The access to the hotel was right off the highway I 70. Easy to get to & easy to get back on. It was also near a gas station & that made it also convenient when traveling. This property was in the process of being remodeled inside & out, so we were pleased with the progress! Our room had recently been remodeled. It was in excellent condition & we were very satisfied with the results! The bed was very comfortable! We had been to so many hotels in the last month of traveling, that it was good to see the investment of updating & upgrading the property!

Place was clean and staff was very friendly. Check-in smooth & quick. The facility needs some serious TLC as my toilet ran all night, the shower water temperature was luke warm and the ice machine in hallway was broken (but was able to use another floor)

The exterior door at the end of the hallway for accessing rooms has a nonfunctional lock; it has been ripped from its mounting, leaving exposed wires. This not only makes a guest feel unsafe, it also reveals poor standards, and the desk staff was not helpful in addressing it - both unaware and unapologetic. There is also a smell of cigarette smoke in and around my room.

The very small outside area for the dogs had no poop bags and was full of dog poop. I took my own bags and so should other people, but it wouldn’t hurt to make sure there are bags and have it cleaned up. There was overflowing garbage and cigarette butts everywhere.

In defense, they were replacing the tile in the downstairs, so it was hard to get around the main floor. However, there was no way to get to the only working ice machine in the hotel. The towels and washcloths were very thin.

The side door that I entered through was meant to be locked 24/7 and only accessible with your room card, however the card reader was completely disconnected and stayed unlocked 24/7– leaving it accessible to anyone who wasn’t staying at the hotel. My personal room door also did not lock electronically and was able to be pushed open when the handle was just turned— luckily there was another lock on the inside that I was able to use. Pet policy is also not clear on website, only allows dogs for a fee. The room smelled moldy and the bedding was essentially just two thin sheets. However, the front desk woman was incredibly kind, and ensured a fast and efficient check-out, and there was plenty of parking.

There was no functioning shower. No diverter from the tub faucet to the shower head. TV control didn’t work. At 10:30 pm I got a different room. After driving 10 hours I wanted to take a hot shower..couldn’t ..and relax watching tv a bit. Instead I was moving everything into a different room. Not a bad hotel but I wouldn’t recommend it. Too much deferred maintenance. The breakfast was good however. Thank you

Room was dirty, stained sheets, bugs everywhere, tub looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in years, garbage in the garbage can & an empty toilet paper roll proves the room wasn’t cleaned! Walls had painted over spray foam in the corners to hide the falling apart walls.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! This building should be condemned. No my room wasn't particularly clean and yes other guests were loud, but my primary complaint is that my entire room was PHYSICALLY WET. When I checked in there was condensation on the walls, the bedsheets were damp, and there was mold on the lamp shades. They say they have been "remodeling" for over a year at least. It's a horrible stay. If you have any options at all, spend a little bit more and stay elsewhere for your own sake. I can't believe Expedia advertises this place. 5 stars for the staff because I don't think it's their fault and they were very kind when it came to my early check-out but good god I'm telling you as a friend, DO NOT STAY HERE.

Hotel needs some serious attention. Our room was not very clean. Bathroom door was repaired with a piece of plywood to secure the doorknob. Paint is peeling, walls appeared to contain mold. I suggest seeking other options when you come into town.

Had the worst stay ever in a hotel. Our room had spider webs hanging from the ceiling. There were two bugs on the wall in our room. The sheets were very worn out. But to top it off, there was a cockroach in the bathroom in the middle of the night. Would not recommend to anyone!!

This place is so nasty it needs a complete overhaul. Walls are dirty, spots on walls and ceiling from where killed cockroaches and left the stains, bed spreads stained, (I always have my own) shower drain clogged up, toilet barely flushed, patch work of plaster what a joke, cockroach ran across floor, I started to actual gag and had to leave. Tried to explain all the things wrong but lady had answer for everything instead of goin to room to actually see. You would think they would inspect and check everything daily or after each stay but from some of the people I saw lingering smoking wouldn’t care about others property. If you don’t respect your own businesses and fix or tend to your rooms and items that go with it others won’t either. I suggest fix paint clean get new items before having guest rent rooms otherwise sell it.

