Nothing is to like about this place the exception of clean towels. The pool is not open, basketball court is not complete. The room smells of mold. This is more an apartment complex than hotel, and should not be advertised as a hotel for guests. Had I not pre-booked room we would not had stayed the night.

The pool is closed has been since April and yet they list it as it's open on their facility. The toilet went out second night and ac wasn't running properly had to switch rooms the water and hot water didn't work in the second in the shower had to wait over a night to take a shower and it smelt like mold front manager Julie was rude and acted like I was the problem they will not refund even for their poor quality of service and the condition of the hotel I took two videos of the water and manager situation but I can only add photos unfortunately. It says it is fully equipped to cook not at all neither room was

The hotel was not to the standards that were presented online. Upon arrival it was rundown, pool was covered with debris and leaves, the hotel room itself had bedbugs and roaches. The tub looked like it was not properly cleaned. I had booked a studio suite with a sofa bed and initially got a 1 single room until having to go back to the front desk. Upon opening the sofa bed, there was not a new sheet, but yet the old one was balled up and it was covered in food and crumbs. The mattress itself had crumbs as well.

Hotel staff were great, very friendly and helpful. WIFI was a a bit spotty - better off using mobile hot spot. The hotel was undergoing renovations, but that did not impact our stay. Not the ritziest place to stay, but had everything we needed and was in a convenient location.

Property is not what is shown online. No jacuzzi exists. Homeless people wandering around. Questionable people living there. Rooms smell. Rickety wooden stairs outside. No elevators. Hotels close by being torn down. Wouldn't refund all money even though we never stayed due to dirtiness and unsafe feelings.

The website pictures are very outdated. There is no pool, there are people hanging around the parking lot. No safe place to walk dogs. Landscaping not taken care of. Didn’t spend one night there. I need to be refunded money I did give the hotel for false advertisement!

Scene was very dirty! I found a pull in the room i felt was better than the other room. I had to clean the room again and the room was hot even though we had the ac cranked high. The rooms smelled of smoke and Marijuana. There was dead flies, bugs, and a tick. Old trash left in room. Windows were nasty. Couch and chairs stained and dirty. Microwave and oven very dirty. My out of town guests left back early. I left and came back to get my deposit back. I childhoods get refunded or anything because i booked on here. Money wasted!

the customer service was good, especially Tasha who checked us in...not so sure on the housekeeping because it didn't seem like they vacuumed or cleaned anything. We stayed for 4 nights and did make a small mess that needed vacuuming but the mess remained with us the whole stay. We made our own beds and housekeeping didn't remake them. The room was very subpar. The kitchen was stocked with a cutting board, a small serrated knife, one spoon, two forks, 2 butter knives. Some pots. No pans. No other dishes. There was very sad looking coffee maker. The cupboards and drawers were very dingy and dirty. The microwave looked like it could explode while in use. It was very very dirty inside with a chunk missing...how, Idk. The stove was nice...induction stove. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The pillows were a bit lumpy but didn't give us any neck problems. The bathtub drain worked only if you held down the little knob. The knob to turn water on and off was so difficult to pull out. I could've sworn the whole thing was gonna get pulled out from the wall. There was also no hairdryer. I had to go ask for one at the front desk. My biggest complaint is the carpet. This poor carpet was so dirty and nasty. My feet got so dirty from walking on it in just one evening. The next day I went and bought house slippers to wear for the rest of the stay. I did not take them off accept for to shower and to go to bed. I don't know what the other rooms are like but I don't want to know.

The floors were filthy, our feet were black from the dirt. The pull out couch was a very small worn down futon, not even able to sleep on. There were alcohol bottles out sitting and litter on the steps on the way to the room. The 2 rooms we were in had a terrible smell. We checked out the next morning and went elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is a nightmare. The first room reeked of mold. The second flooded overnight—ankle-deep water, soaked clothes, ruined phone, no refund. The staff I encountered were friendly and efficient. The property was likely fantastic when newer but is pretty worn out now. Coffee maker worked fine. Refrigerator and freezer were cold. There was a fireplace but I didn’t even investigate to see if it was functional. The bed was made up nicely and clean. Sufficient consumables we’re on hand -to, soap, shampoo, etc. the room had a unusual aroma that became unnoticeable after awhile. I would actually stay here again due to the convenient location and staff, but I wouldn’t bring my family as they wouldn’t overlook the shortcomings.

