Napili Kai Beach Resort

To the most part we liked the facilities, and it was a nice location to stay in. Check in was a little unpleasant. The person who helped us seemed a little uninterest and could not give us a good idea when our room would be ready. Also, the gym needs to update and cleaned more. Other than that, we did enjoy our stay there.

Parking was horrible and the food was just alright and overpriced. Booked dinner reservations 7 out of 8 nights at the sea house and cancelled 5 of them. Minimal kids menu options and drinks are not part of the 'kids eat free' program. More food options at the pool snack bar but it closes at 5. Was closer to walk to kapalua bay then to napili bay based on our room location so never actually went to napili bay. We had 1-bedroom oceanfront room and the two twin beds worked perfectly for our kids. Unfortunately, the king bed was not comfortable and likely was quite old based on the divots on each side of the mattress. Read a lot of great reviews prior to booking, but personally, I was underwhelmed. The best part was the lanai and ocean view.

Napili is a beautiful bay away from the noise and crowds of Kanipali. We stayed in Puna Point 2 which was the quietest part of the resort. Our ocean front one bedroom suite was very clean and nicely furnished. Near the main pool there was a SNACK shop open from 7am -5pm. There was also a restaurant open all day.

Loved this place. Almost everything met or exceeded expectations. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, great room with amazing view (#240 oceanfront corner). We paid the extra $250 direct to the hotel to confirm that specific room which was a great option if you want to guarantee a top floor, etc. saw dolphins and turtles right from our balcony. No resort fee and free parking also great. Lots of included activities. Beach chairs are free, no umbrellas so we bought one at Costco in the way which worked out well. Only a few downsides. The landscaping crew weed cutting and leaf blowing right next to the beach and restaurant one morning from 9-11 was a bummer, but I guess they have to do it sometime. A lawnmower and rake might have been better. We walked all the way down to the other end of the beach to get away from it but could still hear it. I come to the beach to relax, so… also, our first dinner and first breakfast at the Sea House restaurant were both disappointing. But other means there were fine. Excellent Bloody Mary and Mai Tais. Loud HVAC noise on our balcony from the building next door, but again, it had to be somewhere. Wish they relocated it to the parking lot side.would stay again. Very relaxing and gorgeous spot.

Overall, our family of 2 adults and 2 preteens very much enjoyed our 5 day stay at Napili Kai. This is a GREAT beach, and while several resorts share it, we never felt it was crowded. Great sand, beautiful views, with some fun snorkeling to the north end. You can see whales spouting in the distance during the season. The resort grounds were well kept and good looking. The Kapalua walking trail nearly abuts the resort and makes for a fun easy hike. Our keaka studio room was very nice, with full kitchenette and private ocean view balcony. While parking was pretty compact, it was included, and we loved that they don’t nickel and dime you with parking and resort fees. Our only complaints were that the amenities are somewhat misrepresented. It says there are 4 pools and two hot tubs—one for adults only. Ok. But some pools are off limits if you’re not staying in certain rooms, and the only pool and hot tub our kids were allowed in closed down at sunset—6pm! That’s about when we roll back into the resort after a full day of activities and want to swim. The snack shop and towel service also close at 4 and 5. Shuffleboard? Too bad—it closes at 5 with the snack shop. We didn’t eat at the Sea House restaurant on site because it was pricey, even for Maui. Overall, beautiful location and a quiet neighborhood. This isn’t the place to stay if you want to walk to lots of shops and restaurants, but it was great if you plan to drive and explore the west side of the island.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Clean rooms with great views. Great location. Famiky friendly beach. Hotel does not provide beach umbrellas.

We loved our stay here and I plan to return. The resort has nice amenities like insulated grocery bag and soft side cooler for guest use. We had an issue in our room and when they weren’t able to fix it they changed us to another room. Staff were friendly And management was wonderful to work with. There are two beach options in short walking distance.

