Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bloomington at Mall of America

Beds were stiff and didn’t sleep well, and would have been nice to know about construction going on before booking as half the pool area was blocked off.

The hotel shows wear and tear; as if upkeep had stopped some time ago. Ceiling tiles in areas of hotel appeared worn down and dirty, the tiles in hot tub were replaced over time, with work that seemed subpar of a good tiler. The one hot tub had a light loose with electric cord keeping it reigned in from rolling away. Both hot tubs the jets were pushing the water upward and not outward towards your back. The water was cloudy in the pool. Rust was on the water fountain. Nonetheless, our child enjoyed swimming there and that's what mattered. The walls throughout the hotel were banged up with dents/scratches and could use some patching and painting. There were several walls in our room which looked as if someone splattered something or opened a can with high pressure, creating a mess (obviously not cleaned up) The beds were stiff, and pillows lacked fluffiness. It is noisy being by the airport; not bothersome for someone who enjoys aviation :) The breakfast was good. Waffles, scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, Biscuits and Gravy, cereal, yogurt/vanilla, some fruit, and a few other options. There seemed be something for anyone. Our picky child ate decent. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. We didn't need them much but they always had a smile and were helping customers. Overall, it was okay considering the location cannot be beat. It's walkable to MOA and close to the airport. It has a pool and breakfast, which is all we needed for our stay.

Perfect close walking distance to MOA. Pools and hot tubs were overcrowded and one hot tub was closed. Beds were nice and comfortable. I would stay here again.

We loved the amazing staff and the closeness to the mall of America. The pool was the only downfall. There was so much chlorine in the pool and hot tub, it was burning my eyes and discolored my husband's swim shirt. I attached before and afte pictures ofbhis shirt.

We love this hotel. The people are super nice. We love the breakfast. We love the rooms. We love the two hot tubs and two smaller pools. It’s always been a good time at this location.

The walls and doors are paper thin and can hear anything and everyone in the hall at all hours. The air conditioner runs really loud which is fine as I like some constant noise but when it goes off then it is so quiet and can hear a pin drop. Hard to fall asleep with the contrast in noise. When air conditioner is not running it got so humid in the run really fast. The hallways are humid and musty smelling. Breakfast was subpar. Bathroom toiletries were subpar with no smell so while feel clean I certainly didn’t leave the shower smelling clean. The shower didn’t drain well and stood in standing water while showering. A large chunk of the parking lot is reserved for TGIFridays which seems strange. When getting back after dark, I didn’t want to park in a dimly lit area and then not much space to park. The hotel being close to MOA is great but still a little walk. From my desk staff were very nice and welcoming. While they were great, I won’t stay again due to the other issues. Not the worst hotel I’ve stayed in but also not the best. It’s just ok.

The breakfast was amazing! Staff was pleasant at front desk. Hot tub was weird, didn’t shoot jets out, they shot up, hard to keep hair dry. Rooms were nice. A little hike to mall but it was still doable!

Great stay! Only complaint was the lack of parking, most of the parking lot was full of cars left behind from people who flew out on vacation.

The reason why I chose this hotel was because of the convenience of the shuttle, pool and breakfast included. On Friday the 20th we checked in with the front desk for the shuttle to drop us off at the mall of America. As we waited the driver approached me and said that the distance was the same if we walked. He then says well you will have to wait because the bus leaves at 10:30am we told him that was ok. He didn’t even bother putting on the heater. That was so unprofessional as we did not want to walk since it was raining and it was cold we also had small children. That was very unpleasant for the driver to approach us and tell us to walk he obviously did not want to take us. That same day I called the front to have the shuttle pick us up they said 15min. I waited 30 minutes in the cold and raining for the shuttle I called and they said I had to wait another 18 min amber was the lady that then told me that their priority was pick up at the airport. I told her that was very disappointing as we pay for the hotel and we chose it for that reason. Terrible communication and mis information.

It was okay…could be cleaner…the carpets were gross and the curtains in the window….not sure how often those get clean…also not much you can do about it but that bathroom is way too small!

This hotel is very clean and well maintained. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good quality and evens was well stocked.

The room was went over quickly for cleanliness. There was a bunch of hairpins all over the floor. The faucet for the shower was broken on the last part of turning it so you recieved a pretty cold shower. I let them know and it sounds like they will fix that. Otherwise staff was great and friendly. The bed was a spring mattress. No topper.

Property was convenient for our family's getaway. Hotel staff was polite. Room did not met expectations for what was on site. Bathtub water wouldn't turn off all the way, and when messed with got worse. No hairdryer, and carpet in room was filthy. Looked like someone dripped chocolate syrup all over the main hallway and steps.

Check-in staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel in general seemed clean but our room had a peculiar smell (like mothballs) and carpet was stained and seemed damp and dirty. Luckily we could open the window a little to let in fresh air.

This hotel is in a great location with lots of food and shopping options. Sadly, our room was dated and dirty. Stained carpet and ceilings, random hairs all over the bathroom. I would have told the staff, but we arrived after a late flight and were only there for one night.

Everything was great except when we got to our room , the bathroom was covered in the previous guests hair. That was kinda gross.

Room hadn't been cleaned in a good bit. Layers of dust, and other dirtyness around the room, snot-rockets left on the wall.

Our room had stained and dirty furniture and carpeting. The front desk discounted our price and made minor adjustments to the space but the cleanliness overall was poor. The hotel was booked so changing rooms wasn’t an option.

Check in was great. Room was ok. Pillows were an issue. Obviously old and flat. Room was fairly clean and spacious. Breakfast was good.

