The property is nice, the onsen is a terrific feature and the staff were excellent and helpful with our many questions for inbound/outbound travel. However, for upwards of $400 per night, the dining options were rather basic and, given the hotel's somewhat remote location, the sporadic shuttle schedule and drop-off locations made the ski resorts somewhat of a challenge to reach.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and overall amazing property! The amenities were wonderful! There are both private and shared onsens you can take advantage of, complimentary happy hour drinks and snacks, massage chairs, and a complimentary shuttle that you can reserve spots on to take you through the town and slopes!

The breakfast was wonderful. Something for everyone. Also the daily outdoor winter lunch was very good too. One night we had the Chef’s dinner and it really was excellent. No point arriving before your room is ready because there is literally nothing to do, even though the room may be ready, you can’t have it till 3pm.

This property was beautiful and very clean. Staff are super friendly and accomodating. It is a bit out the way from main areas of Hakuba. However, the hotel does have a shuttle bus, only on a limited schedule though.

Located in Hakuba, Hotel Sierra Resort Hakuba is in a rural area and in the mountains. Tsugaike Ski Resort and Hakuba Iwatake Ski Resort are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda. Hakuba Norikura Onsen Ski Resort and Happo-one Adam Gondola are two other places to visit that come recommended. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including skiing.
