Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rochester by IHG

The hotel is extremely well managed. The breakfast was extraordinary, fresh fruits, oatmeal, waffles, bagels. A laundry facility exists as well.Swimming pool is also well maintained. The whole family enjoyed the stay a lot.

The only thing we were unhappy with was the pool closed at 8 and most of the time we were not back in time to go into the pool

Clean, friendly and ample safe parking.

Went to the hotel for my daughers birthday so she could use the pool. The pool area was being renovated but there was still access to both pool and hot tub with little interference with the renovation. The place was clean the staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. Would definitely go again!

I was disappointed that the hot tub was not available and there was only one bath towel! Tiny bag of chips for 2$ is a little much as well.

I walked in and there was a very fowl smell in the entire hotel including the office, the pool was closed and looked like a swamp. I am requesting a refund because I didn’t even stay inemiatly left

The woman at the desk was very pleasant and personable during check in. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

This hotel was not clean. Our room was in horrible condition. Between people slamming the door next door, loud noisy from the highway , and an inefficient heating system, we got very little sleep. The 8.8 rating is simply inaccurate.

Comfy bed, pillows and linens. Very clean room. Nice breakfast buffet.

So the bed was wonderful but the in this room the charger part was broken and part of headbord was broken the floor was grosses carpet was coming up and it was loud and there was mold in the shower. I didnt like my stay in this room . When i stayed there before in a different room there was only one thing wrong with room there was mold in shower but quite and everything was great.

It was very dirty housekeeping left there own dirty empty soda bottles and never vacuumed didn't even wipe down bathroom

They guests in the room next to us fought all night, they banged on our window multiple times thinking it was their room. They fought outside our room. Had the cops there. They were drunk and swearing every other word in the pool area around children. Called front desk no answer! Let’s not even talk about our dirty comforter!

Great clean room!

Cleanliness could’ve been improved, could see areas where cleaning products had been sprayed and never wiped off. Staff were very nice and helpful. Would still recommend despite the cleanliness issue, not something that was detrimental to the stay.

The room was clean and very roomy. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very helpful and cordial.

If I could submit my photos here, I would because they speak for themselves. Bug infested, leftover hair from prior occupants, brown stains on sheets, absolutely disgusting place. Property manager and staff awful to deal with. Property manager is conflict avoidant and staff lies to your face. Wouldn't suggest my worst enemy to stay here.

Everything is fine with the staff, the hotel itself, but the noise woke me up multiple times, not just people and regular nosies but a very loud bang, every 5 minutes coming through the wall and when asked to switch rooms I was told there are none available. I even provided video with sound to show the level of disruption and nothing was done to fix the issue. Sucks when you got thr room, simply to get a good night sleep for the long day ahead. So, apart from not sleeping when that was my only reason for my stay, everything else is fine

Air conditioner in my room was loud and didn’t work

The hoon was clean. Since the pool was across from our room, we could smell the chlorine in the hall, but it did not make it into the room. Most importantly, they had plenty of plugs for my gadgets.

The amenities in the room we booked were what you would find in a Five Star hotel. Very modern with electronic facilities galore for charging up iPads, cell phones, etc.

We had a spacious and nice room. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We had a mini fridge and freezer with a coffee maker which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was amazing! Lots of great choices and everything was delicious.

Loud heaters

The room was very clean. Pillows were a bit soft and the noise from kids running back and forth til 10pm or so was not fun. By passed breakfast due to to too many people.

The customer service was good but the room had broken pieces on both the door going into the room and the bathroom door. There were also ants all over the floor. We didn't have any shampoo or toothpaste in our room. And the reservoir for the coffee machine was completely disgusting. I'm trying to add photos on here to show you the broken bathroom door and the broken doors at the entrance to our room but the app is now not letting me add the photos. Honestly both doors looked like somebody had kicked the doors in. The bathroom door is absolutely needs to be totally replaced.

The facilities were very good the only draw back was traffic noise from the near by highway and noise from the guests in an joining room who were noisy until 1AM. Ear plugs helped.

