Hotel in the very center of Tirana The hotel is located right in the center of Tirana and therefore most sights can be reached easily by foot. Unfortunately, it has not elevator, so walking from the third floor to the breakfast place in the cellar can be difficult for some. Luggage is carried up by the hotel stuff. The rooms are furnished with wooden furniture that create an "antik" flair, not all of which are practical. Overall, I recommend the hotel.

We really loved our stay at the Brilant Antik. The location is great, staff is very friendly - especially Vlad who took great care of us! The rooms feel very authentic and we have recommended this hotel to others looking to visit Tirana. The parking can be a bit tricky to maneuver but the hotel staff helped us with this as well!

The hotel is truly stunning and the rooms were spacious, very clean (daily cleaning), comfortable beds and a good working shower. The hotel has a small bar serving hot and cold drinks inc alcohol throughout the day. The breakfast is continental with fried eggs and sausages cooked and finally the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Highly reccomend this hotel if you’re visiting Tirana and you are after a small, quaint and beautifully decorated hotel.

Trevligt gammalt hotel med perfekt läge nära borgen med många restauranger o pubbar. Hårda sängar, inget gratis vatten, trevlig personal, frukost kunde förbättras. Senare upptäckte vi att albansk frukost är lika var du än bor. Vårt rum var litet hänvisa till bilden här och beställ ett sådant. Parkering finns inte det är gatan utanför som gäller trång återvändsgränd men det fungerade.

GOOD - Location is excellent...minutes walk from airport bus stop, castle, and toptani mall; Room size was good; aircon worked well; acceptable selection of breakfast stuff; lady on reception was polite & helpful. BAD - "City view" was a view of the back of a solar boiler on the roof outside, glass in main unit was cracked; stained walls; paint drips on tiles; cleaner forgot to replace towells and toilet rolls multiple times. UGLY - Multiple lights and sockets hanging from walls by bare electrical wires; black mouldy seal around shower cubicle; sink cracked and not properly attached to wall; awful wi-fi which regularly cut-out/was unavailable for periods; rude evening front desk man whose answer to us raising issues was "i just work here".

For some reason my credit card was not charged by hotels.com so I had to pay by card. The payment terminal was having problems with my cards, so I had to pay cash, this cost me extra money to use my credit card at the ATM to get foreign currency. Then the hotel apparently charges me a fee to pay in Albanian currency, because by original bill was 85 EUR and I had to pay 9300 ALL, which is about 92 EUR. Also, the bathroom smelled horrible, and there was no hot water in the morning. There was a table in the room, but no char, which would have been more useful. Also, the only lights witch was by the door, so I had to use my phone's torch to find the bed. Overall, it was a very average budget hotel in which basic things like warm water were not even working consistently. For the same price I could have gotten a better Hotel in Frankfurt during the off season.

The hotel is not a 4 star hotel as it’s very basic more like a 2 star. The bed was however very comfortable and clean but the room smelled musty and you will find scents left to try alleviate this so they must get complaints. The bathroom was nice, new toilet and bidet but the shower lacked power and therefore a normal shower took twice the time. There is no lift so if you have a room high up it’s a climb. My hairdryer exploded after use one day and tripped the electrics in the bathroom which could not be fixed whilst I was there. The hotel was full and they could not give me another room. The handheld hairdryer they gave me also didn’t work. The breakfast was very basic and the same each day, so I only ate it 3 out of the 6 day stay. But to be fair it is a free breakfast and there was cereal, bread, cheese, cold meat, watermelon and eggs. I did not like the antique decor throughout, it smelled musty everywhere even in the lower ground breakfast room, and it looked like the hotel had little investment made in it. The reception desk was often unmanned. Overall for 60 euro a night the hotel was ok priced as it is in the middle of the centrum so you do have the convenience of being close to everything. I really struggled with the noise though. There were people sitting outside talking until very late (after midnight) and then very early on there were building works (from 7.30). Overall it was a 5/10 for me but the comfort of the bed was a 9/10 and the bathroom 8/10.

