Needs upgrade, new sofa, cushions dirty and stained. Breakfast was good, hotel was clean, pool closed, staff was friendly

Hotel is dated but clean. Pool was inaccessible - no water in it. That was a bummer. Breakfast was lacking - they had a waffle maker but only prepackaged breakfast sandwiches that you have to microwave and no cereal. Also breakfast was only offered 0600-0900. In our room, the telephone didn’t work and the a/c didn’t work well (room stayed humid).

No lobby rest room, dirty carpet it the room, only 1 entrance for hotel, pool was green, just a dirty place.

Stay was ok, pool, proximity to beach and balcony in room are all things I look for in a hotel. The major issue I had was that the site stated there is a hot tub, but there is not! What is “pictured” and assumed to be a hot tub is “a child’s pool”!

This is probably the worse hotel we have ever stayed in. Room was dirty, used soap bar and shampoo bottles left in the shower. Toilet had pubic hair in and on it. The bathroom sink did not have hot water. Turned it on and water leaked all over floor. Coffee machine in room, but no tray to put the coffee in to make. Breakfast was not too bad, but the coffee was horrible and not even drinkable. Mold in the dining room all along the front wall windows. Mold in and around the vents. Trash in the elevator when we checked in at 2:00 am was still there the next night. We seen multiple maids get off the elevators and not even pick it up. Property photos and reviews are very deceiving. Pool was empty, fitness room was dirty and had a shop vac and other tools in the hallway the entire time we were there. Skip this property!

It’s an average place to lodge. the breakfast is manageable. No noise but expect minimal roaches. The first day room has a strong smell that made me struggle to sleep. Bed is not comfortable but rooms and toilets are clean. Pool is still not open. I did not enjoy my stay. Not Exactly what I expected for the money and distance.

There was only one ice machine, the first room I was assigned to was not clean. No pool.

My room was big with a jacuzzi, but very dated with a little trash left in the kitchen of it. The room could definitely use an upgrade. Also the pool in the front of the hotel is not in service with dirty water in it. The breakfast was continental, not hot food. But overall it’s doable.

We reserved two rooms. One had a lot of hair on the bathroom floor, not swept. Other room had mildew on bed cover.

The Parking lot and surrounding area was very clean and convenient to check in. When you walk into the lobby area, it was so clean with a nice pleasant scent. The front desk staff attendant was very nice and kept a smile. The room was very clean and comfortable!

I woke up and i had bit marks on me then i toke pictures of the bugs in the bed

The carpet smelled. The tub was filthy! There was paint peeling off the walls and falling onto the floor. The free breakfast was a joke! Frozen sandwiches, granola bars, and some oatmeal.

A lot of broken things. Room was dirty. Looks like the bathroom had not been cleaned what so ever. There was dead bugs on the floor.

I am disabled and although there are only about 2 or 4 disabled reserved parking spots, I was very pleased to be able to park in one of the spots directly in front for my 3 days stay. I also enjoy the free breakfast, Oatmeal and coffee is my normal breakfast, so I am super satisfied, they also offer protein bars -- another one of my staples. And the rooms are GREAT. The rooms are immaculate. YOU will not be unhappy.

The overall was okay. Smelled good. However, closer inspection was disappointing. Black stain on mat in tub, socks from previous guests, and something under the covers on the new sheets.

The room was extremely clean. Bed very firm, and parking is very adequate. I do believe that the 2 set of disabled parking spots could be increased, as there are usually more than 2 disabled participants.

Room 215 toilet leaking and it was hard to flush you had to take top off to flush the toilet i should got a discount or another room.

The staff is great - however the vending machine and options were limited and the vending machine did not work The Internet is also very slow which will be an issue if not fixed and prevent me from staying there if it is a heavy work related trip like this one. I had to go next door to Starbucks during the day to get internet access at a better speed.

The bed was worn out without much supoort.

Mildew in the room and on the ceiling over the breakfast area. Phone didnt work. No wifi last two days. Dust everywhere in the room. Toilet not bolted down. Stay somewhere else people. Place is run down.

Furinture and pillars could be upgraded

Clean, but kind of dated. Main issue was i had a roll in shower with a shower seat. The seat had upholstery like a boat seat. It was cracked and ripped. When i flipped the seat up, black water was runni out of the seat

Overall the hotel is fine. My problem was that the doors didn’t shut easily. The door to hall had to be pushed shut - not close on its own. The bathroom door had to be shoved & felt like it wasn’t quite in the right position. The bathroom could be cleaner as well.

