Super simple, updated and clean roadside motel They have a lovely heated pool, offer gulf access with free use of paddleboards and kayaks. There’s even a sandy “beach” to lounge on, lawn games and a beautiful sunset view. Would absolutely recommend if passing through Layton. Very affordable. Staff is lovely. Grounds are immaculate and gorgeously landscaped.

Love this little getaway resort. Everything you need is right there - pickleball, bikes, paddleboarding/kayaking, entertainment and dining, they even have yoga. Beautiful sunset views, walk-out onto the beach, relax in a hammock, play a round of cornhole, meet new people - or don't - whatever you need to relax is all there for you.

Amazing views, relaxing, quiet, peaceful, nice beach, amenities, kayak, paddleboards, coffee at the lobby and the restaurant (provided in the morning). We stayed in a townhome which was across the street from the ocean. Its easy to cross the road as an adult. There was a pool on the townhome side and beach side. The sunset is amazing, beach yoga was offered 2x a week in the morning. I wish it was offered daily as it was amazing and they offer a massage service. The restaurant on the property is good, very tasty. We had a pasta dinner, chicken entree and garor bites as well as breakfast once. We ate in our townhome or local restaurants too. We visited local beaches and ours was pur favorite for the beach and snorkeling.

An excellent place to stay, the room was spotless. With the added bonus of the heated pool, free use of kayaks. There are no complementary breakfasts included regardless the of the listing, the on site bar and restaurant is owned separately. Lovely people, we opted for shopping at the local supermarket and making use of the microwave and fridge. WiFi works a little slow. Plates, cups and utensils sink with washing up liquid all supplied. Can’t fault it. Highly recommend

It was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed the pool and the variety of activities included (bikes, paddleboards, kayaks), but what made it for us was the spectacular sunset view from our room. Practically speaking, assigned parking is the best! We also found the restaurant on-site to be good all-around— we enjoyed the convenience of take-out supper as well as a sit down breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful vacation☺️

We stayed 3 days at the Lime Tree Bay portion of the Lime Tree Hotel/Resort. We noticed how the bottoms of our feet were “filthy” each evening before going to bed but assumed it was a result of sitting outside on our balcony/attached porch. (After all, it was a porch and housekeeping was probably not responsible for that). The third morning (after showering), ), we realized it was actually the floor of the room we were in. We took a picture of the bottom of my foot and showed it to the clerk when we checked out and told her about the cleaner only coming in to change the towels on 2 of the 3 days…nothing else done. She said she would let housekeeping know. When I pay over $300. each day gir a room, I expect a clean room, not just towels.

Nice enough location & quiet- not a lot of people, which was desired. I personally wanted to be left alone to relax. I put the "do not disturb" sign on my door the second I got there. Sadly, I was still pestered with calls & texts from the main office asking if I needed anything the first two days there. While I hate to be critical of that, as most would like that attention to detail, it personally made it hard to shut off my brain & truly relax. Kinda defeats the whole "do not disturb" thing. A bag was left outside my door every night with fresh towels, TP & water. Again, they are looking out for me, but, it was never needed & I never asked for it. Ended up just throwing them aside. The room was ok, but clearly needs some fixing up. Sadly, the housekeeping is lacking badly. The person who stayed in 157b before me had some bleeding going on & there were traces all over the bathroom that did not get cleaned. Another big reason I wouldn't let housekeeping in during my stay.

The floor of our room was filthy; our feet would be black on the bottom if we didn’t wear shoes. The toilet ran constantly and at one point overflowed. I will say that the staff was very attentive to our needs and comments. They sent us a daily check-in, and responded quickly when we needed something. We had a kitchenette, but there was no baking sheet and only 2 sets of silverware

Rooms were nice, amenities were good. The balcony was my favorite place. Housekeeping could be better. They didn’t clean out the cabinets of the previous stay and someone’s old food was in there. However, the rest of the room was clean. A/C went out and they tried to have it promptly repaired and even offered alternative arrangements.

We absolutely loved this place. It was our first time staying there and it was such a pleasant surprise. The rooms were clean, updated, and our room had a wonderful view of the water. The grounds are beautiful and very tropical. It is a hidden gem. We can’t wait to go back.

The staff was very helpful: even delivering ice to us. However, while the room looked and smelled newly cleaned, the soles our feet became quite dirty from the dark tile floor and had to be washed at bedtime. There was also an unpleasant septic system smell near the pool area both days.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lime Tree. We stayed at dockside and this section is VERY quiet. The room was super spacious and for a one bedroom we all had plenty of space. The pools are very clean and there are chairs outside spread out for couples to enjoy areas of the grounds.

We got the apartment off the main resort and it was definitely spacious, clean, and comfy with separate AC units for the living room and bedroom. Clean and well kept. The parking was hidden under a tree which needs to be have it's branches cut for easier access. The sofa bed is not really a bed, it's more of a futon.

