Our stay at the Mauian was very enjoyable. We thought the staff was very accommodating. The room had a nice view and loved the balcony. We enjoyed BBQing and watching the sunset. The only thing that we did not like was that there were some guests that liked to use the pool and BBQ area later into the evening and were very loud. This made it hard for us to enjoy our evenings on the balcony. Parking was tricky at times.

My husband and I loved our stay here for a peaceful weekend getaway. I thought it was an amazing value if you don’t need the frills of a big resort to enjoy your trip (restaurant, spa, 24 hr desk service, TV, etc.) The grounds were so beautiful and all of the staff we encountered were wonderful. Our room had everything by we needed. The kitchen was great and there were outdoor gas grills available for use. Free parking was convenient, close to the room and stress free. Napili bay is right out the door and the area was very walkable with access the walking trail, other beaches and nearby restaurants. Would highly recommend!

We stayed at the Mauian for our visit to Maui. The hotel was great and we were very happy with our stay. The grounds are kept up very well and are very pretty with the landscaping and such. The rooms were nice and clean. They did not have a TV but that was not a big issue. On the plus side, they had a small kitchenette area with fridge and microwave. The hotel was right next to the beach, which was amazing. We were able to walk from our room to the beach in a few seconds. The hotel also provided chairs to use, which was a nice feature. Overall, we would stay here again.

A quiet cozy and peaceful place to spend the days and nights. Meditation perfect I’d say. Beautiful sunset views, nice little pool, very courteous staff and spacious room. Really like their garden and green areas. Very good beach access and related services. The only area of improve is the parking, the parking spots were too tight and there often wasn’t space available if you come in a little late in the evening.

We loved that the property is right on Napili Bay. Super family friendly with a great pool and Bbq area. Beautiful views from our lanai. And the resident cats were super cute and friendly.

Great for anyone who wants to be beach front at one of the most beautiful beaches in Maui, Napili Bay. It's not your big (pricey) resort experience. There is a basic pool, but it was perfect for our little family. Not many other guests at the pool so it was perfect. Convenient beach access. Rooms and property very clean. Security always present. Clean bbq grills to utilize. Our lanai looked out over the pool and had ocean views. Room was pretty standard but very cozy. Bathroom and shower was very roomy and upscaled from the average hotel bathroom and shower. Pictures on Expedia were confusing, I thought I was getting a kitchen that had a stove top and full refrigerator with more room, but we ended up with a mini fridge and microwave in a very small "kitchen" space. Definitely would not consider that a kitchenette at all. That was my only disappointment. Lucky for us we were only staycation-ing for just one night so it didn't have much impact on our experience. Had we been staying for a week and planned on utilizing a kitchen, it definitely would have been much more upsetting. I would stay here again!

Perfectly remodeled ocean view rooms. High quality mattresses and pillows. The grounds looked like the garden of Eden. Steps from one of the best beaches in Maui. Even though we didn’t use the pool it was beautiful with brand new stainless barbecues.when we arrived we were greeted by Donny and he was very helpful warm and friendly. This place is heaven.

I liked the fact that the beach was so close, just a few feet away. It was pleasantly quiet. My only complaint is there seemed to be an unpleasant odor in the room almost like mildew.

The best thing about The Mauian, by far, is its proximity to the beach. It’s a great location to an awesome beach. The rooms are old and rundown. The rooms are not clean. When we were there, they were fixing the pool and it was loud and dusty. The beach is amazing, though.

Rooms are outdated and dirty , specially bathrooms, there are cockroaches and ants in kitchen and sink area, we left our food in the counter for 10 minutes and there are many ants and small roaches on the food. Disappointing. Do Not Full with pictures in Expedia. The only amazing thing is private beach and pool plus the outdoor vibe.

Room and location were amazing. Cleaning was just ok, there could have been a little more detail in the cleaning of the rooms, light switches, mirrors, shower walls. Pictures were dirty with splatters on them.

for 3 days nobody came to check on or our room, change towels and clean it. I had no coffee refuel even though I asked about it. The room has no TV. besides, we liked the location but we would not choose the hotel again.

