We had a very lovely experience, thanks to the special attention of Salvatore, Angelo and all the staff of Villa Santa Maria. The location of the hotel is exceptional and being able to walk to the ocean and swim is very special. Loved all the steps on the property. It would have been nice to use the sauna but it was out of order. Otherwise everything was perfect and I would definitely come back and recommend.

Fantastic vacation at Villa Santa Maria and wonderful hospitality by Franscesa. Clean but small rooms, which suited us perfect as we were enjoying the outdoors from morning to late evening. The dock and sun beds at the sea was amazing. We used water taxi to travel around the coast and could be picked up directly at the hotel. We also stayed many hours in the sun beds, enjoying the access to the Mediterranean. Highly recommended for couples traveling to enjoy Amalfi with surroundings.

We loved our stay! Salvatore, Angelo and the entire staff were fabulous. The breakfast was excellent and they had accommodations for my dietary needs (gluten and dairy free). The view is worth every penny! We loved the private water access and hot tub. The walk to Amalfi is beautiful and there are amazing restaurants just nearby as well. We definitely recommend!

Loved the property amazing views. Staff was great attentive to our needs. Private Beach and Jacuzzi. Breakfast was amazing well done. But be prepared to walk lots of steps not for the week 160 steps down to hotel and another 200 to get to the beach.

This was an amazing stay for me and my husband! The place was absolutely beautiful, with a sauna, free breakfast overlooking the most amazing ocean view, huge rooms, and a quick little walk that takes you to three private locations on the water, with the last one leading you to a little private cove and beach you can swim to. Truly the best stay we have had in all of Italy. The service was 11/10, with Francesca, Angelo, Gerardo, and the other amazing staff who all made our stay perfect! We would recommend this place to everyone we know based on service alone!

Salvatore and the staff were awesome, the property was beautiful and the water was awesome. Some good spots to eat around the property and they will even schedule a boat to come pick you up from the dock and take you to a little beach club with a pretty good restaurant

This place is incredible! An amazing cliffside setting with direct access to the emerald water of the Mediterranean. However, because of its setting, there are a lot of stairs (not for those who are out of shape). There are 165 steps down to the accommodation from the main road (staff helped with luggage) and another 300 steps down to the water. That said, this is a spectacular location and a wonderful place to stay. Clean well-appointed rooms. We stayed in a room with our own deck area and private hot tub. Other rooms share a communal hot tub. Great made-to-order breakfast is included. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nearby restaurants within walking distance. Parking is very limited and driving and parking along the Amalfi Coast are tricky and tight. We drove and found parking along the road with our small car. Keep the hotel posted with your method of travel (car, driver, taxi, etc.) so that they can anticipate your arrival. Try lunch at the nearby seaside restaurant only accessible by the water (they will pick you up at the hotel dock area for free). Can't recommend this place enough.

Villa Santa Maria is een verborgen schat. Het ligt prachtig op de klif. De mensen die er werken zijn heel aardig, behulpzaam en super gastvrij. De kamer die wij hadden was ruim, heerlijk koel en werd elke dag weer fijn opgeruimd. Er zijn veel trappen maar dat is logisch gezien de ligging van het hotel. Daarbij is het goed voor je conditie om elke dag die treden op en neer te lopen😃. Voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn, zou ik Santa Maria niet aanbevelen. Wij zijn er 6 dagen geweest en hebben er een heerlijke tijd gehad. We komen zeker terug!

Our stay at Villa Santa Maria felt like we were in paradise! Prior to arriving Francesca messaged us on to confirm at what time we would be arriving and advised us on how to get to the villa. We always took the Bus to and from Amalfi. It was a quick 10min bus ride and only costs 1.50 euros each way. Otherwise, the Taxi’s are extremely expensive (we were quoted 50 euros to bring us to the Villa) Upon our arrival a gentleman met us at the bus stop and carried our suitcases down the 185 steps to the Villa! There we were met by Francesca who offered us drinks and welcomed us. To our surprise, the room was already ready. We booked an ocean view superior room. The views were Breathtaking!! The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean! The beach/sauna/spa were all very fun to use and accessible. The ocean water was beautiful and warm. The amenities at the Villa are beautiful and the food was also exceptionally good (Cesar salad YUM)! We were recommended to try Ciccio’s restaurant which is a short walk away and was delicious. Francesca helped us book as we were having trouble online. We also realized we would be late to our booking for our car pickup in Salerno, and read online that some people had issues when they were late. Francesca called for us and explained in Italian that our Ferry would be arriving in Salerno later than expected. We were extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely come back. Thank you Francesca for everything Highly recommend!!

