Floor was sagging, room smelled, took forever to check in, parking lot was sketchy, sheets had blood all over them and the entire place was a dump.

The pool was green with algae. There were areas where the was vomit near the doors of some of the rooms that hadn't been hosed down over the 3 days I was there. The lobby was locked when breakfast was supposed to be served and when I did get in breakfast was a cup of coffee and a piece of fruit. There was no hand soap in the room.The front desk person walked around the lobby and the breakfast area barefoot. Never again

I didnt stay here. I pulled in because i had a reservation. The place looked run down and nasty.

Not as advertised. Booked smoking room. They have no smoking rooms. Not offered there but advertised on hotels.com. False advertising. Outside appearance is poor and unkept. Not at all what was expected, which was not much. Even for the cheap price it was bad

This property was under new management which was not disclosed. My Husband was the one on this trip and was scheduled to stay through the weekend and leave on Sunday but, instead he came back to his room to find all his food supplies for the days the attendants cleaned his room like he was leaving. The pool he said also looked like it had not been cleaned in awhile also no notice of that that is one of the reasons he picked that hotel he had stayed before two years ago.

The only good thing about this hotel was that there were no bugs and the linens smelled freshly washed. We booked a king room that was no smoking and got a room with a very used ash tray on the table. Had to wait 5 minutes before anyone showed up at the front desk to check in. Then argued back and forth on the room number that was on the receipt. It said 122 and the clerk kept saying 132. No coffee maker in the room. TV took awhile to actually turn on. The "breakfast" area had cereal all over the counter and was still out at 7:30pm when we went to look for a couple spoons for food we took. Along with that coffee maker and juice dispenser out of order. I would not eat anything that was served. The floor on the one side of the bed had been "repaired" but was super loud to walk on and uneven. The pool was also out of order even with their sign saying POOL! Like I said, the only good thing was there were no bugs.

This place is not safe. very dirty ,smells very bad. druggies living there. All around bad 👎 Would have been better just sleeping in the car.... This place should change there Name to Waste management because its trash

Place was outdated.. room was clean… beds were soft but comfortable… so-called breakfast bar consisted of 2 bananas and 2 cereal dispensers with a half empty half gal of milk sitting on counter for ?? long… Property had a long list of “rules” to follow which you had to agree to upon check in along with $40 deposit. We followed all of their rules but still was charged $30.. 2 calls to property were unanswered so sent a message thru Expedia.. outside grounds were shabby

No one should ever stay here. There were fights in the parking lot, the lobby was not accessible except through a bulletproof glass teller window. The lawn hadn't been mowed in years. You're better off with a tent pitched in a Walmart parking lot.

Was convenient to eating and shopping! Hotel itself is borderline fair, needs updated! No amenities I was interested in! Went to check out at 7am, locked up and no continental breakfast at all.

Room not made up - room only cleaned after three days. Shower drain slow - here use this to clear it. Cockroaches is bath. Must I continue?

This should not be on Expedia. Run down, beat up, goodwill has better furniture. Bugs ran across floor when I opened the door.

Do not stay here. Everything in our room was dirty. The towels looked like someone wiped their shoes off on them. the bedding was dirty. Unfortunately, we checked in after 11pm because we were at cedar point all day so there weren't really options to stay somewhere else. I paid $180 for the night. Luckily, I had my own blankets and towels and stuff we brought with us.

This has to be the worse place I have ever stayed and to think I paid good money makes me ill. I will never go back and do not recommend to anyone.

The room was not clean there was some one else’s shampoo in the shower we didn’t even stay it was so disgusting!

There was a leaky bath tub. Holes in sheets. Dirty Hair dryer did not work

The room was dirty with stains and holes in the sheets. There was mold on the walls in numerous areas of the room and the smell was so bad that we could not stay…. We will NEVER make reservations at an Econo Lodge again ! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere !

Cleanliness was not satisfactory and not commensurate with the cost of the room. The beds were not comfortable at all. Cannot recommend this hotel.

