Very clean and comfortable, pool room and spa great, staff very nice. Excellent breakfast choices. I would come back.

We traveled 6 hrs. and made reservations there because there was a hottub. Upon arrival late in the evening, the hottub was unavailable! The pool had COLD water being pumped into as verified by other guests, also. When brought to management attention, they sai “you could have went somewhere else! Again. ARRIVING IN THE EVENING

Pool needed desperate cleaning, bugs and centipedes in the water ceiling not in good shape part of the ceiling covers were removed and it was filthy. You couldn’t use it. I would like a partial refund for that. Also I booked one room, they booked two. I booked two nights they booked one.

The lighting was horrible and buzzed. Fortunately I brought my own lit makeup mirror The bathroom was tiny. The sheets were scratchy. Despite quiet hours we heard people running up and down the halls. Housekeeping staff was good for the rooms but the common areas were messy and dirty. The pool and hot tub need a good cleaning.

Quieter being just a short drive from downtown area-very comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub area and single room perfect-did appreciate being able to see the lake form the room!

The pool was clean and so was the entire hotel. We had a good breakfast.

My husband and I reserved the patio suite and I am so happy we did. It made it so much easier for him to take his service dog (75 lbs) outside. We were there the last week of Aug and I spent hours sitting outside on the patio reading/drinking. Lounge chairs provided. There are 4-5 tables and chairs in the courtyard where our patio rm was located. All grassy area except some flagstones in the center. I never saw another guest outside in the courtyard so it was like we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast has a good variety. The hotel could use a little sprucing up. It is showing some wear and tear but hasn't reached "dated" just yet. We were comfortable, felt safe and the place was very clean.

Dust on surfaces in room unacceptable. Mold (lots of it) in the outdated shower unit is inexcusable and very unhealthy.

For almost $200 a night my expectations were a little higher. While the room was not dirty, it didn't feel clean. Just an older hotel, but just didn't feel it was worth the money. We actually left one night early because my daughter has anxiety about cleanliness, so we just drove home thru the night rather than stay.

This hotel is so dirty and the room had so much mold in it. The staff was very unprofessional and they definitely need training.

It looked clean but our room smelled of stale smoke and piss. The smell overtook the room. It was awful. When I asked to be moved, the receptionist said all rooms were booked and offered a bottle of carpet spray. I would never stay there again.

The hotel is CLEAN and the staff was really nice. The hotel is not “updated” but the price was great and it was clean.

This might have been the worst hotel, in regards to service, that I have ever stayed. The check-in process was good and the guy that checked us in was very nice. Sadly, everyone else that I witnessed at the front desk never smiled when they were talking to me, or anyone else. Or, when we walked past the desk, they never looked up from their computer to even acknowledge you. The rooms had a little issue as well. The fluorescent lights above the bed and desk area did not all work. There was mold in the shower. When we opened up the window, there were a pile of dead flies in the corner of the sill. They put us in an adjoining room without asking if that was ok. Back in my hotel days, we made sure it was good with the guest before we put them in the room. If it was all we had, then we let them know instead of them being surprised by it. We could hear our neighbors talking very easily. The people above us were very heavy footed, so you could hear every step they made. When I asked about checking out early, I was told that there was a early check out penalty. What?? We were staying from Saturday to Wednesday, check out on Thursday. I asked on Monday evening and I was told that if I checked out early, they were going to charge me through Wednesday. I have never heard of that. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and responsive. The breakfast was good with ample choices. The accommodations were worth the price; I would stay here again.

I chose an accessible room with a roll in shower because we are older and have a hard time stepping into a tub. The bathroom and shower were huge and could easily accommodate a wheelchair. But, there is nowhere in the shower to place your shampoo or body wash (no shelf or ledge). It is inconvenient to put it on the floor when you have mobility issues. The shower was the hand held type on a hose. The problem was that there was nowhere to hang it in order to shower. There is a bracket but the shower head doesn't fit in it. So, I had to wash my hair with one hand while holding the showerhead. It was so frustrating and I ended up getting water all over the bathroom floor. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but a little dated. Over night it rained and the parking lot had two giant puddles and some guests had to walk through several inches of water while carrying all their stuff to get to their cars. Fortunately, our car was in a dry spot The breakfast was actually pretty good and plentiful.

The hotel is convenient to downtown Charlevoix and it’s relatively inexpensive. But the room is old and has a pocket door for the toilet/shower room. The sink is in the main room. And they have those small, square, hard pillows. So uncomfortable!

Bed was very uncomfortable, felt like I was sleeping on a hill. Definitely needs a new mattress. I did mention it to front desk

It isn’t far from everything. I was a little disappointed in that I paid extra for a water view…. Technically it was but not what you’d expect! Don’t waste $20 on that upgrade would be my advice!

