The exterior & surroundings looked aged & deserted, but some aspects were modernized. Hopefully, they're in the midst of an overall plan. The parking lot was well-lit, though the designated smoking area was underneath the canopy in front where guests walk by. It was a bit dark inside, the check-in counter was basic, & the process was lengthy. Most questions were answered by the night host, while the daytime host was 10/10, noticing what people were looking at & anticipating questions before they could be asked! They had lemon water & coffee in the lobby, cookies at 7 pm, big pluses. The breakfast area was to the right upon entrance, not elaborate, but sufficient offerings & space for the number of guests that evening, who were primarily adults. The scrambled eggs were fresh, more so than any place we've stayed recently. The woman working breakfast was hardworking & keenly aware of guests' needs. The hallway was a bit dark, but the rooms were well-lit, had the requisite plugs, & had dark curtains. Despite being next to a community airport, it was very quiet. The mini-fridge & smallish microwave were sufficient. The TV was ~32 inches, tiny by today's standards. The pool area had some signs of wear, the pool itself was of modest size, & its temperature was on the cool side, while the hot tub was hot. Neither was crowded. Unlike any place we've been lately, they had a clock in the area, much appreciated. No restroom in the vicinity, perhaps there were in the outer hallway.