Avoid this place at all costs. I spent the weekend with an old friend of mine up in the Sandusky area and we stayed at this hotel. The pictures look nice, but you have no idea how bad it is until you actually go there. Look at all the other reviews and take that into account. First of all, this is a motel with a very shady, ghetto feel to it. The area is decent but stepping onto the property makes you feel like you are renting a hotel for a few hours for a one-night stand. From the exterior, you could see where there were marks on the doors where the doors had been previously forced to gain entry. I'm not new to this and can pick up on this pretty easily based on my line of work. Upon opening the door you were hit with and God awful stench from cigarettes and mold. We rented a non-smoking room and this is how they smelled. There are cigarette burn holes in both of the sets of sheets on the beds. There was an old empty beer can left in the fridge.. there were no towels to shower or dry your hands with. There was mold growing in the bathtub. And by the way there are long-term residents that live there. We spoke to a couple of them. Dead roaches on the floor in the bathroom. The floors sagged and gave when you walked on them. The only thing this place was missing was a bunch of bed bugs, and I'm not so sure that we didn't encounter them during our trip. Do not stay here. Giant sign says no refunds too...

Just a run down motel. No bugs need to be updated.

Desk clerk threatened me and my family and used racial slurs resulting in my family feeling unsafe and disrespected and a call to the local police department. They list smoking rooms and charge different rates for it but the property itself is nonsmoking. They are not pet friendly as it advertises limiting the types of animals and charging a pet fee per day as opposed to a flat fee for the entire stay which also isn’t listed.

NEVER BOOK HERE! Desk mgr turned us away, even though we had booked a room! Stated his cleaning staff never showed up. Thankfully the BestWestern had rooms and when we told the desk clerk what happened she stated he does that all the time

Front desk person was rude and incompetent. Gave us key to a very dirty room. I have a photo. Charged me two charges on card after paid in full at desk. When I called to find out why, I got a long crazy explanation and then called me a nasty name. Terrible place! Stay away!

The manager seemed like he’d rather be somewhere else. He seemed bothered to just check someone in or out.

2nd night, access key did not work. No staff on site. Called Emergency Number no answer. Confusing notices, rules, etc posted from COVID start. Need to be updated. Called again, staff member answered and arrived about 10 minutes later. Not service I expected. Major inconvenience to family. Overall, hotel seemed to be understaffed.

The front-desk lobby keeper charged me a security deposit of $30 stating that its refundable and would returned upon verifying that there are no stolen towels and no stench of smokes. I checked out clear on the next morning of my stay and the security deposit return would hit back into my account within a couple of days. It's been 25 days and it never did. I called him up twice and he claims he returned it. I called up the bank and verified that no such transaction got posted.

When I arrived I was told my room was cancelled. I got no notice of this ahead of time!

This is by far the worst place I have ever made a reservation. The property was unkept, falling apart, dirt, the staff was clearly under the influence of substances and criminal activity was openly occurring in the park lot. We contacted Expedia for assistance. They contacted the property manager and made an unsafe environment. The property locked the office door would not answer the phone or allow a checkout. We had to flee the property and were on our own to find new lodging. Expedia strung us along for days trying to get a refund and finallly stated there was nothing they could do.

Rooms are always clean and comfy and it’s always a pleasure seeing a familiar face at the desk each time we come down for work. Located in a safe area near plenty of restaurants and shopping.

This place is a complete dump, their sevice was beyond terrible and there was no coffee or continental breakfast. Even though it states there is one. I wish this survey would let a person give -stars. I RECOMMEND SLEEPING IN YOUR CAR!!!!!

Was a total dump, room smelled, towels were dirty, breakfast was a joke, coffee, 2 types of cereal, and when we walked in the owner came in barefoot with a room temperature gallon of milk. They also kept the deposit, and room was cleaned when left, with no damage. Paid $250 for one night, been in way nicer hotels for $55 a night. Total dump all around

The hotel is rundown and nothing like in the pictures. They say breakfast is included and then the door was locked during breakfast time. The toilet was clogged and the place dirty. Also the person at the front desk was disrespectful and told us that “ for breakfast they have only cereals” and we get our deposit back if we don’t steal or break stuff.