Our stay was pretty darn good. The use of the kayaks was easy and fun! The only negative feedback I would have is the bed wasn't the best. The mattress was turned upside down and a foam pillow cover added to make it softer which was very odd.

We were supposed to stay 2 nights and ended up leaving after one night. The AC didn’t keep our room cool and we didn’t sleep much bc it was so hot. The bed was very uncomfortable and the plantation shutters were broken in places. Check in took over 30 mins. The dark hair lady was so nice and friendly but she was the only one working. The phone was ringing and there was a line of people checking in. An older lady came out and just stood there and didn’t do anything. We wouldn’t stay here ever again.

The property was beautiful and we had a late check in due to a late flight and an issue getting a rental car. Did not arrive to almost 1:30 in the morning and they closed at 11:00. I call in advance and the hotel clerk waited over for us to make sure we got checked in, and even gave his free breakfast at the restaurant on property for the next morning. The service was top notch. The property was very nice, the kids loved the pools, and the beach side yoga class.

The area was beautiful. But they did not disclose the location we were staying in at the resort was across a busy hwy and we had to cross with three kids. The pool access was closed, we even called before we booked to ensure the pools would be available and they told us the pools were open. The lady refused to change our rooms to the same side of the hwy as the beach so we wouldn’t cross the hwy even when we said we would pay extra. The maintenance people started working under our room before daylight with tools waking us up early. One male worker let himself into our place at night with his key. We did overcome these obstacles still having fun on our vacation. But we will not be staying there anymore.

Upon finding out that our engine coolant hose had split, we limped our way into this hotel. This place could not have been nicer. Letting us keep our car until a tow truck could come, let us check out later, and made it such a wonderful experience still despite the circumstances. The staff is wonderful and we could not be more grateful!

This is my second time here. It’s a beautiful and very clean place, but the front desk staff is very unprofessional and unfriendly. We are paying to stay here and relax — this is not free! This was our first time to the Islamorada area and we were not sure about staying so far 'out of town' as it is about a 15 minute ride to the main area of Islamorada where the primary shopping and entertainment is. That said- we were so happy we chose Lime Tree! The resort was excellent is every way!. Plenty of seating of various kinds over the property (hammocks, reclining beach chairs, chairs with tables) and they were spread out in a comfortable way. The pool was warm (pleasantly, but not too warm) and a nice size. Views were beautiful. Free amenities which we enjoyed. The restaurant was good for drinks and bar food (other than that your driving to town). There is a convenience store across the street for snacks and beverages. Very casual and laid back property. We would absolutely stay here again! There was some road noise at AM 'rush hour' but not so much that we were bothered. We opted for one of the larger single bed rooms for a few more dollars and I think that money was well spent. The room had some silverware, paper towels etc which was helpful. Several people grilled on the property when we were there which we would do next time. Finally, I found the property map, on the Lime Tree web site very helpful to see where rooms were located. Nice place!

Location was a great central location for going both to upper and lower keys. Beautiful Long Key State Park just down the road. Wonderful heated pool and other water paddling accommodations. Staff was so very nice and helpful!

We enjoyed our stay at Lime Tree bay resort. You have access to free kayaks, paddle boards & bicycles. We stayed on the bayside which is off the main property but just a short walk away. There is a restaurant on the property but no where else really close by to eat. Our room had a kitchen so we were able to have food in our room. Overall nice stay. Few minor issues with the room, the door stuck & was hard to close, the toliet was loose & needed to be tightened, the sink was really high & a child would not be able to reach to brush teeth. One day housekeeping came in & left new towels but didn't make the bed. No deal breakers though.

Great service and staff. We were staying in the apartments off property. There should really be a designated cross walk across the highway to the main property. There was no good place to cross the busy highway, especially in the dark.

Wonderful vacation with my hubby!! Pros: Beautiful location! It’s a nice slow paced area, much different than Miami or even Key West. Nice pool area. Helpful staff. Cons: Must drive to stores and restaurants, nothing walkable except the restaurant at the resort.

The pool was literally steps from our door, and The Florida Boy Bar/Grill, although independently owned/operated, was a short walk along the path, and served delicious meals, including breakfast. The staff at Lime Tree truly caters to its guests!

Beautiful property and nice rooms. Warm, big pool but it closes very early, 7pm. The bikes and kayaks are also loked up early. We did not enjoy the attached bar/restaurant. Poor service and the free breakfast was kind of a joke with canned fruit cocktail. No other dining options walkable nearby. We enjoyed our two night stay but might be bored if we stayed longer.

Enjoyed our stay but the breakfast was disappointing. Visited breakfast bar at 9am and they said they had no boiled eggs left or any eggs and other items were processed with just a couple fruit options. They close at 10am and many people were still coming to eat. Not impressed.

We spent one night after fishing on the Gulf of America. The restaurant did a ‘Catch and Cook’ on our Snapper, and it was excellent. Room was clean, had a nice view of the Gulf and the chairs by the water were quite inviting.
