Oh it was just so beautiful! All the flowering gardens, friendly staff and so helpful. The pool and sauna were immaculate and placed among beautiful gardens and trees. Laundry on site, gym, steam rooms, well appointed rooms and best of all, breakfast was served(included in stay), 7-10! Not an early riser? That’s ok, as it was peaceful. Had the pleasure of meeting Tim and Morgan, who made our stay perfect. Pleanty of handicap ramp and parking. Conveniently located next to Total Wine, police, fire and a ton of shopping. Enjoy, but don’t tell everyone…I want to keep it my secret for future trips!

We stay here whenever we go to Laguna Beach. Just six miles to the Main Beach, and very reasonably priced. The pool area is really nice with a jacuzzi and lots of lounges and tables. We like to play card games and sometimes eat dinner at the tables around the pool at the end of a beach day. Staff is great. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was great, more than I expected! The staff was great and accommodating. They did run out of towels for the pool & hot tub and also ran out of extra sheets and blankets when I ask for more. But the other than that it was a nice place to stay, and the location is excellent and close to all kinds of restaurants, shopping centers, and freeway access!

I liked how clean & updated the rooms were. The location was perfect too. Close to shopping & restaurants. A 20 min drive to the beach was good too. The sauna & pool were clean and very well maintained however there were no pool towels available. The workout room wasnt that great either. The tredmill was old & the belt slipped and the other one was out of order. I would definitely recommend this property & would stay there again.

Upon arrival, our room appeared well-organized and sufficient for our needs. However, upon returning to the room, we discovered several centipedes and bugs in our clothing and under the beds. We reported the issue to the front desk, and the staff member was responsive and accommodating, offering a room upgrade on a different floor. Unfortunately, the new room also had bugs, with one crawling on a guest's during the night. Further inspection revealed tiny bugs on the walls. The pull-out couch was also found to be unclean, with hair and crumbs present. Due to the severity of the issue, we were forced to sleep in our car. Despite the staff's efforts to assist us, the bugs from the garden most likely, significantly impacted our stay. We ultimately checked out as planned and appreciated the staff's willingness to provide a later checkout time, a refund was given as a solution and

The parking was safe. We did not do housekeeping so I don’t know about laundry The first room bordering the highway was musty and loud. Felt like a dungeon. We changed after one night to the garden area. The rooms are in BAD need of cleaning or remodeling!! I could not sleep because of the musty smell and drab surroundings. We ended up fulfilling our stay agreement. But I will never stay here again unless I see that they have remodeled and got rid of the nasty carpet. The air conditioning just did not have a filtering system to get out the MOLD smell. It’s so sad the exterior is well kept and the interior is nasty.

Cons: check in isn’t u til 3pm, but not the worst thing. The first room was got was visibly dirty. Old food on the ground, dingy surroundings, and the door had an obvious gap when closed. The first room was on the main floor and facing a Main Street and I didn’t love that. We did ask to change room due to a few issues mentioned above. Second room: cleaner at first. I ripped off the bedding and could see the mattress covers were still obviously dirty. Asked for them to be changed and it took a while but they were changed. Counters and other items dusty and unwiped. Cob webs on ceilings. spent some time cleaning many things. You could also tell that the floor was not vacuumed or not vacuumed well. Quite outdated. Pros: Friendly and accommodating staff. Quite Easy to get to and from. Good mini fridge and microwave Nice new modern TV. Air conditioner worked well Cute balcony which made air flow nice and where we were there was a nice little seating area. Continental breakfast was fine. Juice, tea and coffee, meat, eggs, breads, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit and yogurt. Fills the belly. Didn’t eat the meat really but I heard that once it was out it is out? But not sure on that- so be early. It’s an easy drive to laguna beach but still need to drive- about 20 mins and longer drive to Huntington Beach but mostly freeways. I would stay there because the price was right as well, however I would be cautious about what room I would accept. - did NOT try pool or hot tub

Dirty sheets, yellow marks. The locking safety hatch looked like someone tried to bust into the room, rust in bathtub and fridge. Beds very cheap and uncomfortable. We ended our stay with them the next day. We shouldn’t have had to pay for one night due to this all.

