The water park was awesome, staff friendly and area very relaxing.

This hotel room was good for the price. Older style and bathroom shower drain was slow. Very clean room which was most important to me! Overall very good for the price! Grounds were beautiful. Pool had too many people so we were not able to use pool.

This stay was just okay. The property was a little on the cheap. We booked online, but the amenities- the waterpark- wasn't clear on the website or in person at the front desk. We were also not sure where we were even booking into the resort when we were reserving online. They also try to get you to participate in a timeshare demo when checking in - no thank you! The waterpark wasn't part of the resort fee online and was too expensive. That was one of the whole reasons why we booked. The waterpark fee for a one-day visit for a family of four would have cost more than our condo stay for the whole weekend - over $300! This is crazy! The Virginia BBQ restaurant at the front desk was frustrating. They make you order your own food on the screen, and there is no one close by if you make a mistake or need to remove something from the order before finalizing. It was not straightforward where to pay, and we got our food delayed because we were supposed to go to the back of the restaurant to pay for our food. They played classic hard rock over the speakers when we went through the main hall and into the conference area. That was odd and made my young family feel uncomfortable.

Great location to access Appalachian Trail and National Park. Great food options and the spa was amazing,

Check-in was 5pm and the pool closed at 7pm Pool opened at 11 am the next day but check out was 10am? I felt like what the heck? We don’t have time to enjoy the pool and other amenities because of time restrictions. And of course, they wanted to talk to us about timeshare opportunities. Would not recommend at all! Maybe the villas are better but this hotel was bad news!

It is a shame the pool closes at 7 PM. It does not open till 11 AM. Try to tell that to your children when you're traveling

Lots of Amenities but this property is extremely spread out. You definitely need a car to get around. It is in the mountains so very hilly. It is difficult to walk to activities. We went Easter weekend so it was EXTREMELY busy, pool/hot tub were super crowded. Buyer beware: they will try to pitch you for a timeshare. There were several restaurants onsite which was nice.

The property was clean . Check-in was fast. Lots of fun activities for all ages.

The hotel looks great in pictures, but it’s just an average hotel. The strong pee smell was a major letdown, especially considering the price. It’s not worth it.

This resort is stuck in the 1980s. It's tired, not updated, and needs a good overhaul, but most importantly, needs a deep clean - and routine cleanings. Our room smelled like air freshener, was dusty, old furniture, and a much lower quality than we were expecting from such a highly respected resort. Customer service was lacking, as requests for our room were not met upon checkin and not actually sent to our room until nearly midnight. The resort itself seems like it might be nice in the winter, but we would not recommend the accomodations.

Room was very dirty and gross--stains on furniture, table, chipped furniture and vanity, toothpaste and pill on floor, etc.

When staff would pick up the phone, they were very unhelpful. The condo we stayed at was dusty and all five of us were sneezing the whole trip. 2 years ago we stayed in a cabin in a different part of the resort and that experience was a lot better. mostly booked this resort again for the cabin stay with the in-house sauna. Would not recommend condos. Would have appreciated them letting us know there were two rec centers

Very nice at check in and efficient. Rooms were super clean. We made use of the hot tub and we really enjoyed dining in the camp fire restaurant which was also very efficient and delicious

Roaches, dishwasher did not work. The arms on the furniture was filthy

Family friendly resort. Toilet in hotel room needed cleaning, had a gross mold ring.

The rooms we were given looked like they had not been used in quite some time. Musty smell. Dirty toilets, vanity. Outdated everything and the TVs did not work or were not connected properly. The bed was uncomfortable and the blankets were old and seemed like they had not been laundered.

Beautiful clean apartment at a lovely location. Very prompt guest services.

This place labels itself a resort but the condition of building 4 and 5 were extreme dirty. They allow pets and don’t properly clean between for guests that don’t want pets. The room was extremely outdated and they only give two towels for four people. Do not stay here if you are expecting resort like comforts. Way below subpar. No elevators. You have to climb all the way to the third and floor with luggage.

Not able to connect to WIFi. The staff on phone could not help

WiFi is absolutely horrendous. They really need to not advertise it as free WiFi but rather “we have WiFi that won’t even connect so don’t plan on connectivity unless you bring an Ethernet cord to run directly from the router”. Lucky we had the router access to do that.

The condo was very nice, spacious and clean. It was a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful land and outside areas but the inside of the building we stayed in and our room is OLD, very old and definitely needs an update

We were late arriving due to traffice issues & crawled into bed as soon as we unpacked. We rolled to the middle of the mattress but laughed it off, but by morning both of us were miserable and with RA, I was in pain. It took most of the next day and several phone calls to have a new mattress brought in. Two nights on the new mattress & it was starting to sag! The bed frame/box spring must be broken & the two times maintenance was in, they never bothered to check. Overall, underwhelmed with the property & the aggressive driving within the resort was beyond crazy!!