We loved staying at Villa Santa Maria! Every single staff member was so helpful and always available. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet and the private beach was amazing. The free breakfast is great and they also offer dinner and lunch as well (you pay for of course.) the view when you’re eating is just gorgeous. The reviews about stairs are true, but in the Amalfi coast, that is just how it is! The whole city is on a hill, so you can’t escape stairs no matter where you go, and the stairs really aren’t that bad at all. This hotel is about a 8-10 minute drive to the Amalfi piazza and beach and 30 minutes to positano. We just rented a car and had no trouble with parking or getting around with the car when we stayed. We would Defenitely stay here again(:

Salvatore and Gerardo were exceptionally good hosts. The accommodation really nice, clean, good views and personal service. The stairs keep you in shape but Gerardo insists helping with the bags, so thats no problem. Breakfast was excellent and the setting beautiful. We arrived by car and that is not the best in Amalfi because the streets are very narrow and parking spaces are not easily found. Next time we will arrive by boat taxi. :)

My husband and I recently stayed here for our babymoon and it was the best decision! Staff & Service: Francesca, Angelo, Gerardo - everyone there treats you like family and wants to make sure you are happy and comfortable. Francesca went above and beyond to help us arrange transportation and navigate the surrounding towns. Property: In many of the reviews, you are going to read that there are a lot of stairs. Yes - it's true however, I visited this property 7 months pregnant and the stairs didn't bother me one bit. The reality is, this property is a hidden gem tucked away into a cliff. The views are incredible and it's very quiet/peaceful. In addition to that, you have private access to the beautiful water and a private beach. To me, this was priceless and worth every stair in order to get to and from the water. Every morning, I couldn't wait to open up the windows from our room and to look out at the ocean. Additionally, the rooms are super spacious, clean, and accommodating. Location: It is important to note that this hotel is a 5 minute drive to the city center of Amalfi. Francesca was amazing at arranging taxis into town but note that every trip into town is roughly $20-$30 euros each way. This is not any fault of Villa Santa Maria, this is just the going rate for taxis in Amalfi. The good news is, there are good restaurants near the hotel that are walking distance. I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else, Villa SM was the highlight of our Amalfi vacation, 5-stars!

Our stay at Villa Santa Maria was absolutely unforgettable. Even with just 2 days and 3 nights, the concierge, Salvatore, made us feel welcomed right from the start. He personally guided us over the phone upon our arrival in Amalfi and remained readily available throughout our stay—whether it was helping us with directions, recommendations, or even navigating the local bus schedule. We stayed in the Junior Villa Suite, which offered plenty of privacy, stunning views, and a relaxing hot tub. Breakfast was delicious every morning—don’t miss ordering the fruit of the day! Overall, we would gladly return to Villa Santa Maria on a future trip to Amalfi, thanks largely to the exceptional hospitality Salvatore provided.

We loved our stay! Salvatore, Angelo and the entire staff were fabulous. The breakfast was excellent and they had accommodations for my dietary needs (gluten and dairy free). The view is worth every penny! We loved the private water access and hot tub. The walk to Amalfi is beautiful and there are amazing restaurants just nearby as well. We definitely recommend!

