First, The Parking was Horrible! The Hotel Had Events going on and Reserved all the Good Close to the entrance parking for each event not its paying staying there guest! This was both nights I stayed. Next, they have done a Nice Job Remodeling, Floors are nice, lobby area upgraded, but still no working Ice or vending machines on multiple floors! My first Night My So call Luxury Room Junior King Suite had No access to Basic TV Channels my first entire night (Friday). Hotel Maintenance tried for an hour to figure it but couldn't. Gave up after midnight. Finally Saturday morning it was fixed. The Breakfast buffet was okay, but ended way to early 9:30 daily especially on the weekends. Desk Staff were not to Friendly. When I checked out, No ask of how was your stay? Just took my keys and said you're good. Like I said some nice upgrades in the remodeling but some of is over the top and looks like the white house Oval office with lots of Gold nick nacks everywhere! The Elevator smelled nice. The Refrigerator in My room didn’t keep anything cold. Paying for having that and a microwave was extra but didn't pan out usage wise. Definitely Not a Great Stay this time...

The Staff was Great upon my arrival. The Renovations look Great, but Still No Working Ice Machines on multiple floors! All that money on new floors, furniture and decor, but can't get working Ice Machines kinda mutes the Decorum. I'll Be back next week for another stay. The Location is Ideal! Cost Is Very Reasonable too.

Hotel was nice, good parking, the rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. BUT!! There were no microwaves in the entire hotel So no way to heat up your food. And when I asked about the microwave they told me that there was a IHOP restaurant next door. AND the worst kicker they didn't even offer any kind of breakfast. I stayed there a full week and only once did house keeping do my room, even when I asked the front desk to have my room cleaned No one showed.

We had to park far away and walk to the hotel. There was party going on past mid night on Saturday and another event on Sunday. On both days the party guests took all parking and the guests staying in hotel had to find parking far away. There was so much noise and screaming from the rooms next to us. There were 3 families staying in 2 rooms next to us and 1 opposite side. Kids were running from 1 room to other and banging doors. Only after we complained to reception, it stopped. There is no way to contact the front desk by phone. We had to go in person to the desk at 12 in the night! to complain.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The front deask staff was not friendly at all nor were she helpful. The tv channels were limited and most of them were frozen for the two days wew were there. No microwave in the rooms. The ice machine on our floor did not work. Overall hotel was ok.

The room had visible mold on the ceiling, the refrigerator did not work and the tub liner was peeling. In addition, the desk was dirty and there was a noticeable odor. The staff did their best and I was able to get a refund but this place should not be used when in the area especially if they have health concerns.

In my room had bed bugs in it. They was coming out the pillows. I pulled her sheets back there was long hair all in my bed like they never change the bedding. And I spoke to management to another room is an apologize or anything. Horrible!

Front desk staff was very welcoming, professional and sweet. The room was disgusting, old and outdated. I found pubic hairs on my washcloths, long hairs in my sink and on my toilet immediately after check in. There was old food in the corner. The walls are stained, and the shower was broken. Its simply not a good hotel. Unfortunately I had my room changed only to have the 2nd room was just as bad as the first. Too bad the lack of care for the accommodations makes this place a dump.

Common areas maintained. My room - furniture dated. Looks like last upgrades were in the 80's. Tub was not clean. Beer can from last guest still left in window ceil. Bed frame on top chipped. Cabinets & drawers needs to varnished but overall room needs to be remodeled. Door didn't close all the way so you had to assure that you close & place lock behind door.

When we first arrived in our room, we turned on the AC unit and then left to go to the mall for a few hours. By the time we returned, the AC was broken. We tried to call the front desk using the room phone and two different cell numbers, but we received no response. After that, we went downstairs but couldn’t find anyone at the front desk for about 15 to 20 minutes. Eventually, someone from maintenance arrived and replaced the entire unit. However, the TVs are extremely outdated, and everything we watched looked like it was on VHS. Aside from these two issues, everything else was fairly typical for a $100-a-night room. If you're looking for a place to just shower and sleep at a low price, then this hotel is perfect.

Room 510, the mattress on the bed closest to the door was TERRIBLY UNACCEPTABLE. I did not get any sleep on the first night. The mattress had a dip in the middle and I could feel the springs straight to my spine and upper shoulders. Terrible night. I had to share a SINGLE bed with my sister because of this terrible mattress. Also, our room was not cleaned the second day. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Quiet place. Outdated hotel. Need renovation. Hidden coffee machine. When you find it no coffee or tea bags. Fridge is empty. No complementary water bottles. My room wasn’t made up after the first night. No cable TV channels. Only regular antenna that all channels are blurry.

The rooms are under renovation. The carpet in the room was badly stained, as well as the furniture. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling of the shower area. The phone didn’t work. And the WiFi never worked on the floor I was staying.

