Days Inn by Wyndham Riverside Tyler Mall

I will be calling Expedia about a refund. This place was a junk yard. The office won't open the front door because of the homeless sleeping in the covered parking area. the ice machine was broken and looked to be so for weeks. Strange man walking around the property and was not sure that the elevator was safe. we left and went down the street to a lovely Inn.

I was leaving hospital and unexpectedly needed to stay nearby for 2 nights. Ad said breakfast was served. Breakfast was a granola bar. We asked for more coffee for room. None available at front desk. No Wi-Fi in room and we needed to work but I was unable. People sleeping in parking lot in cars. Ice machine does not work. I am 80 and bed too high for me to get in. No footstool available. Room had cockroaches. Should get refund. Would have left after 1 night but I had nowhere to go between 11 and when I could check in to another hotel at 4.

The website said breakfast was included, it wasn’t. We were told the ice machine was on the first floor. When I went to get ice, there was an “out of order” sign on it. The girl at the desk said that it’s broken down, and they haven’t fixed it yet, I just would have to go get ice from elsewhere. Unbelievably rude! When my husband asked her why she directed us to a non-working ice machine, she lied and said she didn’t know. My husband reminded her that she told us about the delay in fixing the machine, so she did know about the situation. Her name is Angela by the way. Let me tell you about the room. Cigarette burns on the bedcover and bedsheet, dirty bedsheet, A/C in the room is leaking water on the floor. The toilet is filthy, shower tub is dirty, still hairs on it. Door a mess. Tape around the bathroom door and the bedroom ceiling. Please look at all the attached photos. Yes, you have reasonable prices, but this much compromise is too much.

Vending machines were inoperable. Otherwise, staff/checkin were efficient and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was a dream-extremely comfortable.

When checking in, after getting my CREDIT card information, the clerk wanted $100 (cash only) deposit to spend the night. He had nothing in writing, no prewarning, just demanded the cash before he would give me the room key. I refused to pay this extortion, and canceled the booking, at which point it was an arguement for me to get a paper printed that said it was canceled. The motel is nice enough, but the help wanted to shake me down $100 more to get to use it. Never spent the night. How do you give negative stars?

The stay was good!! Unfortunately the hotel has homeless people staying in the property!! When you check in the lobby is closed ice machine doesn’t work and a homeless man pulled ice out of the machine like it was normal. Me and my friend stayed a night and I wouldn’t stay anymore nights

The beds were comfortable and adequate for a one-night stay. No access to the lobby, all transactions are through a walk-up window.

Room was about what you would expect for the price. Parking was abundant and free, room was quiet. Pillows were terrible, matresses OK, shower leaked badly all night, desk chair was uncomfortable. Super cheap soap and shampoo in a ketchup type packet. Lobby locked, had to register through a window, no breakfast. TV had good number of channels, though, and wi-fi was pretty good.

There is no lobby. Checking in and out outside window. The people their looks like its homeless residents. Bathroom was dirty. Change the room, air conditioner was not working. Linens one of bed was dirty. No iron in the room. No answer on phone. Overall our experience was bad. If you are traveling with family please please don't book this hotel.

Rooms were clean. The Property and building need reconditioning. The stair hand rail is very loose and ready to fall off. The elevator is very dirty. Clean and paint it. Coffee and a small sweet bar for breakfast is very sad. You need to have a clean eating area and some hot breakfast ! Stop charging $100 deposit in advance. You already have my CC if needed !.

I was awakened by a cockroach, it was in the bed!!! I had to checkout in the middle of the night. I reported a water leak twice that was not attended to. Too much outside activity in the middle of the night. My feet were black from walking barefoot on the floor...Not happy, waiting for refund...

They had bed bugs

I ended up in the hospital with bedbugs and lice.on a training programs for my job everything that looks good online be careful some places have creepy crawlers.im still out of work sick 😫 my lawyer working overtime on a situation management beeb coveting up for a while putting people life in dangerous health situations

Dirty, gross, bugs all over the room. Car alarms going off all night. Housekeeping walked in without knocking.

It was dirty smelly had a cockroach in the bathtub, and lots of ghetto people and homeless in the motel, very bad experience I will never go there again!

You get what you pay for. The floors were dirty and there was several spots of old gum on the floors. The bathroom fan had been ripped out and only had a broken cover. The hotel room overall was dirty and rusted where ever there was metal. The noise came from the other patrons so the hotel cant really be blamed for that.

Honestly the grossest place I've ever been, I don't like to complain I hate writing reviews but there were smashed bugs on dirty walls in the room, bugs and roaches running around in the room and the bedding looked dirty, I couldn't get out of there fast enough, the girl at the desk was helpful and helped get refunded and checked out, only on the property for 10 min at most before leaving and finding somewhere else to stay

Found roaches in bathroom and one crawling the floor in main room. There is a lot of homeless in the surrounding areas and very active late at night. This hotel has tons of potential but needs to clean serious house.

