The Landon Bay Harbor-Miami Beach

The Landon is a nice boutique hotel near Bal Harbor. Small, clean and quiet. Decent location because you can walk to beach, cafes and shops near surfside and bal harbor. A solid 3 star hotel, but no pool, restaurant or property to lounge in….Fine for 2-3 nights!

The one good thing about our stay was the manager on duty the night we arrived. He was very friendly and helpful. Morning/Day manager was pathetic. Breakfast was pathetic. Attached restaurant very expensive and has dress code. Shower was definitely showing its age. You have to climb stairs to gain access to all rooms. Never again.

Cheap and clean, no thrills. My mistake, thought there was a pool. Parking is very limited, was not told upfront. Had to park in a public space and either pay more or take chance of being ticketed.

Its was okay hotel at best. Didnt have a pool, limited appliances. No microwave for guest to warm up food. They did have coffee which i took advantage of. Two out of three front desk employees were nice. The one that checked me in was kinda rude but overall i wasn't tripping over that. The room itself was comfortable and clean. I loved the shower! If i came back miami I probably wouldnt come back to this hotel. No parking is another issue🤔 why i have to pay per hour for parking? Thats a scam miami!

I am not someone hard to please. A hotel is only a spot for me to rest my head and I am usually out and about for most of my day. As long as the place is clean and quiet I am good. The hotel is honestly clean and the location is great. I have to warn everyone though that there is almost no parking at this hotel. They only have 12 spots available and if you are not one of those lucky 12 you are looking for parking around the hotel. So good news there are plenty of spots. Bad news they are limited to 3 hours every 24 hours. This was really stressful to find out while I was in the middle of a concert. Me and the wife came up with a work around but we stressed about getting towed all night. I was lucky I stayed only one night but need to make others aware of this situation.

The rooms are nice and the staff were very responsive. The hotel doesn't have elevators what made it uncomfortable when you have a lot of luggage. Except for that the stay was very good

Only 2 floors, quiet and safe area. You do not get a free bottle of wine they have happy hour from 5-6 pm and parking is $15 a day. No microwave in the room. Close to nude beach

This hotel is in a good location. Overall pretty happy with the room and breakfast is very good. The front staff did get into a disagreement with other guests in front of me about a resort fee that they tack on ($20/day), but it wasn't disclosed on my Expedia reservation and was not charged to me. The main problem is that they say they have parking at $15/day, but they have less than a dozen spots. They then say you can just park at a city lot behind the hotel at just over $10/3hours, but the max is 3 hours before you are forced to move - wasted a couple of my hours on a single night stay first trying to find a spot as the lot was full, then having to move repeatedly; they know this is an issue because they make you sign a waiver upon arrival that they are not responsible for any parking fines you get, but they don't disclose their lack of ability to meet the needs of the number of guest rooms they have. I find this dishonest and so would recommend staying elsewhere

The staff are nice but the rooms aren’t clean, and it smells moldy. When I checked in, there was old dental floss on top of the ac unit, and the tables were dirty. Shower floor and walls are moldy and they needed to be bleached and disinfected. It’s super convenient to Bal Harbour Shops wouldn’t stay here again.

It’s a great spot, but the smell in the room horrendous and the carpet was very dirty.

Location is great, staff is nice, but beware the bathroom is not as nice as in the pictures they share. I attached the photos of the shower. The title was falling off, grout was black with mold and the handle to turn water on/off kept falling off. The bed is set up right next to the old AC unit making it very difficult to sleep due to the noise from the unit. The breakfast is 1 star, stale looking bread and bagels and some bananas and not fresh looking apples, oh and cereal with no milk.

The staff is very friendly, we were offered welcome drink upon arrival. And the deposit of $100 was returned to us the same day after checking out, which is very appreciated. The room needs some update, and pest control. It was very humid, and we found 1 cockroach on the bed. Breakfast is very minimum. I guess it is matching the price we paid in this area, but won’t recommend it unfortunately.

Our room smelled terribly of heavy duty cleaner agents similar to pinesol. Thank god we did not plan to spend a lot of time in it. We opened the windows when we arrived. My clothes and entire suit case actually smelled of the cleaner when we got home. Luckily we basically only slept there or I would have left from a headache. Also people smoked cigarettes directly outside the front door so the lobby smelled like it and we were on the first floor so I felt like the smell went everywhere. I have no idea how this place has so many stars besides the prime location.

I have traveled all of my life and I’m a former diplomat. By far, this was the worst stay ever in my life! If there is no other hotel in Miami, but this to sleep in, sleep in your car. I mean that. I’m still traumatized over the filth, the lack of service, the smelly rooms ( I switched rooms three times in a matter of two weeks). They do not do simple standard things like vacuuming the carpets in the guest rooms, like sanitizing the bathrooms on a daily basis, I started having nightmares that rats were running around the floor of my bed. Why did I stay as long as I did? I had no choice. I was in the middle of very important business meetings, and I just did not have to wear with all to change Hotels until all of the meetings were over.

Love room 12. It was smaller, but perfect. But 11B has a fluorescent light that shines in the window and there’s no curtain. Only shutter. Luckily, they moved me the next day to another room.

The walls are a bit thin. I stayed of the first floor, the people above me walked around all night and I could hear the floor squeaking with every step, me neighbours snored and I could hear it all. It’s a cute boutique hotel and I have no complaints aside from if your a light sleeper or if noise bothers you this might not be the place for you .

