Always love to stay at this hotel when we are in town. Front desk staff is always friendly. The facilities including the pool and exercise room are clean and easily accessible. The buffet breakfast offers so many choices from cereals to sausage and eggs. They even offered carnitas, tortillas and sausage. The employees were so nice as well. They work so hard to ensure there is plenty of food on a very busy morning. You can tell this hotel is very well managed and staff cares about the guests.

When we arrived at the hotel, the exterior, facilities, and room interior were different from the pictures. The pool is tiny, and not sure if the water pump is running because the water does not look clear Our room has a moldy smell, but we think it's OK since it's gone after the AC runs. The furniture is kinda rundown, like the sofa and the chairs are sunken in like old grandma furniture. Our dishwasher is not working, and after a few attempts, I was asked to troubleshoot by myself, with no in-house engineer. We ended up in another room the next day, which is weird, as it looks newer than our previous room. But again the bathroom shower doesn't work properly. The faucet and the head shower run at the same time, no matter whether I pull or push the knob on the faucet. Also, we found dirt, crumbs, or hair a couple of times after the room was cleaned when we got back. We cut short our stay and moved to a different hotel since we are traveling with a baby.

Our stay here was very good! The only thing I could say is there was nothing saying that the hotel was doing construction on the outside of the building. It was unfortunate that there was plastic over our windows the whole time so we never got to look out our windows. You can definitely tell that the inside is dated because there’s scratches/ holes on all the furniture & on some walls. But overall it was a great stay!

Stayed here with the family for our Legoland trip. Hotel is very clean. The pool is small but perfect for families with kids. The free breakfast is great! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Pros: beautiful area of Carlsbad near municipal airport, very safe, very quiet. Pool was clean and warm enough to enjoy. Fairly good breakfast variety. Full fridge in our suite. Comfortable beds. Check out time 12 noon. Cons: murky jacuzzi (would not get in), hotel is very large so lots of walking and crowded breakfast. Hotel allows pets so a barking dog in the next room kept my husband awake (he was sleeping on the couch). Sofa bed terribly uncomfortable for an adult. No oven in kitchen, cooktop only, so couldn't toast the garlic bread we brought with our meal. Bare bones cooking utensils. People (staff?) smoking pot outside the exit near our room. Exact same breakfast offerings both days we were there.

The breakfast was great! The staff was friendly. My only disappointment was with the condition of the pool. I used the pool and jacuzzi the last two days of my trip. The pool was fine, but the jacuzzi was Luke warm the first day. The second day I also used the pool and jacuzzi, but the second day the pool and the jacuzzi were the same temperature. There were also no towels at the pool on my second day.

This hotel is very run down and in terrible condition. There was stains all over the carpeting through out the hotel, including in our room. The shower head was leaking and spraying water everywhere. There was stain of things (?) on the walls that could have just been cleaned off that were not. The furniture was all dinged up and in bad shape. The worst part is it had a very musty/moldy smell in the room. The beds were comfortable and there was one person at the front desk who was very nice and that helped with the stars on this.

This property would be 1000 times better if they got rid of the old disgusting nasty carpet and replaced it with hard laminate. The floor is filthy. Our socks were black from walking on it and our poor baby crawled all over it. Even the hallway carpets were gross. Also the couch and the dining chairs should be wipeable material. Its about cleanliness those things could be easily wiped down. Also our coffee pot had luttle chunks of who knows what. It was okay but prolly wont stay here again. Oh yeah the ac was hyperactive and kept us up at night. Just loud. Yeah not too great 😕

It is a good property for family as it is one bed rooms suites. But if you looking for somewhere not clean, please do not stay here. Stains in the kitchen, bugs in the room and bathtub. We cannot even shower because of bugs and drain.

Excellent staff, great breakfast, well maintained facilities. Downside - the sofa bed was a torture machine. After 2 nights of pain, just kept it folded and slept on the unopened sofa. Might be ok for kids, but not for adults. Location is a bit isolated, but access to amenities isn't difficult.

The first room we were given at the farthest away from the front desk had a TV that did not work. Tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. Had to grab our belongings and hike back to the front desk. Second room which was above the room we had initially been assigned had another TV that didn't work. .We were given a third room and in the middle of the night the bathroom floor was flooded and my husband almost fell. The sprinkler head was leaking

The location of the hotel was ideal. The property itself was satisfactory. Our room was dated and wear and tear was very apparent especially the sofa bed. The sofa was ripped and very uncomfortable. The sofa bed mattress was paper thin you can feel all the springs and bars. We felt it was not safe for our children to use so they had the beds in the bedroom. There was not enough towels. There were four towels for a family of six. There were ants in the kitchen and we killed a few baby spiders on the bed. We thought having a kitchenette would be an advantage, but we didn’t even use it after we tried to boil some water for our ramen. The water wouldn’t boil. It was pointless. The complimentary breakfast was great, but felt the timeframe was not the best. After a long day at the parks, it’s hard to get up at 6am.