-The bedroom door, if closed with the slightest bit of pull would automatically lock. Leaving an infant in the room alone without anyone being able to get in. One of us headed downstairs for help and bumped into a hotel worker & they had absolutely no clue what to do. Just told us to keep trying…my dad was able to get it open but like what the heck?! That should have never been a thing and for it to have locked 3 more times is INSANE. Your own cleaner told us the door locks all the time when she came to help us open it when we were leaving. - The table was half broken and had someone else’s trash inside when we went to open it up into a lifted double table. It became stuck & ended up falling down and not reopening leaving us without out my keys or wallet... Eventually I got it open the next morning but my point is, it obviously had not been cleaned or checked prior to our stay. It needs to be fixed before someone get hurt. -As I was waiting for the door to get open, some female entered the room (assuming she works for the hotel, she didn't bother to introduce herself) & had the nerve to ask me if I smoked in the room (I’ve never been a smoker). I have stayed many times at your hotel & never once have I received a single complaint & always leave the room clean and picked up. By the way, might want to turn the chemicals down a notch on the pool. My youngest is currently at urgent care because her body broke out as well as my oldest face. Both horribly swollen and red.

A pipe burst while we were there. The whole building was flooded and we were being yelled at by management as we were checking in. The property was unsafe, dirty and it was a horrible trip.

I was extremely impressed with this hotel. The staff at check in, check out, and the breakfast staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. The room was accommodating. The room and the entire facility were clean with absolutely no issues at all.

They charged my card before I even checked in and declined my choice of card I used. They refused my service an I spent the night in my car With 3 kids that were tired and cold. And wouldn’t refund my money. So we had to stay in the car a waste the last of my gas In my car And my kids Argued about using only blanket and and cried.

The hotel itself is fine. It was the friendly staff that made our stay so pleasant. They were welcoming and helpful.

We checked in at 11pm on Thursday night and checked out on Friday before 10am. I worked an event at Pilots Cove Cafe about 30 minutes away and everything there was booked or too expensive and this seemed like a reasonable alternative. The halls all reeked of smoke and the room had an awful smell as well. The halls have all these weird hand printed Karen-like signs about wearing shoes and "Quiet Time"- this is a hotel, not day-care. I was exhausted after working an outdoor event in 100 degree weather and passed out immediately and was checked out by 10am. I now have an insane charge on my card for smoking. No smoking was done in this room. I called the hotel and still have not received a call back from the manager. My husband can be seen ON CAMERA in their smoking shack. I also know this because he woke me up every single time he left the room. The only smell in that room when we left was from the HUGE CRAP my husband blew up their bathroom with. Management refuses to speak to me. Staff was rude & accusatory. I'm too old and don't have time for this crap. This is a BLATANT SCAM- stay FAR away!!

Lack of hospitality

Excellent one night stay. One of the best I’ve had in quite some time. Easy access to Lake Winnipesaukee, White Mountains, sea coast and UNH. Shopping and dining across the street. Couldn’t do any better than this. Great breakfast, easy check in and out. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Nice location, petrol station next door and supermarket across road. Spacious rooms and friendly atmosphere.

Hotel was convenient to where we were attending a sporting event. Very Expensive for a one-night stay!!!

Travelled from Nova Scotia, stayed 3 nights , overall the hotel was very good , we really enjoyed the quiet location with shopping and food within walking distance . Thanks again .

Everything was walking distance from the hotel Toyota Dealership and Discount Car Rental Across the street from each other also easy access to Dining

The room was clean and and the staff very helpful. The bathroom was clean and the bathtub was like new. The breakfast was perfect, the eggs were hot, bacon was crispy. There was a good choice of cereals, muffins, juice, etc. We will return.

The room was very clean, I was really impressed with the room. We had more than enough towels and it really was spotless! The breakfast was just ok but the customer service was great. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

My husband is in a band and we were playing down the street. The lady at the front desk was super nice. The hotel was very very clean. The breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts. There was bacon and eggs, omelettes fresh pastries. They were cookies at the front desk. Bagels. Hot coffee and tea. 24 hours! The bed was super comfortable. Temperature was correct. Definitely enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was good. Breakfast could have been better. Same breakfast every day. Pancake machine was broken the whole time. More of a selection would have been nice. Time to remove carpet and upgrade to luxury vinyl plank flooring.
