After not finding a car to rent online, we were able to find one at the property next door. It is close to many places to eat and to convenience stores. Sapporo, beach locations, a main commercial avenue in Tomakomai and Chitose airport are all accessible by bus. However the nearby mountain lake was not, hence the need for a car. We stayed there because of the proximity to the ferry. The room is small but very well distributed with all comforts covered. The outside and neighbour noise was minimal. The breakfast was a delight each morning. It is a good base even without a car.