My tvs and the volume weren't working on either tv. Maintenance had to come to get the TV to work and the volume. The door to the pool next to my room was locked even though the pool was opened. Room smelled very musty. Overhead light wouldn't turn on with switch only fan. Staff was nice

Sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable, and it is impossible to sleep on it. When you lying down on the bed, you can feel every single spring. Staff was able to find a topper to put on top. Unfortunately, the topper was not the right size. They only have a twin size or king size topper. Very disappointed! This is supposed to be a suite to sleep five people...

Fantastic stay for my extended family. We had the 2 king suite. There was plenty of community space and then privacy in separate bedrooms. Our room was clean and well supplied. Breakfast was great with freshly cooked items.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights with my family. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with the kids. Although the pull-out sofa bed had a spring mattress we didn’t like, the staff promptly offered a new room. When the mattress was the same, they went above and beyond by providing two mattress toppers and additional blankets, and even changed the mattress the next morning. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the overall service was impressive. My only complaint is that I wish they used a different type of sofa bed. Overall, it was a pleasant stay thanks to the attentive staff.

Bed was so uncomfortable- the head part was tilting backwards. Couldn't wait to leave. Room service only on request- I waited for towels, pillows and t/p for over an hour. Just not what I was expecting

The front desk was inviting and answered all questions. The room was roomy, clean, arranged well, kitchenette had whatever you may need if used, Bathroom and shower clean. Towels smelled fresh, yep, we smelled them. :). Beds were sleep ready. Slept well, a take me home type mattress. Quiet rooms. did'nt notice other noises. The 6-9 am M-F breakfast was on point for the get up and go person. Hours change for weekends. Parking is accessible Hotel in good area.

Very nice stay overall, the room was great. Breakfast was good, a great thing to not have to worry about with kiddos. I could hear our neighbors pretty well at night but it didn’t bother me, our kids cried at times and were full of energy so I’m sure people heard us too. Great staff too, my husband lost his wallet in the hotel and thankfully they found it and returned it, very thankful for that. Great overall stay!

The staff was quite unfriendly. The lady with glasses who was on duty on Thanksgiving Eve was cold, unsmiling, and not helpful at all. If she continues to work there, I definitely won’t stay at this hotel again. Additionally, the hotel charges $15 per night for parking, while the Hampton Inn in the same parking lot offers free parking — which is extremely annoying

There was only one narrow entrance to both Hampton Inn and Homewood Suite (next to each other) that you have to pass by a self-storage company. Thankfully it wasn't very busy. Breakfast however was very limited and disappointing. There was no breakfast meat. There were eggs, biscuit and gravy and cereal. One of the worst breakfast we have had from a Hilton brand. I don't think we will ever book at a Homewood Suite again if that is all they will provide for breakfast.

Lovely hotel, staff was good, rooms nice, neat and spacious. I stayed on the 1st floor nearby the front desk and meeting room, there was a large event one night (music, food, lots of people) that utilized the meeting room and I did not hear them out all unless I was near the room and the doors were open. Breakfast was a little disappointing, when items ran out that was it for the day. Staff tried to put out alternatives but could not do so for all entrées.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The rooms were incredibly spacious, which was a welcome change from cramped city hotels. Having two TVs was a fantastic bonus – no more arguing over what to watch! But the real highlight was the breakfast. They had a fantastic spread, and I especially loved the overnight oats and the tortillas with a variety of meat fillings. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfortable accommodations and a delicious breakfast.

The breakfast is TOP NOTCH. Quality and variety Beats Hyatt House, Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn. Suite is comfortable and par for the course. We will look for Homewood first.

The room was clean and well appointed with kitchenware. I reported a few things to the front desk like dead batteries in one of the tv remotes, a detached soap dispenser in the shower, a missing sheer curtain on a window and a hanging light bulb in the full sized fridge. Loved that the fridge was full sized. All items were repaired that same day except we didn’t get the sheer for the window facing the parking lot. That was a bummer since it’s “hello people” or the black out curtain. The breakfast was really good each day. Special fresh Mexican dishes like carnitas and tortillas with salsa, crema, etc. in addition to the standard waffles, sweet rolls, fruit, scrambled eggs. They even had chicken sausage and seasoned potatoes. Breakfast was a big step up from what I’m used to at other hotels.

Clean, comfortable and affordable. Everyone was polite and helpful. One employee who we think went above and beyond; The lady who works the breakfast bar, she was amazing, all by herself too. She was everywhere, cleaning tables, resupplying the food items, etc.