Room had used floss picks left on the floor and seemed poorly constructed. It did what it needed to do, but needs a lot of updating. There was also an event that went until 2:30 AM which was very loud, to the point where the music was heard over the shower noise.

The atmosphere is okay and the breakfast was delicious and well managed. Renovation of some rooms still going on. The TV control needs to be standardized to a better quality one and the strength of the router needs improvement as there was loss of WiFi at upper room in the higher floor. No microwave in the room.

This hotel needs good receptionist, I talked one of them night he was trying to annoying and no answer and trying to avoid questions, I just called 5 minutes ago to clearify my twice credit card charge that still not clear btw, she was pretty rude tone and only suggetion wait for 7 business day ?? Go find a better place to stay

The staff at Metro Points did not appear to be focused on customer service. Simple requests were met with lack of information or indifference. They lacked even rudimentary information about the area near the hotel. Apparently, although it was not communicated at chick in, hotel guests must make an explicit request for maid service for their room. The property was in poor shape. Roadway paving was cracked and buckled. While the lobby was neat and clean, it was empty of amenities, a sign pointed to an abandoned restaurant. I was told that the computer in the business center (one computer?) was not working. In our room we found dirty drapes, a barely working refrigerator, the bath tub with peeling coating, and what appeared to be black mold in several places. After the indifferent response from the service personnel who arrived in response to our requests, we decided to return to our *prepaid* room each night and LEARN from our experience.

This hotel was lovely. The staff was super friendly and nice Was there for a concert and this hotel was close to the venue. Room was super clean and quiet, which was much appreciated after the concert!!! Check out was super easy too!!! Would stay here again and would recommend!!!

Metro Points is my go to hotel when staying in the DC area, however, I called the front desk stating I will be arriving late on my already paid for/existing reservation. The front desk rep informed me that it’s no problem & she will leave a note under my reservation. Well, when I arrived to check-in, much to my surprise, the oncoming front desk rep informed me she did read my note but cancelled my room because she thought I wasn’t coming. At first she told me I would have to wait an hour for the supervisor to rebook the room but somehow she was able to override the system & check me in. Not a pleasant situation but I’m glad the situation was handled without further delays.

There are many features upon on which to base a recommendation for this hotel, including price, good water pressure/heat, good air conditioning, good room size and proximity to a train station, and other nice things. However, desk staff, when checking in after 9pm, was indifferent and inarticulate. They had shut off the automatic entry door, making entry difficult with luggage, until the security guard reluctantly opened the outer doors before leaving us to fend for ourselves with the inner set. The very nice lobby is filled with beautiful bouquets of flowers that, while lovely, permeated the room with a strongly cloying scent, too strong to enjoy. At the room (weirdly, the rooms are not numbered consecutively), our keycards worked well. Inside the room, the only thing lumpier than the mattress was the floor under the ancient, sticky carpet. Every bit of furniture appeared to pre-date the Reagan administration. Even the desk covering was embossed, showing the identity of another hotel at the capitol, that has probably been gone for decades. We ran out of tissues within a day, and no one at the desk would pick up the phone. Predicting that, I opened the toilet tank in order to adjust the non-operating flush handle. It flushed after I made the adjustment, but wouldn’t shut off after flushing. If price and this location work for you, this place is adequate. But, if you’re accustomed to more contemporary accommodations and a responsive staff, pay more and stay elsewhere.

The receptionist decided to charge my card 350+ when I already booked the hotel for 230. Never asked me anything, actually, she said absolutely nothing but had attitude towards me. I had to go back down when I realized the charge and she completely ignored me. Her boss "reversed" the charges. It took five days to get my mony back. There are people who wouldn't be able to buy food or survive if they dont have a spare 350. That includes me on certain weeks. This wasn't an accident, it was hate. I could understand it as a mistake if she had even the slightest amount of humility but she didn't. No apologies or even an excuse. I dont want to do business with a company who allows things like this to happen.

This is a very decent property with a lot provided to make a stay very decent for very reasonable prices. However it is a bit of distance from New Carrollton Station and the area does get unsafe at night but there's great amenities also near the hotel too for food and shopping.

Clean, spacious and comfortable room. I stayed in upper level and didn’t hear much of the hight way traffic noise. It is close to shopping and eating places but quite far from the city center. It took me about 30 min to drive from the National mall area during working hours with no traffic.

Had to spend one night while some work was done on my house. This is a perfectly adequate basic hotel. Not a "destination", no restaurant or bar or pool or anything fancy. Not even coffee makers or microwaves. It was clean, the beds and pillows comfortable, enough towels, staff friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep and shower, this works fine.

Great value and the service was super friendly. Room was a little outdated (iPod speaker clock😂) but was clean and functional. The staff was great and there are a couple different restaurants attached which is super convenient. Free parking and nice access to the city.