DON'T stay here. The room was very dirty. The bathroom had unfinished dry wall damage. The paint used to paint the walls was also dripped all over the floor. The bathtub was VERY visibly dirty with dirt and mold. The adjuster to switch to show wasnt working, which meant barely any water from shower head. The water drainage from tub was very slow. The floor upon entering room was not cleaned prior. The curtains are VERY stained. The TV would come on, but no picture, would not change channels. It was not the remote as it would let you select menu, volume up and down, etc, but again IF you could get the picture to appear you couldn't change the channel. We were in a non-smoking hall way, but it wreaked of smoke. We were in town for a weekend racing event and each evening was very late. It was very disappointing to not have a room to come back to that you could get cleaned up and rest in for the price we paid. Will NEVER stay here again.

The staff, especially Julie and Mendi, are fantastic. I have stayed her a total of 36 nights in the past year, intermittently, in order to attend Summer classes at Indiana State University. I have always been safe here, and the room provides everything I need. The wi-fi is reliable, powerful, secure, and is strong enough to support my needs as a student. The staff are responsive, knowledgeable, and very kind. I would easily stay here again if I ever find myself in Terre Haute, without question.

Hotel room was basic and comfortable as expected for the price. Place close to the highway to just sleep and move on. Really the only problem was a major one. NO HOT WATER in the morning...really no excuse for this.

Review: ★☆☆☆☆ Absolutely awful experience. The staff was rude and clearly couldn’t care less about basic courtesy or professionalism. I was charged for my stay & AFTER we checked out I was charged an additional fee. I called and spoke with a woman who claimed it was a fee that they charge on check in and would be refunded a week later - lie as the hold was not put on my account until late the day we checked out. While trying to discuss it with her, she hung up on me. I called back and again and explained that they did not charge the extra fee until after we had checked out. She AGAIN hung up on me. I really wish I could find a number of the corporate office to discuss her attitude & lack of professional behavior. Also during the stay the hotel overnight erased every guest room keys. While eating breakfast we overheard several people coming to the desk and being told they accidentally erased the keycards for every room. I am attempting to contact corporate regarding the unprofessional staff

Room was pretty dirty, and the entire Terra Haute police department showed up at the hotel shortly after we checked in. There were many unsavory characters loitering in the parking lot and sleeping in their trucks outside, we decided not to stay the night and found another hotel.

Nope!!! Reviewers raved about the breakfast….. not sure where they stayed! There was a single bowl of apples, waffles, bread and packaged muffins as well as the typicalcereal machine and bagels. Nothing special at all. Typical continental. The room itself had stained sheets with burn holes, what seemed like oil stains on pillows and another stayer had blood stains on theirs! Smelled smoky, bathroom ceiling looked as it there was water damage that had an ATTEMPT to repair, and even stains on ceiling. Workers drinking in the parking lot…. If I had been with family, I would not have stayed!!!

Overall my experience was positive. I had a 3 night stay and the purpose of my visit was to attend the Covered Bridge Festival. I traveled alone, so when alone I'm not that picky about expectations. I booked the room only 45 minutes prior to my arrival and the front desk was ready for me. They also said if I wasn't pleased with ground level they could find me something else. The room was clean, comfortable and had a mini refrigerator and microwave oven. The location was ideal as it is just off RT 41 (easy drive south from Rockville IN and very easy access to Interstate 70 which will get you to Brazil, Mansfield and Bridgeton. I don't know what the hotel's cleaning policy is for multi-night stay but my room was not touched on Friday (I checked in Thursday night) but it was cleaned on Saturday. I check out on Sunday. For early risers coffee was always ready at 5:30am The room heater worked very well. The one negative is that I had requested multiple times to have the room safe serviced. It needed new batteries, and was a simple task of removing one screw holding an access panel on the back of the safe door. The safe was functional when I returned to the room on Saturday evening. Since I was checking out Sunday morning, it was too late. I would consider staying here again.