Absolutely Beautiful Resort -we stayed in a studio with a full kitchen and lanai. Kitchen was fully equipped including utensils to use the outdoor grills. There are 4 pools, all with breathtaking views of the bay, the beach is right off the property and they provide beach chairs and towels that can be exchanged for fresh ones through out the day. They have a snack bar with delicious frozen drinks. They have fans and air conditioning in the rooms. Do not hesitate to book here! We absolutely loved our stay.

We arrived in a downpour to discover that our room was a long outdoor walk. The car that should have taken us there was broken. They provided a broken umbrella. We finally got a working umbrella and then separate rides in a golf cart with no side coverage through huge puddles. We were soaked by the time we got there. The room was fine. The restaurant is very good. But there's nothing else there--no bar, no place to buy any toiletries or snacks, no room service, incredibly minimal activities. I think it might be good if you have a car and want to hang out in your room, but I would never stay there again.

Beautiful property! Friendly staff. I just wish they had a nicer fitness center, for those who still like to workout while on vacation. Yes, we will be back for sure.

The resort delivered everything a good resort should provide. Excellent rooms, very clean and well maintained. Great facilities, but recommend booking the restaurant as it gets very busy.

Staff was so friendly. Our room had the most beautiful view and was clean, updated and stunning!

Very clean and grounds are well taken care of. On site dining is a big plus. Laid back atmosphere, not stuffy as some of the ritzy places can be. I don’t think the beach area is private and not extremely large, but we didn’t exactly go to Maui for the beach. Be careful of the beach trail in high tide/high wave conditions. Overall hidden gem.

Loved being by Napili Bay and Kapalua bay beaches. Location of resort is excellent. Sea House restaurant/bar is very good. Room refrigerator made some very loud noises - not normal. Bed was sagging.

Very clean. View was worth the cost. Rooms were unbelievably big & spacious. Full size refrigerator & stove with all the accessories. Showers were really nice.

We loved our stay. However, some of the items in our room weren't great. The dishwasher was broken, and the door into the bathroom was dinged. Just minor things that needed a little attention.

We loved staying at Nāpili Kai It was wonderful to be able to go from my room right out to the beach. It was quiet, peaceful, and the snorkeling was very good. What needs attention are the guest rooms. We stayed in a two bedroom two bath suite This rooms carpet were dirty. The couches were frayed and worn out and dirty, and the furniture was chipped The property is beautiful, so many colorful flowers and fruit trees. The butterflies were amazing and looking out at the beach and hearing the surf daily was what made the whole trip worthwhile

The beach area is beautiful, but the pools are very disappointing along with the rest of the resort. They have not remodeled the property ever and I was told by several guests who have stayed here several times over the past 30 years that everything is the same with the exception of newer appliances in the rooms. We had several massive cockroaches in our room and had to be relocated to a different room! We appreciate the hotel changing our rooms, but should never have encountered this. We travel all over the word in jungle-like locations and have never encountered cockroaches like we did here.

We had a wonderful time! Our lodging was perfect, the view was gorgeous, and the overall resort is exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately the restaurant is not flexible for our older kids. They are very strict on the ten and under menu; our teen daughter was not allowed to order from it. I have never encountered that before. Their main menu had nothing that she was interested in eating and the prices were such that we were not willing to make her try something new. As a result they missed out on our entire family eating there.

I liked the different pools, nice beach access, and activities they had every day. The rooms were clean and everything too needed like an electric tea kettle, silverware, and cutting boards. However, I think the rooms were a little dated and could use some upgrades.

Excellent location. You get a great stay for a reasonable rate. The rooms are spacious and clean. The small kitchenette saved us many times on our week long stay.

The rooms were bit outdated and needed some updates. The king size bed was sagging on tow sides.

