Beautiful hotel...easy and quick check in. Staff is very polite and helpful. we had a car for the last 4 nights which the hotel staff will valet park which was convenient. Breakfast was phenomenal with a wide variety for all tastes. The bed is very comfortable, firm. The only criticism is the jaccuzzi tub would not hold water even after all efforts with the plug ( which I must say we did not report so did not give them a chance to fix)and the bed sheets are a little rough which if you are a restless sleeper like myself you may find friction burns on your elbows. The location is great for walking to everything in the harbour area and to the older section of the city. The airport bus Volabus and the city hop on/off bus leaves you at the Principe train station which is just 30 meters from the hotel entrance. taxi stands also outside the train station. Overall it was an Excellent hotel in an excellent location

Great location for transportation around town and other cities. Top floor bar is a pathetic joke. Too small for the number of guests. No shade in record heat and sun. No staff allowed to move umbrellas or shades on south side of building. And then in this tiny area there are two hot tubs for guests to use. The worst planned thing I have ever seen. Waste of time and space. It’s too bad because this hotel is highly rated and not cheap. I was / am not able to comprehend how such good people are so dumb.

Beautiful hotel with incredible amenities including a spa, rooftop bar and hot tubs that overlook the city. Hotel is a stone’s throw from the train station and a 10 minute walk from the aquarium. A 800M walk/adventure straight up hill from the hotel gets you to Albertis Castle which is super cool, very quiet and a great find off the beaten path. Overall I did find Genoa a little tired and dirty compared to other Italian cities but still with its own unique charm. p.s. best bread ever, made uniquely the Genoese way.

Solicitamos dos habitaciones cada una para 3 personas y cuando llegamos las habitación tenian una sola cama doble (FULL) nos toco sacar un tercera habitación, para la primera noche, las otras noches nos cambiaron a habitaciones mas amplias con 2 camas, pagando un sobre costo, para resolver el problema la atención no fue muy buena. En las primeras habitaciones habían hormigas y sabanas rotas.

Really nice hotel located right next to Genova Piazza Principe station. Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. There was some noise transfer (kids screaming in the hallway/loud conversations from other guest) but no noise heard from outside. Hotel was also pet friendly.

Not even close to luxury 5-Stars (maybe last century). Right next to main train station so sketchy people around. Cleanliness not up to par. Front desk unable to properly make suggestions or reservations. Not enough staff in breakfast room- have to wait forever for coffee. Whole place smells like chlorine from the 'spa'

We were warmly welcomed by the kind staff throughout our stay… registration, housekeeping, bar and breakfast. That made the stay memorable. The hotel itself is classic old school with period details that transport to another era. That having been said, our room was well appointed with modern conveniences including a fantastic bed and triple-paned? windows overlooking the scenic piazza below.

We got the most expensive room, a top floor suite so we expected a lot and they delivered. Huge room old world elegance and a great view. We didn’t know it was so near the train station but windows were well insulated so no noise. 5 star for sure.

The hotel was okay overall. Some of the staff at the front desk were not friendly at all. Service at the bar was pretty bad. We wanted some ice for our drink and the waiter never came back. We had to go find someone else to get us the ice.

This is our third stay at the Grand Savoia. It is one of our most favorite hotels. The staff is very responsive and helped us in many of our needs. The breakfast buffet and the Tralalero Restaurant are outstanding. A real Gem with outstanding food and service.

Very disappointing! Wildly overpriced at £233 a night. The hotel is far from the 5 star haven advertised with dated facilities in need of urgent TLC and lacked any luxurious experience. Firstly there is no one at the door to assist with luggage so had to struggle with our bags upon arrival up the stairs to the lobby. The rooms were tired and in need of much updating. Don't be fooled by the photos. The spa in the basement was filthy, so we left. The roof terrace was sadly lacking, no service during the day just empty tables, the hot tub was shut, and the terrace was completely closed for a private function at night. During our stay the majority of the staff seemed glum, often ignored us, barging past us in the corridors, and on occasion outrageously rude, particularly the restaurant manageress at breakfast who made us feel most unwelcome. No menus were provided at breakfast which we found rather odd as they did offer hot cooked options such as omelettes after asking, but we're told to add our own ingredients from the buffet after cooking. We've had better breakfasts at 3* establishments. The front desk did kindly make dinner reservations for us at a nearly restaurant but that's as far as the 'service' went. Very sad to have experienced such an over hyped and self-exaggerated hotel. We were not asked how our stay was upon checkout. Sad to Say we will not return.

Grand Hotel Savoia ligger perfekt for togrejsende, som os, kvarteret omkring hotellet er ikke så godt, specielt omkring havnen er der mange typer der gør området usikkert. Når det er sagt så er Genova Centrum fyldt med fantastiske flotte bygninger, gå endelig ind i rådhuset som har åbnet dørene for alle, mange porte er også åbne gå ind og se hvad der gemmer sig det, og Ferrari Plads med stort springvand er virkelig et besøg værd. Hvis vi kommer tilbage til Genova vil må meget gerne bo på Grand Hotel Savoia, fantastisk hotel bygge i 1898, hotellet har holdt stilen fra den tid, når de renoverer prøver de at holde den gamle stil, på den gode måde.
