LSU does it better. This is an amazing hotel with comfortable rooms with blackout curtains and a breakfast buffet. Great place to stay if you are headed to campus or want to be close to downtown. Parking is free. They also have a gift shop with LSU merchandise and tiger themed items. Speaking of Tigers- you can easily take a walk to see Mike's habitat or go the other direction and take a stroll around the lake.

I enjoyed the location and aesthtic. It was unfortunate that the property no longer has a hot tub as is being advertised. It was also unfortunate that our suite djd not have a tub as listed. I specifically booked to soak in a hot tub and tub. Otherwise all was great! Breakfast was tasty though bread goods seemed to have dried out.

Very clean, and very accommodating. The concierge was extremely helpful and informative. I loved that my daughters and I had access to the LSU Rec Center. The pool was wonderful! I would definitely stay here again.

Free parking and nice room. Hotel is located around fraternity and sorority houses which was really cool to see. We stayed during the summer so things were very quiet and not so congested.

Spotty tv, janky side tables that won’t hold chargers,, hallways that look like they haven’t been updated since the early 1990s, Broken shower rod, dated building, elevator takes forever, employees don’t know their own policy’s and management do not care. Worst hotel I’ve ever been too.

Bathroom bottles were open and used. No wash clothes when we arrived. Housekeeping came and took all towels but didn’t replace them nor did they make beds. Only emptied trash and took towels. Nothing else done to room.

This hotel is well-located and offers a pretty average complimentary breakfast. We have stayed previously and returned because of the convenience to the LSU campus. On this stay, we traveled with a toddler and housekeeping proved to be a huge failure. On our second day they made the bed and gave us fresh towels but ignored all of the cleaning aspects so we returned after a 14 hour work day to find the garbage pail full (including soiled diapers). Dirty towels on the bathroom floor. No vacuuming. No cleaning sinks. The coffee maker malfunctioned so there was a tray and several cups that required attention. There was also no replenishing of water, shampoo or the courtesy coffee. We told the front desk and they assured us management would be in touch but that never happened and we were just too tired to seek them out before check out. We felt very insulted by this oversight. It felt intentional.

We had a great stay at the Cook Hotel during our freshman kiddo drop off to college. Hotel is part of LSU , located on university property which is super convenient. Our double room got upgraded to suite. Room was spotless clean and beds are very comfortable. The only issue was with AC not cooling very well due to heat advisory, so room was a bit too warm for my liking. Staff is very professional and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

It’s always a pleasure to stay at The Cook Hotel. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the property itself is what any University would want as a representative hotel. A couple watch-outs: The lowest priced rooms are tiny and have a single tiny window in the back corner of the room - that’s it. If you like light, confirm the room layout before booking, I found that the next class up is generally just a few more dollars and worth the difference. The beds can be a little saggy- especially on the side that seems to be where most guests like to sleep. Other sides of the bed(s) are fine. The pillows are flat and the door to the mini fridge cabinet fell off its hinges when I opened it. But, all that said, it’s still my preferred hotel in Baton Rouge.

The room was nice but very small and a bit rundown. Area was perfect for a LSU football game. I never made breakfast because it stopped so early. Room on the first floor was vey noisey and people were sitting on the bench right outside my room.

The standard ("deluxe") rooms are very small, and the one I got was a near windowless cave, with just a tiny round sailboat window, about 6-10 in in diameter. Definitely sub-par product for what is expected in a US hotel.

Took 3 trips down to the front desk to actually get a room . The staff was unprofessional , unfriendly , and had a bad attitude . The initial room key issued actually opened the door to a room that someone was already staying with all of their personal belongings in the room that we accessed

Our recent stay at The Cook Hotel and Conference Center at LSU was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the customer service and friendliness of the staff were top-tier, warm, attentive, and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal, offering delicious selections that exceeded our expectations. Our daughter graduated from LSU in May and we had to move her out of her apartment in July. The hotel's location, just two minutes away, made the entire process incredibly convenient and stress-free. We’re already looking forward to returning for a more leisurely visit.

I appreciated the friendliness of the front desk staff during check-in and upon checkout. However, I visited the gift shop on my way out and the lady at the counter never once got off her personal phone call to acknowledge me as a customer. Off there was something I wanted to buy, I don’t think I would have got that reason. Besides that, I was very impressed with the hotel and staff.

A very convenient stay if doing stuff at LSU. The front desk staff was very friendly and quickly check you in. The cleaning staff on the other hand was very loud in the hallway way before check out which definitely does not give you the opportunity to sleep in if you wanted too. Overall a great location and would stay again if I had to wake up early.

Room was great. Very pleased with it. One of the female staff members behind the front desk was rude. She argued they had pool towels outside by the pool even though we kept telling her they were not there. She then said “well we don't have anymore then” and left it at that. No help in trying to find any or a solution. Then later that evening we called the front desk to get a bath towel and washcloth (we had 4 guests and only 3 towels and washclothes) and same individual answered and said “we don't have any towels or wash clothes. We have a lot of kids staying here and we are out.”

The front desk lady at the checking, could not be any more indifferent; a robot would have had more personality. The extent of the conversation was give me your ID and your Credit Card. The room was so hot. We lowered the AC, and it was going up vs. down. We tried the front desk, but after 5 minutes waiting for a response, we gave up. We decided to go for dinner, hoping it will be better after a few hours. When we got back the room was as hot. This time we were able to connect to the front desk and the gentleman who looked at the AC told us that it was broken. So at 10:00 PM instead of going to bed after a long drive from Texas, we had to pack our stuff and go to another room 😢

Our son recently decided to attend LSU and we were on a college visit. We had stayed at the Cook in the fall and found it extremely convenient. We offered our son to stay anywhere in Baton Rouge this time and he specifically requested a return to the Cook. I am so glad we did! Our flight was terribly late and we arrived after 3am. They had our room ready and the check in was a breeze! Big comfy room and a country buffet in the morning. So convenient and excellent staff. We will be back!

The staff was absolutely amazing considering Expedia completely messed up my date of stay once again. Thankfully the hotel found me a room discounted me and tried to cancel the date Expedia did for the next night and no one would respond so I had to pay for the night I didn’t need through the third party (Expedia)
