I did not like that the elevator from the street level to the lobby was not working. We had to be escorted to the freight elevator for my grandchild in the stroller to access our room.

Thought this property was nice and in a good location. The workout room was well outfitted. The room we had was a nice size and quiet. Beds were comfortable. I liked that they were able to let us check in early and that they have a noon check out time. Restaurant at hotel is very good.

It was a great hotel. No Lobby bar. Mercat food and cocktails were great but didn't open until 4 and was closed when we return tend from the theater. Beautiful lobby. Wish there was more opportunity to relax and enjoy a cocktail in it.

They need to add security, both at the doors and in the elevator. Should have to use key to get floor. We did not feel safe.

The Blackstone is a historic property with lovely facilities. It is right on the #3 bus line- making my ride to the McCormick Place Convention Center easy. There is a lovely park across the street. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel does not offer room service. There is an in-hotel restaurant that looked good but I did not try. The hotel does not offer breakfast options (maybe for those at the Club level?) but did have a list of nearby options. I wish that list was offered to me upon check-in, but that is my only criticism. Loved Chicago and definitely plan to return.

Beautiful hotel, lobby smells amazing!!!We picked this hotel because of the location. We went to a concert at Soldier Field. It was about a 20 min walk. Since there's no parking, we parked in the uncovered parking lot behind the hotel for $40 a night. The parking at Hilton across the street was $80. There were plenty of dining options around as well. We would definitely stay here again.

The property had a lack of entertainment and food options on Sunday (Mother’s Day). I had to go across the street to the Hilton to eat. Disappointing!

Beautiful well-maintained hotel, close to the Art Museum and the Studebaker theater. Front desk folks were some of the nicest I’ve ever encountered at a hotel, room was very clean with super comfy beds, and everything in the lobby was done up beautifully for Christmas. Stayed with my family- the 4 of us would definitely return!

Hotel was clean staff friendly. View was great. Access to lots of great restaurants parks and museums.

I think the bed I slept in may have bedbugs. I woke up with bites each morning.

Rooms were very clean, very comfy bed and pillows, great location!! Very friendly and helpful employees at the front desk. And I loved the history of the hotel.

We stayed here because of its proximity to Soldier Field and the Museums. We walked there for the Bears vs Seahawks game. The rooms were nice but I couldn’t get past the wad of gum jammed against the wall by the elevator, which is reason for the 3 star cleanliness score. Otherwise it was enjoyable and clean. The Wifi worked great and it was free to me because I was a Marriott Rewards member. Out two teenage boys stayed in the room across the hall and had a great experience.

The room was not very clean. The floors were especially dirty. The decor and bed were nice as well as the view of the city. However, if you stay in this room 1006 be prepared to be up all night listening to car alarms as the hotel is situated right next to a garage. Literally we had at least 10 car alarms going off that seemed to never stop. My niece who lives in Chicago says that’s what people do to locate their vehicle! I was thinking it was car theft. Also hotel staff are very deceptive. They told us we had a $25 credit to the restaurant, so of course we spent 140 there thinking they would credit us that 25 dollars on our bill. The waitress even said that is how it would work. When I checked out they charged me this “destination fee” for 25 bucks plus two extra taxes. When I asked about it the manager said that’s how it works? They charge you an additional amount of money? It made zero sense. I also used the Hilton parking garage for a fee of $70 that I was told to pay at this hotel. After I left early in the morning the validated ticket they gave me wouldn’t work. So I had to sit there stopping traffic to call them at the hotel while my husband called the parking garage to get the gate to open. I honestly think this hotel has beautiful features in the lobby but I seriously question the management of this hotel. Beware!

My one night stay was perfect. The hotel room was clean and modern. The shower was amazing. The neighborhood was a little seedy, but I would stay again.

The Blackstone is very nice, the decor is good. The rain showers have very little water pressure. I felt that for the price the hotel is lacking a little.

This hotel is beautiful! We had a lake view and our room was beautifully updated. The lobby has its old school grandeur. And the employees were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again and highly recommend it to others in this fantastic location!

