As always, my stay at the MariJean was as close to perfection as one will ever find among hotels. By far superior to those "other places" on 34th Street. Add to that the crystal clear pool, the "fabulous" bars, restaurants and live entertainment nightly. You can't go wrong. The MariJean is my go to St Petersburg gay stay.

We Love an all-inclusive Gay Resort with a pool/bar, downstairs bar, restaurant, and even a speakeasy I can't wait to come back this winter -. Negative - Considering the $ 200-a-night fee, I think the $ 25-a-night parking fee is a rip-off

Pulled into parking lot to check in and was told my car would be towed immediately. I said I just got here so need to check in and bring permit back out. She said your car will be gone. Wow. Really? Hotel manager happened to check in with me via text to confirm my arrival. Thank goodness! I was more than a little upset about the check in and parking process. However he came out with the permit and helped me out with that crazy piece of the stay. The rest of the stay was great. So an A for the hotel and staff. F for stupid parking situation. I would recommend just don’t leave your car alone! LOL.

The staff was exceptional. Bed was very comfortable. Room was always clean. Room was over a noisy bar. Had to go through the bar and find the elevator to get to the lobby on the second floor. Does not have a convenient way to get to the parking lot which is behind the hotel. The shower needs a handrail.

What a fun themed and inclusive hotel! We checked in much later than expected on a busy Saturday night and Eddie was such a doll. Witty and kind, he showed us to our room and shared all important hotel details and upcoming events, which included a pool party for Sunday Funday and a lesbian centric event on Monday called Lick n’ Flick. Grab a drink at COCKtail and enjoy the The Wet Spot aka the pool. Hotel parking is limited but well worth it. Mari Jean doesn’t disappoint, will be back!

This is my second stay at the hotel and it is a very pleasing and nicely appointed property. There is a little bit of a hiccup when checking in so be prepared if you come in after hours just be patient. You will need to check-in with the bar as staff have gone home for the day. I'm sure they will work out the kinks soon as the occupancy picks up and it is financially feasible to have 24 hour staffing available. The rooms are nicely decorated and the comfort of the room is great. As a warning to all....do not park in the hotel parking area while you are in the process of checking in because the local towing company will tow you....Yes it almost happened but security did catch them and they were able to prevent my car from being towed. The towing company is very aggressive and even though my partner told them I was in the process of checking in they were still attempting to hook up to it before security intervened. Despite they a small hiccup we were thoroughly happy and we will return. The cleanliness is impeccable. The ability to have a crafted cocktail and then go to your room and not have to Uber or drive is worth every penny and minor hiccups.

I was not given a parking permit and my car was towed. I am paying for a rental car I didn’t get to drive. Would I stay again probably not as I had to pay a lot of money for something I didn’t get to use because of no permit.

As always my stay went rather flawlessly. check in was practically done before I got to the desk. The crew carried my bags to my room. room was clean, even to the black carpeting, which can be hard to vacuum clean.

I would definitely recommend this place. It was clean. The staff were really nice and the location was perfect. If you drive park on the side streets, so you don’t have to pay for parking.

Great escape for a weekend to party and explore the area. Lots of restaurants and bars on Central Avenue in walking distance and many more 2 miles down the street. Fun themed decorations in the hotel lobby, hallways, and rooms. Bathrooms are tiny and sink in room had no space for toiletries. Window ac had remote but the central air made me freeze!! In the morning my husband shut the vent above the door, but I wish management had told me about the vent when I said it was too cold - they just told me about the remote. Will I be back for a weekend? Yes. A week? No. Fyi, my room faced the parking lot and was on lobby level. I never heard the club or pool from my room, just from the bathroom (who cares). So I slept well once I warmed up under the covers.

This hotel is just for the gay community. The room was hot and the bar stays open until 4ish in the morning so don’t think you will get any sleep before they close because the music is so load all I could do was lay there and feel the beat in my chest and head!!! I’m not saying I wouldn’t recommend this place but it just wasn’t a good experience for my husband and myself.

