Excellent location for walking along beach.Hotel staff very friendly, not the place to stay if you want a quiet relaxing day, but brilliant atmosphere in bar/restaurant if you want a night out. The hotel breakfast is very tasty and worth the price.

Easy going staff allowed me to check in early and then kept my suitcase safe on check out so I may wander about Brighton without it. Comfortable and clean room. Quiet as bar not open but loved the earplugs being provided!

Great view from the window, but that was the only highlight. Ignore the parking available tag, there is no parking. Street parking is permit only and the nearest car park adds £38.20 per day to your stay. The hotel looked tired and sits on top of a cabaret bar. Bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom claustrophobic, expect burns if the heater is on when using the facilities.

Great location to visit the pier. Parking is difficult everywhere in this area. Hotel is showing it's age. Bar was lively with alternative entertainment. Breakfast was terrible, don't waste your time with it.

To be totally honest for how much we paid over £100 a night I was very shocked at this hotel and was expecting much more for the money. I will start with the good and say staff at reception are exceptional and very friendly and helpful and staff went above and beyond. But that is were the positive ends I'm afraid. The toilet stank and would not flush properly, cracks in the mirror and broken toilet roll holder, not what you expect when paying over £100 a night. Hotel supposed to serve breakfast from 8till 10 as that's what they advertise but was told was not available as no chef was working. As I said, staff fantastic, but that can't compensate for the lack of maintenance and amenities

Very noisy. Booked a room supposedly away from the very noisy bar area but were given one right on top of it. Room was hot and stuffy but noise meant we couldn't open the window. No aircon so we tried using the fan left in the wardrobe but it was filthy and filled the room with clumps of dust! Bathroom also dirty. The guy on the front desk did his best but had no other rooms. This is not a hotel for sleeping in! Really poor.

A lovely hotel...very clean, bright and airy room. Friendly staff and a great location. The hotel is attached to a Bar and music does go on til the early hours but this can only be expected in the centre of Brighton! Would def stay here again

It was a fine stay; the bed was comfortable. The main issue I had was that I had the sign on the door to make up the room for 3 days, and nobody came. I ran out of things, and I had to go down and get them myself. Also, the bar downstairs ran out of bottled water, which was very inconvenient. The manager wasn't very nice, but the other staff was very friendly. With the bar downstairs it was pretty noisy, we didn't mind but if you're a light sleeper its something to consider. It was a good stay for a fair price, no frills but what we needed for our short time in Brighton.

It was a fine stay; the bed was comfortable. The main issue I had was that I had the sign on the door to make up the room for 3 days, and nobody came. I ran out of things, and I had to go down and get them myself. Also, the bar downstairs ran out of bottled water, which was very inconvenient. Location, staff and room layout were all fantastic. Unfortunately, cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom let it down somewhat. Definitely worth a return following a deep clean.

The hotel met our needs attending an evening wedding. More cleaning attention needed in bathroom, didn’t say anything as not on 4 in a bed, sorted myself as needed to get ready. Check in chap was very friendly and informative. Ear plugs a very good shout.

Very close to the beach. That’s about it. Wasn’t at all noisy like others have reported, however…I’ll not be back. I reported the toilet as blocked when I arrived. They said they’d sorted it. Clearly not. It flooded the bathroom with water, paper and poo. Not a good look Hotels.com

Comfortable bed , lovely sea view Right above bar so was very noisy ( avoided choosing the rooms which mentioned the noise when booking ) Windows didn’t shut properly so a lot of road noise as well Ok for a one night stay , or if you can sleep through easily !

Our room which was on the small size but quite adequate, was at the front of the hotel with a lovely view of the sea front. The fact they supplied you with earplugs was slightly concerning and actually you DID need them !!! You’re in a city by a main road so this is to be expected I’m sure the back rooms were much quieter ! The only real down side was our very uncomfortably mattress, it’s certainly time they changed it it’s well past it’s sell by date !

Room we were given (room12) was right above a bar with loud music playing until 01:30 . There is a nightclub next door which is open until 5am but we didn’t hear anything from the club but think the rooms closer May well have . The room was clean and tidy and if we were younger we would have been in the pub so would have been an issue It would be a good idea to inform guests on arrival and the ones that would be kept awake to be moved to rooms further away as there isn’t anything on website informing you of the noise

Staff were very friendly however the room was a little disappointing a bit tired and rather plain, bed was comfortable however our room suffered from noise from the bar downstairs and from the room above where other guests could clearly be heard pacing around due to poor sound insulation.

Slightly worried when we entered the room and saw complimentary ear plugs….. but they were needed!! Very noisy with street noises (single pane glazing and window lock didn’t work). Room upstairs had very noisy floors and we could hear everything happening up there. Reception staff seemed very friendly and helpful on check in and as we were coming and going throughout the stay. Just unfortunately the building was so noisy. We didn’t complain as it was issues outside of the staff’s control, but I’m sure they would have tried their best to help.