Let’s start by saying the only thing good about our rooms were the linens on the bed and the towels were clean, hot hot water, and the layout of the rooms. As for that, don’t take your shoes off. Yuck When you walk in, your greeted with the foulest smell from the room, mixture off stale beer/cigarettes /dope/and mold, this does NOT go away during the stay. This place is run way down, which is a-shame because the facility used to be our favorite place to stay many years past. Not anymore. Stairs were rickety, paneling dry rotted, curtains stained and kitchen appliances were not inviting. Very disappointing hotel. The neighborhood was extremely sketchy and the hotel was bordered by several abandoned properties. The parking lot next door was full of wrecked cars. The property itself was in pretty bad disrepair. The room was nice enough but the carpet was dirty and the furniture was worn and dated. There was a small kitchen in our unit and some of the cabinet doors were sagging. There was one ladle and one knife for utensils in the kitchen. No forks or spoons. A small collection of mismatched plates, bowls and mugs. The beds were comfortable but there were no linens or blankets provided for the pull out sofa. The heat did not work or was capped to prevent you from raising it too high. It was 35* outside during our stay and we got it up to maybe 65* inside. With no spare blankets, we ended up having our kiddos share a bed and one sleep with us to stay warm. The hot water did not last for an entire shower for one person. The room held 6 people. There was a loft with a queen bed but the wall of the loft was very low and the bed was pushed up to the wall. Our 2 year old could easily stand up on the bed and make the wall less than waist high on her. It was so extremely unsafe that we didn't let her sleep upstairs. Nothing in our room looked at all like the pictures in their listing. I will say that the staff was very nice and helpful.

the customer service was good, especially Tasha who checked us in...not so sure on the housekeeping because it didn't seem like they vacuumed or cleaned anything. We stayed for 4 nights and did make a small mess that needed vacuuming but the mess remained with us the whole stay. We made our own beds and housekeeping didn't remake them. The room was very subpar. The kitchen was stocked with a cutting board, a small serrated knife, one spoon, two forks, 2 butter knives. Some pots. No pans. No other dishes. There was very sad looking coffee maker. The cupboards and drawers were very dingy and dirty. The microwave looked like it could explode while in use. It was very very dirty inside with a chunk missing...how, Idk. The stove was nice...induction stove. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The pillows were a bit lumpy but didn't give us any neck problems. The bathtub drain worked only if you held down the little knob. The knob to turn water on and off was so difficult to pull out. I could've sworn the whole thing was gonna get pulled out from the wall. There was also no hairdryer. I had to go ask for one at the front desk. My biggest complaint is the carpet. We booked a suite for our trip was not what was pictured. Had to move from one gross room to another. Owner refuses to refund my money. Won’t even refund to Expedia rep. Rooms are NOTHING like the pictures. I’m out $275 and no one will give it back. Had to move to an acceptable hotel because after moving once to a new room, my daughter’s asthmatic friend could not tolerate the smoke smell in the “better room”. Absolutely horrible and customer service is not there. Called corporate for Wyndham, “they’re looking into it”. I just want a refund. This will not me my only post about this insanity and falsely advertised location. My brother’s best friend is a lawyer who will glad to take the slum lords to court just to keep them from duping other people. They have no idea how much it’s gonna cost them when the health violations come in. Could’ve just refunded my money. Good luck and I hope you clean stuff up so no one gets sick. Hotel staff were great, very friendly and helpful. WIFI was a a bit spotty - better off using mobile hot spot. The hotel was undergoing renovations, but that did not impact our stay. Not the ritziest place to stay, but had everything we needed and was in a convenient location.

The company REALLY needs to remodel their rooms, they are the same as they were twenty years ago, when they were very nice, stained floors, chipped furniture, water leaking from bathroom ceiling,sportscourt dismantled, landscaping unkept, building brand new Candlewood right next door, only undesirables will be staying here now! Won't consider Hawthorn Suites anymore again.