Al momento del check in chiedono 3,80€ a testa per una tassa non ben specificata e non prevista nella prenotazione. Non è possibile evitare il pagamento. Non spiegano cosa sia e delegano al superiore che non c’è in sede. A fronte di mio ricorso presentato ad Hotels.com hanno risposto che “si tratta del frigo bar” (che non ho utilizzato, tanto più che il contributo mi è stato chiesto e addebitato al check in.. quindi prima che io potessi ancora pensare al frigo bar…). DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. I’ve booked over 50 stays with Hotels.com and this is the only time there was a problem. Management is horrendous. I booked my 2 night stay 11 months ago - deluxe double room. When I booked, I knew it did not have an elevator. I messaged hotel 10 days prior asking for a room on 1st Floor as we have trouble with stairs and was promised that would be no problem. Arrived after a long day of travel and they had given our deluxe double to some other guest. Only room left was what I can only describe as a backpackers hostel type room with 3 small twin beds on third floor above the ground floor. Shower door was so close to toilet you had to sit at an angle. Too late to go anywhere else for first night. Woke up in middle of night with numerous bug bites. Notice what look like a few pepper flakes on bed sheets. Can not confirm, but believe at least room 11 has bed bugs. We booked another hotel for second night and checked out at 0930. Hotels.com called manager to try and get refund for second night but he refused. Breakfast was limited and not very good. Fried eggs cold. Orange juice is orange soda. Only positive comment is desk clerk was very nice and apologetic. He knew we had been screwed. He carried our 2 big bags to our room 3 floors up. Wanted to talk yo manager but not available. Pictures attached is what our room was supposed to be and second is room we got.

Venligt personal. Vi havde værelse 8 og 10, lidt ældre stand, men fin rengøring. Ingen elevator og mange trapper. Fjernsyn på begge værelser, kunne kun bruges med youtube. Placering i byen meget centralt. Ud fra prisen, har vi været tilfredse med hotellet.

Clean room, very comfortable bed, good shower, decent hairdryer. Plenty of sockets for charging phones etc. Good location, however close to the mosque and you will hear it! Staff pleasant. Breakfast OK. Night light stayed on in bathroom and made the bedroom quite bright during the night (glass panel in door)

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. They were excellent at arranging taxis for us and with helpful information. Good English spoken. Room was suitable, however the shower floods the floor, the drains smell and we couldn't get the TV to work. Breakfast in really special room in the basement was excellent. Our stay in Tirana was amazing and we really enjoyed Albania.

まずアルバニアに行く日本人がどれだけ増えるか解りませんが日本語で記録しておきましょう。 4階まであるこのホテルにはエレベーターがありません。荷物が重い人はスタッフに持ってもらいましょう。断られることはないと思います。スタッフは概ね友好的です。建物や家具やスタイルがアルバニアの様式を残しているのでそういう方面に興味がある人には向いているでしょう。逆に機能性や便利さを求めている人には向いてないかもしれません。歯ブラシやティッシュ、スリッパはありません。シャワーはレインシャワーだけとなりトイレとの境はありません、排水はしっかりしますが。 TV放送はロビーだけが入り（良く見ると注意書きにありました）、部屋はYouTubeはNetflixが観れるようです。しかしWi-Fiが弱いため殆ど何も機能しません、この先変わるかもしれませんが。朝食は良いです。立地も空港バス停まで近く、そのにはわり静かで悪くはないです。

Tirana is a fascinating, exciting modern city with plenty to do for the weekend. The hotel was, however, pretty grim. There is nowhere to sit outside except for a couple of tables on the street. These were occupied most of the day by local workmen and friends of the staff who smoked incessantly. I always woke up to the smell of smoke as my room was on the first floor. We had huge problems with the fact that the staff were chaotic and disorganised, especially with regard to payment. My friend and I had separate rooms and in both the bathrooms were unpleasant. The plumbing had not been finished on my bidet and water went everywhere. Similarly the shower door didn't fit and the floor flooded. The other bathroom didn't even have a shower door! The dining room was like a dark cave ( hence our preferring to sit outside whenever possible.) I ordered a glass of wine on two occasions and was charged very different prices. When the manager was called to finally settle the problem re payment he agreed that we were right but said he couldn't afford to pay decent staff as this would increase the price. I would encourage friends to visit Albania and might well go back myself but I strongly advise against staying at The Brilant Antik.

I contacted the hotel a day in advance to reconfirm my reservation. When I arrived at 5 PM to check in, the front desk staff appeared concerned and contacted the manager. The manager informed me that there was an issue with my room and that I would be relocated to another hotel — the Residence Inn — located 2 km from Skanderbeg Square. I declined, as I had specifically chosen this hotel for its walking distance to tourist attractions. The staff member then said the only available option was to stay in an apartment next door for one night, with a proper room available the following day. He offered a partial discount, charging €100 instead of €119 for the two-night stay. Unfortunately, the apartment was in poor condition: visible water damage, a leaking air conditioner, and outdated furnishings. Two hours later, I contacted Expedia support, who then called the hotel to request a refund. The hotel refused, falsely claiming I had checked in 10 hours early (it was actually just 2 hours) and that they offered a 50% discount for that night. The next morning, I was moved to a proper room, which was beautiful, and the morning staff were very pleasant. Sadly, the manager was arrogant and dishonest. This was most likely a case of overbooking. I wouldn’t go again, because of the management attitude. It’s too bad because the hotel location is perfect.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel for the following reasons. I reserved 7 nights in a family room for a total of £441.59 to pay at the property. On check-in, I was asked to pay £515.30 which the hotel claimed was “tourist tax”. This is over £70 which is more than £5 per person, per night. Not only this, I also reserved their most expensive room which was the family room. I was given a stranded double. Upon complaining I was upgraded to the deluxe double room the next day. However the family room which I paid for was never given to me. After accepting my fate, the rest of the stay was okay. The shower had a smell which other people have mentioned in other reviews but apart from that. Everything else was good. The staff are kind and friendly and the breakfast is also okay. I wouldn’t say anything about this hotel is amazing. You get what you pay for. However I didn’t even get that.