Very convenient location for visiting Laguna Woods, easy access by car to restaurants, grocery stores, banks, pharmacies. Beautiful garden, worth paying extra for the view. If they added an armchair to the double queen room, replaced the rusty bathroom mirror, and repainted the walls they would be a superb motel. As it is they are very good and I would stay there again.

Excellent (but limited) Breakfast service - more than I expected for "continental breakfast". Breakfast room was very busy a few times but I just took a tray up to my room. carpark was a bit scruffy & could do with occasional sweeping. I could not fault my room for comfort and cleanliness. Good internet service almost all the time, but TV resets at ~ 10:30 every day (which is a bit strange). I would stay here again, but probably only for stays of about 1 week or less.

The air conditioner was very loud either on low medium or high. It’s a very dark room. There’s no attention to detail when it comes to maintenance. It’s very dated very 60s. Breakfast was free and there’s a reason because it wasn’t all that. The toilet paper holder had been basically ripped off the wall. The painting in the room wasn’t done by any professional Painter. The air conditioners filter needed attention. The iron had something sticky on it. And was unusable a person was at breakfast talking very loudly on the phone and disrupting the entire room with people eating breakfast. I told the front desk and I said yeah he’s a paying Client. They didn’t do anything.

This place isn’t bad; but it’s nothing special. The worst thing was emergency or police sirens interrupted our sleep three times during the night. Not sure if there’s a station nearby or it was just coincidence. Beds were comfortable. Starbuck’s was close for morning coffee. Parking was free.

The guy, Brand, at the front desk who checked us in, could have been friendly and professional. He was eating and chewing while checking us in. He was unprofessional, ill-mannered, uninviting, and rude. Train your staff at the front desk.

I have stayed at this location multiple times over the last 20 years, at least twice a year. The Laguna Hills Lodge has changed ownership over the last few months, and I must say that it is definitely not the same. The outdoor landscaping has been neglected, the staff at the front desk were not nearly as friendly as the people who were there previously, and who knew me by name when I checked in. There was no information given regarding continental breakfast, I don’t even know if that was a thing anymore and the placard in the room giving the Wi-Fi code was dated and incorrect information listed. I called the front desk to get the correct information. There was a sign to please turn keys in when checking out which I did and the gentleman who was at the front desk didn’t say good morning, how was your stay, nothing I was very disappointed with the new operations. This used to be my very favorite place to stay because of the feeling of being in a resort instead of a hotel, but my mind has been changed. Not sure if this will be my next vacation itinerary or not. As I said, I stay regularly at least twice a year

This hotel exceeded my expectations! I came for a short trip by myself and flew in at noon. Of course my room was not ready but I really had no where to go so they offered me the key to the pool area. The friendly staff, especially Morgan, also offered places to eat... the grounds were beautiful and immaculate and so was my room. Bed was comfy, shower had great pressure and everything worked! My ironing board was busted and they replaced it promptly. Short walk to a few restaurants, grocery store and a CVS so I didn't need to hassle with driving anywhere and it was only 15 to 20 minutes back to the airport. Perfect place to stay. There was a fire station near, but my room did not face it so it wasn't bothersome to me. Pool area was clean with plenty of chairs and loungers. Continental breakfast was a life saver, basic and good... wish they opened sooner than 7am. Outside area was quiet, clean and I felt safe walking around. I appreciated they had a smoking area. I would definitely stay here on my next trip out west!

Breakfast is very good. Location is great, near restaurants, near I-5, just 15 minute drive to Laguna Beach. Firehouse nearby can have irritating siren at times. Grounds are very attractive. Rooms are big. This visit, I did not get maid service as requested. Used this hotel many times due to location and price.

Location was so great! You can walk to a lot of restaurants and there's an excellent farmers market on Fridays across the street. The hotel itself is really clean, quiet, and charming. Nice breakfast available each morning. The pool is nice, hot tub available, fitness room is there too. Freeway is easy on and off too. I'd definitely come back!! Highly recommend ❤️

It was a very nice, clean room. It was very close to many restaurants. The main reason we stayed is the close proximity to Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach and it was a great price. The breakfast in the morning offered scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, cereal, juices, fruit and different types of breads.

I loved that the room was close to Pageant of the Masters.The room was nice and included a fridge and microwave. Although it included free breakfast, it didnt have a waffle maker which was disappointing. Also they didnt replenish bacon and there were no breakfast potatoes.Over all our stay was good.
