Comfort Inn Charlotte

The parking lot has huge holes and the spaces are so sporadic people were parked all over the place. We stayed 2 nights and our room wasnt touched after the first night. I had to go to the desk to ask for fresh towels. We were told breakfast would be open later than what it was, but the staff did assist with getting us what we wanted.

Room looked outdated. Wall plug loose, toilet seat hard to move up/down and appeared to be glued and taped. Ice machine’s didn’t work

Mold in tub. Vanity veneer peeling off. No fig or micro. Breakfast was bare minimum and not fresh

The guy at the front desk was very nice. The parking lot is very uneven, had to choose carefully where to park my car sinceRoom was fine, but shower was slightly dirty and there were visible stains on the carpeted floor of the room. The walls are extremely thin, so you hear every single time someone in a nearby flushes a toilet, takes a shower, or their phone or alarm rings. Vending machines also didn’t work, so we had to wait for a refund on that and for them to put an out of order sign on it so other guests didn’t waste their time. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful stay, this may not be for you. If you just need a cheap place to stay, then it works fine.

The most uncomfortable bed ever, the shower was terrible, cold air blew in from under the window unit-no stopping it, the breakfast had the worst coffee ever made with only one non-dairy creamer-honestly-gas stations offer more creamer options and better tasting Joe, as I walked in from parking I tripped over chunks of broken up blacktop and nearly broke my ankle. The parking was tight, too small and quite an awkward lot to maneuver in. Overall just a fubar experience. Horrible.

Staff very polite and room was clean. Pool heater broken and breakfast was a let down.

WiFi sucked. Shower head was broke. Water damage on the ceiling. Bathroom had a big water Stain on the wall. Electric outlet covers broken. Baseboard was off the floor laying there. Pool was really cold like 1st of June. Parking lot not big at all. Breakfast was really disappointing.

Breakfast was terrible. Ice only available on 3rd floor. Room keys had to be reprogrammed 3x. Only 1 packet of regular coffee in room

Upside, the staff was very helpful and nice. Downside, the tea and coffee in the room was dusty and water logged, the lotion and soap looked sketchy, the sink had no stopper, and the bed creaked and felt lopsided. The parking lot was an unshoveled and treacherous to walk to the door. Not great overall.

No hot water for a shower, 2 days of that. Construction area not tarted off or plastic over the area with food being served not 20’ away. Parking lot covered in ice, friend fell upon arriving. Not enough spaces to park cars for a sold out hotel.

I think the property has had severe water damage. The lobby smells like mold, there are visible signs of damage on the wall paper. The bed was comfortable. Water to the shower was close to non existent

Nice budget hotel. Staff were friendly and room was clean.

we killed 4 insects. fridge was dirty. sticky stains on the carpet. the up stairs smelled of mold and the room was worse. on the second floor, by the elevator, the door to what ever looked like some one literally broke in. it has a padlock to keep it closed. the shampoo was leaking in the shower and my wife almost fell and the staff only said it was corporate that wanted the shampoo in the shower. i told her to replace it with a new one. who ever gave it a 2 star, gave it to much.

The property advertises free full breakfast however, during the winter months, they do not offer free full breakfast. I like the fact that they are renovating. Our room smelled horribly of mold and mildew.

The room was clean but the bathroom was not. The bathtub had soap scum around it and black spots in the cracks. I had to clean it before I could use it. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper, the tissue box was empty, and we didnt get any coffee togo cup in our room. The wall are paper thin we could hear our neighbors TV all night. If I had the choice to stay at a different hotel i would have. The breakfast is so bad, grey microwaved sausage and powdered eggs gross, I think the front desk person had to man the desk and do the breakfast restocking, poor woman was running back and forth. Comfort inn really needs to have more staff on hand, especially if most of all the room were occupied. The staff that was there was wonderful!

A little updating would be great. Bathtubs were a little old and dated. Same with the elevators and vending machines. Just felt a little run down.

Not a hotel to get any sleep slamming doors running in hallways till 1am.asked nicely if they could move their party from hallway was told f you this at midnight got worse after that.just stayed up and checked out at daylight.felt bad not leaving nice tip for maid as usually do but couldn’t bring myself to tip for horrible night.

Great place to stay nice,clean and quiet

Would not recommend. Showed up 1 hour early for check in and women at front refused to even check if room was available. The shower i had to turn to full hot to get lukewarm water. Vending had no diet or sugar free options. The bed was like laying on concrete. Overall a bad experience and will not stay there again.

The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was nice too. AC worked very well. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked with towels for our party of three. Elevator worked well and was a pleasing to have use of. The only negative was the need for a plumbing repair to the toilet fill valve, which was leaking, constantly running at a slow flow, but did flush the toilet. I would also add that the tub bottom was slippery and would benefit from some anti-slip strips. The iron and board were helpful. The continental breakfast was adequate for our needs. Overall a good room at a fair price.

Staff polite and seemed attentive but the hair dryer (wall mounted) was broken and they weren’t going to do anything about it until I insisted. (I had wet hair and was on my way to my uncle’s funeral.) They let me go to an empty room to use one that day. I stayed 2 more days and problem was never fixed so didn’t wash my hair after that. When I asked again they said they didn’t have another hair dryer. I think they could have gone across the street to Walmart to get one or moved me to another room but it didn’t appear they considered this a problem. Also, the hotel looks refurbished inside - it appears there may have been a fire fairly recently which may be the reason- but the outside is uninviting. Weedy flower beds, poor lighting, bad paving in parking lot.

It's okay; on the surface, it looks clean, but the more you look, the more you find things that have been neglected, dusting surfaces that are not considered high touch or contact (Cords to the bedside lamp, desk chair legs), not vacuuming the edges of the rooms/halls with a hose instead of just the vacuum. The actual front desk staff only met one, who was wonderful; the filler "Staff" (Family to the owner) not so much, they are not trained and it shows. I left my VERY EXPENSIVE tumbler sitting on a table in the lobby, I called as soon as I realized I had done this to have the Front Desk grab it and place it back with them until I returned. I returned and it was still sitting in the lobby, thankfully no one took it. My room was untouched by Housekeeping, my stay was 4 nights, and their 'policy' is every third day unless asked. I did ask on the third day and I returned from my outing to a room full of trash and no clean towels, these were the only items I asked the Front Desk to have Housekeeping stop in. The other members of my party had the rooms serviced and they were there 1 less night. Yes, I did remove the DND sign before I left for the day. The lack of communication and follow-through is out of control. I give lots of breaks and chances BUT my room being ignored after asking for 2 small things to be done is my done point. I WILL NOT recommend and most likely will not return.

Imagine a manager saying that you should have just checked out when you call them out on your hotel room smelling like cigarette smoke? This entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke and I personally am allergic to smoke. When brought up, I was told that I was unable to get another room as they were "Sold out". This was untrue as several parties of the wedding had gotten to change rooms. When I called, the woman was so nice and accommodating and said she understood and would give me a 50% refund. Two weeks later, I call to check on the refund and the manager, refusing to come to the phone told her if I had an issue with the room, that "you should have just checked out". and totally disregarded that the staff had tried to help the situation and the entire hotel reeked of smoke. After asking the employee to ask the manager to call me, he has refused to do so stating he is "too busy" to handle customer service issues. Ridiculous.

Close to Walmart and easy access to main road

This motel was the closest to the cycling event registration I needed to attend very early the next morning. Great that the motel was excellent. The visible staff, one great woman, was able to share what I needed in the locality.

Great location, water pressure in the shower was nice and smaller hotel not too busy. Very happy with our stay!
