Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lafayette IN

I'm pretty sure Patrick Henry's first draft said, "Give me liberty, or give me a stay at the Lafayette Days Inn!" We got stuck in the elevator. I called and asked multiple times if they could get us out but they kept asking for my email address so they can add me to the rewards program. When I was finally able to get to the front desk, the guy said that sometimes the elevator stops, but they can restart it with the circuit breaker and if that doesn't work, they can call the fire department. He assured me that this is "normal." Since we obviously used the stairs for the rest of our stay, we parked near the side doors and discovered that none of them close all the way. One of the other rooms on our floor had a chunk of wood broken off the outside of its door. The shower head was the same exact one I had in my house...30 years ago, and it clearly had never been cleaned. The toilet randomly flushed on its own, and there was hair all over the bathroom floor. The towels had brown stains on them. The 80-grit wash cloths could come in handy if they cared to fix the big hole in the drywall that was obviously caused by the bathroom door handle. I joked that breakfast will probably be liquid or powdered eggs, but even that proved to be an unrealistically high expectation. There were no eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, bagels, toast, muffins, etc. There was sliced bread and cereal. I'm sure there is a lot more that we didn't discover during our short stay, this place is bad.

All doors were unlocked so at all doors anyone could get into the building. Outside all the trash containers were overflowing and then trash was started piling onto the ground, cigarette butts all over the grounds, and not much of breakfast and nothing ever restocked or no tongs to pick up items everyone was using their hands when dring containers eere empty never refilled. We had a dog i would tell the housekeepers i would have the dog outside so they could clean our room but they never did poor house keepers .

Elevator was broken

Property should not even be open . Remodeling is going on and nothing in this hotel is clean. Shower head filthy, shower curtain filthy, outdated and the whole hotel is covered in dust. No breakfast to speak of. No worth the price we paid.

The motel was in a great state of disrepair. Every day we had to get our key cards reset. The air conditioner didn't work at all in the first room we were given. We were given a new room, where the air conditioner barely worked, but was offered no help in moving to the new room - and I had to get the key cards reset twice in moving rooms. The shower was a dribble. And to end it all, we were stuck in the elevator.

The elevator didn't work. Main floor was booked and since we had to take the stairs I asked for second floor. Desk clerk said no problem and then gave us a room on the 3rd floor. There was a room near the office full of clutter. The morning continental breakfast on the weekends was 7 to 10 am. When we got there at about 7:10 there was no food or personnel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at all.

Elevator broke down during my stay. Not their fault, but took about a day to get it fixed.

We came for a graduation with family- each in their own room. Each of our 4 rooms had problems. Toilets not bolted to the floor. Burnt out lights. Broken tables. And a terrible smell when the AC was on. Not to mention the elevator jumped before it went up or down with the door still opened. The water from the fountain downstairs smelled like sewage. The staff were friendly.

Major renovations were going on during our stay all the windows in the hotel were open so it didn’t feel safe construction dust everywhere drywall dust everywhere loud music from the construction workers until 1130 at night hallways stairs and elevator filthy with construction dust. This property should’ve been closed during the construction not open for a few rooms for people to breathe in all the construction dust and have to deal with all the extension cords in the hallway plastic in the hallway. It was up there with one of the worst days I’ve ever had

Very disappointing stay. TERRIBLE value for the price we paid. Bathroom was gross...dirty grout, cracks in sink. Lobby & elevator were dirty. Fitness center was DISGUSTING. On the plus side, the room (bedding) was clean and service was good (easy check in). Also very difficult to navigate to hotel from the highway.

Room was absolutely terrible. Smelled like smoke and the air conditioner hadn’t been cleaned a long time. Hallways were dirty too.

This place is an absolute HOLE! Disgustingly filthy! Dirty pillow cases, stuff splattered on the walls, phone in room, carpet didn't look vacuumed, etc. The whole place smells like onions and mildew to put it mildly. We won't even be taking a shower here as it's that gross!

Room was very gross. There was a cockroach crawling on the nightstand next to the bed. All linen looked dirty or stained yellow. No extra clean towels could be provided. Absolutely disgusting.