Thought this would be a nice place to stay based upon the pictures, but they were very deceiving. When I first arrived there was someone in the lobby complaining so I should have seen this as a red flag. To check in you have to have everyone in the rooms ID. There were people just hanging around in the parking lot and I did not feel safe. They have a "security guard" that patrols in a beat up car. First thing when getting to the room it smelt so bad it was hard to breathe. The room was extremely dirty the floors had so much built up gunk on them. I then noticed I got charged a significant amount when I had already paid. I went to ask and the woman at the desk was extremely rude. The guy in front of me could not get checked in because his wife did not have her ID and they were 7 hours from home. The woman at the desk and the security guard kept telling him "well that is just how it is" when there was no indication ANYWHERE that everyone in the party over 18 needed their ID. Staying here was an absolute nightmare between the charges, area, safety, and lack of cleanliness. Do not stay here.

Great rooms, staff, very clean. Shout out to the amazing, friendly, hard working, kind gentleman working service during breakfast. My parents stay here every time they visit. It is always clean and the staff are great. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be treated like a true guest.

The pool is closed has been since April and yet they list it as it's open on their facility. The toilet went out second night and ac wasn't running properly had to switch rooms the water and hot water didn't work in the second in the shower had to wait over a night to take a shower and it smelt like mold front manager Julie was rude and acted like I was the problem they will not refund even for their poor quality of service and the condition of the hotel I took two videos of the water and manager situation but I can only add photos unfortunately. I’ve had to live here before from may of 2023 to Aug 2023 and it was wonderful. My kids were having homecoming so I booked a stay here for the weekend since we had such a great experience the first time. We checked in fine but when we got to the room there was this odor. We opened windows and lit candles it helped. The next day we came out of our room to plastic everywhere like we were wrapped in plastic. No one told us anything it was inconvenient especially when we finally got out and came back to them painting the stairs red in the rain. It tracked all in the hotel carpets floors and got on our clothes. I did notify the front office and asked for something to clean it up with. We did our best to clean it up but I’m sure the carpets will need deep cleaned if not stained. I just felt the hotel room could have looked a little better. They could have let us know they were going to do maintenance in the stairs or it could have been done after we checked out, but overall we had a good time staff is always professional and very accommodating. There’s an African American lady with locs who is always a real one. Very professional and always dots her eyes and crosses her t’s.

The staff I encountered were friendly and efficient. The property was likely fantastic when newer but is pretty worn out now. Coffee maker worked fine. Refrigerator and freezer were cold. There was a fireplace but I didn’t even investigate to see if it was functional. The bed was made up nicely and clean. Sufficient consumables we’re on hand -to, soap, shampoo, etc. the room had a unusual aroma that became unnoticeable after awhile. I would actually stay here again due to the convenient location and staff, but I wouldn’t bring my family as they wouldn’t overlook the shortcomings.

Definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Check in was quick and easy, lobby was beautiful, complimentary coffee and infused water was a great touch. We had a king room and the bed was very comfortable and we liked that the heat and air was a wall controlled thermostat. We will definitel book this hotel specifically when in the area.

Good hotel, enjoyed the breakfasts staff was nice. Feel like they need more attention to detail on small things like picking up trash in parking lot and dirty flag, small stuff. They get the big stuff right as far as room cleanliness etc goes.

Great rooms, staff, very clean. Shout out to the amazing, friendly, hard working, kind gentleman working service during breakfast. My parents stay here every time they visit. It is always clean and the staff are great. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be treated like a true guest.

Let’s start by saying the only thing good about our rooms were the linens on the bed and the towels were clean, hot hot water, and the layout of the rooms. As for that, don’t take your shoes off. Yuck When you walk in, your greeted with the foulest smell from the room, mixture off stale beer/cigarettes /dope/and mold, this does NOT go away during the stay. This place is run way down, which is a-shame because the facility used to be our favorite place to stay many years past. Not anymore. Stairs were rickety, paneling dry rotted, curtains stained and kitchen appliances were not inviting. Outside, People drinking and smoking pot sitting out your door starring at you, dogs running loose marking territory with owners far behind. Many sketchy folks walking around randomly that looked like they were out looking for a score. The feeling in general was very unsafe. The check in staff person was as dry as they come, no personality or smile of greeting. Then we had to pay a $100 deposit for each room, that we then had to come back in morning to get back or it wasn’t returned. The food that was offered was limited to a juice box, box of cereal, unripe fruit, or you could make a waffle. Think twice about choosing this unsanitary unsafe dwelling, never again shall we return.

