CIT'HÔTEL LE DAV Clermont-Ferrand Centre

We never stayed in this hotel. We arrived 5 min after 8pm. Nobody open the door. We had to find another place to stay. Nobody contact us, nibody answered our messages.

We spent a week here. At first there was a problem with the a/c, but the staff changed our rooms so that was fine. The hotel offers breakfast but has no bar or restaurant, and no kettle/coffee-maker or fridge in the room. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, but the desk is mot manned 24 hours. Location is great---just off Place Jaude and very close to many eating places.

Easy access to the shops bars and restaurants, room was adequate but not sufficient hot water for two showers, there was no holder for shower head. Toilet tank kept on running non stop , the man at reception was extremely rude this morning, he should learn about other customers manners which are not rude but he perceives them as rude in his country of origin ( tapping on the desk to gain someone’s attention to check out, he was away in his little room and obviously interrupted him), the way he turned on us was Not acceptable, we were willing to come back to this hotel until check out time!

The hotel is situated in a pedestrian area, very hard to find but very convenient for shops and restaurants. Upon arrival we were asked to pay the amount we already paid by card again, now in cash: the desk employee explained that this was because Expedia or any other platform used the amount that it receives as a bond in case the guest doesn’t show up. Internet was said not to work so that was the reason payment could only take place in cash (but they dis know our details …) Expedia would credit the amount by bank to us. We refused to pay the amount twice (we showed proof of our digital payment) and the employee said we could go to the room and that her boss would contact us the next day. The room was clean, but VERY hot and airconditioning wasn’t functioning. We had the feeling that it wouldn’t be safe when fire were to break out. All in all, we left the tourist tax at the reception the next morning as we had to leave early. To date, nobody from the hotel has contacted us, but we would not go there again, since we didn’t feel welcome guests.