This is the dirtiest place I have ever been in my life. Staff was okay, but didn’t want to get up from chair in the back. Room was so dirty I didn’t even let my socks touch the floor, left over pubic hairs from previous guest in bathroom, pet hair all over carpet, grime and dirt on the bed and behind all furniture, weird smells, poop on wall around toilet paper holder, front door I almost had a panic attack because I could not open it to get out.

I cant believe this property is still running. The worst I have ever stayed in. Its smells in hallways, rooms. Faucets/ showers dont work, roaches were there in the bathroom. Linen were yellow or stained. Bath towels look 20 years old..

The pillowcases and sheets were stained. There was gooey stain on the tables and the bathtub curtains were rimmed brown with mold and dirt. Elevator was dirty and the hallway leading to the room smelled heavily of pee

The stay was "fine" however there were some concerns. We noticed that the smoke detector in our room was missing a battery. The shower diverter was almost impossible to use. When we did get it in shower mode, it was very hard to get it back to "bath" and caused water to drip much of the night. The breakfast was minimal with no protein. The front desk employees were very friendly and helpful.

The bed was very comfortable. But I couldn't sleep because of something I failed to bring (medication). The tub wouldn't fully shut off. Yes I told the front desk. The fridge was missing a leg or something so every time I opened the door something fell out. The AC never shut off at temp. I had to turn it off. Sry no I didn't tell front desk about everything. Did t want to sound like a menace. I did tell them about the dog poop in the elevator that I'm sure everyone saw but ignored.

Pluming issue, dingy towels, bathroom doornob fell off, tv didn't work, hall ways smelled. Other than that nevermind.

When we checked in the gentleman working was extremely nice. The first thing I noticed was the condition of the elevator outside wash dirty and so was the inside. We got up to our room and started checking it out. The room was kind of small I think. There was hair and crumbs in one of our beds, glass cleaner was left in the bathroom and the towel rack was broken and our tv didn’t work. Other guests in the room next to ours were loud and slamming doors at midnight having a dispute kept us awake. The free breakfast was cereal and toast with juice, tea, coffee and milk. They didn’t have sugar or creamer so that was disappointing. Oh and granola bars. Definitely did not eat anything! I think it’s safe to say I won’t be staying at that hotel again.

The room was clean. I got two kings but didn’t expect a huge bar to separate the two beds. The TV was positioned on top a stand right in the middle and was the view was blocked by the bar so that it wasn’t visible from both bed areas and not really fully visual from either bed area. The room was Hot when I arrived and it took forever for it to cool off. Actually the area with the bed closest to the door never really cooled off and I ended up piling into the bed closest to the air conditioner. The people upstairs were up all night, screaming and yelling, and stomping and it actually woke us up at 3am and continued until we checked out. The parking was sufficient but the parking lot at night felt a bit sketchy and like it could be unsafe. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and it was cleanish. The other furniture appeared to be pieced together with sawed off edges and missing doors, not what you’d expect from a wider known hotel.

We said something about the toilet would run after we flushed even though we jiggled with the handle to get it to stop. We didn’t take any photos of the room. The pictures were deceiving to make it look like a decent room which we were not happy with

stuff is rude and disrespectful

I needed a cheap-ish place to stay, after my son's school event, so that we could just quickly wake up in the morning and head back to his event. The entrance to the hotel was extremely hard to find, in the dark. The "entrance" sign, for the parking lot, was not well lit, at all. At check in, I stood at the counter for a few minutes, before being acknowledged, because the employee was playing on their phone. The whole place looked dilapidated. The bed linens were DISGUSTING. They had ink blobs and other miscellaneous stains on them. We slept fully clothed, and on top of all the bed linens, because were literally only staying in this hotel for a total of 6-7 hours, before heading back out. If I was staying in Lafayette for multiple nights, I would have left this hotel and definitely found somewhere else to stay. It wasn't the cleanest, but I've also seen way worse. You definitely are getting what you pay for. Initially, I chose to stay here because it included "free breakfast" but ultimately, we skipped out on the free breakfast because we weren't really wanting to chance the cleanliness of the kitchen facilities, judging by the rest of the hotel appearance.