Im out of work with bedbugs and lice

There was hair all in our bed and our shower and floor. The bed cover had cigarette burns. The TV was small. There was little decor. Only one night stand. No lamp, only overhead lights. Very poor property, got less than what I paid for. I at least expect cleanliness to be a priority

This hotel took a very long time for us to check in. And then when I got in the elevator to go to my room on the second floor, it smelled disgusting like urine and feces upon getting to the room the door would not open, and I tried numerous times went back down to the front desk and was told to just push really hard. It took 10 minutes to open the door And then we were only given two towels. I asked for extra towels and was brought one. The Wi-Fi would not connect and kept saying invalid. And there was no hot water for the entire stay. It only got lukewarm so I could barely take a shower.

Lots of drug addicts, the area smelled like pee, the elevator smelled like pee, they were constantly being graffitied , the cleaning staff were nice and helpful, the concierge staff were nice except for the indian guy. We had a no hot water our entire stay, the tv stayed on 99 for some reason, the wifi in our room didnt work, constant noise from the homeless/meth addicts.

Overall condition was poor! The bathroom and sink area appeared clean. Everything else furniture, and floors were sticky and clicked as you walked around. Night stands also were sticky to touch. I'm guessing they were wiped down without a separate rinse. Room advertised "as non-smoking"but it smelled smokey. TV did work ok. Most serious was the smoke alarm had been removed from ceiling above bed. I noticed the missing smoke alarm while resting before sleeping. When I looked for some writing paper I found the missing part of the smoke alarm in the top drawer of the chest. On hotel.com facility says breakfast and a picture accompanies the Internet ad. When I inquired, a small typewritten note taped up on the glass of the check in window days "no breakfast" was pointed out to me. Noisy all night until about 4 am. Someone kept knocking on my door during the night asking if 'mickey" was there. At morning departure, I Ieft my key card at the motel office window. No one in office with sign, back in ten minutes. Well I packed my car and in 15 minutes still no one in office. Outside my room door, room 307, the hallways were trash littered.Near the freight elevator to ground level someone had thrown-up. I forgot to mention bed covers had multiple burn holes. I was attending a conference at Sierra University a few miles away on Saturday and this motel was second closest to conference location. My first choice Hampton was sold out. Worst by far of any hotel I've stayed in thru Hotels.co

The place needs alot of work done. I had to change from my first room because it had cigarette burns in the blanket and smelled like cigarettes. Once i got the second room the TV wasnt working the clerk from the front desk had to fix it . The shower water never got hot so i took a cold shower. I wouldn’t book another stay their

On the positive side, my bed and pillow were comfortable. Other than that, walkways and concrete areas on the property are dirty and desperately in need of a power wash. Property and room are dilapidated. Paint peeling, cigarette butts on stairwell, hole in curtain of room. In general, very disheveled appearance. The cost for a room should not exceed $60-70 per night, given its appearance and lack of upkeep. Big time overhaul and upkeep is needed.

The price reflects what you pay for. Its a place to sleep but the area was sketchy to say the least. The bath room shower had no way to engage the shower head.

Dingy, Tub had paint in it, toilet seat was scratched up and discolored, oats under the bed, the smoke detector was removed, the front door had no doorjam style lock, it was a chain that had been removed, a cigarette burn in the window shades, a remote that fell apart in my hands for at leat the tv and fridge to work... Would not reccomend for even a lower price without major renovations

There were no mirrors, iron and the Wi-Fi had a weak signal. When I called the front desk about the Wi-Fi they were unwilling to do anything about it.

Property shows signs of aging; doors did not close tightly, some floor issues, bathtub old and not cleaned well.

The bathroom needed serious maintenance. The was graffiti over door, broken tile on the floor, shower head didnt adjust, when shower was activated, the spout filled tub, toilet paper holder wasnt secure, the tub had ben painted with wrong paint which made the tub nasty, the vent did not work at all! The TV changed channels and volume by itself as well as cranked volume after an hour was at full blast The remote didnt work most of the time. The vending machine wasnt readable to purchase snacks The manger said she didnt have disabled rooms and stuck me at the end of the 3rd floor hallway. Im disabled so it was burdensome for me. The breakfast was non existent. No breakfast at all or coffee The elevator buttons had been burnt with something. We were very pissed by the 2nd day because of no money to go something else!

Clean room. The maids are very sweet and the gals and guys in the office were very cool and nice.

The staff is awesome

The staff at this property is top notch. They have a difficult job and do their best to keep the property clean . I wasn’t sure what to expect , I am glad I chose to stay here . They are true to their word and return your deposit.

Where to start… as we arrived to check in it took about 30 minutes for the guy in front of me and he still didn’t check in. He said the system was not working. So we left, got food and came back about an hour later. Still took over 20 minutes to check in with no one in line. Once we checked in, we were approached by some lady staying in one of the rooms to buy puppies. No thanks, don’t want your puppy mill puppies. There were multiple people walking around with large amounts of cash in their hands and holding satchel type bags. I’m assuming selling drugs. Also The amount of long term stay residents was unusual, as well as the people out smoking and talking outside the hallways at all hours of the day and night. Our non smoking room had cigarette burns all over the sheets, the flooring was damaged and peeling up. The towels are permanently stained, there were stains on the walls and cracks in the bathtub. Found no less than 3 cockroaches in the room during the 2 nights we stayed there. 1 star, would not recommend.

