Lovely waterfront bungalows, updated with first class amenities. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the added waterfront deck to watch the sunset was awesome. They have a great food truck for lunch and dinner—the little store really only has beer, wine and soda. Some breakfast items would be nice

Everything we needed for our trip was right there.. fishing bait, the ocean front property at the motel and fishing bridge a walks distance across the road. The Lick It food shack offers a great variety and the bbq is delicious (they will also cook your catch). We did not use the pool, but many were and it was clean and inviting as well. Wonderful staff that was very pleasant and welcoming. Walk out on the piers and see fish. Gorgeous sunset views. Already planning our next trip.

Hotel room is impeccably clean, perfect area in the Keys. Use the intercom if no one is at the desk during hours. Room had excellent views and back patio with chairs and table for each room.

The views are amazing. It's a great place to watch the sunset. Rooms are clean, and the BBQ food truck on site was delicious. Quiet area, though right next to the highway. However, the amenities are falsely advertised. There are no bikes, no kayaks, and no private beach area. You can sit at picnic tables by the water, but no lounge chairs. It is a bare bones motel which was fine but not what was advertised. We did see manatees and enjoyed watching the Super Bowl under the tiki hut by the food truck. The sunsets were spectacular.

The view is stunning. The location of this property is the best. Room was very clean. Rooms are spacious and big. They have a kitchen with utensils. We had many towels on hand. Pool was great. They had hammocks and games outdoors. Would definitely come back.

Room was nicely updated. Pool was cold and too dirty with leaves and dirt/debri on bottom for my comfort. Did not get in because of the lack of cleanliness. 3 tries to go into shop/office during posted open hours, and door locked every time. Nice setting. Two remotes for TV but no directions for sequence to operate it. After 1/2 hour of trying gave up.

We stayed in a cottage and overall was a good stay. We came down for a bridge fishing trip and the location to do that is excellent. The cottage did have a couple of maintenance issues but they were fixed right away. Kudos to the worker that rescued a flip flop that fell in the water. He even went and got a kayak to help us out!! The grounds were very nice and the BBQ truck had good food onsite.

Lovely hotel, clean, great in-room amenities with kitchenette, amazing ocean view (we watched the sunset on the ocean), and lovely grounds with beachside lawn chairs, fire pits and hammocks.

This place was awesome! Beautiful views, sunsets, fishing off piers, snorkeling in a small secluded beach, awesome food truck on site and the office sells cases of beer so you really don’t have to leave! We would highly recommend, we care more about location vs the inside which was a little dated but it was clean. Staff all very friendly, really great spot and beautiful area.

But don't expect a 5 star accommodation, the rooms are in need of a renovation, the balconies are on bad shape and you cant walk barefoot on them (or the docks) The guests (mostly families) at this hotel were very noisy and played loud music on the beach and from the rooms. Free parking is nice, but they overparked, so it was quite hard to get in/out of your parking spot. Overall, this place is good, and the kids loved fishing from the docks. The BBQ restaurant serves really good food, but with loooong wait times and not the nicest personnel.

The place is ok for one night, but the price is way to high for what is offered. The terrace door was broken, the chairs on the terrace were dirty, and I got a serious chigger attack when on this property.

The partial ocean view cottage was ok. Everything is a little sticky. Needs a good cleaning. A little TLC will go a long way. That being said. It is a nice little lodge. Great outdoor common areas. Snorkeling right on sight. Tasty food truck open for lunch and dinner. Friendly, helpful staff.

The shower was minimal. The bedside lamp would not work and we found the bulb to be shattered. The young man at the “office” said he would try to find a replacement and finally did. The curtain on the sliding glass door was about to fall down. The inside of the top of the microwave was encrusted with old food. The BBQ food truck was not open. We definitely would not stay here again nor would we recommend it to anyone.

This is my third year in a row staying at this lodge. The location is amazing, and that has not changed. But I was quite disappointed with the condition of the room on this stay. Has management changed or taken their eye off the ball? The moment I walked in, the front hall light did not turn on. Next, there was only 1 coffee packet, for my stay of 4 nights? -- (Was there any awareness of how long the guest was staying in that room?) -- When I asked for more I was given 1 more, and had to clarify that I would need yet 2 more to cover my full stay. Small details, but they are important. Meanwhile the AC was dripping heavily on the floor, and there were significant mold stains on the walls. That alone made the place look like a slum apartment. The floor was sticky to my feet (some kind of chemical?) and required that I mop it down with towels so I could comfortably go barefoot. The fragrance generated by the electronic wall fragrance pod made my stomach nauseous until I unplugged it and opened all the doors. There was no fan installed in the bathroom, and no way to open the window, so what to do about smelly toilets or shower steam? The overall power went out on two occasions for a brief moment, causing everything to flash and beep. And to top that all off, I had to chase a large rat out of the room on one late night. I believe these people are good people, and I know this location is wonderful. But I would bring details back up to standards, to match location.