The people on reception were great we were made to feel very welcome and they was friendly. The hotel was in a great location. We had a room that overlooked the sea. The only issue was that the room looked outdated and felt a bit grotty for the price we paid. The shower worked but it wasn’t very good. The room was adequate and clean but we wouldn’t have wanted to stay there for more than one night. If your not too bothered about the room then I would recommend here

Staying at the Amsterdam hotel was lovely. the check-in at the reception was great and the gentleman processing our reservation was very professional and pleasant, we also received an upgrade in our room which very nice, clean and spacious and rather quiet considering where the room was located on the third floor. but my overall stay at the Amsterdam was great and i would certainly stay there again.

No parking, and the clerk didn't seem to care. He said just drive around and around until you find somewhere to park. Old, and dirty. Didn't really feel safe. I would never recommend this hotel......ever!

Helpful and polite staff. Easy street parking, and we were surprised by this, given how busy it was. Given that it was much cheaper than a lot, i looked at . It was good value , and clean .

Staff really looked after my friend and I, nothing was too much and breakfast was great and young man who served us was so kind and helpful. Whenever I go to Brighton the Amsterdam Hotel will be my choice to stay.

Great location, walking distance to all areas, staff really friendly & helpful. I did get charged twice as booked through Expedia, but was very easy to sort out the refund and staff were very nice. Lovely short stay.

I arrived 5hrs early and the manager let me book in free of charge. The room was spot on,clean with lots of free coffee/Tea,towels and a great sea view.5mins from town centre.Very good local transport links. Bed was extremely comfortable. Sfaff were very friendly and amenable. I will have no reservations in booking this hotel again and will recommend it to family/friends.

Perfect location. Staff very helpful. Very noisey though but suppose its to be expected being by the sea front, earplugs are provides. Rooms were clean enough, very spacious.

Perfect location. Staff very helpful. Very noisey though but suppose its to be expected being by the sea front, earplugs are provides. Rooms were clean enough, very spacious.

Great location right on Brighton seafront near the pier. Right in the middle of all that Brighton has to offer. Clean comfortable room with good shower. An older style traditional hotel but everything you need.

I arrived 5hrs early and the manager let me book in free of charge. The room was spot on,clean with lots of free coffee/Tea,towels and a great sea view.5mins from town centre.Very good local transport links. Bed was extremely comfortable. Sfaff were very friendly and amenable. I will have no reservations in booking this hotel again and will recommend it to family/friends.

To be totally honest for how much we paid over £100 a night I was very shocked at this hotel and was expecting much more for the money. I will start with the good and say staff at reception are exceptional and very friendly and helpful and staff went above and beyond. But that is were the positive ends I'm afraid. The toilet stank and would not flush properly, cracks in the mirror and broken toilet roll holder, not what you expect when paying over £100 a night. Hotel supposed to serve breakfast from 8till 10 as that's what they advertise but was told was not available as no chef was working. As I said, staff fantastic, but that can't compensate for the lack of maintenance and amenities

Great location just opposite the pier. We had a sea view room which was great and the walk in shower was quite big. Downstairs was a drag act bar which we loved on a saturday night. Noise was fine and expected as ear plugs provided, we really didn't mind, if we wanted a quiet hotel we would have gone further up the coast! It is Brighton people! (Those who have left negative feedback on here due to noise need to go on a weekday then, or the countryside! 😁). We loved it and eould come back. Oh and polite staff at the checkin desk too which is always nice.

Excellent location for walking along beach.Hotel staff very friendly, not the place to stay if you want a quiet relaxing day, but brilliant atmosphere in bar/restaurant if you want a night out. The hotel breakfast is very tasty and worth the price.

Staff really looked after my friend and I, nothing was too much and breakfast was great and young man who served us was so kind and helpful. Whenever I go to Brighton the Amsterdam Hotel will be my choice to stay.

Great location to visit the pier. Parking is difficult everywhere in this area. Hotel is showing it's age. Bar was lively with alternative entertainment. Breakfast was terrible, don't waste your time with it.

Nous avons passé un agreable séjour. Nos chambres étaient spacieuses, propres, avec des petits plus comme une table a repasser, une bouilloire et un assortiment de thé café chocolat fournis, un seche cheveux. Le professionnalisme du personnel. Les petits bémols sont une salle de douche plutôt petite par rapport à la taille de la chambre . Aucune séparation entre le wc et la douche se qui entraine un passage sur le sol mouillé après une douche. Un manque d'insonorisation. Et le plus surprenant pas de service de petits déjeuners le dimanche.

Overall the hotel was fine, but I won’t be staying here again or recommending. Yes location was great however nowhere on the website did it say the hotel was ontop of a bar and a nightclub. Sleep was impossible until the club closed with the base thumping through the walls and music blaring clear as day from around 2pm until 3am. We couldn’t have the windows open to cool down the room due to the noise which was inconvenient. Parking was also misleading, online it mentions a £20 parking voucher, yet reception tried to charge us £30 and it was only amended after w questioned so id watch out for this. However the pamphlets in the room state parking pass as £8….. so pretty misleading and clearly charging more just because they can. Room wasn’t amazing, but had all the basics for a single night stay. Overall a very groggy and lacklustre stay, and ideally it should be noted on their website the noise levels as had we known we wouldn’t have booked.

The room was nice perfect for me the bed and the shower and the balcony was good the balcony does need some work on it some of the things in the room where dusty and some holes on the walls the clubs under me was lound music but quite in joyed it still could sleep with the doors shut the views where great how ever happy with the overall experience.