We loved staying at Villa Santa Maria! Every single staff member was so helpful and always available. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet and the private beach was amazing. The free breakfast is great and they also offer dinner and lunch as well (you pay for of course.) the view when you’re eating is just gorgeous. The reviews about stairs are true, but in the Amalfi coast, that is just how it is! The whole city is on a hill, so you can’t escape stairs no matter where you go, and the stairs really aren’t that bad at all. This hotel is about a 8-10 minute drive to the Amalfi piazza and beach and 30 minutes to positano. We just rented a car and had no trouble with parking or getting around with the car when we stayed. We would Defenitely stay here again(:

This was an amazing stay for me and my husband! The place was absolutely beautiful, with a sauna, free breakfast overlooking the most amazing ocean view, huge rooms, and a quick little walk that takes you to three private locations on the water, with the last one leading you to a little private cove and beach you can swim to. Truly the best stay we have had in all of Italy. The service was 11/10, with Francesca, Angelo, Gerardo, and the other amazing staff who all made our stay perfect! We would recommend this place to everyone we know based on service alone!

Beautiful property and views. Nighttime facility caretaker was emotional over a missed local restaurant reservation - we were told it was a busy restaurant though no one was there when we went and thought they were closed. The caretaker refused to listen and decided to ignore us for the rest of our stay and not offer any service such as turning on the sauna for us. Room was advertised with private patio and hot tub. Patio was public for all guests to use right outside our window, because of that we couldn’t open it for privacy. Hot tub was cold - not heated.

Amazing simple little hotel. Great location, a cozy private beach (expect lots of stairs, as usual in Amalfi), nice breakfast, comfortable beds. Excellent service orchestrated by Sasa. Location quite comfortable, walkable to the Amalfi center, plus busses. Several nice restaurants within short walking distance. There are lots of stairs to the stree level but that's Amalfi. Highly recommended, hope to come back.

Beautiful views. room was spacious, we did have issues adjusting the AC and the internet would not work in our room. breakfast was good. Warning to anyone visiting, there are a LOT of stairs to get to the villa. The staff are available to help with carrying luggage but beware the stairs. it isn't located in Almalfi, so you need a taxi/bus to get to and from, but their is a bus stop in front of the hotel.

This place is incredible! An amazing cliffside setting with direct access to the emerald water of the Mediterranean. However, because of its setting, there are a lot of stairs (not for those who are out of shape). There are 165 steps down to the accommodation from the main road (staff helped with luggage) and another 300 steps down to the water. That said, this is a spectacular location and a wonderful place to stay. Clean well-appointed rooms. We stayed in a room with our own deck area and private hot tub. Other rooms share a communal hot tub. Great made-to-order breakfast is included. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nearby restaurants within walking distance. Parking is very limited and driving and parking along the Amalfi Coast are tricky and tight. We drove and found parking along the road with our small car. Keep the hotel posted with your method of travel (car, driver, taxi, etc.) so that they can anticipate your arrival. Try lunch at the nearby seaside restaurant only accessible by the water (they will pick you up at the hotel dock area for free). Can't recommend this place enough.

My husband and I recently stayed here for our babymoon and it was the best decision! Staff & Service: Francesca, Angelo, Gerardo - everyone there treats you like family and wants to make sure you are happy and comfortable. Francesca went above and beyond to help us arrange transportation and navigate the surrounding towns. Property: In many of the reviews, you are going to read that there are a lot of stairs. Yes - it's true however, I visited this property 7 months pregnant and the stairs didn't bother me one bit. The reality is, this property is a hidden gem tucked away into a cliff. The views are incredible and it's very quiet/peaceful. In addition to that, you have private access to the beautiful water and a private beach. To me, this was priceless and worth every stair in order to get to and from the water. Every morning, I couldn't wait to open up the windows from our room and to look out at the ocean. Additionally, the rooms are super spacious, clean, and accommodating. Location: It is important to note that this hotel is a 5 minute drive to the city center of Amalfi. Francesca was amazing at arranging taxis into town but note that every trip into town is roughly $20-$30 euros each way. This is not any fault of Villa Santa Maria, this is just the going rate for taxis in Amalfi. The good news is, there are good restaurants near the hotel that are walking distance. Villa Santa Maria is an amazing property with amazing staff. From the minute we got there, the staff was attentive to our every need. We were welcomed with a glass of wine, shown the amenities, and our bags were waiting in our room when we walked upstairs. Francesca and her staff are beyond 5 stars.

