Quality Inn Plainfield I-395

The Quality Inn is a nice place. The staff are responsive and friendly. Things to take note of if you eat continental breakfast, you will need to request staff to turn the heat on if the space is cold. They typically do not have it or the television on. Folks walking around with their coats or hoodies meanwhile, they return to their rooms. Plus, my relatives did not have hot water in their rooms. The 2 couples had to be moved because the water was bone cold. Lastly, the original room that my husband and I stayed in was more like a large hotel room rather than a suite. We were moved due to the malfunctioning jacuzzi; I was so appreciative. I am sure they are aware of some of the things going on with their facility but looking to cut cost or the facility is not pulling in enough money to make necessary repairs. Either way, it was an enjoyable stay; these are some of the things to be mindful of.

Overall the start of the stay was great, check in was easy and getting everything to our room was great but there was a smell in the room that was making me sick, we had to leave early anyhow but I don’t think I would have made it through the night here anyhow. The carpet felt consistently moist and there was a group of Hispanic speaking individuals who were yelling in Spanish and banging on our door trying to get in. We concluded they were drunk but it still made us feel extremely unsafe. The bathtub also didn’t work, the pullout tab to close the drain felt like it was going to snap off in my hand. The pool was also really really tiny, which isn’t an issue but just in case anyone was wondering. At the start of our stay as well there were people outside banging on our window from the outside. I’ll probably never stay here again but if you need to as a stop to getting somewhere and out of necessity, it’s not the worst place to stay.

The room size was good. I didn't appreciate how the heat lamp was cut off and I felt like there wasn't enough lighting in the bathroom. The stopper for the bathtub didn't work either. The staff was very friendly so no issues there. I did not look at the pool so I cannot say how that was. They didn't have a store only vending machines which was a disappointment. Definitely having a store with a few snack items helps, especially since a lot of people don't carry cash anymore and you can just charge it to the room. The room was clean but there wasn't an outlet close to the desk. Most hotels I have stayed at have outlets on the desk lamps. I never wake up early enough for the free breakfast. All in all this wasn't a bad place to stay for the price.

Could only take one shower and it wasn’t really a shower, it was more like standing in a deep puddle of my own dirty water. Also, why wasn’t the pool open?!?!? The plant hung around the lobby was impressive 👍

Property advertised exercise room but it was filled with construction equipment and could not be used. Also no soap available for washing machines. VERY limited breakfast items and ALWAYS the same every day. Housekeeping service only every 3rd day and we were NOT told this on check on. They did accommodate our request for servce every other day. I did not check to see if this incurred additional charges.

It was without normal conveniences, like a microwave, ice on floors, windows that could open. The a/c was not working and it was hot. The fire alarms went off and we were in lobby while the firemen looked for cause.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn while traveling for a funeral locally. The hotel, lobby and rooms are fine, they appear to have newer carpeting in the corridors, nice solid doors, easy parking. But our bathroom door was difficult to close, like the hinges were broken. Our in room phone wasn’t working. But worst of all, in the morning we discovered that the shower didn’t work at all. And I mean absolutely no water came out of the faucet, it just twirled around uselessly, clearly stripped. We had to take sponge baths instead. We let them know at the front desk, but we were checking out so it was too late to do anything about it really. I’m not expecting anything glamorous at a hotel of this type, but I do expect for $200/night to be able to take a shower.

Room was clean as far as beds and towels. Needs maintenance for sure missing sheetrock,bathroom sink and tub don't drain properly Windowsill full of dead bags. Convenient to 395. Lots of restaurants, breakfast so so

Walked in and it smelt so bad of mold mixed with a very disgusting smell. Can not explain the stench but it was AWFUL. Went to rooms and floor felt like you were going to fall through it. There were several places that the floor was very very soft and felt unsafe to say the least. Mold on ceiling and very dirty. The courtyard was an entire disaster and FILTHY. Very unsafe with dirt, tons of the owners plants EVERYWHERE, grime, and VARMINT TRAPS in the courtyard. Looked more like a junkyard than a courtyard. My two year old grandson wanted to be outside and there was not a safe place to be outside with him due to the courtyard being not only unsafe for an adult but absolutely unsafe for a two year old to play with supervision of course. It was really gross and there were several intoxicated men that approached my daughter and I. We were scared and rushed back inside quickly. Staff was putting out the continental breakfast items around 11:30 pm for the next morning. Wanted yogurt and looked at several and realized they were expired by three weeks along with other food items. We stayed until I could find another hotel. Which we ended up staying at the Bellissimo Grande Foxwoods and it was AMAZING. Staff was so friendly at the Bellissimo and seemed to really enjoy working there. So clean and spotless! Food and drinks were superb. The waterfall in their courtyard just what we needed after all we had been through. Want a AMAZING hotel BELLISSIMO GRANDE FOXWOODS IS A PLACE FOR YOU!

