We had a great weekend stay at Shangri La. It happened to be during a special Malaysia week food event at the restaurant that I read about on the flight into KL so we were able to take advantage of that and try so many things at once. Loved the iconic towers nearby. It’s not the easiest place to walk quickly to another restaurant but not too bad. Also Grab app made it easy to get rides. Husband loved the gym and yoga space. Room was very nice.

So originally I had booked a birthday request too late for my woman. However , the amazing staff secretly added it , so to my surprise it was there in the room with a cake. I was in shock to the level of detail the staff did for me there. The breakfast was so high quality, and the fruits in the room were so good. The room was so spacious , the bathroom was best I’ve ever seen. Every design of this hotel from the many fast elevators , to the scents , to the pillows was why this is a five star place.

Generally the hotel looks spotless from the lobby and the staff there are very welcoming. However the rooms- especially the bathrooms need an upgrade. We had an issue with water flooding from the shower and they sent someone to fix it but the issue continued. Minibars are provided empty; there is no immediate room service option. You have to complete some form and hang it out prior. Hotel is located in a busy area so grab taxis take ages to come. So much time is wasted waiting around for them Breakfast has a lot of variety and was good
