A beautiful location and fantastic hotel staff , great food, wonderful spa and gym and wonderful views from the balcony. Good parking for the vehicle and wonderful locations to walk in the area.

The hotel in general was good, i booked it because it had a spa, we was out everyday and all i wanted was to come back and use the spa, that didn't happen as the spa only open 10 till 5pm, ridiculous. Ive stayed in spa hotels before and the spa is open till 8pm, i was very disapointed that i had paid £2200.00 for a week and wasnt able to use the spa. In the room the bed was comfortable, but the pillow was as hard as bricks it made my ear sore, spoken with other guest who all said the same. Breakfast was delightful, fabulous sea views, sarah and neil are an asset to the hotel what two lovely people went out of there way to make sure your experience was good .evening meal unfortunately was just ok and very over priced we paid £140 for 2 starters 2 main and a bottle of wine hence we only went in the one time. Where the hotel is situated on the esplanade its a 30 min walk into the town centre or an £8 to £10 taxi ride each way, we didn't feel safe in the town either, other guest said the same too.

Beautiful hotel, parking is available but limited with very tight spaces and on a hill so be aware if you have a larger vehicle. Spa was lovely, staff were amazing, room was spacious. We didn't pay for a sea view, so our view was out onto a very run down and filthy roof top which made it feel more like being in the middle of a deprived city area rather than beautiful seaside resort. It didn't affect our stay, but worth knowing if you're planning a romantic getaway.

Fantastic location, would recommend a sea view to watch over Fistral beach and the surfing. Spa is great. Pool, jacuzzi, steak room and sauna are great but it was alarming that some guests ignored the ‘no diving’ rules displayed which caused much alarm and was scary.

Overall the stay was lovely. The room was clean, aside from a visible handprint on the bathroom tiles. We opted to pay for our breakfast in our room, which although I understand carries a service charge I felt was expensive for what received. There were also no additional condiments bought to the room or offered with the breakfast. The spa was nice, just a shame there is no space to have loungers to relax on and no opportunity to have a drink while you relax.

Stunning location overloòking Fistral Beach. Large, well equipped room with super comfy large bed. We had drinks and food on both evenings of our stay in the Bay bar which we really enjoyed. Hotel has a lovely indoor pool which we made use of. All the staff are friendly, polite and helpful.

Very good overall stay, excellent location, excellent service. Very comfortable bedroom. The pool, steam room and sauna was also excellent. Lovely outdoor seating area, unfortunately hotels music spoilt this as too loud. We went for a balcony room, I wouldn’t recommend spending the extra unless the weather is warm. The balcony is in the shade on an evening. Overall, I would definitely stay again and highly recommend. 9.9 out 10

Stunning views and great tasting food, what let it down for us was the rude lady (ava) at check in who rolled her eyes at us when we wanted to move rooms due to the constant banging and glass bottle breaking from the bar down stairs. Music from downstaits actually drowned out the TV it was that loud. Staff outside could be heard spitting on the ground which was disgusting. Room keys did not work every time we returned so had to be remagnitised every time we returned. This was supposed to be a relaxing spa break but was ruined by one member of staff being extremely unfriendly and the above mentioned room issues. Spa was very nice however pool was extreemly cold. I do not normally complain or leave negative feedback but for a 3 day break at over £800, i expect and do normally receive much better standards and service.

Lovely friendly staff at check on and the bar. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The pool was lovely and not crowded. Very close to Fistral beach, beautiful views from the lounge, some rooms have balconies which looked lovely.

We have been a few times. This occasion, there were two dead spiders hanging in the bathroom, and the bathroom had seen better days. I had a huge rip on my robe, and the hairdryer didn't work properly. Sadly, there wasn't much luxury as far as the room was concerned. Sad.

Friendly staff, especially Noah who served breakfast. Clean, comfortable, just what we needed. Would definitely stay again. Only comment of negativity I would say is that whilst in the jacuzzi relaxing looking up you see brown stains on the ceiling. Just lets it down a bit by looking in kept. More places to hang dressing gowns and towels would be good also. But other than that was lush.

We booked a last minute stay at the Fistral Beach in a sea view double and what a view it was over Fistral Beach. The room was clean and a good size so you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. The bathroom was clean with a range of products to use if you don’t want to take your own. My only grip was that it was a shower over a bath but that is a personal preference and the shower was powerful. We ate, twice in the Bay Bar, the staff were friendly, engaging and went above and beyond to make sure you had a good experience. The real highlight was breakfast each morning, where Sarah and Neil welcome you and make the start to your day a fabulous one - they make you feel like you’ve known them forever. The car park is small but we didn’t struggle to get a space, however that might be different in peak season. The same for the on road parking, there was plenty of spaces but I’m sure they’ll be limited during the summer months. We didn’t have any treatments but we did use the pool and jacuzzi, which were clean and a nice amenity to have on site. We were able to walk from the hotel in to Newquay town centre along the SW coastal path and through the golf club, which took approximately 20mins to Sainsbury’s.