Everything was good except the windows- you can hear everything from outside like your windows are fully open.

The parking was a little inconvenient because there aren’t many spaces in the hotel parking lot. We were told to park in front of the hotel then got a call early in the morning to move our car for someone to get out. The room was fine but very small. There are nice restaurants in the area within walking distance/short drive of the hotel.

The room was perfect. The location wonderful. The only thing that is rough was hearing people through the paper thin walls. We got the coughing neighbor.

It was a nice reception and welcome on the beginning of our sray, but the room was noisy ( outside generator) and air conditioner unit was noisy and non convinuent.

Hotel was nice and good location. We got a room on 2nd floor so had to carry luggage up stairs but we were aware of that ahead of time. Rooms were clean and ac and ceiling fan kept us cool. Bed was comfortable. Walls were thin and heard everything going in in rooms next to us so woke up a lot.

We have stayed here before and it was great however this visit resulted in a few issues. Great location. Property needs some repair and updates. Floors are weak in hallway, doors don’t close properly, the toilet in our room leaked and the bathroom showed signs of mold. Remotes (2) for the TV didn’t work properly. Very weak internet reception. Definitely not the same experience as last time.

Room was right above the front and you could hear the door slam shut 24 hrs a day, was quite annoying! If wasn’t for that would of been great!

This hotel doesn’t have enough parking for the guests, need to pay for public parking/ hour , not parking garage in the area. Horrible , unfriendly, not help lady works in the front desk.

The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of an incident where I asked if I could leave my car in the front for 15 minutes. Despite two cars being parked there for two days already, I was told I couldn't. I was in a massive rush and urgently needed to do something quickly. The afternoon staff member's refusal was not acceptable given the circumstances. The evening and morning crew were awesome and super friendly.

My horrifying experience staying at the Landon hotel. Upon my check in, I was informed by the front desk at Tuesday afternoon, 02/25/2025 that I would have a parking spot for the night. However, I came back late, and there wasn’t any spot for my car. I went to the front desk, Claire C and kindly ask her to get some help finding a spot for my car as the day time staff told me to ask the staff for help if there weren’t any spot at night. Claire C. refused to help my situation and claimed that she isn’t responsible for any matter regarding the parking and also threatened me to call the police multiples times to remove us from the hotel despite the fact Claire C. is supposed to represent the company to help a guest to solve the problem. I had to park at the city parking lot for the night. I couldn’t sleep all night because I had to stay awake to pay the meter every 3 hours so I wouldn’t get the violation ticket. It was a complete nightmare for my first night arriving at Miami. Ever since the altercation, Claire C. showed me her nasty attitude every day when I was staying at the hotel. This behavior making my stay felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. I tried to get in contact with the manager, Amanda O. but I never heard from her regarding to my complain. I never thought the hotel staff is bad but the management turned out to be as well. Low quality place and unprofessional staff members. Stay away from this hotel at all cost.

After experiencing an unfortunate Airbnb letdown, I had to quickly find a new place to stay at the last minute. Reluctant to book another Airbnb in the North Miami area, I opted for a hotel instead. I found The Landon on Expedia, which offered a fantastic last-minute deal for four nights. It turned out to be the best choice I could have made. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was sympathetic to my situation and welcomed me graciously. They made me feel right at home, and I quickly fell in love with this boutique hotel. The property is beautifully maintained, the rooms are very comfortable and quiet, and the staff is exceptional. I couldn’t recommend The Landon more enthusiastically. I'll definitely be back!

Everyone else was great & attentive except the Caribbean lady when we checked out. She was too busy on her personal cell phone. When asked for a bottle of water snapped at us and went back to texting. Needless to say: we were iconveniencing her!

This property is located on Bay Harbor area of Miami Beach and within walking distance of the beach. The hotel is an older property but it is not dated. I found the decor pleasing and the check-in process was quick and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was assisted with my luggage and surprisingly Michael delivered my bag to my room. I didn’t stay at the property because of it offered free breakfast and those reviews didn’t deter me from booking a room. The priority was being able to see and visit Miami Beach and enjoy the city.

Cute hotel, no pool but reasonable price and short walk to beach, shops and restaurants:)

Great location

This was a quiet, clean, safe neighborhood - Uber rides to more tourists areas were minimum 25 minutes away. But excellent restaurants and quiet beach all within walking distance. Would stay here again.

Excellent alternative right in Bay Harbor Island’s and walking distance to mall and beach.

Wonderful boutique hotel in a convenient location. An easy walk to the beach, access to a bike trail and rentals plus a lively nighttime vibe just a short walk away with many restaurants. Stayed twice and would again.

Very cozy well-maintained and clean hotel. If not for the no pool, i would rate it 5 star. The staff was super helpful and friendly, the building and room were very clean, the bed was, very comfortable, and the location was great.

The staff is very friendly and the property is well located with comfortable rooms and beds. The continental breakfast is a cold breakfast with limited options.

Shower soap was moldy. Breakfast was a joke. Could hear everything happening in the next room over. Stay away from this place.

Perfect location, complete complimentary breakfast, bagels, toast, croissants, nice selection of fruit, teas and Fresh OJ, Cereal, or yogurt, the hospitality is welcoming and generous. I hope to come back in the future.