It was impossible to escape the noise. Our room, positioned directly above a nightclub in the middle of a booming entertainment show, vibrated with the bass of the music below. To make matters worse, the alley beside us was alive with shouting voices, clattering bottles, and the occasional blaring horn. Sleep was out of the question; even conversation required raised voices. The walls seemed paper-thin, offering no relief from the relentless chaos outside. We were move to a quieter room away from the live entertainment venue.

Very cool, unique hotel. I rant colors and atmosphere. It’s a great place to party and the pool area is awesome. They need to do something different with the bed platform. It sticks out beyond the mattress with sharp corners that will eat up your shins.

As usual I was late (after 9pm). Bartender at cocktail got me manager who took care of me, no problem. Room was perfect. It had been a long day. Took a long hot shower and then to bed. The noise that people are complaining about I have found is coming thru the windows. Not up thru the floor. As an old club kid, It wasn't bad enough to disturb my sleep (or anything else I was doing in bed) if I had a complaint. It would have to be a working second floor ice machine, or lack therof.

Tiny rooms, even tinier sinks in the guest rooms. The corners of the bed we had protrude too far out, so we constantly kept hitting them with our toes. We were warned about it by front desk clerk but nonetheless, it's worth mentioning. Other than that - excellent stay. Staff is on top of everything, and very pleasant. Nice pool, and good entertainment downstairs. Good breakfast, and good vibe. Thank you, we would stay again.

My second stay first time was September 15th,and 2nd time was November 1st.Check in was actually fun and exciting,i feel like a loved family member.Mr Drew is a great asset to the businesses along with Mr John,i inter acted with them the most.Also David and Gracie was nice also.When i check out i immediately search my calendar for a return visit thanks to all involved to my customer experience to include downstairs at the pool.

I have never been so happy with a hotel experience as I was staying at the Mari Jean. The staff were incredibly kind and so friendly. Drew was amazing and gave us great advice on places to go. Everyone stopped to chat with us and gave us great food suggestions. Tom was an absolute pleasure to speak with and really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. I have never felt so safe in a space that wasn’t my home. We loved our stay and will only stay at the Mari Jean when in Florida. Thank you to the staff for an amazing time and we can’t wait to come back with more friends!!!

Absolutely loved this hotel experience! There was so much to do right outside your door. With the clubs downstairs, the karaoke bar across the street, the bagel breakfast place on the corner, and everything else that's all in walkable distance. Staff was beyond accommodating and super friendly with every interaction. We had a room above the club, and the music level downstairs was not as bad as I had heard in other reviews. No problems whatsoever. Will definitely be staying here again.

From the very first person to the last, everyone was so polite and friendly. By far one of our better experiences traveling. We like to stay at boutique hotels with one of a kind experiences. And this property gave us just what we wanted. So convenient to all the bars in the area and the bar on site was by far the best of all of them. Big shout out to Nick at cocktails. He was an amazing bartender and set the tone for our whole night out. Thank you!! If your looking for a unique place to stay and an exciting time. This is the place to be. Not to mention that the gayborhood is a blast.

The hotel just opened up a couple of weeks ago as St. Petes premiere LGBTQ resort. We were just looking for a night to stay and go to the beach, oh were we wrong. WE LOVED the Mari Jean Hotel. One can get early check-in (if rooms are available) starting at noon. GM David and his team gave Four Seasons service including a welcome cocktail, details about parking, the wine and cheese social in the lobby and the continental breakfast the next morning (all included) and escort to the room. The decor of the hotel is over the top (for us, we are more minimalists), but it is so much, that it is putting a smile of overindulging your eyes on your face. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The pool (WETspot) is fantastic and features an amazing bar and a DJ playing tunes all day and night long (no pool facing rooms). The crowd was frolicking. The beach is around a 15 minutes drive away. Dinner we had at the onsite Italian restaurant and it was really good, then we went to COCKtail for drinks and dancing. What a great spot Mari Jean is. We will be back.