Rooms are small and shower is weird

This is a good place to stay for one night. The staff were very pleasant and breakfast was decent. The rooms were very basic but the beds were not that comfortable. The walls are thin though so take your ear plugs or take a sleeping pill so it will knock you out enough not to hear anything.

This hotel is very basic. The check in was friendly and the breakfast service was fine. The room and bathroom were small, especially for the price, but was clean and quiet. Location is outside the main part of Charlevoix, but driving to what you need is not a problem. I suppose you’re paying for the location, since many Charlevoix accommodation choices are higher priced that this hotel. In the end, this hotel is not a good value, but will meet your needs if you have no other reasonable choices.

Staff helpful changing my check in date

No hot water, breakfast food was cold and undercooked. Staff was extremely unhelpful when notified of no hot water. Would not recommend or stay again.

Front desk staff was very unfriendly when checking in. Ignoring you as you walk in and just stand there waiting to be recognized. Finally was asked, are you checking in? I need an ID and credit card. Very blunt and rude. Will not stay again.

Room was not ready at check in. Told to wait outside in the courtyard and clerk would call. Never called. Came back in to find two different clerks and room was ready. No call was ever going to be made.

Starting with the Inn marking our ( my adult son and I) first nights reservation as “no show” and the rude woman on duty literally telling me “tough luck” until I stood my ground and demanded a room, which had ONE bed and a cheap rollaway, through the following morning when a room with 2 beds was given to us on a floor undergoing maintenance and painting where every wall was spackled and the room had a bathroom fan that emitted a loud screeching sound when turned on, ending with the entire bill being charged on the debit card that was only supposed to have $1 charged instead of using the card I made the reservation with. A gentleman behind the desk Sunday evening fixed the card situation although now I have to wait days for the $800+ charge to come out of my checking account and only gave,a $100 discount on my bill. The bright side was the jacuzzi and the great service provided from Jocelyn, who was lovely.

The gal who checked us in was unfriendly & unwelcoming. We tried being polite and friendly, but there was no reciprocation of courtesy from her. (We stayed at the same place about a year ago, and we remembered the same from her then, too.) In contrast, the breakfast was very good and the lady working it was lovely-so nice. No reason why the front desk worker shouldn’t have been nice too. It left a negative impression of this hotel. We will keep going to Petoskey next time, where customer service seems much friendlier anywhere we have ever stayed.

Was double charged for the room they took care of the double charge but the hold stayedthrough the entire stay

Our room smelled like urine so we were given another room that was better. The breakfast was nice and the rooms were nice. The front desk woman when we first arrived was less than hospitable. Very short and not warm at all. But the man that we interacted with to change rooms was very nice.

We stayed this past weekend and the Staff, Service and Hotel exceeded our expectations. Amanda, Jesse and Joslyn all made she we had everything we needed throughout our stay. From check in to check out it was a breeze and a great stay! Would stay here again especially for the location and friendly staff!

The hotel was great, the breakfast was very limited and the pool area definitely could use some work. We were given an accessible room with a walkout shower, and the design is terrible, while showering you fill the rest of the bathroom with water. They have a lovely courtyard out behind the hotel with loungers that you can sit and enjoy a morning coffee. It is a ways away from downtown so you are driving to the river or beach, its certainly not walkable.

This is an attractive property with plenty of parking. About a mile from the town center, it is convenient to area attractions. The standard rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast area is not large but the extended hours means it is not crowded. Beverages are available 24 hours. The kids enjoyed the well maintained indoor pool and the hotel provided extra towels at no charge.

Enjoyed the Charlevoix location. Free breakfast wasn't bad either. Also, short drive to Fisherman's Island state park!

A great place to stay. The Hotel and rooms were clean and well-maintained. It was close to downtown Charlevoix, which made it easy to get into town by walking or driving.

Facility as a whole needs work. Main entrance was dirty. Room was so so at best. Breakfast was bland and unenjoyable. Room had a really good bed though.

I liked how helpful the staff were, including providing a list of area restaurants. I liked the backyard seating area that was nice and sheltered. I liked the complimentary coffee, tea and hot cocoa. I was disappointed that the complimentary water basket was empty. The room we had felt a little small and cramped but it was clean and had amenities like a fridge and microwave. The breakfast seemed a little lean on healthier options.

Very convienent location for our needs with a very friendly staff. Some parts of the rooms need some updating. Nice warm breakfast daily.

Breakfast was served late. The make your own waffle was available. At 8:15am items became available. There was no hot food until about 8:30am. It was to open at 7:00am for breakfast. The coffee was excellent.

Breakfast was surprisingly good. I'm a gluten free vegetarian and I rarely can eat at hotels. I had scrambled eggs and yogurt. And coffee.

The food was terrible. No eggs for breakfest. The biscuits ran out, the lady put more out and they were frozen! The room was decent for the price but the food service was a joke.