The hotel is good walking distance into Newquay town and the route via the golf course is lovely. The restaurant offers great views of Fistral Beach. They have a cute photo booth just by the elevator which was a nice touch. Only thing I would say is the heating was whacked up for winter so the room was boiling but luckily there was a fan in the wardrobe! Parking for over 24hrs wasn’t an issue for us on the main road in front of the hotel, but you may have more difficulty during peak season months.

It has to be stated that the staff are excellent across the board. The challenges at this hotel are all infrastructure related. The hotel is overdue a lot of upgrades to bring it up to modern hotel standards. There’s no air conditioning, there are regular loud noises that can be heard in rooms, the shower / bath combination is a dated solution including a flimsy shower curtain that comes with all the wet-floor problems you got in hotels in the 90s Spa has some great options and does what you need it to. Proximity to the beach and local attractions is perfect in my opinion. Feels really harsh to the staff to give an overall 3 star review but the room facilities really do drag the score down by a large margin

Amazing spa. However food choices disappointing. We stayed as it was our 24 year anniversary and after a busy day wanted room service. I called reception to order and was informed the menu I was requesting from via the app was old. We were asked to order from the new menu which was delivered to our room. We felt these choices were poor with fewer options. The room was incredibly warm, and it is very noisy outside. No black out curtains in room meaning a very early wake up due to light and seagulls. Also flat pillows and very firm mattress. Over all very disappointed considering the price point

Our room was very noisy. The room backed on to fans I believe. The room was incredibly warm - the fridge seemed to generate heat in the cupboard and despite the radiator being turned down. I was unable to keep the window open due to the noise outside of the window (room 235) and it became very stuffy. There was a large gap under the door which let a lot of light in from the hallway a resulting in a poor nights sleep.

Could not believe the lovely view we had of Fistral Beach. Our double balcony overlooked Fistral Beach. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. It would be nice on check-in for them to explain by they charge 50 pounds per night up front.

the food in the restaurant was quite good thankfully. the room rate was way high as the mattress was very hard causing morning back pain for my wife & myself. The pillows were like old tea bags - horrible. Linens were mediocre at best. the room (315) wasn’t clean, there were weird crumbs on the bed upon check in. Excellent view - I guess that’s what we paid for? The hotel felt run down in general. Really disappointing overall. Very expensive but def not worth it.
the food in the restaurant was quite good thankfully. the room rate was way high as the mattress was very hard causing morning back pain for my wife & myself. The pillows were like old tea bags - horrible. Linens were mediocre at best. the room (315) wasn’t clean, there were weird crumbs on the bed upon check in. Excellent view - I guess that’s what we paid for? The hotel felt run down in general. Really disappointing overall. Very expensive but def not worth it.

Overall, a great few days at this hotel. Negatives - mattress was a little hard for me. The afternoon tea was a little disappointing, the sandwiches were a little crispy around the edges where they hadn’t been made to order and the scones were overcooked. However, positives far outweighed the negatives. The receptionist was extremely friendly on arrival. Every member of staff we met were welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to please. The front of house for breakfast were exceptional. I had a massage, I had Merryn, this was the highlight of my trip and will stay with me forever, due to the conversation we had. What a special lady. ❤️ Overall, we will certainly return. We have come away refreshed and happy.

This was one of my best hotel stays anywhere! All the hotel staff were super polite, helpful and kind and made me feel like home. Many thanks to Freddie, Beth, Jack and all the bar staff that I didn’t get their names! The room was very clean and the spa facilities were extraordinary. I am certain this hotel will see me again. Highly recommended!

An exceptional hotel and a favourite of ours as a couple .All the staff are amazing and service is impeccable. We had breakfast which is a wide selection and also ate at the restaurant which was a treat . There are plenty of places to eat and drink locally and Beach a minutiae away !

Stunning views and great tasting food, what let it down for us was the rude lady (ava) at check in who rolled her eyes at us when we wanted to move rooms due to the constant banging and glass bottle breaking from the bar down stairs. Music from downstaits actually drowned out the TV it was that loud. Staff outside could be heard spitting on the ground which was disgusting. Room keys did not work every time we returned so had to be remagnitised every time we returned. This was supposed to be a relaxing spa break but was ruined by one member of staff being extremely unfriendly and the above mentioned room issues. Spa was very nice however pool was extreemly cold. I do not normally complain or leave negative feedback but for a 3 day break at over £800, i expect and do normally receive much better standards and service.

We had a fabulous stay. The hotel's location on a hill overlooking a beautiful beach was fantastic. There were plenty of walking paths and scenic overlooks in the area to enjoy. The warm welcome provided by amazing staff especially our hosts in Dune, the topnotch onsite restaurant, was outstanding. My husband and I look forward to our return.

