Motel 6-San Antonio, TX - Downtown - Market Square

The property was only a 15 min walk to the river walk. It was surprising though that no shampoo and no in room coffee was provided. Area immediately around the motel had lots of homeless/street people

There was a leak in the bathroom, no fridge, no microwave, the ice machine was broken. It's pet friendly but no grassy area to walk my dog. The volume didn't work on all the channels just not worth the money we spent.

Lack of toiletries in bathroom, good thing we brought our own Shampoo/conditioner, body wash. No tissues, No Iron/Ironing board, no hairdryer, no coffee pot, no microwave or refrigerator. Overall room was spacious and big.

The staff seemed pleasant however the rooms were basic and what you expect for the rate, it was one night only however make sure to bring your own shampoo and soap as only a bar of soap is provided, the tv was damaged (a visible line on the screen) the shower head kept falling down on me while I tried showering and the floor felt dirty. I had wished there were more than two pillows for two people as well, what concerned me the most was the amount of dodgy people hanging around outside the area by McDonald’s. However it got the job done so can’t complain!

I never thought An American motel wouldn't have as a given, a little refrigerator or apartment size cooler and a coffee Maker. But this doesn't! No shampoo either. I thought every one did after a price of even 40$

Check in was easy. Rooms are outside which is perfect. I prefer to be able to walk to my vehicle without going through lobby. Room was spacious. Walls were really dirty, but overall it was as clean as it to be expected. Mc Donalds right next door. Pool was closed but seemed clean and no trash debris in area.

I don’t like that the room smells of mold that was very uncomfortable for us to sleep with that smell.

They need to be removed from you website, they give Expedia a bad name. Asked for security deposit when room was already paid for. Paid $20 extra for a room with a fridge. Room did not have one. Room smelled musty and dirty like it had been recently flooded. Phone did not work in the room. Contacted Expedia and they were able to have the room switched out, but the new room wasn't much better. The toilet was very loud and hinky and the shower was dirty.

The room had mold in the ceiling, the bathtub was full of hair, lots of bedbugs. The restroom was disgusting.

The staff and the room were wonderful. The outside of the property left something to be desired. It was run down and looked kinda scary, but inside was well taken care of. However more pillows would be nice. Only one per side of the bed and they were very flat.

Underwhelming experience. Wifi never worked our entire stay and staff simply said “try again”… no fridge or microwave or coffeemaker. Room smelled weird when a/c started. Laundry facilities were great, beds comfy.

For the price it was well worth the cost, the main issue me and my friend had was that the doors are not completely sealed, and with us being right by the stairs it was really easy to hear people while we tried to sleep

This was my first time at this place. The location is ok, on the 35 access road near Commerce. My previous stays at a Motel 6 have been good. This stay was not good. Initially, the room was freezing. I asked the front desk person to have someone looking at it. Twice. When I returned for the evening, the AC was running, a lot less cooler. I myself cannot sleep unless it's quiet in the room. Normally, I could have adjusted it myself. The temperature controls were broken. I was not thrilled about that. The room itself was a good size. It could have accommodated a small fridge and microwave. The wifi worked fine, but not the tv. No signal. There is a McDonald's next door, but it is in an area with a homeless problem. I learned my lesson. I see no reason to return ever again.

Beds were hard and uncomfortable and are limited to only 2 pillows on the bed. no fridge, not much space to place things but a table and round seat. very uncomfortable beds

Probably the worse night I have stayed in any hotel. I booked a non smoking room 6 months in advance and asked for a ground floor. We were put in a room that reeked of stale smoke. I went back to reception and they did give me a non smoking room, on the second floor and directly above the hotel laundry room.we had to put up with a car alarm going off every 10-15 minutes, there was shouting and arguing coming from the many homeless on the street beside the hotel. There was also the constant blare of the horns on the Freight trains close by and to complete our misery, the hotel laundry washing machines were being used late into the night. We couldn’t even cover our ears with a pillow as they only give you one each. Fortunately, as I had booked far in advance, I only paid $80 for the room. Most of the other guests had to pay $300 + as the College basketball finals were taking place and the hotel took full advantage to price gouge. I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend it. For info, I stay around 30+ nights a year in hotels throughout the US, so I have good experience of good, fair and bad. This hotel falls in the latter.

Nice room, big bed, good AC!

The area dossent feel safe! They ask for cash $40.00 money to enter early and......... They loock me out of the room two times. I tell them not to clean the room but they did! I have mising jaket and cask money.... Two times the key to open my room was not working! I tried to report that a white car with one in was with the ingene running for hours but not one was in the desk to report that! I recive a phone call very.......

The property was clean on the inside and outside my problem was no A/C and shower drainage did not work. Reported manager was supposed to call me back and never did. I have called several times and they just tell meanager is not available. Poor customer service gets poor ratings.

Just an overall horrible experience. I’ve stayed with this motel in the past and had great service and my room was clean. This time however, my room was dusty, smelled of smoke, and my sheets were not clean! My service with employee Vini was terrible. She was extremely rude and continuously said that I could not rebook nor receive a printed receipt as proof of my deposit refund. I am very dissatisfied with my stay at this Motel 6 here in San Antonio.

Staff was able to get me checked in 20 minutes before the check-in time, made my day easier by giving me a little extra time to get ready for a night out. Would come again any time I’m in San Antonio.

This is the terrible place to stay. The staffs were not available at the counter. The room condition was worst. it does not have bare minimum things like microwave, refrigerator and iron. I stayed for 2 nights and I regret staying at motel 6. The second night there was someone trying to open the room door at 2 am which was very scary. I was almost to call 911 but the person left by himself. very unsafe area. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

The front desk person looked upset when he had to get off his phone and computer to check me in. I know his family probably owns the property but be a little more friendly to your customers.

We live in San Antonio, but decided to stay closed to down town market square for fiesta and Motel 6 was convenient to stay the night and was close by the market square and liked that McDonald's as ext to the hotel.

Didn’t feel safe in the area. The people who work there are friendly. Not an issue. Just the people who hang out in the area that make it uncomfortable.

Property was close to everything i wanted to go and see

Hotel was close to downtown attractions, dinning and bars. Easy to get a cab. McDonald’s across the street. There is homeless behind the property, but they don’t bother you. There is a fence that blocks off the property. Brought my car and it was safe. Price was cheap. Room was not a 5 star room but you get what you pay for. I would go back.

Bums everywhere. A homeless encampment across the street. Do not stay here unless you have a man with you and are going to be in and out. Only a mile away from the riverwalk, but pay the extra money to be closer!

Area is not the best but very close to the market.

The room was decent for what I paid in the area I stayed. Right down the street from the Riverwalk and market Square so it was convenient. There was construction while I was there which made navigating a little more difficult. Overall, the room was OK and clean. The bed is not so comfortable, but like I said for the price, it was nice.

when we checked in it was pretty late at night. we couldnt see that the second floor rails was being held by tape and the place looked run down and unsafe. usually most hotels have drawers for customers to put their clothes but not this hotel. they stop doing complementary breakfast and didnt provide coffee. then on saturday we left most of the day and when we got back one of the rooms was wide open and they said that we did that when the cleaning crew came in the rooms to replentish clean towels and take out the trash they didnt close one of the rooms and we tried to talk to the front desk and she said nothing we can do. we didnt leave the room open, but the cleaning crew came in and took the old used towels and didnt close the room. will never stay at another hotel 6 in my life.

Clean, McDonalds in the parking lot (25Hrs) and walking distance to the Market Square.

Price is perfect just add breakfast like the others motels but otherwise ya good