They had overbooked and asked if we would mind staying in an apartment. They said it was not ready and could we come back after an hour and a half and they would kindly give us 25% discount. The taxi we had arranged with the hotel from the airport did not arrive so we were tired and just agreed as they were very pleasant people. The apartment turned out to be a garage - separate from the hotel. Poor security, water pumps going off all night,noisy neighbours and people actually banging on the walls and the metal garage sliding door. It had not been cleaned properly and both of us were bitten by bed bugs. There was a lovely waiter called Dennis but the female at reception and breakfast was smiling when insisting we paid for water we did not have. We paid as I just wanted to get away. Tirana and Tirana’s people are fantastic. Brilant Antik Hotel is a disgrace and it really ruined the beginning of our Albanian experience.

Lovely little stay for a city break. Location is the best feature along with the helpfulness of the staff.Arta is a credit to the business a lady on the front desk nothing is too much trouble! It is a quirky boutique feel accomadation in a listed building & small buffet breakfast so if your looking for Hilton modern decor & super size buffet breakfast this isn’t the place for you. But if you visit during the hot Summer months the Air Con is upto scratch and the distance to the air con shopping centre across the road your be glad you opted for this hotel

Great stay, very central just minutes walk from Skandaberg Square, the Pyramid and 30 minutes from the park and lake. Beautiful old traditional small hotel, friendly service. Free on street parking right outside. Breakfast good (from 8am). Big comfy room (though we booked a King and instead got a twin which was a shame, the beds were actually small doubles)

Very central within easy walk of tourist sites. The room we had was clean and spacious. Breakfast was ok, buffet style. Only issue is no lift but looks to be an old building so that may be why.

Faites vous plaisir, l'hôtel est top! L'emplacement est royal, a 2 minutes du centre commercial Toptani, à 5 minutes du bazar, pareil pour la place Skanderberg et bunkart2, de Kalaja e tiranes et de la grande mosquée... Bref au coeur de la ville, a proximité de tout! Parking gratuit, wifi très correct, personnel hyper accueillant et serviable, petit dej bien comme il faut en sucré et salé ! Chambres climatisées, spacieuses et confortables avec une vraie bonne salle de bain!

I travelked with my girlfriend. I had ordered a double room but I got a twin room. Why don't you respect my order? Breakfast buffet wasn't refilled. No one came to watch if something is missing. Fried eggs and sausages were empty.

A lovely little hotel for my stay in Tirana. It’s down a quiet street but still very close to all the main attractions. The hotel is truly stunning and the rooms were spacious, very clean (daily cleaning), comfortable beds and a good working shower. The hotel has a small bar serving hot and cold drinks inc alcohol throughout the day. The breakfast is continental with fried eggs and sausages cooked and finally the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Highly reccomend this hotel if you’re visiting Tirana and you are after a small, quaint and beautifully decorated hotel.

It was nice that the reception is open 24/7. So it was possible to get a drink and - lets say finalize the day - by sitting in front of the hotel. Breakfast is o.k. but a bit simple.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. I’ve booked over 50 stays with Hotels.com and this is the only time there was a problem. Management is horrendous. I booked my 2 night stay 11 months ago - deluxe double room. When I booked, I knew it did not have an elevator. I messaged hotel 10 days prior asking for a room on 1st Floor as we have trouble with stairs and was promised that would be no problem. Arrived after a long day of travel and they had given our deluxe double to some other guest. Only room left was what I can only describe as a backpackers hostel type room with 3 small twin beds on third floor above the ground floor. Shower door was so close to toilet you had to sit at an angle. Too late to go anywhere else for first night. Woke up in middle of night with numerous bug bites. Notice what look like a few pepper flakes on bed sheets. Can not confirm, but believe at least room 11 has bed bugs. We booked another hotel for second night and checked out at 0930. Hotels.com called manager to try and get refund for second night but he refused. Breakfast was limited and not very good. Fried eggs cold. Orange juice is orange soda. Only positive comment is desk clerk was very nice and apologetic. He knew we had been screwed. He carried our 2 big bags to our room 3 floors up. Wanted to talk yo manager but not available. Pictures attached is what our room was supposed to be and second is room we got.
