I think all of the hotels in Ontario are similarly run down, but this one was flipped a couple years ago which makes the problems somehow stand out more. Cool bathroom paint makes the bisque tub seem even more dingy. There were a lot of painting errors and mismatched grout in the bathroom which makes it seem less clean too. They put in new floors, paint and furniture but didn't seem to upgrade anything else. The light around the mirror is unpleasant and not bright enough for anything. The room was mostly clean but I knocked them down for not cleaning under the headboard. The beds are on these terrible metal platforms that are noisy af and easy to move but there's still a line of dust between the bed and the wall which must be clearly visible while changing sheets. The walls are paper thin and I could clearly hear people both upstairs and next door. Between that and the bed creaking every time I rolled over, it was hard to sleep. Roku tvs are dumb and they're worse when the internet for them goes down, which mine did for most of the first night. I'd rather have 20 channels of basic cable then get frustrated dealing with an internet tv. The staff were exceedingly kind and helpful, which I appreciate.
