Stayed overnight for a concert, so only used for sleeping. Rooms are basic and in need of updating, ours was clean with fresh towels and bedding. A budget hotel so was ok for somewhere to sleep within walking distance of city center. Hotel did have parking which was convenient.

I’ve stayed here before, it’s ok if you want a relatively cheap but decent overnight stay close to the AO arena. However the room was freezing and when shown how to put the heater on the heater was way too small to heat the room up even a whole night on full blast only managed to take the edge off. Fortunately there was an extra bed cover I could use so I could actually sleep. The hotel now boasts EV charging and the points are there but the parking in front of it isn’t designated for charging, which meant were three cars parked in front of the charge points the whole time I was there non of which were electric so I charged up in Stockport instead.

It was good value for money. It was very basic and small. But it was perfect for what we needed. Room was clean, bed was okay but could be more comfortable. Bathroom very small, but good pressure. Desk for make-up. Only downside, no lift and two floors.

Stayed just the one night, check in straightforward, altho was asked for ID and didnt have my driving licence with me, so maybe people should be made aware of bringing ID. Room clean and comfortable for one night. You get what u pay for. Parking booked in advance, and glad we did as quite busy when we arrived.

Everything was fine and the room was great. You get what you paid for. However, the receptionist didn’t explain to us that we needed to pay for parking when we checked in which was a little misleading. But you are supposed to pay at check in and not when we checkout.

Car parking was great.. would be great if it was free. Great location for AO Arena. 15 minute walk for me even with my walking stick n bad leg.. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent and would definitely stay again. The only downside was the parking. We paid in advance for 2 spaces but these werent reserved and could only park if a space became free

Booked as a cheap option while working in Manchester for a couple of nights and didn’t expect too much (although review ratings were pretty good). Hotel was clean, quiet and staff were very helpful and friendly. If you’re looking for upmarket then it’s not for you but if you want somewhere comfortable to sleep then it’s perfect! 10 minutes to the convention centre and a fraction of the cost of hotels in the area.

Nice, good value hotel, with nothing really to dislike if you have reasonable expectations. Stayed two nights for Sounds of the City at Castlefield Bowl, and the location is a c.15 minute walk to Deansgate, so convenient for that area of Manchester and connecting public transport services. Check in was efficient and quick. Staff were friendly, courteous and professional. My room was clean, comfortable and a good size, with all the basic amenities provided. I had no issues to raise about the room or the hotel during my stay. Based on my experience I would definitely use the hotel again.

Please find another hotel to stay in for your own safety. On the night we stayed ,a man /guest used his key to enter the room next door to his at 2.30 am and wouldn’t leave until security/reception attended. There was lots of shouting between this guest and a solo female guest who was the person in the invaded room. When I complained/enquired in the morning, reception thought I was taking about another incident regarding drunk guests at 5am (?!) Car park didn’t seam very safe due to the area, £9.50, additional charge. Very small room, very claustrophobic, ok bedding. Only 1 pillow each. Unhoovered grimy carpet. Not cheap (£150+) and definitely not worth it. Some Staff were pleasant but check in person could hardly be bothered to speak. The whole place had a strange unsettling vibe. Have stayed in hundreds of hotels all around the world and rarely ever leave negative reviews but this one requires it if only as a warning to other potential guests. A note to the hotel workers, I’m very sorry to have felt compelled to leave this review as it’s very clear that the area the hotel is located in makes it difficult to police things regarding guests and that the hotel is itself tired. I do however stand by my comments as they offer a truthful depiction that isn’t available in the hotel listing.

Handy for going to AO arena, walkable. Couple of pubs very close. Lots of pubs and restaurants within 15 minutes or so. Staff were very helpful. Room clean, but very tired. Carpet and curtains were threadbare. The smallest bathroom I have ever seen!! Lots of lovely hot water, but a tiny room!! I had to dry myself in the bedroom, no room in the shower room! Tea and coffee facilities… 2 tea bags, 2 milk. Mugs not washed or replaced with clean ones when room cleaned. Could be outstanding because of its proximity to everything.

Close to city centre only positive. Rooms are small and need updating and the bathroom is smaller than any pod bathroom I’ve had. Would not be suitable for anyone slightly overweight or tall as can’t even turn around freely. Bed mattress hard

The bathroom area is so small you have to come back into the bedroom to turn around. The pipe work was making gurgling noises throughout the night The noise was from the corridor was bad throughout the night doors were banging people laughing and joking at 2.00am The bed was very small and uncomfortable etc. Overall NOT a very nice experience.

Varying price for parking, collague paid through the desk, I paid using the machine after being informed by the desk and mine was charged at nearly twice as much for the same length of stay. Woken up most nights due to people talking in the corridoors at night around 0130-0330

The check in process was pathetic. The card machine wasn’t working and I was made to feel like it was my fault. It took 20 minutes. Shocking!

I do however stand by my comments as they offer a truthful depiction that isn’t available in the hotel listing.