The grounds are beautiful and the units are cute very old Hawaii “hale” style. Sinks and shower drains emit old mildew smell, so can’t give a higher rating. That being said the staff is great and good value for staying up in Napili.

I was very pleasantly surprised that the room looked just the way I saw it while booking my trip. The room was very nice, clean, and spacious. The property is well maintained. The garden areas are clean and filled with beautiful greenery. The location is quiet and very relaxing.

Beautiful grounds & quiet property. Great to be right on the beach! Comfortable beds and bedding. Nicely updated rooms BUT walls are paper thin and you can hear your wall neighbor yawn in the morning. The wifi is very weak and phone service was next to non-existent inside the room. Also, a TV in the rooms would be nice.

This hotel has paper thin walls and floors. You will hear everything. Constant footsteps, draws closing, talking, music, etc. You will even hear the people next door to you but on your ceiling. You will not sleep. I barely slept each night. Front desk and managers don't really care. That is probably why there are no tvs in the rooms - you would hear everything. Also, housekeeping does not use vacuums - I assume because of the noise (but lots of hairs on the floor when we arrive). They really need to use vacuums. However, the landscaping and beach were great. Landscaping is very pretty. The beach is just a minute walk from hotel rooms. Housekeeping staff and landscapers were very nice. Front desk not so much. I emailed a few times prior to my stay. They didn't answer some of my emails. Don, the night security on the weekdays was great. He was very accommodating and welcoming. We spoke to him each night. He helps take care of the feral cats on property and loved to see that someone was caring for them. I had heard stories about the parking but luckily we found parking each day and night.

The location is the best part of our stay. The bed was very uncomfortable. If you have lower back pain/issues, these mattresses are SO soft - I could only handle 1 night & then moved to the love seat. The pillows were also stiff and odd. I'm sure younger people would feel like they were sleeping in a cloud? We ended up flipping the mattress upside down and sleeping on the box spring (with a foam cushion on top of it). They are getting new mattresses currently, but said that they are getting the exact same ones :-\\ We stayed for 2 weeks, which is awful if you are uncomfortable. I would not stay here again due to the discomfort. The staff were friendly & again, the location is great if you like to snorkel in Napili Bay.

Don't have enough good things to say about the Mauian! My family and I stayed there in July of 2024. The rooms have a 1950s bungalow feel - not "dated", definitely a decor choice. Each room has a small lanai, and robes for the adults. Be aware: there's no TV in the room, but it's Hawaii so if you're sitting in the room, shame on you! Juice and coffee in the morning, drinks and music in the evening. Views to dream of, and plumeria trees right outside your door. Most importantly - less than 50 yards from the stunning beach. The staff was very accommodating of us. We were travelling with a larger group and our plans changed last minute, forcing us to leave the Mauian before our scheduled checkout. They graciously offered to release us from the remainder of our stay, with no argument. If you're looking for a classic Hawaii experience - laid back, beach, snorkeling, SUP, etc. this is the place. We'll be returning on our next trip!

an amazing space with freindly staff. building do have old school thin walls so noisy at times, lots of kids and families. This is expected for an old school Hawaiian hotel. Overall great spot.

Perfectly remodeled ocean view rooms. High quality mattresses and pillows. The grounds looked like the garden of Eden. Steps from one of the best beaches in Maui. Even though we didn’t use the pool it was beautiful with brand new stainless barbecues.when we arrived we were greeted by Donny and he was very helpful warm and friendly. This place is heaven.

The hotel is very cute. We just had a frustrating check in experience. We arrived at 7pm and the office was closed. They have a couple phone numbers listed but they all went to voicemail. I finally found a security guard who was walking the facility. He was able to check us in after 40 min of waiting.

I was already at the air port when I realized this. I contacted the hotel and they confirmed they found my cell phone at the room and would like to ship back to me via USPS. Amazing stay! 5/5 stars. Very clean, had spacious shower, and great beds. Beautiful pool and view of beach. Highly recommend. Check-in hours are a bit annoying, and the process to get to your room after hours could use some streamlining. Minor complaint. Don is a very friendly and helpful guy! Took good care of us.

