Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Eau Claire North by IHG

Typically, I dread a hotel stays due to the uncomfortable beds. I was pleasantly surprised that the bed was comfortable, room was spacious and continental breakfast was decent. My only complaint is that I wish the breakfast would have lasted just 1/2 hour more on the weekend. Also, the hours for the poor were fabulous from 7A to 11P and the fitness center was 24 hours.

It was convenient for where we needed to be. Pool and hot tub were nice and functional. Staff was friendly. Breakfast included and edible. Beds comfortable. I like how they dispense shampoo and body wash in full size containers! Genius. Free wifi. Free parking. Pretty great stay!

100% yes it was a nice and relaxing time the room was wonderful the staff was helpful and the pool and hot tub was wonderful and fun and relaxing and the breakfast was wonderful hope to come back next year

The hot tub water was kinda dirty looking but the pool look clear and clean.

Overall everything was good! Only two bad things was that housekeeping came at 9am on the day we were checking out and we didn’t have to be out of the room until 11am. Made us feel rushed to get out of there. The other thing was the hot tub had a dark scum line all the way around it and it wasn’t that warm.

Great property. Hotel was clean, staff friendly. Pool was great and open until 11pm, which most hotels I stay at close at 10pm. I wouod stay again.

Clean, newer hotel. Small pool. The bathtub in our room did not work properly as the stopper was broken. Overall a good stay for the price.

When we checked into our room there was a mass quantity of bugs all over the ceiling and on the walls. The front desk person offered to switch our room but we found the exact same bug infestation in the second room as well. We decided to leave. Hotel management refused to refund our money.

The rooms were not the cleanest, there were pieces of food in the carpet from previous guest that has a lot of weight when comes to scoring a hotel. Also the floor by the check in desk was very dirty, it looked like hasn't been mopped in a whiles.

The staff because VERY AGRESSIVE with me after I told them I found a roach in my room. I have videos of when I was alive, when I killed it and left in on top of the sink. I let the staff know and one of them because VERY aggressive with me saying that I wanted a free room when I had already checked out AND PAYED IN FULL for my room. I never asked for a type of compensation or anything but he started screaming at me and telling me I brought the roach with me. UNACCEPTABLE

We stayed here for one night and would most definitely stay again. The hotel was conveniently located, very clean and the staff were very professional, and friendly. The free breakfast had great choices, the room was spacious and most importantly the entire property was very clean.

Room was very clean. Check in was quick and easy. Front desk agent was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Had a wide variety of choices, omelets sausages potatoes pancakes cereal yogurt juices coffee. Only wish there was more seating available. There must’ve been an event(party or wedding). And all the seating was taken, had to sit at a chair in the lobby with my plate on my lap. Check out on the tv was easy and convenient. I’d stay here again when I’m in the area.

Staff was good Air conditioning did not work

The place isn\'t a bad place however, upon our arrival we got checked in and went to our room. It was so humid the air was heavy. There is a sign that says wait 15 min for the room to cool down. We did and it did not. Now it was 93 degrees today. We mentioned to Ben that the room was still hot. They sent a female and male maintenance to our room. At this time they bypassed the AC from the wall unit to the actual unit to run non stop. They told us they had to do that to all the rooms. We were then asked to wait it out somemore. We went to the pool to give it time. We went back to our room and the hallways were cooler than the room. We asked to be switched to another room. Josie told us they didn’t have another room as they were all this way. We decided we were not going to stay due to no air conditioning. We webt downstairs and talked with Josie about this at 4:20pm and left at 4:30 pm. So at this point we have been at the property for 1.5 hrs as we checked in at 3pm. We stayed only because they asked to give it a chance. We talk to Ben the next morning and he says that he went to our room the next morning and the air was working fine yet the maintenance crew stated it was hot in our room. All the rooms were like this. He insults our intelligence with the whole 106 degree day. It was 93. We also traveled one block to the Hamptons and they have the same brand of air conditioners, "amana" and they work just fine. They told us they would not refund our money and charged us for day

The property manages temperature centrally, so there is no way to adjust your room temp. Overnight was freezing - and in the morning uncomfortably warm. Good thing they had thick comforters.

