Room doesn’t have a microwave, coffee maker or a mini fridge. Soap is provided in the restroom area but shampoo, lotion and facial are nowhere to be found. The facility offers free coffee in the lobby in morning and that is it for the usual amenities. As with most Motel 6 locations I have stayed in the last couple of years the innkeepers seem to be running the business as an extended stay facility to house low income residents rather than catering to the tourist industry.

The hotel is conveniently located for my purposes, close enough to Evanston, can be reached without having to drive through Chicago traffic, is reasonably priced and there are economical shopping and dining locations nearby. It is very clean and staff are friendly. There are no refrigerators or coffee machines in the rooms, and no breakfast. Coffee is available in the lounge area in the morning, and there is a microwave as well.

The location was a bit off the beaten path, in a mainly commercial area with some big rigs nearby, but it was comfortable for our purposes. The room was clean but definitely no frills. It was certainly pet friendly, which we needed.

This hotel was good for what you pay for it. It was near some restaurants, which was nice. The parking was easy, and check in was simple. We didn't encounter any hidden fees and our doggie traveling with us was no issue. Loved that. The bed was firm but comfortable, and the pillows were good. Shower pressure was amazing. The only issues we had were the satellite or cable kept going out, even in clear weather. And the floor was still dirty, even though we smelled a lot of bleach when we first entered the room. Our feet were pretty dirty from just walking around the room. There also wasn't a microwave or small fridge, or a safe or drawers. So bring your cooler! There's an ice machine in the lobby, so that's helpful. The area had a nice lil outdoor spot with doggy bags to take out your fur baby. It felt relatively safe there as well. There is kind of a musty smell, I'm not sure where it's coming from. Maybe the HVAC? It's not just an old building smell. But it wasn't overwhelming. I didn't see bugs or anything on the bed or in the room. The sheets were clean too. Pretty quiet area except for the road going by. Worth it and decent for a cheaper hotel!

If you’re checking in late at night and leaving early in the morning, this motel will beat sleeping in your car. Wouldn’t recommend it otherwise, or bringing a family here. Pro’s: heap, free parking, pets allowed and no deposit required. Con’s: rooms were a 4/10 clean, entire time place smelled like weed was being smoked inside, outside, coming through vents in bathroom. Broken glass on ground in designated pet area. SOOO much dog poop on grass I had to bring my dog somewhere down the road because I there’s not a square yard of grass that didn’t have poop on it (30+ piles). Water leaking in lobby, big puddles, still there the next day. Check-out was a basket on the counter with nobody around, filled with room cards. Building was not secure and anyone could walk right in even side entrances. Side door was propped open when I arrived. Neighborhood didn’t seem dangerous, but hotel guests looked a bit sketchy.

I stayed for two weeks and they didn't clean the room once, even after multiple requests. It was unbearably cold in the room and so damp my clothes felt damp all the time until they let me put the heat on. Even then, the dampness didn't improve much.

The staff were wonderful but the second floor constantly had the strongest smell of someone smoking weed despite the place being for non-smokers. It was never addressed over the many days we were there. The only other thing of complaint is that we never got any cleaning and had to ask for towels ourselves.

Clean enough. Friendly staff. No toiletries in the room. The reception suggested me to buy a shampoo in Dollar Tree . No fridge, microwave or hairdryer. Very poor soundproofing. There was a smell of cigarettes and weed in the hallways. Very poor internet connection. They should specify the internet speed (1MBps download) on the outdoor advertising banner (FREE INTERNET)

I totally understand that a cheap room often comes with low quality room and amenities. . That said it was clean and decent however did not come with any shampoo - just bar soap…. Few towels and washcloth. And would have been okay until we got into the bed. It was so soft and lacked support our mid section sank a good 2-3 feet making us sleep like a macaroni noodle.

The beds were sunken in so that you could feel the springs. Back pain upon waking up. Our first room had a broken air conditioner that would turn off every few minutes, as well as a crater-like queen bed. Thankfully the staff let us change to a room with two double beds. These beds were only slightly better, but thankfully the AC worked.

Hotel staff was amazing! Got there early due to a ball game, and was able to check into our room early...which was a big help! The maid asked if we required any cleaning or new towels on the 2nd day. Property is safe and in a fairly quiet area. Not too many food options new by, but they were all a short drive away. We will definitely be back...thank you!

Overall, the staff was not very friendly. The matress in my room was long overdue to be replaced. On one side, the springs were caved in. On the other, the springs were poking upward. When I advised the front desk about this, their response was silence. An alarm went off in an office directly below my room at around 8:15 p.m. I reported this to an employee at 8:20, and stated that I had to get up early and then drive all day. Twenty minutes later, I went back to the front desk, and was told that it was being addressed. Some time after 9, it finally stopped. I was never offered apologies, only indifference. I wouldn't recommend the motel to anyone.

At 9pm room 306 guest was banging on what sounded like a table. Starting at midnight the man started walking the halls playing music from a small speaker while screaming out. This happened 4-7 times until I finally walked down to the front desk at 4am and discussed it with the night manager. He said others complained too so he called the police. Police knocked on the door and told “Jorge” to keep it down. At 5am it all started again. I then called the desk from the room. At 6am the man was physically removed from the hotel. We lost an entire night because the hotel wouldn’t rectify the issue at 9-10pm the evening before. Lack of proactive management caused several guests a night they paid for. The management was nice but said there are no refunds ever for any reason. “There will never be a refund from Motel 6”. He did tell me to call Expedia and was nice but management could have taken care of this much earlier.

You get what you pay for here. It's cheap. Therefore, not high quality and there are sketchy people hanging around, especially in the parking lot. Probably very moldy, re-painted and texturized all over. Beds feel like those pull out couches where you can feel the springs. But, it is very cheap, and for the price, relatively clean. Keep your wits about you in the parking lot, don't park at the far end of the hotel. Shady AF.

very clean rooms and quiet environment enough for a family rest at night. Kind and friendly staffs is one of the features. easy parking lot are available. The location is not close to the down town but It is totally worth the price. I highly recommend this Motel for who intend to use their own car for commuting to the Chicago down town.

Nice place, helpful staff, clean and quiet facilities, + bus connections from & to Chicago. The only downside for me is coffee not being available in the afternoon. Then again, I'm part of small minority that needs coffee all day long ;). Other then that, I had a great stay there!

Decent, clean room & reception. They didn't offer breakfast but there was a microwave you could use, off course there is one in the room as well. I will always remember the reception lady who had teary eye, I asked her if she was ok, she said she was. I was sad all night. She was kind but I was concerned. They did clean outside trash as well the morning. Overall, they care about their guests.