Seems their main source of income is selling time shares there. Room walls are paper thin. Can hear other rooms conversations word for word, even though they are not speaking loudly.

We stayed at the hotel which I thought was pretty nice very quiet as long as you don’t have neighbors , the walls are NOT sound proof .at times I thought our own door was opening and the bed shook when kids ran in room next door . Everything cost to do there except the pool which was extremely strong of chlorine and not very big. All in all it was ok, id go back during off season. If I were to suggest something it would be to put families with children under 13 in a different building than those not traveling with kids.

Check-in had a queue of approximately 15 other parties; the staff moved as quickly as they could through the queue, but it was still longer than I experience at the hotels I frequent. In order to get your parking pass, they send you over to a sales person who gives the tired, old timeshare pitch, "for 1h of your time, we'll give you...". Even when I told them immediately I wasn't interested and just wanted my parking pass, she kept pushing... not cool. I'd already received three calls in the week leading up to my stay, and knew a timeshare was an option. Not a fan of sales pitches; after a long day, just get me my key, so I can get a shower and start relaxing. Facility was clean, but aged, and some areas showed this badly (the bathrooms had stained sinks from water deposits). Overall, not an issue for utility, but not an upscale/resort feel either. Overall rating 3.3/5; improve check-in, skip the sales pitch, and modernize a few of the high-touch parts of the facility.

The resort was beautiful. The view from my room in Hotel 5 was great! I had a mountain view on the top floor and didn't even have to ask. It was super quiet and very clean. The staff were very helpful. Although I left the resort grounds a few times, there was no reason to. There was food and amenities to keep you fed and entertained. I just left and I'm already planning on going back!

I like the friendliness of the check in and check out staff. They made us feel really welcomed and when checking out asked how was everything. Great customer service.

There was a power outage around midnight with no help from staff on why and what was going on and a timeline. Around 2 am a fire alarm went off in the building and everyone rushed out, again no information and assistance from staff. The fire truck came after a very long time. Again no information and no help from resort staff. We went inside the condo around 3 am. Everyone was tired and exhausted! No assistance from staff to refund the stay. Terrible!

The room was good, but food left in the fridge, so not cleaned well. Twenty minutes after arriving a family entered our room with a key. They were given the same room as us. They apologized and went to get it fixed. Later that night, after returning from dinner, our key no longer worked. The front desk personnel refused to come give us a new key, so we drove 3 miles to the front office to get the newly coded key. My wife told them this was unacceptable, as they made the mistake and should have corrected it. The roads had no street lights, and it was raining heavily. A road to our hotel was closed, due to a car accident. Hydroplaning an officer told me. The woman at the desk was very condescending to my wife. The WiFi worked on my telephone, but not my wife's. I called the front desk again and they explained that the WiFi I was using was discontinued. They had a new one, for which she didn't know what it was named. I explained the old WiFi was working, just not on my wife's phone. The woman suggested I unplug the router, to which I explained there was no router. Again, very condescendingly, she told me, "Every condo has a router." New person, so condescension must be taught there! I explained we were not in a condo, but in a hotel room, to which she simply replied, "Oh. I don't know then." Finally on the day we checked out we decided to have breakfast at the facility. But at 9:30 am the dining area marked Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner was locked.

Tub was stopped up took all day to get resolved

When cheking in, a rude front desk lady pushed us (a family with two.small kids) hard to sign up for a two-hour morning "survey" session. When we said no to her offer with respect, she showed no respect to us.

The lobby was total chaos 50 plus people deep! Will never recommend this place to anyone ever! Customers standing in line for hours on their vacation! We had to come back 3 times during the day to check in because we were not ruining our vacation because of their lack of service! Finally at 1130 pm we got our room, So Sad ! Those pics were taken around 830 pm

Be ware of the timeshare sell. They try to sell you immediately at checking by claiming it is a free breakfast. I politely declined. I was very surprised to have my hotel room phone ring at 9:30 PM to have the front t desk attempt to sell me on attending a time share sales pitch for breakfast again. I was in awe at the I professionalism. I paid full price to stay here. And yet, I found myself the victim of nagging and repeated hard sales attempts.

An all season ski resort with clean comfortable rooms. Access is via winding mountain roads and accessibility to local restaurants or venues is limited.

Gorgeous property. Hotel room was a little dated. Had some issues checking in with the Expedia reservation. Cute little town.