The deal clerk was very friendly and professional. Initial appearance of the hotel was okay. Three men sitting outside were smoking and I was not sure if they were guests or not based on their appearance. The room was clean. When we first used the toilet when it refilled it made a terrible noise. I reported to the clerk and she said maintenance would fix it in the morning. It was fixed. The woman maintaining the breakfast bar was so sweet and kept it fully stocked and very clean. Our main complaint and reason for a score of Poor is the way the night clerk handled our noisy next door guests the second night. We put up with them till about 2:30, thinking they would settle down. I went and asked the clerk to ask them to talk more quietly. Half an hour later I went down and said they were still noisy. I went with him, he stood at the door for 5 seconds and said "I don't hear anything" and went back to the front desk. I said stay longer and listen. He offered to move us to another room. Now it was around 3:30, I said no thank you, we did not feel like moving rooms in the middle of the night. A short time later I knocked on their door and kindly reuqested they speak more quietly. By 4-4:15 they stopped. We had to get up at 6am for our all day outdoor event. We hardly got any sleep. When I requested a refund for the night I was told $50 off was the best they could do. When went to leave, the main entry doors wouldn't open due to a blown circuit breaker.

Easy check in and friendly staff!

The receptionist didn't even acknowledge me standing at the front desk directly in front of her for a good 3-5 minutes as she continued a call on her personal cell phone. She finally took the confirmation page I had printed out I had set on the counter and began to work on the computer while still talking on the phone and never even greeting me. She finally said something after over 5 minutes of clicking around that the system was not working and thanked me for my patience. After 5 more minutes, she finally asked for my card and ID, but then said she couldn't chew the card to hold for incidentals but that she'd let me get my room card and I could pay that the next time I came to the front desk. I finally got to my room and prepared for bed when she called the room around 10:30 telling me I had to come back to the desk to pay at that time, which required getting redressed to go to the desk. It was a huge inconvenience and her lack of customer service and basic acknowledgement of me throughout the issue was unacceptable.

While the property could use updating, the staff was friendly, concerned and very accommodating. I was impressed with the attentiveness of every staff member encountered during my stay, including the manager Alex, front desk reception (Lexi) and house keeping staff (wish I remembered their names). Additionally, the location was perfect for purpose of my travel. Would definitely stay here again if I had to return to the area.

The lady working the front desk at check in was wonderful and really set the tone for the rest of the stay.

Location and price

Property was close to our destination. Restaurant selection in the area is awesome. Front desk service was terrible. No one at the desk in the morning to check us out. We did see the front desk person getting herself breakfast from the buffet but never saw them again. Had to just leave key on the front desk. No receipt! Junk cars in parking area need to be removed.

The location and area surrounding the hotel is awful. Addicts and people just wandering homeless. But once you are inside, things are fine.

It is close to Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

Quiet stay. Seems like the whole city is not a great neighborhood. Room was clean, only gripe was the funky smell coming out of the A/C unit. The kind you smell when you get in the room but don’t smell 20 minutes later.

The facility is worn but functional, the staff is very pleasent, however, the breakfast is less than adequate, ( no eggs of any kind and the waffels are soradic ando none on weekends. My biggest cplaint is there is no giest bathroom in the lobby ..

Friendly staff and the breakfast buffet was good.

If you are going to claim to have breakfast you should serve hot eggs otherwise you should say continental breakfast. Everything else was wonderful.

I chose this specifically because there was a buffet breakfast listed and it had a kitchenette. The buffet was non existent. There was only prepackaged muffins, nutrigrain bars, granola bars, packets of oatmeal, frozen eggs and sausage biscuits and one day out of three days they had bananas. They also had tiny bowls of raisin bran, Cheerios, special k and frosted flakes. The coffee and juice was decent. We were told that when a specific girl was there she always got out a toaster and had bread and bagels. The kitchenette had not a single dish, cup, silverware, cookware or even paper towels available. I will not be going back.

Sewage gases emanating in rooms was quite alarming. I was told this was a recurring event - every few months. Very unfortunate and unpleasant. The breakfast is just a “grab and go” assortment of packaged items. It’s misleading to say it’s a breakfast, it’s an assortment of snacks and bananas.

It was an ok place to stay. mini fridges have no freezer, only on my last day was the waffle maker out. heddy is greatly missed.

Nice public areas, friendly, helpful staff. Guest rooms could use an update. Noisy air conditioner. Breakfast decent, coffee not so much.

There were a couple of small issues with light fixtures, but the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast wasn’t great. I would have settled for good, freshly-brewed coffee service (especially if it was available 24 hours), but at least Starbucks and Wawa are right next door. Overall a good value and I would stay there again.

Breakfast was terrible. Not even the waffle machine was working.
