Booked the hotel pretty last minute for Band of America Competition. Location was great, we were not too far from the Alamodome. HEB was super close to the Hotel, as well as the Market was also not too far. Both front desk attendees were very polite. Breakfast was great, had a good variety for on the go. The lady cooking was also polite and sweet. The room was pretty nice and comfy. i really liked the door btwn the beds and the sitting area, i am an early bird, so closing the door to not wake up everyone as i watched TV was a plus. The room did have a certain smell, not a bad smell. but we always carry an air freshener plug in, so it didn't really bother us. Parking is limited and was only allowed 1 spot. Kinda sucks when we came in three different cars. We were all coming from different areas to enjoy the BOA. (Pearland, Corpus Christi, and Spring Tx) Other than the parking, our stay at the Holiday Inn was pleasant.

Room was nice. Tub was disgusting. Pool was DISGUSTING. Looked like a nasty tub that doesn’t get cleaned not to mention cigarette buds and dead bugs were floating in it along with tons of leaves as if it never gets cleaned. Elevator broke down once while we were there and was extremely slow, took 5 minutes to get from 1st floor to 4th. Staff kept giving us attitude every time we asked for more towels and didn’t want to give them to us. We were a family of 5 but yet they only gave us 2 towels and were shocked everyday when we asked for 5 new towels. (We put the do not disturb sign so housekeeping wouldn’t go in). One lady was watching us like a hawk during the week when we served ourselves breakfast, practically hovering over us. I almost asked her if she needed anything. On the weekend it was a different lady and she only came out to refill the food. I was impressed with how nice the room was until I saw the tub. Also the sheets weren’t clean. I pulled them off to put my own sheets I brought and they had lipstick or something on the bottom part. I was absolutely disgusted with the pool. While I was In there I was hoping we wouldn’t catch anything and instantly wished we had gone to a different pool.

We were only allowed one parking sticker, our sink was stopped up despite numerous times telling them. Finally I attempted to unstop it myself with no luck. The elevator was horribly slow. Staff is super nice though!

It was too hot in the lobby and hallway. It was set up for 69 but had 79 and still no one bother to fix. Inside room only bedroom was cool not living area and bathroom was like oven. Breakfast was awesome. Best breakfast ever in the hotel.

The shower wouldn’t drain, we asked for maintenance, hair from previously customers in water, very gross. Maintenance said he couldn’t do anything. Very nasty. There were other holiday inns in the area, pick them. Elevator always dirty. Only one elevator for 4 floors. Breakfast was ok, but instead of orange juice, they had orange soda.

When we got to our room, we noticed an odd smell, probably due to the renovations that were underway. This caused us to check the room a little more closely. The bathtub had hair in it. The microwave was dusty and the in-room refrigerator did not work well enough to keep my wife’s insulin cool. We went to the pool, and there were some dirty clothes at poolside and a wad of hair in the pool. I received a text from the hotel asking about our satisfaction. I notified them that we were not happy and were considering checking out. No response. Totally disappointed.

This Holiday Inn is a bit dated. The elevator is extremely slow, better to take the stairs. The room…The floor was a bit sticky and the room itself had a stale odor to it that was persistent. Don’t know if it was the carpet or the a/c filters but it was bad.

I got this room for my kids for the Christmas holiday and it was a great stay according to them! Breakfast was good and free parking in a downtown that charges for parking just about everywhere! Would definitely book here again

The hotel is conveniently located, but is dated and unclean. Had I not pre-paid I would have walked. The couch cushions were not put back correctly and you could tell the cleaning staff wasn't thorough. The real kicker was after returning from dinner, I went to put away my leftovers in the refrigerator and there was old food in there that wasn't mine.

This hotel was clean and well-taken care of! I really appreciated that and also the very courteous staff that I spoke with. Even though there was usually just one person present at the desk, she remained very patient and professional even when there was quite a few people present waiting to be served. The breakfast buffet was well-prepared and there was a variety of choices to chose from. They never ran out of food in the buffet either, which was great!

AC air smells bad, like the air ducts/filters have not been replaced or cleaned in a long time. My whole family got allergies because of the air conditioning. Also, we arrived at our room and there were hairs everywhere, there were some in the shower and in the bed sheets, sheets had a lipstick mark and we asked to be changed from that room, front desk person stated they were full that night and offered to change sheets and change our room next day. We planned on stay just one night and contacted Expedia to cancel the next night and management refused to provide a refund. It was a mess.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay here. This hotel is disgusting. The hotel furniture was dirty. There were brown stains on the pull out bed. No blankets for that bed either. I had to go ask for extra blankets. The toilet did not flush. I had to keep filling the tank with water from the ice bucket in order for it to flush. There was only one remote for both of the tv's in there. The outlets did not work. There were people partying in the hallways all night long. They had a child working at the front desk at night. He looked to be about 12. This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed at.