Napili Kai was exactly what we were looking for our vacation. The ocean view from our lanai was extraordinary. We saw whales, turtles, breathtaking sunsets, a beautiful rainbow. I called it my magic lanai and said it was giving me gifts. The bed was so comfy, we are considering buying a new bed at home. The kitchen was a fully equipped kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back.

We had an oceanfront studio and it’s probably the nicest view and lanai I’ve ever had. The ocean was right there, with beautiful sunsets and incredible views. The kitchenette was well stocked and though we didn’t cook, we could heat up leftovers and had a lot of cold drinks and fruit. It’s right between Napili and Kapalua bays, two really nice beaches. We had a great stay!

Staff members were amazing and knew us by name! Our housekeeper, Sheryl was great and our studio was always perfect! Such a great location and the resort had everything we could have wanted and more! A huge highlight ( besides the view from our room) was the Sea House restaurant! Phenomenal, please get the cioppino!!! Can’t wait to stay here again! It was the first time we didn’t stay somewhere on Ka’anapali… we’ve found our forever place when we come to Maui! These are pictures from our lanai!💗🌺🌴

Could not find one thing to complain about. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was amazing as was the beach. We missed a day due to airlines and desk staff arranged an extra day covered by Expedia.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Mark, one of the desk managers even loved my husband a ukulele.

The resort was absolutley immaculate, grounds were pristine and restaurant was delcious and affordable. Oue check in experience was not so good, the gentleman checking us in was quite condescending, speaking down to me and making me feel like I was a nusance. It was the end of his shift so perhaps I got the brunt of his day. That was not a very good start to our babymoon. The resort has many great offerings. The king bed was two twins put together and they were seprateing at the middle with one side having a big dip in it.

Our only issue was with the Sea House restaurant. Reservations were hard to come by. The restaurant and bar is really quite small for the size of the resort. There was no place to get a quiet drink before dinner and the outdoor areas weren’t really utilized. The food and service was very good. But it is sooo loud! Can’t figure out why as the room is not that big and open air. But would we come back? Most definitely.

The area is beautiful, the resort is a little outdated but not too old and still has everything you need. The views are impeccable. Front desk staff was amazing, housekeeping amazing. Sea House Restaurant and bar staff was rude and acted like I was bothering them when asking basic questions or just trying to order food Togo, left a bad taste. The beach shack guys were great service wise and very helpful/chill.

Location location location! Nāpili Bay is beautiful, great channel vistas, super relaxing, excellent beach, swimmable & memorable.

The location was great, with easy access to the beach. Groceries are available at the nearest mall for those preparing meals in kitchenettes.

The location was superb - the grounds were a lush garden. The hotel was the best we’ve stayed in Maui. Highly recommend.

It was fine overall but not the level of service and comfort I would expect from the price point. A beachfront resort with no watercraft available, even for a surcharge? The on-site restaurant closed entirely between happy hour and dinner? I expected more.

Rooms were clean and premises well kempt; however, there is almost no shade for reprieve from the sun--only three old umbrella huts with a few lounge chairs under them--the drinks at the pool were expensive and not drinkable, the restaurant was slow and the service in the same was poor.

The view from our room was spectacular. The room itself was spacious and well equipped. The resort would benefit from a decent restaurant and a separate bar area. The Sea House is not great frankly. We had a spectacular deal so can’t complain overall.

This is a beautiful property, 10 acres located in a peaceful bay. Perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The restaurant on site has great food and a happy hour every day. Lots of nearby walking trails through Kapalua. This is our second visit and we will be back!

We stayed two nights in an Ocean Front studio, which appeared to be recently updated. The room was beautiful and the views were spectacular. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. They must have a great housecleaning team! The room comes equipped with a full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave and stove/oven (which we didn’t use). The onsite restaurant is very good (make reservations).

What a wonderful Beach Resort. The service was friendly and efficient. The Sea House restaurant on the property was delicious and so convenient. Got to Snorkel right at the property, saw fish, coral and a turtle. Sunsets were beautiful when not cloudy.