The front desk manager and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was horrible! The bed felt like I was sleeping on a comforter that was laid on a concrete floor. The HVAC in the room would get super noisy at night when it started running. The front room was dark, even with the lights on! The floors were dirty and the there as quite a bit of damaged furniture on the furniture and the towels were super scratchy! I felt like we were at a hotel that would be a budget hotel, not one I paid $160/night for!

Clean rooms and bathrooms. Hated the pillows, the actual mattress was squeaky but I enjoyed the blankets.

Good standard hotel. No complaints. Do get airport noise.

Convenient location with 3 restaurants on property and Mall of America across the street. Our room was next to the hotel AC unit just outside our window so very noisy. Staff could be friendlier. Approached desk to say we were checking out this morning - complete silence - told him what room we were checking out of - still complete silence - he finally asked if I needed a receipt to which I answered yes - after handing me the receipt I said "thank you" to which he said "uh huh" - not too welcoming.

Great location and good breakfast and good value. My main dislike was that we couldn't alter the temperature in the room, we like it on the cooler side. But it was kept at a fairly comfortable level so we didn't complain.

Super convenient to Mall of America- just walk across the parking lot to skywalk access. Location is easy access from interstate. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Only downside was that it was very noisy- we were across from the elevator with the ice machine next door, lots of hallway noise, loud music at 3 am. Would stay again but request a room far from the elevator.

The staff was excellent. The room was clean. The location was great. Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable and the air conditioning is a joke. We checked in and the room was very warm. We turned the thermostat to a colder setting and went to the mall for a couple of hours and got back to a very warm room. It turns out there is a motion sensor and if you are not in the room, the AC shuts off. It took all night to cool down and never got down to the temperature we had set.

Great service from checkin to checkout. There was a small issue at the end that they with quickly and nicely. Service was wonderful

We made our first trip to this area and were very pleased - the hotel staff went above and beyond!

Nice room. The black guy at the desk (I didn't catch his name) was GREAT! Always had a smile and something nice to say. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy. We stayed for 4 nights and had a nice time. Breakfast was really good. Nice convenient place to stay to go to The Mall Of America and catch the tram to Target Field for the baseball game.

I called and told them that I could not come on my first day of my reservation due to an emergency. The representative I spoke with not only told me it was okay but also told Expedia. I get there and they cancelled my reservation saying that I was a no show. They then told me all the rooms were booked and they would have to walk me to another hotel. They then stated that I shouldn’t book through A third party because they are not required to honor my reservation. They then decided to put me in A room with no air due to it being the only one available. They switched my room the next morning. In that room, my tv stopped working, I reported it at 1:30pm and the maintenance didn’t come until 9:30 pm. They refused to accommodate any inconvenience. I wil never book wit them again.

The staff is excellent. We held an impromptu birthday gathering in the breakfast area for one of our family members one afternoon. They brought in bottled water and ice for us, at no cost, and made everyone feel welcome. The pillows were uncomfortable, but that was the only thing I didn’t like.

Pierre at the front desk was amazing our entire stay.

We were first put in a room and the air conditioning compressor went out. We asked the front desk twice to fix, never did. Room stayed 75 degrees until finally we ran into the maintenance guy (I believe his name was Ron). He stopped what he was doing checked out the air conditioning, then agreed the compressor was bad and moved us rooms all while our family enjoyed time at the pool. Told us not to hurry, and brought us our room key. This guy needs a raise. We stay in a lot of hotels and never had we had service like this. He did more than the front desk even cared to do. Bring your own pillows, they aren’t comfortable.

Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful! Rooms were clean but a little warm, thermostat would not go below 69. Breakfast was great! All food was hot and fresh with plenty of options for everyone. Pool and hot tub were clean with plenty of fresh towels on hand.

Nice hotel. Good breakfast. But man the airplanes are loud in the morning.

Convenient to MOA. You have your own car or use their xhuttle

The hotel is very close to the Mall of America, only a five-minute walk. The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was clean. The airport shuttle driver was also very helpful and friendly.

Dining, MOA, MSP and lite rail all very convenient. Good breakfast and shuttle service too.

It was hard to figure out where the front door was when we arrived. Once I figured what side of the hotel to check in was. Long lines to breakfast, not quite open and a bit cramped. Lobby is not as big as other lobbies. It is a bit cramped. It is walking distance from the Mall of America. Found out you can Skywalk to get to the MOA which is connected to Radisson Blu hotel garage and the MOA garage. That is very convenient. Wish the hotel told us about it but they didn’t tell us. I just discovered it.

Close to Mall of America. We were able to park at the hotel and walk for the rest of our stay. Great breakfast!

Friendly team members at front desk!! Good breakfast and extended times! The restaurant attached TGIF less desirable with run down environment and food not fresh.

Carpets are very dirty, air conditioning barely worked. Overall, the place needs to be updated. Breakfast area is clean but very congested…layout should be reevaluated.

I loved my stay and would have loved it even more if the breakfast food (scrambled eggs, sausage patty, and breakfast potatoes) had been hot. They looked scrumptious, just a little cold. I understand it is hard to keep food hot without burning so it wouldn’t keep me from coming back. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to do and see. The staff was great. I would definitely stay here ir at one of their other hotels across the country again.

BEST STAFF IN MINNEAPOLIS!! Our family loved staying at this hotel during our visit to Minneapolis. Awesome continental breakfast, generous checkout time (12pm), two indoor swimming pools and two hot tubs w/ towel service, and most importantly a safe walkway to Mall of America. Additionally, there is a TGI Friday’s and IHOP attached to the hotel.

This place was ok to stay at but won’t stay here again. Walking distance to the Mall of America. Airport shuttle was convenient. The breakfast was mediocre. The hot tub sprayed all over when the jets were on. Bed was hard. Room only gets cleaned every other day.

I booked this place instead of one directly attached to the mall because this place has breakfast included. It’s a two minute walk to the mall.