Super comfortable beds

I had issues with the front desk staff when checking in. I booked a king room with a lake view. immediately they were having difficulty because I requested to place my incidental hold on my credit card separate from the card I was charging the room on. I’ve done this many times before at other hotels and yet they acted as if this was a foreign concept. They placed me on the 6th floor right next to the gym. Furthermore, the key the gave me did not work so I immediately went back to the front desk to request a new room. I was told the only other available king room with a lake view was an accessible room otherwise I would have to downgrade my room option. I refused to down grade since I picked this hotel and that room specifically for a reason. I was then told that the room was not clean and would take an hour to be ready. This completely threw off my plans as I already planned to check in drop my bags off and head to an appointment. Between the mishap with my card and having to request a new room, I was running behind for my appointment. When I returned to retrieve my new key a little over an hour later, the desk attendant that was helping me was pretty rude and made a snide remark when I asked if they room was still not ready after hearing him mention something of the sort to his co worker. The room overall was spacious and clean. It was in a good location. I only stayed one night so I did not get to enjoy the full amenities but I did not appreciate staff treatment.

First, our reservation was missing somehow, although I handed the front desk my confirmation email from Expedia. We started panicking. Than the manager suddenly found it. Or just figure out to better give us another room, they were not fully booked. The room was very small and next to the supply room and cleaning staff. They were talking loudly in the mornings and woke us up two of the days. On the day we had to checkout, which is noon according to their web, the cleanings lady started knocking on the door 9:36 am and when I opened she told me bluntly that I have to leave. Never in my long history of hotel stays something like this ever happened. When I checked out I was not asked by the staff how my stay was. It was very hot when we visited, no complimentary water was offered, no information about the facilities was offered. The staff was not friendly, they all looked grumpy and tried to get you out of their hair as fast as possible. I was treated better at motels. This is def not a 4 star hotel and I will definitely not bookings it again.

This hotel has gone down hill in the past 3 years. The front desk staff is rude and argumentative. I was put in a room thst had no dresser to un pack and only a shelf and a low bar the was blocked by the safe. There was no water pressure in the shower and the water never got hot. We grabbed a quick bite at the restraint. The food was expensive and terrible. After spending a great deal of money hosting guests here for my daughters wedding what I got this time compared to then was like night and day. I forgot to mention a brand new pair of AirPods was taken out of a bag that I had stored under a bench. Security never followed up and I was blown off at check out. Never again will I stay at the Blackstone.

This property lacks the customer care. I experienced an issue at midnight, was downgraded to a room that allegedly was the same rate as the one I was moved to. I highly doubt it but because I was tired, I dismissed it. The woman, while nice, was thanking me for not being upset instead of trying to go above and beyond to make it right. I booked a lakeview room and was told that because I was on a low floor I shouldn't expect to see the lake - that just makes no sense, maybe don't call it a lakeview room if that's the case. This place is not ADA compliant and the front lobby is so busy, you can barely move around. I found it very funny that the staff was referring people to use the Hilton services across the street (microwave, coffee, etc). Against my better judgement, I stayed here instead of my preferred Hilton. Won't ever make that mistake again. Overall, not up to my standards. Room was old, clearly plumbing or sewage issues in the building. Nothing charming about this place and lack of customer service made it 10 times worst. I will never stay here again.

Professional and friendly staff, hotel very clean and great housekeeping, wonderful decor, bed, bath, all amenities - perfect location and convenient to red line…historical ambiance of building was perfect

Room lock was broken (clearly forced open). The lock was hanging off the screws when I checked in. Also staff were nice but not very helpful. For $1000 reservation, they refused to give me late check out and kept asking me when I was leaving and if I needed help with my bags anytime I passed through the lobby. I felt rushed out every time. Not good.

Hotel beds were amazing, things were clean and staff were excellent. Major perk was the door staff; they even made sure my kid didn’t run out into the street while trying to get into the car. Everyone on site absolutely understood the assignment. Amazing place.

Great location right on Michigan Ave. It was easy to park next door and walk to the train or areas downtown. Very safe area, even at night. The hotel was clean and very comfortable.

Great hotel! Beautiful atmosphere! Right on Michigan ave, close to many attractions

Loved it! Stayed here for Sueños festival. Grant park is across the street. The Bean is only a 20 min walk. Shopping is only a few blocks away. Close to a lot of restaursnts.

This is a really nice old style hotel, Our room with a view of the lake was awesome, Laid in bed and watched the Saturday night Fireworks at Navy Pier. The hotel could use a nice Bar to go with it. Stay away from the restaurant Mercat, We were very disappointed for a purported high end dinner it was far from it.

Great property located near the park with nearby parking options. I felt the breakfast area could been better with more variety and the restaurant closes at 10pm. The rooms were clean the service was wonderful.

Blackstone has an elegant lobby and the ability to dine at the restaurant that shares a location in the building. (Mercat, I believe.) The room itself was comfortable and offered good basics that other places don’t, such as a fridge, which is hard to believe. Overall a pleasant experience and everything was in walking distance. My wife and I were pleased.
