desk know but seemed to be too late to get the entire room clean. They did a "refresh" though which they said someone may get to the hair but when I returned it was waiting for me.

The room was very nice but not the cleanest. All of the glasses were stained and gross and behind one of the beds was trash and dusty. Other than that everything else seemed cleaned and comfortable. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very nice :) 7.5/10 would definitely recommend to a friend.

The property is quite nice and I like to see creative use of a property that was once something else. That said, the high ceilings combined with the flooring and the VERY heavy doors on the rooms leads to sound carrying up and down the hall very easily and loudly. You can hear people in and out of their rooms at all times, and though I was a fair distance from the ice machine, it sounded as though it was right outside my room. I wasn’t overly impressed with the in-room coffee situation either. My one coffee cup was dirty, and there was one regular coffee and three decaf selections. The sugar and creamer packages were old (the creamer came out in clumps) and one had already been opened.

Great location for United Center and very clean/modern. However, the walls are paper thin. We couldn't sleep due to music and even talking in the room next to us. I let the front desk know and they just said, "they had heard that before".

Great location for seeing a show at United Center. Walk was easy and didn’t feel uneasy late at night. Breakfast was nice, very clean, typical options like eggs, pancakes, sausage etc. piping hot coffee! Rooms spacious can tell it was a hospital from the layout. Only major complaint was that our TV was not working great but that could have been weather related.

This hotel is nice and spacious, but DO NOT book a room if you intend to get any sleep. I booked a room at the Hyatt for a big event and did not get any sleep at all due to noisy neighbors and loud hallways and doors. Although I do like layout of the hotel rooms and the excellent breakfast, this hotel is not worth it if you need sleep. Very upset by the noise, was not able to sleep at all here.

The rooms are extremely spacious but they look and smell like a hospital. The energy in the room is borderline depressing because the lighting is insanely dim. They don’t have sufficient overhead lighting, just tiny lamps here and there. The hallway had a nasty smell and the floors looked rough. The parking is $30 but even if you pay, there is no guarantee that you will actually be able to use the parking lot because they sell more parking passes than actual spaces available. It is very possible that you could buy a pass and end up parking on the side of the street. All in all, I would never stay here again.

Hotel was very clean, and the staff was great, but not very helpful. The AC in our room was insufficient, and when we realized at 11:00pm, they offered to send maintenance down the next morning. Our only night, we slept in 78 degrees, sweating. I was offered free water or a credit in the snack/drink area.

We were staying at this hotel to be part of a conference and the hotel was oversold so they sent us downtown to a partner hotel. I don’t understand how they can do that!

The gentleman that checked us in was by far and away the best service I have ever received at a hotel. The desk staff was always smiling, offering to help, and friendly. The entire hotel was incredibly clean, quiet, and welcoming. On the way out the room attendants preparing to clean also were very polite and happy with a good morning as we left.

First room I was assigned was occupied. I walked in on a gentleman who was not expecting this. Front desk staff reacted to this by assigning me a different room. No apologies, however. They did offer me a free drink and snack. I said that an apology should go out to the person whose room I walked into.

They gave us a huge discount because we had so many problems, so I did appreciate that. Problems: didn't have room I paid for (booked 2 queen beds 2 months ago, but they "sold out"), didn't have any parking available (even though the lot was maybe half full), bathroom smelled like weed, found a sock and unused tampon in the room from previous guest, had no bedding for sofa bed and the employees refused to bring it to us (went down to get it at 11pm to see 3 employees chatting and laughing at the desk), only had 2 bath towels for 3 guests (had to go get them, same as above), and the woman who promised me the discount did not put it on my bill or tell her supervisot about it (had to deal with it during check out), ran out of coffee 30 mins before breakfast ended

I have stayed at this Hotel many times in the past and two employees, who I consider more of Caregivers for all they have done for me and my dear Father, have been PHENOMENAL and FANTASTIC! They are Moriah and Mrs. Esther Gutieŕres. They ALWAYS go above and beyond. Their customer service is top notch and they always greet you with a smile and a wave. I always look forward to seeing them, both. They are the highlight of my various stays at Hyatt IMD. Keep up the amazing job! I hope to see you all soon.

Didn’t have hot water for the entire time during my stay. I was told mixed information by each person when it would be back. I was told that my stay would be discounted by 50% by the European desk agent. But it was only by 1 night and my 1 drink charge. There could have been clearer information on the hot water. I was expecting my folio to show the proper adjustment but it didn’t.

The hotel is close to 2 subway stations making it really easy and fast to get downtown. no worries about walking around at night. We walked to the United Center for a hockey game. It is in a safe area...The hotel has a good breakfast, is spacious and clean.

Situated in the medical district, this hotel, which was renovated from a hospital is huge! Although there isn’t much to do, walking distance, the trains were easily accessible. if traveling by car, the downtown area as well as the Fulton market is not far. We met a traveling nurse who told us this once hospital now hotel is haunted and we should expect a knock on our door at night from the spirits. However, none of that happened and we slept peacefully. it is a very beautiful and clean hotel. everyone was friendly and courteous.

It was very close to Rush Hospital which is it's best selling point. Their room prices are competitive. They just need to work on their breakfast. The food is rather repetitive and can get cold quickly. They really need to use hot plates or something to keep the food warmer. The unheated stoneware isn't getting the job done.

The room was nice and very spacious. Our only complaint is that under the couch was not clean. Also, when we went to breakfast, one of the toasters didn't work at all and another only partially worked. Therefore there was always a line.

We stayed there one evening to attend a concert at the United Center. It is a great location for that venue with a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel was pretty nice and clean as well as the room was clean and nice layout. Our room did not have enough toilet paper, ran out of tissues, did not have coffee cups or any bar soap to wash your hands. At breakfast the two pans of eggs ran out for about 30 minutes, there was a broken toaster and trash cans piled over the tops. This place is super close to making it a great stay but the few important comforts were lacking. I would stay again but will be cautious of these things.