Room doors repeatedly did not open with electronic keys and they tried to blame. No regular coffee one am and the helpful desk clerk said we ha have decaf. Zero stars. Also found homeless guy sleeping on stairs last night. Last renovated in the 90s.

Very clean and nice customer service

I walk out in my 2nd night because the way the handle my check inn in first day which the person in charge in registration is rude and doesn’t know about what’s going on the hotel accommodation. He give me a key me for room which is somebody already inside which located in 3rd floor i go down and till him there’s already someone inside and still he can give the key and insisted the room is vacant so go up and again use the key and somebody inside see something whose there this room is already accommodated. So he give me another room but another happen in 2nd night when my partner back to our room after to have sleep because where exhausted all day and then when i used my it doesn’t work i go to the registrations and the same person that my key of room it doesn’t work and he give me new key when go up in 3rd floor the it doesn’t work and exhausted of going up and thats why i dicided to walk out at that night and back to our home. Is really disappointing trip to me

Close to freeway and shopping center

It was a good property and huddles lot of stores and it’s walkable safe distance from the mall and anywhere else.

All along the area where this motel is and others in same location, are problems with drugs and homelessness. If I had a family, I would never bring them here. The establishment is unwilling to make any improvements to an old building and grounds. People sleep in their cars and throw trash all over. Drug dealers come and stay here so there’s a constant flow of people wandering the premises, knocking on doors at all hours. Breakfast?? is coffee. The housekeepers are nice and they are worked hard. The physical location was the best, minus the homeless.

Need a place to stay in town for the night. We stayed on a weekend night. The check in was easy and the clerk was nice. The room was easy to find and access. The exterior environment was not exceptionally active for the day of the week and location. It's near alot of shopping and dining so not quite city but a step or two below. Around ten it quieted down. I didn't feel unsafe but I would be lying if I said there wasn't possibly some "shady" activities. Nothing to signal alarms about. Inside the room was fine. Air conditioner worked, no thick odors, looked as if it was cleaned, beds made linens cleaned, tv, wifi, large bathroom counter and mirror. The toilet and shower had a door to separate. This was the only area that stood out as a negative. The cleaning was ok but due to chips in paints dents on door and the door not shutting properly it gave a feeling of not so clean. I think it was mostly a maintenance issue though. I've stayed here three times and it is consistent. For the price and location I'd say it's a good hotel.

Nice hotel directly across from the Tyler mall, the galleria. Plenty of places to shop & eat! The hotel was nice, the room was nice but I didn't like the tile. I wld rather have carpet in my room!! Also A LOT of homeless people but they keep to themselves for the most part so no big deal. At night the hotel lights up blue and we LOVED it!! Lol ... Came to visit my mom at olivewood memorial cemetery so it was nice that she was just right down the street!! Was able to visit her multiple times🤗🤗

Noise all night long with people going in and out, talking, slamming doors. Possibly long term weekly or monthly renters. Did not feel safe. Room was clean but everything in it was old and broken.

The location is strategic near shopping mall and restaurants.

This hotel shows breakfast included but it is a lie , also price to high , carpet and room stinks!!

The place looks nothing like the photos on the advertisement very old kind of rundown there is no breakfast at all which is one of the reasons why I tried to book the room so yeah it was kind of it was very disappointing

The room was a HELL HOLE.Bed spread with holes and burn holes. Bathtub paint was chipping and flaking off. Burn mark on tub. Television remote didn[t work. Had to plug and un plug the electrity to use the TV. Wood chipping all through out room. Window in room had not been washed in years. Said there was a ice machine, yes, but went and found out it didn't make ice. Called front desk what time breakfast was servicd. Front desk gave me a time and the next morning went to eat and was told "they don't serve breakfast" even through they advertise it.From the looks of what people hang around it, it looks like young women are there to service. So bad we left and didn't use our 2nd night of the reservation. We grade this hotel a 0. The pool looked like it was kept up. The hotel is hurting the good name of Days Inn by Wyndham. Your picture of the from desk is not so. The door is locked and room mustly empty. They talk to you via a window with glass.

False information was given online that breakfast 6-9a. No breakfast was served.

Mostly chose this motel for the “included” breakfast but we found out when we checked in No breakfast due to Covid (Covid is pretty much over). Were not offered a discount on room for this. Bathtub was filthy, prior tenants left chicken and other food and drink in the refrigerator which did not get cleaned out, refrigerator was frosted over and didn’t cool. Mattresses were terrible. Towels were scratchy. Homeless people coming in and out of parking lot. Kids running above us until 1 a.m.

The place was ok staff was ok. The breakfast was a granola bar from Costco and coffee. Coffee you can get in your room. Wyndham needs to set a criteria for the hotel and adjust for improvements.

Wifi not working and no breakfast as advertised in listing

Arrived to the hotel where a dozen was just loitering.Room door looked like someone tried to break in.The “on the go breakfast” was coffee and a granola bar,nothing like the picture(fruit,bagels and juice)on the website.My experience at the days inn was horrible,I’ll never go back