The room was kind of gross. The kitchen floor was sticky from previous guest. Front desk gave me sheets in a garbage bag. Pool and hot tub wasn’t enough to entice my kids to want to stay another day. Waffle iron broken at breakfast. Off centered toilet was hard to use. Creepy security guard actually made it feel less safe. What was there a security guard? I’ve stayed alot of places and travel a decent amount. I just can’t recommend this place. The people were pleasant and nice. So I gave it 3 stars. Maybe too kind. I felt like the pictures were nicer. The number scheme for the rooms and direction to the room were confusing.

Very disappointing hotel. The neighborhood was extremely sketchy and the hotel was bordered by several abandoned properties. The parking lot next door was full of wrecked cars. The property itself was in pretty bad disrepair. The room was nice enough but the carpet was dirty and the furniture was worn and dated. There was a small kitchen in our unit and some of the cabinet doors were sagging. There was one ladle and one knife for utensils in the kitchen. No forks or spoons. A small collection of mismatched plates, bowls and mugs. The beds were comfortable but there were no linens or blankets provided for the pull out sofa. The heat did not work or was capped to prevent you from raising it too high. It was 35* outside during our stay and we got it up to maybe 65* inside. With no spare blankets, we ended up having our kiddos share a bed and one sleep with us to stay warm. The hot water did not last for an entire shower for one person. The room held 6 people. There was a loft with a queen bed but the wall of the loft was very low and the bed was pushed up to the wall. Our 2 year old could easily stand up on the bed and make the wall less than waist high on her. It was so extremely unsafe that we didn't let her sleep upstairs. Nothing in our room looked at all like the pictures in their listing. I will say that the staff was very nice and helpful.

There was nowhere on the website saying there was a $100 deposit. We got in an uber and the uber said around the corner from the property, a shooting happened recently which did not make us feel safe. We went to breakfast the second day and granted we went 15 minutes till breakfast was over but there was bread in the trash that could easily have been made into toast. The 3rd day we go the breakfast early and everything is turned off. There was also no sign that i couldnt bring a blanket and the lasy running breakfast was pretty rude about it.

The room smelled real bad. The couch had cigarette burn holes on the arms. Black marks on wall by the stove. The toilet moved when you sat on it. I tried to get my money back but was denied. Will not stay there ever again.

This was the most disappointing Hotels.com stay we've ever had. The exterior of the building looked a bit run down, but I was sure we'd get a room that looked like the pictures. NOPE. The floors were dirty. The bed was not king size. The kitchen cabinets were all in various stages of broken. There were no cookware or anything to eat with in the kitchen...which I found odd for an extended stay brand. The toilet had tape on it, the shower appears to have broken at some point. All of the countertops had burn marks. All of the ceilings had been patched over in various spots. There was a dirty fireplace. The bedding seemed to have little bits of fabric/lint all over it. This is the first time we were concerned with encountering bed bugs. We didn't bother with breakfast, assuming the state of the breakfast area was akin to our room. The lady checking us in was nice. She asked if we were going to smoke in the room-we were not, but the room smelled very strongly of smoke. The lady checking me out was not very friendly. We will never stay at a Wyndham brand again.

Although we had reserved and prepaid for a room that accommodated six guests, when part of our group checked in on Friday, they were split into two separate rooms. When the remainder of our party arrived on Saturday, they were turned away entirely due to a lack of availability, despite our prepaid reservation. While Hotels.com did process a refund, the situation caused significant inconvenience, as we had to scramble to find alternate accommodations at the last minute. This was extremely disappointing. Additionally, after checking out of the Friday rooms and returning briefly following our event, one member of our party realized he had left a Yeti cup in the room. The front desk attendant provided a key to re-enter the room, but the item was no longer there. When he returned to the desk, staff advised that nothing had been turned in and stated there was nothing further they could do. Unfortunately, it appears the item was taken during cleaning.