Salvatore and Gerardo were exceptionally good hosts. The accommodation really nice, clean, good views and personal service. The stairs keep you in shape but Gerardo insists helping with the bags, so thats no problem. Breakfast was excellent and the setting beautiful. We arrived by car and that is not the best in Amalfi because the streets are very narrow and parking spaces are not easily found. Next time we will arrive by boat taxi. :)

The hotel is around 200? steps down from the road. After finding out that we were driving there they gave me some options. We could either park it with them but would not have easy access since it’s not stored onsite or park on the narrow street. We parked on the street. A staff member greeted us by the road and helped get our heaviest pieces of luggage’s down the stairs.

Our stay at Villa Santa Maria felt like we were in paradise! Prior to arriving Francesca messaged us on to confirm at what time we would be arriving and advised us on how to get to the villa. We always took the Bus to and from Amalfi. It was a quick 10min bus ride and only costs 1.50 euros each way. Otherwise, the Taxi’s are extremely expensive (we were quoted 50 euros to bring us to the Villa) Upon our arrival a gentleman met us at the bus stop and carried our suitcases down the 185 steps to the Villa! There we were met by Francesca who offered us drinks and welcomed us. To our surprise, the room was already ready. We booked an ocean view superior room. The views were Breathtaking!! The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean! The beach/sauna/spa were all very fun to use and accessible. The ocean water was beautiful and warm. The amenities at the Villa are beautiful and the food was also exceptionally good (Cesar salad YUM)! We were recommended to try Ciccio’s restaurant which is a short walk away and was delicious. Francesca helped us book as we were having trouble online. We also realized we would be late to our booking for our car pickup in Salerno, and read online that some people had issues when they were late. Francesca called for us and explained in Italian that our Ferry would be arriving in Salerno later than expected. We were extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely come back. Thank you Francesca for everything Highly recommend!!

Amazing simple little hotel. Great location, a cozy private beach (expect lots of stairs, as usual in Amalfi), nice breakfast, comfortable beds. Excellent service orchestrated by Sasa. Location quite comfortable, walkable to the Amalfi center, plus busses. Several nice restaurants within short walking distance. There are lots of stairs to the stree level but that's Amalfi. Highly recommended, hope to come back.

Beautiful views. room was spacious, we did have issues adjusting the AC and the internet would not work in our room. breakfast was good. Warning to anyone visiting, there are a LOT of stairs to get to the villa. The staff are available to help with carrying luggage but beware the stairs. it isn't located in Almalfi, so you need a taxi/bus to get to and from, but their is a bus stop in front of the hotel.

Salvatore and Gerardo were exceptionally good hosts. The accommodation really nice, clean, good views and personal service. The stairs keep you in shape but Gerardo insists helping with the bags, so thats no problem. Breakfast was excellent and the setting beautiful. We arrived by car and that is not the best in Amalfi because the streets are very narrow and parking spaces are not easily found. Next time we will arrive by boat taxi. :)

This place is incredible! An amazing cliffside setting with direct access to the emerald water of the Mediterranean. However, because of its setting, there are a lot of stairs (not for those who are out of shape). There are 165 steps down to the accommodation from the main road (staff helped with luggage) and another 300 steps down to the water. That said, this is a spectacular location and a wonderful place to stay. Clean well-appointed rooms. We stayed in a room with our own deck area and private hot tub. Other rooms share a communal hot tub. Great made-to-order breakfast is included. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nearby restaurants within walking distance. Parking is very limited and driving and parking along the Amalfi Coast are tricky and tight. We drove and found parking along the road with our small car. Keep the hotel posted with your method of travel (car, driver, taxi, etc.) so that they can anticipate your arrival. Try lunch at the nearby seaside restaurant only accessible by the water (they will pick you up at the hotel dock area for free). Can't recommend this place enough.