This hotel has paper thin walls and floors. You will hear everything. Constant footsteps, draws closing, talking, music, etc. You will even hear the people next door to you but on your ceiling. You will not sleep. I barely slept each night. Front desk and managers don't really care. That is probably why there are no tvs in the rooms - you would hear everything. Also, housekeeping does not use vacuums - I assume because of the noise (but lots of hairs on the floor when we arrive). They really need to use vacuums. However, the landscaping and beach were great. Landscaping is very pretty. The beach is just a minute walk from hotel rooms. Housekeeping staff and landscapers were very nice. Front desk not so much. I emailed a few times prior to my stay. They didn't answer some of my emails. Don, the night security on the weekdays was great. He was very accommodating and welcoming. We spoke to him each night. He helps take care of the feral cats on property and loved to see that someone was caring for them. I had heard stories about the parking but luckily we found parking each day and night.

We only stayed one night as we came in a day early for our vacation because I had a big party and flights on Thursday were 350 dollars cheaper than flights on Friday, which is when my timeshare week began. The place was beautiful. The security staff was really helpful. We got there later at night with a big van and security helped us with parking a large van and with our bags. Rooms were pretty spacious and there was a good quiet ambiance to sit and watch the skies. Highly recommend for a longer stay. It’s a short walk to the Gazebo restaurant. A famous mainstay in Hawaii. Just get there early because the line gets long. Would stay at the Mauian again

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mauian. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and you are steps away from one of Maui’s most beautiful beaches! The security guard at night is so helpful and friendly. Our only complaint was the walls are pretty thin. The lady staying on one side of us was so loud and we were woken up by her almost every morning. We loved the grounds, staff, and beach, and would definitely stay here again!

The hotel itself is very cute, gives off an Old School Hawaiian vibe that I love. There’s a little private beach right on site and getting to listen to the waves is very soothing. I don’t know how it is for the entire hotel, but our room didn’t have a tv or iron. The tv wasn’t a big deal, but we were there to get married, so an iron would have been very useful. Front Desk receptionist said we could grab refreshments in the Ohana Room whenever we’d like, but refreshments weren’t always available. The front desk is also not open 24/7, so if you’re checking in/out after hours, it can be a little tricky.

A fantastic location right next to a calm beach. This is the part of the island to be on! The staff was also consistently cleaning and there were no bugs in sight. Saw some cool lizards and cats, and a few sea turtles swam right next to the beach

We spent our last two nights of a month long stay in Maui at the Mauian and we couldn't have been more pleased. This is a family oriented resort with kitchen and full refrigerator freezer. Albert, the head of security, lives on the property and performs with singing and guitar on some evenings. The property is right on the beach and a very short walk from the Seahorse Restaurant at the Napili Kai hotel. We were also able to walk to the nearby Kapalua beach. Highly recommended. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

There was a beautiful, clean, sandy beach about 25 steps from our terrace. (Great sunsets!!) Even the coastal drive from the airport was picturesque . We cooked every day and the kitchen was fully equipped. There was even a blender. They served free coffee from 7:00-12:00.

My husband and I loved our stay here for a peaceful weekend getaway. I thought it was an amazing value if you don’t need the frills of a big resort to enjoy your trip (restaurant, spa, 24 hr desk service, TV, etc.) The grounds were so beautiful and all of the staff we encountered were wonderful. Our room had everything by we needed. The kitchen was great and there were outdoor gas grills available for use. Free parking was convenient, close to the room and stress free. Napili bay is right out the door and the area was very walkable with access the walking trail, other beaches and nearby restaurants. Would highly recommend!

The Mauian is a nice place. Beach area is nice but small. Would fill up with people quickly. Plenty of room to swim. Grounds are nice and clean. There are two gas ovens for grilling outside with lots of seating. Walking distance to a nice restaurants. Would recommend this as a place to stay.

Great boutique hotel right on Napili Beach. The studio rooms are well equipped with updated furnishings and were very clean. The staff were very friendly and the morning snack provided in the ohana room was a great addition.

We enjoyed our second stay for 7 days. Beautiful grounds and nice staff. The bathroom never felt or smelled very clean. I would like to see updated bathrooms or more thorough cleaning in the bathroom, especially toilet and tile floor. Otherwise, very good.
