Mountainside Villas at Massanutten by TripForth

The place was beautiful and exactly as pictured. The only downside was indoor pool hours where so short we didn’t get to utilize that. But would definitely return. Good family vacation.

This place was amazing. The check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. The resort area is huge, we were able to enjoy the pool, arcade, miniature golf, go cart and bumper cars just a short drive from our villas. There were other activities that we didn’t get to enjoy because of our short stay but there’s always something to do. The Villa exceeded our expectations, plenty of room for the entire family. The only negative thing we found was that the bedrooms or bathrooms didn’t have locks for privacy. Also the internet was unusable on the first day, however maintenance was sent to correct it first thing in the morning.

Everything in the stay very well Very comfortable but the activities are not active many days of the week and on line don’t says nothing about that I was there for three days and I couldn't enjoy any activity. I left very disappointed with my family because we didn't do anything Very bad organization and the water park wasn't open either Very bad that they don't let you know before making the reservation because if that were the case I wouldn't have booked

What a wonderful find! We were looking for a fun place outside of D.C. Condo was spacious, updated and clean. Close to hiking, nice pools and grounds.

These Condo townhomes truly have in home a large Jacuzzi tub and private 2 person Swedish type Sauna which is wonderful after a day spent skiing or snowboarding! Spacious Condo with so many amenities! The large kitchen has the quietest washer and Dryer to get your wet ski or hiking clothes clean and dry!

The Mountain Villas were great! Bigger condo than I expected, great amenities- we had access to the Rec centers and went to the arcade twice. Everyone was very nice, will definitely stay here again.

It was fine a lot of activities were broken or closed would recommend

All the attractions were closed! Like all of them and crazy overpriced. They get you there with lies expect all the recreation to be closed

They closes pool on weekends. That doesn’t make sense since most people will visit on weekends

There seemed to be great things to do for the family pre-purchasing for activities highly recommended but the rec options seem to be great as well. Great last minute get away

Overall it was pretty good but the property was dirty and old. Washer and dryer had mold and the bathrooms were not well maintained. This will be my first time and the last time will stay at this resort.

The rooms were not cleaned well. Things left from previous people under the beds.

The place was nice, besides the beds! They were not comfortable at all! I have been in pain for the whole week after our stay because of the beds. Also, we found some things left behind from people before us, so cleaning wasn’t done properly. People at front desk were nice.

Great environment and very clean

we loved the mountain views, the counter top cutting board & counter top grill ( however we didn't have the pans to cook with they had been ordered we where told ) we had to sign out a griddle. I didn't like that the place was dusty my husband kept sneezing. The jacuzzi tub wasn't cleaned properly. we ran multiple cleaning cycles and black stuff kept coming out of the jets. also the over head fan cover in the bathroom fell on my husbands head as he was entering the bathroom during our second night stay. he did get a chair had me to hold the chair while he put the fan covering back up in the ceiling where it fell from. we wasn't at all satisfied this time as we was just there for 2 nights for valentines day and we absolutely loved our stay. that's why I rebooked it for my husbands birthday we where so impressed. when we arrived to this unit we wasn't impressed. I asked for a partial refund for the unit not being properly cleaned but received a this booking is non refundable no matter what that says a lot about this property they can put you in a unit no matter what the condition etc.. and they still get paid regardless if your happy or not. we've been coming here since 2019 and we've stayed at a bunch of different properties and this last one wasn't what we expected at all. the lady at the front desk knew this unit wasn't up to par she was just killing us with her kindness once we entered the unit we understood why. it wasn't anything like the last one we just left from.

We waited for late check in because the condo is not yet ready. After 45 min of wait they told us that the room is still under inspection but if we waive the inspection we can go to the condo. We said No because it can be charge to us if anything there us broken. After a while of getting a manger they told us the room is ready, we went for a 10 min drive & the place is still not cleaned. Beds are not made, all dirty sheets & towels are still on the floor, kitchen is dirty. Tried to call the front desk, no one answers, no voicemail. We went back 10 min drive & spoke to supervisor Ashley & front desk Natoya who assisted us to get a ready place. It is almost 7pm when we get to our condo & settle.

Property is quiet and clean, would come back for ski season. Lots of dining options and close to shopping area.

Me and my family enjoyed our trip to massanutten. You can tell that the townhomes are outdated compared to the condos that me and my husband stay in when we visit. But it was very comfortable and provided anything and everything that we need. Overall spacious stay with a good price.

Condo was very nice and clean. Mountain Views and peace n quit was the whole point of the vacation. This is one of my favorite places.