I should have gone with the reviews, this place is a mess. The elevator was not working, my room had an awful smell and the walls with mold. I was not able to open the door to the room and called front desk for help, I guess the lady did not believe me until she came up and tried herself ( she had to call a locksmith so we can get our belongings). I booked the room for two nights but decided to just do one ( I hope they keep their word and credit me back)

Checked into our room late and discovered our room had mold up on the wall. Front desk came and took pictures and assured us we could change rooms first thing in the morning, which we did and then only give a 10 percent discount for the inconvenience

The hotel itself we fine, nothing to rave about. However, the stay was awful. We could not sleep due to a bar next door with loud music that played past 1am. We simply wanted to get a good night's rest but that was impossible at this hotel. We called the front desk and they were aware of the issue and said they'd call the police and make a complaint. Either way, I would not recommend staying here if you want to rest well.

I feel as though the room was too pricy for what we got. Comforter had a stain that looked like blood. Air conditioner smelt like urine. The shower head was pretty dirty as well. Overall, the location is great. It’s easy to get to. Parking lot was nice. And although it didn’t look too clean (shower head, comforter) the room did smell very nice and clean. Breakfast was great and longer than other hotels which is a plus. I’d stay here again if it was cheaper.

Loved the size of the suite and the cleanliness of the room and facilities. Breakfast was alright but free so no real complaints. The rooms were pretty dimly lit and that was my only slight issue. Overall, I’d stay again. I went with my fam to check out the riverwalk for a weekend trip.

The girl is receptionist was excellent. I didn't get her name was she was on top of it. It was a very busy week and she handled everything with a smile. TV was not working and had it serviced immediately. Great overall. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this property about 2 years ago which was fine. This year it wasn’t good at all. Staff was not helpful and rude. They gave us a room with a window facing the pool that was super loud. Since the room phone didn’t work we had to walk to the front desk to ask if they would address the party happening at the pool. They were rude when asked and went out about 10 or so minutes after that. We needed to use the washer & dryer but they only have one for all guests to utilize so that didn’t happen. Breakfast wasn’t great and just seems like the new owners are cutting costs wherever they can

We had a great time at this hotel! We came for the weekend and found it very accessible to get to downtown. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices and the staff are very nice and refill items. The hotel is very clean and the suites have lots of room if you plan to visit with family. We had an even better experience thanks to Maria our front desk agent who checked us in! We were able to have a comfortable stay thanks to her attentiveness and we were able to find a room that worked with our schedule. She goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome :) We definitely recommend this hotel; if you are planning to visit for a short stay like us or if you are booking last minute the process went smooth for us.

II definitely rate the staff 5 stars. They were friendly and helpful. But the property wasn't at all what it looked like on the website. It is in the middle of a commercial area with lots of road construction. Yes, you could walk to the Riverwalk in about 20 minutes, which was okay during the day, but not okay at night--very little lights and scary intersections. The room was a suite but had just the bare necessities, no art or dishes in the kitchen. In general the hotel needs a major facelift. The elevator looked awful. The breakfasts were good, though.

Location was apt, very close to the Alamo, 2 minutes drive. The breakfast was awesome. Only downside is that the coffee maker in the room seems to be dormant so haboured insects. But in all, it was a great experience. The kids enjoyed the pool, the gym and all. I rate it a 4.8

The hotel is close to the Market Square in San Antonio, and not far from the Riverwalk. It seems run down and needing lots of small repairs, but nothing glaring. Nothing to complain about...but

Booking thru Expedia we saved on our room plus we can always count on the free breakfast saving us more money on our trip. There was a street biker bar behind the Hotel that played there music very loud until 10pm. A bit annoying trying to sleep however they did shut down at 10pm.and all was fine again. Make sire you book a room on the front of the hotel. Otherwise the hotel and staff was great.

Perfect for what we needed: a clean, nice, big room where I felt comfortable. The breakfast was a hot mess, overcrowded in the tiny space with only one way in and out. The pancake machine stopped working right when my kid got to it. Luckily, we decided to leave for breakfast, but some people depend on eating breakfast there to save money, which is terrible.