My husband and I recently stayed here for our babymoon and it was the best decision! Staff & Service: Francesca, Angelo, Gerardo - everyone there treats you like family and wants to make sure you are happy and comfortable. Francesca went above and beyond to help us arrange transportation and navigate the surrounding towns. Property: In many of the reviews, you are going to read that there are a lot of stairs. Yes - it's true however, I visited this property 7 months pregnant and the stairs didn't bother me one bit. The reality is, this property is a hidden gem tucked away into a cliff. The views are incredible and it's very quiet/peaceful. In addition to that, you have private access to the beautiful water and a private beach. To me, this was priceless and worth every stair in order to get to and from the water. Every morning, I couldn't wait to open up the windows from our room and to look out at the ocean. Additionally, the rooms are super spacious, clean, and accommodating. Location: It is important to note that this hotel is a 5 minute drive to the city center of Amalfi. Francesca was amazing at arranging taxis into town but note that every trip into town is roughly $20-$30 euros each way. This is not any fault of Villa Santa Maria, this is just the going rate for taxis in Amalfi. The good news is, there are good restaurants near the hotel that are walking distance. I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else, Villa SM was the highlight of our Amalfi vacation, 5-stars!

The staff here is extremely attentive and pleasant. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The food is delicious. My personal opinion is that the food here was better than all the restaurants we tried in the Amalfi area. Overall, this spot was amazing for all the available amenities and for the ability to just relax and chill. Definitely would recommend this spot for anyone wanting to be in the Amalfi area

We loved our stay! Salvatore, Angelo and the entire staff were fabulous. The breakfast was excellent and they had accommodations for my dietary needs (gluten and dairy free). The view is worth every penny! We loved the private water access and hot tub. The walk to Amalfi is beautiful and there are amazing restaurants just nearby as well. We definitely recommend!

We loved staying at Villa Santa Maria! Every single staff member was so helpful and always available. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet and the private beach was amazing. The free breakfast is great and they also offer dinner and lunch as well (you pay for of course.) the view when you’re eating is just gorgeous. The reviews about stairs are true, but in the Amalfi coast, that is just how it is! The whole city is on a hill, so you can’t escape stairs no matter where you go, and the stairs really aren’t that bad at all. This hotel is about a 8-10 minute drive to the Amalfi piazza and beach and 30 minutes to positano. We just rented a car and had no trouble with parking or getting around with the car when we stayed. We would Defenitely stay here again(:

Our stay here was amazing! We cried when leaving because we did not want it to end. Service and food were excellent, and Francesca, the manager, was wonderful. I will return on my next trip to the Amalfi Coast!

She arranged our transportation to and from the dock, booked affordable golf cart rides into town (€15 per person), and recommended an incredible full-day Capri excursion that ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Our room was amazing—we booked one with a private Jacuzzi, and it was worth every penny. The views are absolutely spectacular. The only thing to keep in mind is that there are about 163 stairs down to the property and another 163 to reach the beach area, so be prepared for lots of steps. The hotel is also very secluded, which we loved because it made for a peaceful, relaxing stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We had a great stay here. The staff were all lovely, especially Asia who was incredibly helpful from start to finish and Angelo the chef whose food was really good. This property is not for the faint hearted though. Over 150 steps to get from the road to the villa (and then back up again to get into town or to anywhere else!), and over 200 steps down to the jetty to sunbathe by the sea and access the water via the ladder. The views are stunning but the stairs in the heat can be a killer - and i am fit and active and found it a struggle at times. Overall we would go back here again but this property would not be great for anyone with any form of mobility issues.

The views were amazing, and even enjoyed being away from the busy crowds of Amalfi and was so peaceful. My room was amazing and private, which I loved. Asia was super helpful with everything, arranging the private transportation from and to Naples, helping with recommendations and the best recommendations for a tour to Capri, loved it. Future guests should know that the property is about 30–35 minutes WALK from Amalfi town center, and 10 min buss ride, but it may take a little time to understand the bus system . The hotel can arrange golf cart transportation, but I recommend confirming the price beforehand, since once I arrived in Amalfi from taking the golf cart he tried to charge me double (which I don’t think was the hotel’s fault) Also, be prepared for a lot of stairs—much more than I expected! After a couple of days, though, I got used to it and even considered it part of my daily workout haha. If you don’t mind some walking and want a peaceful Amalfi Coast experience, with breathtaking views, this is a great place to stay. 🇮🇹✨
