A very basic property with no amenities and only provide 2 sachets of coffee, tea and sugar as a 'welcome gift' no further top ups provided, ended up buying my own. Obviously been spoilt in the hotels I use for work 3/4 times a week. Best of all had to pay 25 euros for the broken kettle. At least I didn't get charged for the glass I dropped. In fairness the place was clean but a few niggle points for me. It is located a short walk from the Old Town and is quiet.

This was our favourite hotel during our two weeks tour of Portugal. Probably the BEST location in Albufuria with fabulous views of the sea and town from our balcony. Just a very short stroll from the down town action but far away to ensure undisturbed sleep and peaceful days relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the local cat colony that live nearby. Location alone deserves 5 star but room was also excellent. Big, comfy bed but also a fridge that actually worked as well as tea and coffee facilities. No breakfast or bar in the hotel but that didn't matter as lots of options close by. We absolutely loved our 4 nights there and can't recommend it enough....just fabulous.

Perfect location to beach, variety of restaurants and close to intermarche grocery store. Kettle, tea, mugs, fridge to get the mornings started. Very clean/tidy room. Excellent housekeeping service! Front desk clerk very helpful. Main foyer furnishings are dated. We used the stairs to get to our room, so I can't recall if there was an elevator. There was some street noise late at night which might bother a lighter sleeper. A/C, TV and shower pressure was excellent. We stayed for 3 nights and would definitely return and stay longer.

We booked this as a pretty much last minute decision thing and didn't expect too much due to the time of year and late booking. I'm glad to say this exceeded our expectations in every department. The location was perfect, bruno and the staff were very helpful and could not be nicer, the place itself was spotless and well looked after. Everything we needed was a short walking distance or a quick taxi ride. I would most certainly return to Frentomar. Keep up the good work Frentomar! 10/10. :)

El hotel está un poco apartado del bullicio del centro de Albufeira, pero andando se llega en 5 minutos. Sin problema de ruido para dormir. Al lado del hotel hay un ascensor gratis para bajar y subir de la playa. No tiene parking, pero se puede aparcar en los alrededores. Nosotros hemos estado en el mes de junio. Puede que en julio y agosto haya más problemas para aparcar.

The staff was very nice, the hotel is well situated in the city. Important to note that the kitchen is open until 2PM. the cons, the AC was leaking the last 4 days, it was loosing a lot of water while turned on and there were no room available to switch so we had to spend most of the the AC turned off, or to move our beds in the middle of the room to turn it on and not get our beds wet.
The staff was very nice, the hotel is well situated in the city. Everything we wanted and more for our first stay in the Algarve/Albufeira. The accommodations were comfortable, we chose the top floor unit overlooking the beautiful beach that had very easy access and conveniently an elevator that would take you up and down, which was great after a day in the sun. Also enjoyed the markets close by to get water and beer to cool you down and also some great cafés that offered nice breakfast options or a mid afternoon snack. If there was one negative that I could say it would be the stairs leading up to the top floor can be a bit steep if you are carrying larger luggage, but Bruno was a great help with assisting us with that. Having a communal kitchen available was also nice. The location of this hotel was just what we needed as it was close enough to the hustling bustle of Old Town Albufeira but far enough that you can enjoy a decent sleep. Would definitely go back

Jättefint hotell med bra läge, väldigt rent och fint, vattenkokare och kyl på rummet samt gemensamt kök i källaren. Städningen var den bästa jag haft på något hotell oavsett prisklass.

Great hotel in a good location right at the front overlooking the sea. Well placed as you’re only a short walk into the old town square or the Marina. Spotlessly clean and staff are very friendly. The views from the front facing rooms are fabulous. Not all rooms have a balcony so just check when booking. Nice little restaurants and bars close by.

A great place to stay walkable to everything, including the cat jetty on your doorstep (community cats). Great host and services. Rooms with balcony have a great view. Only downside is that it can be noisy from the street in the day, and the you can hear everything in nearby rooms. (Doesn't put me off though as love everything else ).

Great location to the old town and beach. Just beside the beach lift, so no steps down or up. Renovated room. However, had an issue with hot water first night. Probably due to water tank on the roof was cold. All good later. Had a partial view to the ocean, but still great!

Die Lage war top, der Strand und sämtliche Restaurants leicht zu Fuß erreichbar. Toller Blick auf das Meer (wenn auch nur seitlich). Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für das leider viel zu weiche Bett und das sehr hellhörige Zimmer, man hat jedes Wort vom Nachbarn verstanden.

Bruno is fabulous gave great recommendations for restaurants. My room overlooked the beach. I did wish the balcony chairs were taller so I could see over the ledge. Perfect place to walk to old town & the pier.