Nice place with a great view

Nothing much has changed in 10 yrs. That statement is both good and not good. Have stayed many times here and will again so this review is observational and not negative. Overall a good value for the accommodations, housekeeping is great, unit super clean, desk staff and maintenance are friendly and responsive. Units are well equipped. Outside could use more trash pickup. Internet service was awful and occasionally non-existent. A problem for tv watching and no remote work time. Cable is awful, too. A spring cleaning would be a good idea. Counters, floors, etc., all spotless but things like thickly dusty blinds, cruddy caulk in the shower and around windows, bad paint touch ups, etc., make it seem more 1-star than the 3 it otherwise deserves. IDK if all units got the washer/dryer upgrade but it’s a major plus even though the dryer wasn’t awesome. A few things to know before going- some units have STEEP stairs up to the front door which also has steep stairs. My athletic kids said the walk up was more tiring and leg-fire inducing than skiing all day. Not much to be done there and we didn’t die but I’ll be more careful to request a non-Everest unit next stay. Unit kitchens are very well equipped but rather like an outer banks stay it’s BYO salt and pepper . I knew it in advance but if you’re going to use the kitchen, you’ll need to bring basics- grocer or Walmart is 10 miles from resort. It is absolutely super great for big family stays.

Great property, great view and very hospitable management. The only issue was the sofa bed matress was uncomfortable and need replacement.

Nice property spacious

Inside the property was beautiful and very spacious. However, the outside accessibility was challenging.

The property was great for two families. The bedrooms and the loft beds were great. Living room with High ceiling and stone fire place was great.

Plenty of space. Clean. Had 9 deer show up to the back door one morning. Very cool! The only negative was the early morning call to sell a timeshare while I’m off and get to sleep in for a change. Just unplug the corded phone when you get there. Easy fix.

The property itself met my expectations and was pleasant to stay at, however, upon check-in i was told that there would be an extra cleaning fee (expedia wont let me include the price but it was a good amount). I was a little surprised and wished they had made that more clear before i booked the property, but at that point i had to pay the fee. Following that, we were given a checklist of our duties upon checkout that included stripping the beds, washing all dishes, taking out the trash, returning the thermostat to its original setting, and dropping off all parking passes and the key. A tip envelope for the housekeeping was also left as a suggestion, which i did think was ridiculous because we did some of what i would expect housekeeping to do at any other hotel. Not sure if we would stay here again.

Exceeded our expectations! Place was very clean, very quiet, & staff was very friendly. We were surprised to wake up each morning to lot of deer right outside our window, I think this was the best part! We loved this place & will most definitely be back!

Horrible place to stay!! They are extremely unprofessional and they will try to find ways to over charge you!

We have stayed there twice. It is a very nice place. We had a small issue and it was corrected within minutes. Will certainly stay there again.

The entire stay was awesome.. from the friendly service and staff, to the overall atmosphere and events or festivities in the area. The building was perfect and the Natural Surroundings including animals and views were great as well. We didn’t need to reach out for anything, but if needed, I’m sure they would have promptly responded. -Success!

Great place for family. It was our second time staying there. There are many activities for kids during summer and a hiking place with a nice view. The property is nice with jacuzzi and a sauna in the main bathroom downstairs. We stayed in a town house with two bedrooms and a mezzanine with twin beds. Only problem we had was the washer not working properly. The property is surrounded by nature and mountains. You see deers everywhere!

Chose this lodging while visiting our Granddaughter who is entry JMU. She brought her laundry with her and took advantage of the washer & dryer. Lots of deer in area; able to view from balcony. Also saw one ground from balcony. Easy access to Shenandoah National Park for great hiking and fall colors.

This place is a hidden gem! I read a lot of reviews about the older decor. Although some things were dated, they were in great condition. The place was very clean and well kept. Perfect location near the ski resort, snow tubing and other mountain activities. Walk to the ski resort took about 10 minutes. We had 6 people in our place and there was plenty of space. We are already planning our next getaway to this place. Hard to believe it cost wayyyyy less than other places up there.

All was great. Spaciou property, fully equipped, 2 mins drive from the slopes and yet v. quiet with deer walking around. Second time we visit and continue to be very happy with it!

Cost was high for what it was. 5 tube rides for 40 dollars per person is crazy. Resort food prices for less than average food. Check out at 10am but cannot check in until 4pm

What a lovely and secluded area. Lots of wildlife and views of the golf course. Beautiful 10 minute drive on the resort property to the condo. However the decor, furniture and kitchen furnishings were just the bare minimum. If you are used to renting condos in other resorts, you will be disappointed. If you are satisfied with average and just want to get away from it all, then this unit is for you.

Fresh mountain Air a lot of deer food on a resort was awful don't need any of the restaurants on the resort food outside the resort like the barbecue restaurant are awful we went to Harrisonburg to eat the pool and miniature golf were closed and the food at the resort was way overpriced and it was sorry looking and tasteless and bland went to Harrisonburg everyday had a blast chopped went out to eat spent the whole day in Harrisonburg every single day I was there just went back to the unit to sleep and have a couple of cocktails cuz the bar and the resort was overpriced $15 for one beer yeah okay where we stayed at it was amazing a two-story unit with two king size bed I jacuzzi tub a steam room but a lot of steps the unit was spotless they called us one time for timeshare tour that's all fine but we had to pay a resort fee on top of the fee we pay an Expedia and it wasn't refunded when we left there was another $100 added to the bill three out of five stars.
