Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dayton West - Brookville by IHG

Property was under construction. Some facilities not working. I was not given advance notice that the renovations were ongoing. Dont think I would stay here if I had Known.

Great staff, nice pool, clean hotel.

Parking was limited for vehicles that are towing Uhual trailers if arriving late evening check-in.

Front desk clerk was great. Room is fine. The dispenser of shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottles was such a great idea instead of the little bottles! I was disappointed that the pool was not open. They had the doors propped open but needed a locksmith.??? That shut the pool down??? I think the people above me have an elephant in the room. Hopefully it stops walking around soon. I will want to go to sleep soon.

Even with the current construction, it was a great place to stay. Was there for a wedding and funeral. The staff was always ready to help and the room was very comfortable.

The parking area has good lighting and seems safe. The room… The carpet feels dirty, and both sink and tub/shower drains are clogged. I had to turn off the water twice while showering to allow the water to drain. My wife had over a half of sink of water trying to brush her teeth. The beds are comfortable and the A/C works great.

The property was good and clean. However they only had two luggage carts and both had flat tires, basically worthless!

Mushy odor as soon as you enter the property, shows the age. Main door didn’t get locked, noticed the next morning when stepped out for breakfast. Limited options at breakfast, pancake machine was out or order, No boiled eggs, milk isn’t refilled appropriately

Not much to say. Stayed for a night. Booked 2 rooms. They only had 1 reservation but had a second room available luckily. Wifi didn't work upon check in. Never found out why. Just used my phone.

Check in was terrible. I asked for a receipt and was told their printer was down but she could email me a copy. The email was blank and I did not feel like standing in line for another 10 minutes to recieve nothing again. Once back in my room, I noticed a lot of stuff that was very dirty. Too much to list individually. The bathroom needs to be gutted and remodeled. It is outdated, falling apart, moldy, and rusty. The sheets are frayed and really worn. Mirrors were filthy and cobwebs in the heating/cooling unit. The hallway ouside my room smelled really musty. I have stayed at a bunch of Holiday Inn Expresses and this one ranks at the bottom. I wish they all could be as clean, updated, and safe as the one in Indianapolis.

Floors were terribly dirty. Breakfast area was perfect. great breakfast and well maintained.

If you value clean, not broken rooms, don’t come here. We got there late, and I had called ahead twice. The first time around, the lady was rude but I let her know I’d be in late, then called again when we were 2 1/2 hours out, and they said that was fine as check in didn’t end until sometime in the morning (3 or 4). We got there and check in itself was pretty smooth! After being on the road for a long while, we just wanted to shower and sleep. We went to go shower and there was a dirty washcloth on the shower head. Then we went to actually shower and the shower drain was almost completely clogged. The water was up past my ankles in minutes. We went to go to bed and the room was hot, so we went to turn on the AC. The AC didn’t work. (The next morning we found out the person we talked to had known about the broken AC and the person the night before had not) After lying there for a while, it was too hot to sleep, so we went down to the front desk to ask what could be done. We get down there and are informed they are sold out of suites, which I knew as I’d checked the day before if they had any more suites available out of curiosity, and they did not. (why you would intentionally sell a room that you know has an issue?) She said they could move us and it had to be to a “deluxe room”, it was an “upgrade” she said. It had a broken door, crooked bath spout, & a clogged shower drain. Overall, a pretty terrible experience and I do not recommend coming here. Have pictures as well 😕

Walked into our room. Two empty beer bottles in the room along with dirty used q tip on the floor. I didn’t say anything as we were exhausted from traveling. You need to make sure your staff is actually cleaning and doing things right.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was modern, clean, and comfortable. The room was very large. The hotel was dog friendly. The pet fee was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Clean, quiet, no issues

This property was well kept. The common areas and the room were clean. The breakfast area was well stocked, clean and replenished. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. It is conveniently located just off the interstate and there are dining options and gas stations in close proximity

Easy to access from the highway, the staff was friendly and check-in was quick, so those were some positive things. Otherwise, our room smelled very musty, the furniture and carpet looked worn out, and the bathroom and shower were not cleaned very well. We only had to be there for 10 hours overnight so it was sufficient for that.

Blinds in the room didn’t work, bathroom sink would take a long time to drain

A nice hotel. Wish they had a hot tub. Only a pool is in this hotel. Nice breakfast. Easy access to the freeway. Rooms were very nice: Big and spacious. Breakfast was very good as are all HIE hotels we have stayed at. If you want a hotel next to the freeway, this is perfect.

Staff was great, room outdated, shower was dirty, and bed sagged on one side had to sleep in middle of king size bed.

I thought the room was clean. Room showed some wear n tear. The tub didn't drain while taking a shower. Reported it to front desk.

AC didnt keep the room cold

This was a great place to stay. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the air conditioner was quiet, and the breakfast was excellent. Staff was wonderful!

The room was spacious, clean and we loved the set up. The breakfast was quite good and the staff was so polite and genuine. Would definitely stay again when traveling.

They double charged me for the room. Even after I gave them confirmation number. Would not answer my questions about anything

We were given a room that was not ready. Bed not made and bathroom not cleaned. Moved to another room. When there, the toilet was broken! Then we were told there were no more rooms available with two beds. After much arguing, they “found” one. Of course it was ext to the elevator. Turned out to be not too noisy. We asked for some compensation but were told absolutely not! I have stayed here many times and recommended many times. Not so sure of futureuse

I was forced to change my stay dates. I tried calling the published number several times. NO ANSWER. Now i miss my 24 hour window. I contacted Travelocity for help. They experieced the SAME issue. Nobody at the property answered the phone. Travelocity is working with me get the stay date changed or a refund. As of now there has been no progress. LL

Convenient, nice staff, easy check-in

Despite it being late, I was greeted immediately and with a smile. Check in was seamless.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with all of my questions and check in went quickly and smoothly.

They gave us an unclean room first the gave one which was already occupied by someone else when we opened the door and finally they gave us an ok room at 11.30 pm

Everything was very good. Staff was friendly and accommodating and breakfast was excellent.

Clean, safe and convenient location

Great area-close to the freeway-we really enjoyed the hot breakfast in the morning. Lobby had cookies and juice available at all times.

Sign at main road was hard to see due to bushes covering the sign.

Perfect for traveling

I liked the location for my travel plans. I often stop at this exit for gas and I was familiar with the other options. The Holiday Inn Express Brookville did not disappoint!

It was close to family. Sign out front was not lit up at night and was hard to find at might.

Great breakfast!

Breakfast was a joke. That’s why we stayed here. No pancakes. No waffles. No bagels. Stale bread and the juice machine was broken. Milk was in a community pitcher. The lady taking care of the area was very blunt and rude. No hot chocolate either. We will not stay here again.

Breakfast was the best of all motels we’ve stayed at from Texas to New England.

The shower did not work. No hot breakfast was served. They were really sorry that I had experianced these issues.

There were a few places where it was evident from the wallpaper that repairs or upgrades had been made. Surprised that there was no ventilation fan in the bathroom. The breakfast was top notch. Everything was fresh and well prepared.