Very disappointed, hotel is massively overpriced, room was unbelievably tiny, couldnt go on to balcony because the noise from the many building sites was absolutely awful, guy on reception was unfriendly, and unhelpful, wouldnt answer the phone when we were trying to find out why all the power had gone off??? ( leaving the many stairs in complete darkness, so we had to use our phone torch to get up and down ) albufeira old town was really dirty, the main square had to be seen to be believed ( and not in a good way) in fact the best thing about this accommodation was when we left and went to another hotel, so we could salvage what was left of our holiday.

The accommodation was good. All building and rooms have a very neat deco. They cleanliness in my room, all along my stay, was superb. The location was superb by the beach and Penaco Elevator for beach access. The hotel manager and/ or staff were rarely at the reception desk which was all odd to me. First time ever but I presume they were accessible at the ring of the bell. Despite the extreme heat that I could not get used I did enjoy my stay at Albufeira. Climate change may change our holidays habits all together, and end up taking holidays in Autumn or Spring only.
The accommodation was good. All building and rooms have a very neat deco. They cleanliness in my room, all along my stay, was superb. The location was superb by the beach and Penaco Elevator for beach access. The hotel manager and/ or staff were rarely at the reception desk which was all odd to me. Had a great stay at Frentomar. Bruno messaged us as soon as we booked and always messaged back if we had any questions. Staff made our bed and cleaned our room each day which was great. The location is brilliant and we had a beautiful sea view. Would definitely stay here again. Thankyou

Fabulous view from terrace. Frentomar is well situated in Old Town region with lots of restaurants and bars. Rooms are modern and kept very clean. Bruno and cleaning staff were very helpful and nice. My wife and I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

The staff at Frentomar were lovely and the room was clean. The location is extremely convenient, right near the stairs to the beach and about 5 minutes into the city centre.

Fantastic view of the beach and water. Easy access to the beach (steps away from the elevator), lots of restaurants within short walking distance in Old Town. 20 minute walk to marina for boat tours. This was my 2nd visit here and hope to go back again.

Great hotel in a good location right at the front overlooking the sea. Well placed as you’re only a short walk into the old town square or the Marina. Spotlessly clean and staff are very friendly. The views from the front facing rooms are fabulous. Not all rooms have a balcony so just check when booking. Nice little restaurants and bars close by.

Puede que en julio y agosto haya más problemas para aparcar.

Everything we wanted and more for our first stay in the Algarve/Albufeira. The accommodations were comfortable, we chose the top floor unit overlooking the beautiful beach that had very easy access and conveniently an elevator that would take you up and down, which was great after a day in the sun. Also enjoyed the markets close by to get water and beer to cool you down and also some great cafés that offered nice breakfast options or a mid afternoon snack. If there was one negative that I could say it would be the stairs leading up to the top floor can be a bit steep if you are carrying larger luggage, but Bruno was a great help with assisting us with that. Having a communal kitchen available was also nice. The location of this hotel was just what we needed as it was close enough to the hustling bustle of Old Town Albufeira but far enough that you can enjoy a decent sleep. Would definitely go back

Das Hotel war super anliegend praktisch mitten drinnen. Ich konnte alles was ich gebraucht habe per Fuß erreichen. Das Zimmer war sauber und groß mit Balkon. Es gab kein Frühstück aber ca 200m konnte ich biologisch frühstücken oder ca. 500m weiter normal bei Rossi sehr günstig und hervorragend. Nur als Tipp wenn Kaffee, Tee und Zucker im Zimmer verbraucht sind bitte nachfüllen. Eine nette Geste Ansonsten es hat alles gepasst.

This was our favourite hotel during our two weeks tour of Portugal. Probably the BEST location in Albufuria with fabulous views of the sea and town from our balcony. Just a very short stroll from the down town action but far away to ensure undisturbed sleep and peaceful days relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the local cat colony that live nearby. Location alone deserves 5 star but room was also excellent. Big, comfy bed but also a fridge that actually worked as well as tea and coffee facilities. No breakfast or bar in the hotel but that didn't matter as lots of options close by. We absolutely loved our 4 nights there and can't recommend it enough....just fabulous.

Perfect location to beach, variety of restaurants and close to intermarche grocery store. Kettle, tea, mugs, fridge to get the mornings started. Very clean/tidy room. Excellent housekeeping service! Front desk clerk very helpful. Main foyer furnishings are dated. We used the stairs to get to our room, so I can't recall if there was an elevator. There was some street noise late at night which might bother a lighter sleeper. A/C, TV and shower pressure was excellent. We stayed for 3 nights and would definitely return and stay longer.

Bruno is fabulous gave great recommendations for restaurants. My room overlooked the beach. I did wish the balcony chairs were taller so I could see over the ledge. Perfect place to walk to old town & the pier.

We had an amazing 4-night stay at this lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—they were all incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