I am on the executive staff for a hotel downtown Madison, WI. I am very understanding, especially knowing staffing levels being low. I just did not feel emotion from any employees, the guy working the desk was asleep as I tried to turn in room keys and ask about breakfast. The single pot of coffee was empty by 7 am. The hallways being very dirty. Paint chopping off of every wall. It's easier to at least appear more clean. So disappointed

Took a long time for the front desk person to come to the desk. Check in took a while. Room felt dirty. Shower diverter didn’t work. Faucet on sink very loose and hard to shut off. Pot smell coming from room next door. Loud guests in the halls at 3 am. Expected way more for the price of this hotel.

This is honestly my go-to for a quick stay in Lafayette. Clean rooms, nice staff, breakfast is simple. It's perfect for the price.

The hotel is in desperate need of upgrades and renovations. The staff were courteous and responsive.

This is the third time I’ve had to stay for extended period and the manager has always been helpful and friendly. He’s always made me feel comfortable and welcome.

Nothing fancy. It’s a little run down, but a very reasonable stay with Comfortable beds, clean room and quiet area just off the interstate

1. Horrible to find. Must go thru two other motel parking lots to get to. 2. Very rundown and indicative of cheaper rate. Not a good image for Days Inn.

Good location. Right next to major expressway and commerce. The outside of the hotel was a little shabby. Landscaping need to be attended to but the room made up for it. Towels were a bit rough but overall happy with my stay.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Area was near restaurants and shopping. Right off the exit.

It was difficult to find the driveway to the facility parking lot. I drive around the unit a couple of times before I found the entrance

For a quick overnight stay just to sleep and shower in the morning it was great for the price. You couldn’t call what they had out for food in the morning “breakfast” though. It was basically cereal and juice. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet from 10p-6a.

Clean room, breakfast wasn’t much to offer, not very desirable! Coffee and cold cereal was about all they had to offer!

The room itself was pretty good, and the bed was comfortable. Cleanliness was okay, nothing over the top. The lobby is pretty dingy and old, in need of an update and refurbishment for sure. The biggest thing I had a problem with was the dismal complimentary breakfast. Very little choice was available. Coffee, white bread, Nature Valley granola bars, apples, five paks (2 flavors) instant oatmeal, two kinds of kids cereal, brownie bites, milk, OJ, and one other pitcher of something in mini fridge. That is all the food I remember seeing. A toaster and microwave are also available. I completely understand not having any hot food, but why not yogurt, granola, other fruit choices, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, danish, other pastries, or donuts, etc?

I wouldn’t say breakfast is included. The breakfast area had stale muffins, no toast , no cereal and a mini fridge with a bottle of apple juice and milk. The bed was comfortable however, the room itself needed an update and as there were stains on the walls and towels were yellow.

This was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Their free breakfast consisted of fruit loops, on and coffee. We were going to stay 4 nights but after one night, we checked out.

Free breakfast should be breakfast and clean the elevator! Breakfast was toast your bread or make a cereal!

For the area's lowest cost hotel, everything in the room was in better condition than expected. Beds were comfortable and shower had lots of water pressure. There was coffee, juice, and milk available each morning. Breakfast is an offering of high carb foods. Such as cereal, toast, ready made bars, apples, and mini doughnuts. All the staff we encountered was efficient and polite during our week long stay.

The hotel itself is older. There are torn screens and other evidence of age. But it was clean, the beds okay and the staff helpful. No sign of bedbugs. If there is any place it really suffers it is in amenities. There was no coffee maker in my room, just a pot downstairs. The "free breakfast" was basically coffee, milk, juice and a starch. (I would call that a 'continental breakfast' at most.) The TV was very small but there was free Xfinity cable. All in all for a cheap-sleep it was fine, but by spending a bit more I moved to a much more convenient and comfortable hotel my second week otu of my apt.

Good value for less expensive option. Breakfast at 8am was one small wrapped pastry and coffee. I would return