It was unique in scenery and proximity to the slopes. Roads were cleared and parking adequate. Though it was accessible, the volume of people during our stay, 21-22 January 2024 was massive. Difficult to park near the slopes and restaurant as well as shops. Restaurants and shops were packed, we were unable to get a table for meal and drinks but was able to purchase coffee and coco's in the convenient store. We end up by ordering from Door Dash and Dominos for our meals, which delivered within 30-35 minutes respectively. My family used the snow tubing area, it was very organize and well maintained easy purchase of tickets online. Staff attentive and ready to assist.

This is the 2nd time in a year that we stayed in Massanutten Resort. We love the beautiful scenery and the comfort of the Regal Vista condo. Also, the resort is 20 minutes away from Shenandoah National Park where we love to hike. Will definitely come back again.

It is in a beautiful location. So peaceful. Lots of dining options on site if you just want to stay nearby. And so close to the National Park. It was perfect.

Beautiful!! - Nothing Is Walkable ; Make Sure You Have Transportation!!

This property is lovely as it sits in the Massanutten Mountains, staff was so friendly and professional. They helped every time I called. It’s very quiet, the wildlife was beautiful the whole mountain and resort is beautiful.

I would never stay here again. Too out of the way. You have to drive mikes and miles once on property to get to any villa or condo. Very dark roadways- no street lighting- so dangerous and terrible signage to know you are going the right way on huge property. Staff are not knowledgable and don’t explain things well- our condo entrance was across from check in but the kid didn’t mention that and gps took us all around the property on dirt roads, gravel roads- we didn’t even know if we were still on property and it was so dark and pouring rain- we drove 25 min from the check in desks area til we finally got to the condo

Clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious. We were there for JMU parents’ weekend, all the Harrisonburg hotels were booked or ridiculously expensive, Massanutten was a great alternative just 15 minutes away.

We stayed at Eagle Trace up near the summit. It was just stunning! I loved the condo! I loved the view. I would not recommend The Campfire Grill. Their menu is lacking. A lot. The staff were great. The water park was smell, especially for the $65/70 that I paid per day. Should be included in the condo fee.

It would be great if they had bed in breakfast type of place in the main building.they have a couple restaurant but only one open like around 8 am and the food is not good.also they should put microwave in every room. There was only one in the main entrance by the bending machine room every one use it they make a mess and don’t clean it smh. But overall great place to vacation if you like outdoor.they have a lots of activities.

Everything was great and the scenery was beautiful. Our fav restaurant was Campfire.

Our one bedroom casa condo was lovely, and we enjoyed our morning coffee on the little balcony. We were surprised there was nothing open in the resort for breakfast on a Tuesday. We appreciated the recommendation to drive a few miles to the Thunderbird Cafe for a good breakfast. Also disappointed we couldn’t use the hot tub at 8:45 pm when it wasn’t scheduled to close until 9:00. We had spent the day hiking and had been looking forward to relaxing a few minutes in the hot tub.

It would be nice if there were better food options and better service in the food places that are there.

Our room looked recently updated and plenty of space for our group of 6 , check in was easy at the south lobby , snow tubing was hit for the big kids and little ones too , water park was alittle crowded and the lazy was a little cool for winter time , for food base camp and virgina BBQ and pizza were both good

Cool place to visit with a lot of things to do. Staff was great and overall facilities were a bit dated/old but clean. Food options were ok at the resort but it was nothing to write home about. Probably better off taking the short ride to Harrisonburg.

The young lady at the check-in site was very nice. Once we got to our unit the keys did not work so we waiting an extremely long time for someone to let us in. After putting our luggage in the unit, when my 8 yrs old niece went to the bathroom, we discovered the bathroom toilet would not flush. Again we waited an extremely long time for a maintenance person to arrive. My husband ended up going back to the check-in-location to complain to a manager because we have not had dinner because we are now waiting on a maintenance worker. The manager gave my husband a $50 coupon to be used on the resort. The next day we used the coupon at the Woods Grill for a buffet breakfast. This was a terrible experience, our party consist of 3 adults and 2 children. The adult price for the buffet was $16 per person and the children’s price was $9 per child. We were never informed that the drinks were not included in the buffet price. In total we paid over $50 for drinks: 1 coca cola, 1 kid’s sprite, 1 kid’s apple juice, 2 cranberry juices, and 1 cup of coffee. Please understand that none of these drinks had refills and they did not contain alcohol. The waitress was very rude and she made sure that she mentioned; after we had eaten the meal that a gratuity of 18% would be taken out of our coupon. The menu indicated a gratuity of 20% for a party of seven or more and we were only a party of 5 who believes in tipping for excellent service. I will never go to this restaurant again.
