Listennnnnn!!! This was the absolutely worst experience ever!!! I have been traveling to Virginia Beach every year and stayed at various hotels, this one topped the cake for horrible! First they lied when I made my reservation and said we would be on the 8th floor which would have been a larger room, only to find not so. Then the TV didn't work, we had to beg for clean towels all day, the snack machine no snacks, the front desk staff needs CS training 101. The luggage carts halfed way work. The only thing good with the hotel was the hot water and the location. I know they're renovating, but like I shared with the manager, you should not have opened this hotel at all. However, I was able to address my concerns and was able to get 15% back from my room.

First the front disk day shift person young skinny girl has a negative attitude. Don't give a full details and have a non pleasant tone of voice when she's talking to us. Second the room was not fully clean specifically the bathroom and corner of the room. The microwave was so old that I was scared to use it because you can see the metal inside the microwave. The mattress don't have any mattress covers protector to prevent any stains, its just the fitted sheets. When we remove the fitted sheets to check the mattress, they are filty disgusting has a lot of stains on it. The hallways the walls need a serious works. The paint of the walls are falling its dirty and insane ugly looking needs a lot of work to do. Third we don't have a running water on that day and we called the front desk person and thats time the front desk person told us that they are doing some work. We have to wait until the water come. The hotel failure to informed the customer that water stop for a while due to some repairs. We ask to borrow for a hair dryer 3x before they come, but they give us the non working hair dryer. We called again, this time it's the shift lady with a very positive attitude and she give us a working hair dryer. All the bedding sheets and towels are all old and need to replace. All in all my experience in this hotel are negative starting with negative attitude day shift front desk person.

There were no towels, no soap and no toilet paper when we checked in. When we went to call the front desk to let them know, the phone didn’t even work so I went downstairs myself and told them and they said that they would send housekeeping. well, 40 minutes later nothing had arrived so I had to go back down and get the towels and soap myself, and I had to take toilet paper from the public restroom until they found some for us.

As we were on a 3 week road trip, we didn't know where our next stop would be, therefore made the reservation shortly before arriving. Upon check in, the front desk folks were more interested in conversing with each other instead of greeting me. Once I was acknowledged, I was given the key and we went to our room to change so we could head to the beach for a few hours. Upon returning, we went to the parking lot to store our chairs and saw that our car had a hit and run. I went to the front desk to report and asked if they have cameras, which they DO NOT. The girl did not know what to do, so she called the Manager who in turn told her they can't do anything, but we should call the non-emergency Police number to report it. We waited an hour for the Police to "never show up", they just called to take the info. Feeling defeated, we went to our room to shower before dinner and found we had no hand towels, washcloths or bath mat so I took two pillowcases off the bed to use for a hand towel & bath mat. The shower & sink had hair in it and was dirty, there was a hole in the ceiling, the bathroom door had dirty handprints all over it and the toilet was worn out. The patio door curtains were a mess and the step up/down out of the patio door is very steep, the glass was filthy and neither lock worked therefore our items were not secure when we went to dinner. The ice machine didn't work and the walls & carpet were in terrible condition at the elevator. Only nice thing was the view.