Walking in the front entrance had a musty mold smell. When I arrived at my room it had stained sheets and there was hair on the bed. Walls and trim were in poor condition and the hallway had the musty smell as well. When I requested a refund the attendant tried to offer me to switch rooms but at that point I was too disgusted. I left and was able to find a better place to stay. I would have sooner slept in my car than there.

The staff was courteous, however the hotel was very old and dirty. While the Bathroom was clean, the carpet was filthy, and I was afraid to put my feet down on the floor. Even though the breakfast was free, my husband, who has low standards for food refused to eat there and we went to McDonald’s.

It was convenient to the location I was going to. Quiet inside considering it’s by the freeway.

We arrived to our room and it had an overpowering smell of cigarettes. It was so disgusting that we went to the grocery store and bought disinfectant and fragrant sprays. We also had to buy bug sprays because there was flies and fruit flies flying around. In the morning we realized the handle was broken in the shower/tub so we had no water. They switched us to another room. This room did not have a tobacco smell so it was better however the tub would not fill in this room. I have a back injury and take baths versus showers. All in all I would not come back to this hotel.

Beds are very hard. Appreciate the microwave and refrigerator in the room. Odd musty smell permeated the room.

The beds were hard as rock. No fan in bathroom. Had difficulty with air conditioner. Cleaners forgot to replace the shower curtain when they cleaned.

Room was clean and nice. Breakfast was very basic.. microwave egg, sausage biscuit, waffles, cereal, packaged danish, yogurt, juice.

Walk and a sign posted saying I would be charged an extra 2.50 on third party booking. Really!! I pay what I’m quoted deal with Expedia. Poor decision

Front desk clerk was very friendly and polite. We did have a couple of issues with our room but the staff was very accommodating and ensured the issue was resolved immediately. Overall it was a great stay and would stay there again.

After the front desk person rudely told me that Expedia had supposedly booked 2 rooms under my name, despite me having a regular confirmation email for one room, she told me I had to contact Expedia because the hotel could be charged fees if there was a mistake in the booking and that she "couldn't check me in" until I did. She finally agreed to check us in after going back and forth about the fact that there were no issues on my end and as far as I knew I had a prepaid room already booked--- but she also let us know about a hidden extra fee if you have a dog with you (there was nothing about this when I booked the room). When I saw the state of the room--- dirty, hair in the bathroom, a broken fan in the bathroom with exposed wiring, a horrible smell, and filthy wall to wall carpet --- my family and I decided to just leave and check out immediately and asked for a refund, as we had not stayed there at all. The hotel refused to answer Expedia's calls and 3 days later I found out they refused to refund us at all. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. NEVER STAY HERE

Although the surrounding area is a bit rundown. It has it's charm. The staff did an excellent job cleaning and helping me with any issues I faced. Quality inn would not be my first choice. But it's still a decent place to lodge at.

My room was nice and the property was very clean. The front desk clerk was helpful. I was able to have my dog stay with me for a reasonable charge. This location is very convenient to I-395 and the casinos.

Breakfast offered a poor choce of items. better go to a local restraunt for a breakfast. Also $2.50 charge if we made reservations??

Good location, convenient to gas, restaurants and food shopping..Very clean, and comfortable

My room was only cleaned once during my 4 day stay and I had to ask for that. There were stains on the couch, blanket and towels. There was no coffee or milk at 9:30 am during the continental breakfast. But on a positive note, I felt safe and slept well.

1. The electrical outlets were looked dangerous, cracked with many connections into one port. 2. The bedspread was stained. I took pics and showed it to the main desk clerk, and he said sorry. 3. There was no hot water at night or in the morning. My shower was quick and cold!!! I complained and there’s clerk said that he couldn’t do anything about it. 4. There were patches in the walls, from repairs that were falling off. There was a spider on the ceiling. The complimentary breakfast was mediocre, with premade breakfast sandwiches, cereal, and some wrapped pastries. 5. I tried to contact the main manager several times, on Sunday, May 4, talked with him once but the connection was terrible. When I tried to talk later, he was unavailable.