This is a cool property right on the water. The rooms were clean and efficient. The only problem, which was a huge one, is that the room did not have any heat and it was 56 degrees outside and a little cooler inside the room. They offered no space heater or resolution to the problem. I would make sure you check the weather before your trip and cancel if the weather is supposed to be cold/cool. Sleeping in clothes and beanie hats was not comfortable.

This property is small with a million dollar view of the water right outside your door. Its an older property. The owners are updating the property. Staff was very nice and attentive. Room was very clean. Centrally located to any of the keys. Great food truck on site. Clean pool, beach and docks.

The view from our room was beautiful. For the price it was ok. The worse part is the noise from the air conditioning. Bring ear plugs!

The hotel is well located and has good exteriors but the rooms need urgent remodeling.

I had a really nice stay. The room was spacious and the hotel is right on the water front. Perfect place to break up the drive along the keys. Highly recommend.

The location is perfect 10 right on the water next to the bridge. The condition of the room is not so good a perfect 4. It truly needs a full renovation. Plastic pipe locks the slider. Wires exposed on the ceiling fan. You could literally sit on the toilet and wash at the sink at the same time. Mold in the tiny shower and you need to hold the shower head to rinse since it’s broken and aims at the side wall. Bed super uncomfortable and really no place to put anything other then a tiny table snd nasty nightstand. No bugs during our bit. Screens would be nice. Not sure how it gets such a high rating.

Our room was right on the water. The room was perfect for 2 people. The lodge is right on US 1 which was busy and noisy but I guess that is expected on the keys.

Very flimsy and balky lock on the sliding patio door that was the once entrance to my room. Did not feel that secure. That said, the property itself felt safe, in great shape, superb view and waterfront (tho no beach). Would definitely stay again. Handy spot for Middle Keys.

Room was so quaint and clean! I love the private balcony over the water! There was the most adorable fridge and microwave too! Would definitely come back here!

I love being right on the water. What a view for sunset and sunrise. Only thing that was wrong is the refrigerator wasn’t working properly, and the shower didn’t have a holder for soap.

My wife and I have been going almost yearly to Edgewater Lodge for 30 years. I've never left a review in the past but after our current experience I feel the need to do so. On our first night there during this current trip, the individuals in an adjoining room were way out of control well into the night. The next morning I went to see Chris to see if he could help us out by moving us to another room if those individuals were going to be spending another night in their room. At that point Chris made us priority #1. He immediately accommodated us. That's the reason we will continue to visit Edgewater in the future. Thanks Chris for a job well done.

The hotel was completely unreasonable and refused to offer any kind of accommodation or partial refund or even a credit for canceling in advance for bereavement and Covid reasons. Forget this place, I think it’s run by heartless robots.

It is an amazing atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, the room was very clean. The front desk man - Christian was very pleasant and professional. His clean dog, Bella, is very cute and mellow.

I liked everything from the view to the staff. Im definatelycoming back. Sergio works on the property, very helpful and outstanding customer service skills.

I’ve visited this property many times before for my boyfriend to fish. This time I did not get the room I purchased, a large group of people including front desk staff were up until 3 am in the morning partying outside the rooms, the beach and docks were under construction. The room condition was extremely poor and needs updating. Cleanliness was good considering the room condition. To fish you have to go to the bridge since the docks are under construction. The hotel also needs to state the property is under construction for anyone booking. I arrived at 10:30 pm and a key was left for me in a box or I would of bought up my issues. Sadly, I will not be returning here. I recommend staying down the street for the same price.

Gentleman at the desk was amazing! We stay here every year and so pleased with all the changes. LOVE the little restaurant set up! Excelle t food, great prices and staff are wonderful! Finally a place to eat without driving out of Layton!!!

The location is outstanding. The check in was very smooth. The rooms were nice and clean. Also, most important, it felt safe. Their little store was very convenient with more than just basics. Did I mention the location? Watch the sunset on the ocean from bed. We could have done that but we sat on the balcony, which can be a dock. The ocean sound just outside your slider doors were the best sleeping experience! Other more expensive resorts with tall buildings by the ocean do not have this. Not for everyone staying there, here they do. Without elevators and huge parking lots without tons of people around you. Not here. Super enjoyable. Feels like a small Caribbean island.

A very comfortable waterfront motel. Not a lot to do in the immediate area but within 15 minutes from most attractions.

We want to spend some time and enjoy some places at the keys. This place is in a strategic location, close to Isla Morada and Marathon Key. Sunset is amazing.

Great little place in the Keys. Pretty distant from restaurants and stores. Only negative; lots of noise outside from neighbors. Some yard games etc right on your front doorstep going on during the day. Clean, safe and friendly-