Room had no heat. Set the thermostat as high as 85 and was below 50 entire night

We had a quick one night stay. Check-in was a breeze and our room was great. Comfy beds, clean room and bathroom. Great options for breakfast.

This was overall a great stay! The only thing I want to mention is to make communication from front desk to housekeeping a little bit better? I had requested a later check out at 1pm and the front desk guy was great, said no problem. Really helped us too since we ran the half marathon and couldn’t get back until noon! But then housekeeping knocked on our doors at 1230 and then again at 1240. But we were almost out, but still would’ve been nice if they knew we were not leaving yet. Overall staff were so nice! From the front desk to the breakfast lady. Everything was great. Thank you!

We had a very pleasant one-night stay on June 8, 2023. Check-in was friendly and efficient, the lobby, pool area, and our room were all very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was wonderful and included many different breakfast items, including their delicious cinnamon rolls. Thank you!

Disappointing. Over priced. Front desk was unpleasant. Gabe me an attitude and aggravation about extending for an hour. Very noisy at night.

Several members of my family came in for my mother's celebration of life. We booked multiple suites and rooms together on the same floor. The hotel also booked up the other rooms for a hockey convention for pre teens and their parents. The teenagers where running through the halls, knocking on the doors and then running away. We went down to the front desk and informed them, one of the multiple teenagers standing there with his parents said, "waahh wahh" and rolled his eyes. Neither the staff nor the parents did anything. This went on all weekend!! On Saturday night the hockey parents where getting drunk in the open area of the lobby and the teens where running through the hotel, but at this point they where not only banging on our doors but where opening them and sticking there heads in. Again, we complained to the front desk. As we where doing so, a VERY drunk hockey dad wanted to physically fight. I am a 50 year old woman, 5 ft tall and this man was physically going to hit me. The front desk employees just stood there and did nothing. There where around 30 hockey parents, all drunk, surround myself and 4 family members wanting to fight. We had family in from multiple states, all grieving my mother's loss, and we where met with all of that. THE STAFF DID NOTHING TO STOP ANY OF THE BEHAVIOR NOR DID THEY APOLOGIZE. It became a very out of control drunken environment as soon as you walked into the lobby and nothing was done to stop it.

Property is quiet and convenient for those not spending time in Eau Claire but just passing through.

Great hotel on Eau Claire’s north side. Modern, clean interior as expected from a Holiday Inn Express. Quiet, tucked-away location and just 2–3 minutes from Kwik Trip, Walmart, and restaurants.

Easy to get to, and very quiet area

Excellent hotel but a bit in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive a few miles to get food.

Convenient location between two cities (Chippewa & Eau Claire). Hotel is located right off the highway, but did not hear traffic noises. VERY COMFORTABLE beds, made for a good nights rest. Nice full breakfast included with stay.

This stay was a pleasant surprise. It was clean, well kept and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was incredible! Fresh made omelettes, bacon, pancakes, hot cinnamon rolls … and Jackie (who was preparing the food and maintaining the breakfast area) was awesome! And the location was quite, yet convenient. Highly recommend!

A nice quiet stay. Convenient to both Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire. Shopping and dining options just across the highway with easy access. Plenty of options for breakfast but food could have been warmer.

This is a great place to stay! They had some good options for breakfast which I was super pleased with. The pool/hot tub was great and they have a selection of food and drinks that can have the option of being charged to your room! Instead of travel size containers, they have big bottles to use which is eco friendly and a great way to reduce waste. Overall I’m very happy with my stay

Breakfast was not very good nor a lot of choices. Also it was understandable for limited housekeeping due to the holiday. I asked for an extra bottle of water which they noted would be a charge. I am a Hilton member not pleased