Check in was awkward as the person checking is in didn’t seem to understand English very well & even though I spelt out my name he still got it wrong & couldn’t find booking , we had to wait for manager to come and sort it ! Doors are very loud when closing so all night was doors banging , bedding is too heavy , a duvet would be better than a heavy bed spread , ok for the price

My only comment is to Expedia. Going to a gig so travelled light. Was asked for ID and credit card on arrival. I had no ID. This info if requirements was not mentioned on the booking

Paid on arrival. Was asked for my debit card after paying in full for my stay which the guy on reception took. He also took my driving licence. When i asked for them back he said he was going to take details of my debit card and address details from my driving licence for the £50 security deposit. No mention of this deposit on Hotels.com. Said i was not happy with him taking my card details and address due to security reasons. Asked me to pay £50 in cash which would be refunded on check out. Only had £45 and they accepted. In the morning i handed back my key and asked for the deposit back and he took the key and went to the room to check we had not caused any damage. he then gave me the £45 back and didn't say anything. Firstly i checked the terms and conditions of the hotel and it states a security depots is required ONLY if you paid for your stay in cash. We did not. Why did they feel the need to argue and state this is company policy when we were the only ones we saw asked for this. Rude staff and clearly something does not seem right with the way they run the hotel. I stay all over the country for work and have never been treated this way ever. No other person that we saw check in after us had this same treatment. Pointing to a sign on the window and saying its common practice. The hotel is priced because it’s within walking distance to the AO arena so that’s a positive The hotel is surrounded by high rise flats that’s got some very shady folk in them , I walked out the car park to see a full on drug deal , then again later on , I didn’t feel safe at all. The rooms are very small and the bathroom is so tiny you can hardly turn around in the shower, the staff do their best but I wouldn’t recommend it .

Pretty average considering the location on the outskirts of the city centre, a few minutes away from all the city has to offer. A fair bit of noise from traffic, sirens etc. The entrance is down a side street off a busy carriageway. At first a little impersonal, rather like walking into a post office, but I suppose the strengthened glass enclosure affords a little security to the staff should it be required. Travelling alone, my room was on the 2nd floor, accessable by stairs. Not the best of views from the window. Looked out over the car park and some sort of compound, but I was only there for one night. Everything was compact. The shower /sink / toilet room was quite tiny. Wouldnt suit a larger person. The small TV is fitted on an adjustable wall bracket. It has to be switched on by a switch on the TV set before you can use the remote and when first switched on, reception looks poor (pixellating) but this settles to decent reception after a minute or so. The TV switches off automatically at midnight. Furnishings are designed without doors or drawers, but there is enough room to store your clothing and other goods neatly. Just plain decor on walls and ceiling with a couple of mirrors and a portrait, but all clean and tidy looking. The kettle was in a quite new condition and there were tea bags (Yorkshire), coffee sachets (nescafe) milk pots and sugar and more were available downstairs in the bar / restraunt area if required. The bed was very comfortable.

Nice, good value hotel, with nothing really to dislike if you have reasonable expectations. Stayed two nights for Sounds of the City at Castlefield Bowl, and the location is a c.15 minute walk to Deansgate, so convenient for that area of Manchester and connecting public transport services. Check in was efficient and quick. Staff were friendly, courteous and professional. My room was clean, comfortable and a good size, with all the basic amenities provided. I had no issues to raise about the room or the hotel during my stay. Based on my experience I would definitely use the hotel again.

Staff were friendly.Room was small but clean with a nice enough view. Kettle, tea & coffee,hairdryer & towels provided. We had a nice breakfast in the morning which we paid extra for. Just to make people aware, when we checked in I was asked for ID which luckily I had on me. I hadn’t been aware of this as I’ve never had it asked before, they also took credit/debit card details. Good location for AO arena. We went to the Emirates cricket ground with cost £12 in an uber. Would stay here again.

Conveniently sited Hotel near The Co-op Arena . We were able to travel to the venue & return afterwards. The rooms were clean & tidy as was The Bar & Restaurant . Prices were reasonable as well

I found the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed, it seemed very good in terms of general cleanliness, the room was a decent size and well laid out and for me it was in a convenient location with the AO arena about 10 mins walk away and pubs/places to eat within a similar distance. My only minor criticisms of the room itself is the bathroom felt just a tad cramped and the room probably could've been a bit better ventilated - there was only a small window in the corner which could only be opened slightly. The weather wasn't hot so it wasn't a significant issue but I found the room could get a little bit warm. I would also recommend eating and drinking out really rather than in the hotel itself, though I only had the breakfast one morning and not an evening meal but it was £11.95 for a full english (if you just want cereal, etc then that's complimentary) and what you got was relatively small for the price and the bar doesn't offer the best selection or value either so eating and drinking in the hotel is OK in an 'emergency' I would say but if you have the time there are better options within a 10 minute walk. Overall though this worked fine for me and generally the hotel ticked all the boxes I was looking for and I will likely stay there again in future, having a bit more knowledge of the local area.

For the price I can't complain, everything was clean and had everything I need which was good. The bed was fine and the cushions were comfy. I definitely recommend wearing some ear plugs for all budget hotels as you can hear noise on the outside and the quality of the customers means not all of them will be quiet at various times. I was lucky as I had my ear plugs in so I got a good nice sleep.

It’s a bit of an unusual one. They took my ID and my bank card details. They also charged £2.40 visitor tax for 2 nights that I stayed there. The bathroom was awful and the shower gel container which was screwed on the wall had dirty bacterial limescale. The room’s carpet was dirty and stained. Parking isn’t included in the however cheaper if you go in and check in, the hotel will charge you less rather then paying at the pay machine. Just for those who aren’t aware, it’s £1.20 additional fee per night due to the tourist tax which isn’t informed when booking the stay. Room was clean but small space for a twin room