The hotel in general was good, i booked it because it had a spa, we was out everyday and all i wanted was to come back and use the spa, that didn't happen as the spa only open 10 till 5pm, ridiculous. Ive stayed in spa hotels before and the spa is open till 8pm, i was very disapointed that i had paid £2200.00 for a week and wasnt able to use the spa. In the room the bed was comfortable, but the pillow was as hard as bricks it made my ear sore, spoken with other guest who all said the same. Breakfast was delightful, fabulous sea views, sarah and neil are an asset to the hotel what two lovely people went out of there way to make sure your experience was good .evening meal unfortunately was just ok and very over priced we paid £140 for 2 starters 2 main and a bottle of wine hence we only went in the one time. Where the hotel is situated on the esplanade its a 30 min walk into the town centre or an £8 to £10 taxi ride each way, we didn't feel safe in the town either, other guest said the same too.

Fabulous view of the sea and easy walk to the city centre. There is a beautiful view from the bar and restaurant and I enjoyed one of their many spa massage treatments. The staff in the bar and housekeeping were also exceptional. The room was a bit warm but they do provide fans. I would definitely come back and stay at this hotel.

Stunning location overloòking Fistral Beach. Large, well equipped room with super comfy large bed. We had drinks and food on both evenings of our stay in the Bay bar which we really enjoyed. Hotel has a lovely indoor pool which we made use of. All the staff are friendly, polite and helpful.

We booked a last minute stay at the Fistral Beach in a sea view double and what a view it was over Fistral Beach. The room was clean and a good size so you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. The bathroom was clean with a range of products to use if you don’t want to take your own. My only grip was that it was a shower over a bath but that is a personal preference and the shower was powerful. We ate, twice in the Bay Bar, the staff were friendly, engaging and went above and beyond to make sure you had a good experience. The real highlight was breakfast each morning, where Sarah and Neil welcome you and make the start to your day a fabulous one - they make you feel like you’ve known them forever. The car park is small but we didn’t struggle to get a space, however that might be different in peak season. The same for the on road parking, there was plenty of spaces but I’m sure they’ll be limited during the summer months. We didn’t have any treatments but we did use the pool and jacuzzi, which were clean and a nice amenity to have on site. We were able to walk from the hotel in to Newquay town centre along the SW coastal path and through the golf club, which took approximately 20mins to Sainsbury’s.

This adults only hotel is fabulous! Stayed for a couple of nights and used the spa facilities. The location is good - a 15 minute walk to the town centre and a 10 minute walk to the Boardmasters Beach bar. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Bug shout out to Neil, Noah and Sarah, the breakfast team who were lovely.

Amazing spa. However food choices disappointing. We stayed as it was our 24 year anniversary and after a busy day wanted room service. I called reception to order and was informed the menu I was requesting from via the app was old. We were asked to order from the new menu which was delivered to our room. We felt these choices were poor with fewer options. The room was incredibly warm, and it is very noisy outside. No black out curtains in room meaning a very early wake up due to light and seagulls. Also flat pillows and very firm mattress. Over all very disappointed considering the price point

Really nice Hotel. Staff great, great breakfast and a really good spar and swimming pool. However, Service charge added to all bar and restaurant bills and very confusing on the bill. I prefer to leave a tip in cash!

Could not believe the lovely view we had of Fistral Beach. Our double balcony overlooked Fistral Beach. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. It would be nice on check-in for them to explain by they charge 50 pounds per night up front.

Everything was amazing. Originally booked one night but decided to stay for 2. Breakfast was 2nd to none! Service was friendly and welcoming. All staff happy, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Super fabulous spa facilities and accessible all through the day until late which was great. Room was spacious with plenty of everything needed. Bed was super comfy. We have absolutely ZERO complaints!!!

Great location so close to Fistral beach and within walking distance to the other beaches and town. Amazing view from the room and dining ro at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and professional. Only negative was the window in the room couldn’t close completely which meant very cold air blowing in overnight Hotel has two 7kW ev chargers, only one was in working order while I was there. Recommend.

We loved our stay here, we experienced 3 days of relaxation, brilliant service and food. The Spa is spotless and if you avoid rush time will not be busy (though has space to everyone). I had to treatments with Sophie and I super recommend that you book, worth every penny. We had a dinner and breakfast at their Dune restaurant and again the food was great and the people was helpful always with a smile. The room was spacious, comfortable and same for the bathroom, though we would love to have more hooks for towels as it was a bit of struggle to where leave them overnight. For the gym bunnies, they have group classes and I attended the yoga which was very relaxed. Maybe to improve I would say some of the decor was damaged, so a bit of a TLC would be nice in the rooms and promote the group classes more as we found by chance while waiting for the Spa access.

The hotel was perfect, our room clean and kept nice over our stay. The breakfast was unbelievable, so much choice. All very tasty and fresh, so very pleasing to the eye and the stomach. The staff to include;Ty, Thomas, Amy, kwan and bartenders. And the breakfast greeters. My massage that I had with Amilie was out of this world so I booked another one, she was so pleasant and excellent at her job, the best ever. I worked for Marriott hotels for 25 years, I know good service when I see it. Thank you to all the staff and mgmt for making our stay fabulous. Steve & Lauri

On the whole an excellent hotel and stay so I’m going to be picky but no big deal. The windows in the room are difficult to open and close. A member of reception staff being overprotective of recyclable cups when taking an extra one for tea.
